i went to toys'r'us yesterday and saw the guide there for $20, but it was the wii version. the poster was in there, and it looked pretty cool.

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess, anyone?
They are the exact same thing except for controls. There is no game cube guide. There is just a second list of moves in the back.

They aren't different except for the controls. I looked it up.
Meh, when I got the game and the guide, there was only the white Wii version. It has all of the differences covered, which are just controls.

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess, anyone?
hmmmm. 10 or 11 temples i think. and, in between, the pearls, various things you have to do to help the girl from your village, what's-her-face, maybe one or two other things. its been a long time, sorry. the temples take up most of the time. but you can generally do stuff in between them.
and yes, the temples are VERY confusing.

there aren't any TEMPLES. You can't really get through an entire temple just being a wolf. Only the escape in the beginning is all wolf.

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess, anyone?
there ARE some instances, though, where you have to be a wolf to do some stuff. For example, in the earth temple, there are invisible ghost rats that cling to you and make you go slowly. You have to go into wolf form and put on your senses, then spin attack to kill them. They don't hurt you, they just weigh you down...which does kill you, since you sink into the sand if you are in it too long. ;p

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess, anyone?
being link probably is the best, but being a wolf can be really fun too. if you go into castle town later in the game, while in wolf form, you attract guards to you. but thier trembling with fear, and doing a spin attack sends them running. my record, as far as i remember, is 5 at once!! flee!!
but those rats are a huge pain. so are the Poes...

poes are fun. they add challenge, especially in a room filled with baddies you'd rather fight as Link.

yeah, that happens once or twice in the Cave of Ordeals, everyone else you can fight as Link, but they come.....annoying. I'll never get them all. too many, and hard to track down too.

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess, anyone?
it's 50 rooms, each with enemies, getting progressively harder. At the end, you are able to get fairy tears at any fairy fountain, so it's worth it.

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess, anyone?
you forgot to mention that its incredibly hard. with magic armor, fairys' tears, and magic chu jelly i made it, but still. and other potions. it is worth it though.
and a lot of these things are side quests, but the Magic armor is a must have. very useful, and makes you look amazing. And going through the cave of ordeals is good, cus you can go back for fairy's tears. i might have done it after though. idk

you don't go back for fairies tears. you can get them at any fairy fountain after you beat it.

Lol, well it IS a really good game, that's for sure! First of all, you're not Zelda, you're Link, and yes you don't look like him at first, because you get the outfit a bit later on, not very far though

how? name 3 good facts for why its stupid. Were you even looking at the right game? its an amazing game, with good graphics, at least in the newer one. great storyline, gameplay, and fun side quests. You might have looked at an older one, cus Twilight princess OWNS all.

btw, we're at the part of the game at this place called the goron's mine. does anything special happen there? and we've also received a new shield after learning the shield attack. the game's getting pretty fun now... lol it was fun learning sumo wrestling!

yeah, you can't judge this game on the beginning-that was probably the most boring part. at least, the thing where you have to watch them talk and stuff. when you actually play, it's fun. and later, you actually get a sword and shield and stuff. you actually have to play the game to tell whether it's good or not

wow what's with all these bosses?! they're all so easy to beat! i wonder- is ganondorf really hard to beat? because he looks pretty small compared to all the other bosses, but im not saying that size effects strength.

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess, anyone?
Yeah, he's at the end. And probably the hardest too. The dragon was pretty hard. But most are pretty easy. the temples are the hard parts. and he's the last boss, and you don't even see him till then, I don't think. But you kinda know you'll get to him, cus of the other games. It's not really a LOZ game without him.
I kept it epona. It's a good name.

The water temple's also like that---round and round. Goron mines was hard cus i wasn't used to the temples yet, at least partly cus of that, but the bos was EASY!! not one of the funnest either.

the mini-boss was funny though...
yeah. I always keep the names. It's just not LOZ w/o Epona, and it's REALLY not if you aren't named Link.

yeah, we kept our name as link, but who is epona? is that like link's horse's name in all the other zelda games?

He was better, but i don't remember him being funny....the water temple final boss was fun. Well, TP had Epona, but WW didn't. I have yet to play Ocarina, but i do know Epona's in others--if you have a horse, its epona. in WW, you had the King of Red Dragons, a boat that talked--it was actually the King of Hyrule.

being link is best, but being a wolf can be fun too, especially later, when you can change at will. I love when you jump on the shadow monsters and bite them repeatedly.

I think I like this one the best have you played any others? definetly the best i've played--of two, this and WW. WW was fun, but much more childish, and while TP is lots of fun, with great mini games, it's more serious, with better graphics, new weapons, great bosses, and a GREAT storyline. Amazing game. All who disagree will be smote/smitted/smitten. lol

I've played wind waker, so what's it about? do you still fight ganon? A rhetorical question, maybe, but you just defeated him. stuck a sword in his skull, and turned him to stone. He can't comeback too fast after that.

I like to just ride around on Epona all over the place. It's fun...

go to the fishing hole. you get to fly fish from a canoe!!! it's so fun & relaxing...no need to get up early and get on a stinky boat! ^.^

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess, anyone?
it's not really all that long. it's pretty mid-length. I think the fishing hole is near Lake Hylia...that or near the Zoras...somewhere in between. it's on the riverbank.

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess, anyone?
You can get rupees for them at Hyrule Town, some girl in an alley gives them for it, if you have collected them all, you'll receive (if I remember correctly) a bigger wallet! ^^ (Yes, I have them all ^^ )

Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess, anyone?
yup. that's right. You get 50 for each bug, and you get 100 when you complete a pair, so that's 150 per pair. it's a good way to fund the freaky baby guy's shop thing so you can eventually get the magic armor.
