okay so i was wondering WHO is jeod i mean i know hes a one of broms friend who helped him save a dragon egg from the king , BUT is he a dragon rider? and if he's not how i she assosicated with the varden , these questions came to mind whe i read the book for the second time ( ive read both of them btw)

were pretty sure hes not hes just an old friend of brom

so whats his background whit the varden whats he got against the empire ... and why would he be teamed up with a rider if he wasnt one ?

i guess not but it just seems odd how he does stuff like i wanna know more about him it bugs me ... lol i cant believe we have to wait till 08 maybe even summer of 08 for the third one

this is what i think: jeod is just a old friend of brom's. they just happened to meet. no special status; just a regular, everyday person.

and she and once wanted an exciting life, but never got it. jeod was once a scholar, but now just reads books for the heck of it. at least, until that incident with roran and the dragonwing....

know what i'm thinking is: why does jeod hate the empire so much? from what we know, jeod is not a rider and it is very unlikely that he is one. so what's with the anger against the empire? i'm sorta thinking like you know, aiedial.

well, why does anyone hate the empire: cause its evil, corrupted, greedy, evil again, uncaring, and is ruled by a really evil guy. Maybe CP will explain in book 3, but it may be unnimportant to the story

well i think Joed was a very good friend of brom's. but brom was a rider so maybe by brom Joed got intruduced to the varden.I think Joed hates the empire so much cause of the attcks to his ships. maybe some1 in the shipping thing is a spy and found out Joed was shipping goods to Surda and told the razac about it and they are the ones attacking his ships and making him poor.

but in all i think Joed is just a good person in the varden trying to help them.BUT we'll have to wait and see if he turns out to be something more

i dont know but its possibe for him to come back into the main plot

jeod could be rider you never know!! we know that brom set up the varden so he could have found other riders that survived the fall to join. that might explain why the elves agreed to help the varden in the first place!!

well jeod and brom were helping the vardon to get the egg but when brom went missing jeod went to tierm to get a wife and when brom shows up he knows that the egg has hatched! but i dont know if hes a rider or not!

Jeod had helped the varden and had contacts in both the shipping businesss and the varden so that's why Brom went to him

and he later plays a part in Rohans adventure

Yea that's true. But i think he was joining the varden with valuable information (saphira's egg) and on the road they built a friendship that lasted for decades.

Yea true, he was a philosopher and a scholar that read tons of books (maybe even more then us :O LOL) so that's where he gained the knowledge of the secret entrance.

I still want to know what exactly happened when they where in the castle tho. Brom and Jeod never really explain why they got separated while inside so i can only imagine what happened to both of them while in there and what happened to Jeod after Brom toke Saphira's egg and ran.
