so we all know that harry potter, lotr and the inheritance cycle are like the greatest books ever written, but which of these is your favorite and why? mine personally is the inheritance cycle, because i can get imersed in it so easily

I agree, the Inheritance Cycle is definately my favorite. Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are close, but they don't seem to have as much literary magic as Inheritance. I can't wait until the next book comes out!

yeah they do come close, unfortunatly for jkr harry potter is last on my list of the three, and hopefully we wont have to wait much longer for the book

Before read the Inheritance, i liked of HP. But after read Eldest, I'm really loving the Inheritance. Well.. I think that there isn't other book that could be more fantastic and interesting that Eragon, Eldest, and Brisigr. =D

I didn't read Lord of the Rings yet, but I really want to do it... The problem is that i'm too lazy and i'm really buzy in this moment. But I wait to read they this year, yet.

Vrail, I study 8 hours for day so so. And I go out home at 5:45 a.m and i come back at 2:30 p.m

When I arrive, I usually "lunch" and after I sleep or use the pc. Sometimes I make my homework and i just have time to read on weekends.. I also do english course, twice a week.... And on weekends, when i didn't go out (my uncle's house) i stay at home sleeping... lol And the books of lotr are very big , although i've wanted to read they, i really don't have much time: Next month I'll start to work so, it'll be work, school, course. =\

they are pretty great, although we need some new titles like them

and oh. well sounds like you have a full life, i have to go back to school soon sadly

The most simple and less controversial reason is that it didn't hold my interest at all. I found it pretty boring and not worth the read. Which is why I've only read like two of them. Don't ask which ones. I can't remember. Although one had to do with a room full of mirrors or something.

this is a tough decision... it really is. i guess they are all my favorite. in order, it would go Inheritance, LOTR, then harry potter

IC is still the best at the moment, but if I get book 1 before IC book four that will change yet again...

yeah, you have to start with the first one in order to understand the story because I started with the third one, and i didn't get it at all, but then i read the first one and the second one,and then it made perfect sense afterwards...

That must be very hard for you. My school is pretty cool. One person reads a book from an author, then everyone starts reading books from that author. It's a craze for a couple weeks and then a new author pops up. Actually we were on Ted Dekker for like a month...

But! Anyway. My interest in inheritance is dwindling. Discworld and The Name of the Wind have taken over. Still I prefer inheritance to harry any day.

wow, harsh. i did all four books (including the Hobbit) for my reports, and she loved them.

lol i read all teh books ina little over 4 days. And I just finished a 500 paged book in about 4 hours at the library yesterday. It was so good, I couldn't put it down.

Seriously? *beat* I did something like that! When school started last September, I had to pick a book on the reading list and write a report on it. I hadn't read The Hobbit in over 2 years. I turned it in when it was due. And I'd written a journal from Bilbo's perspective and included days of the week. Like I said, I haven't touched The Hobbit in 2 years.

PJO. It took me a 2.5 hour train ride to finish the first one and a week to finish the second one. It put me off PJO...I'm worried the rest are going to be boring too.

There are five books, and I loved each and everyone of them. I hope they make more movies.

I can't think of anyone better to play Gandalf than Ian. HE did it so well, and his rather large nose fit in perfectly!

The Lord of the Rings!!!!! It is well better than Harry Potter - It is the fantasy part that is best about it.
