Name: - Rauthr Wyrda

Age:- Unknown. Estimated at between 700 and 900 years.

Gender: - Female

Skills:
- Rauthr is skilled in the art of disguise, and can pass for a human or an elf easily where deemed necessary. However, although she can remain in a physical human or elven form for weeks on end if need be, her vicious and bloodthirsty temperament is quick to betray her evil intentions.
- Although her skill with a sword is somewhat lacking, she more than makes up for it with her adeptness when using Tetsubo,* and she also has something of a talent with a crossbow. However, she does not generally use her crossbow as she gets more enjoyment out of killing in close combat.
- Her skill in magic varies greatly across the spectrum, and while she excels at breaking the minds of others – either to glean information or to take control, and also at the breaking and undoing of enchantments, she is not particularly practiced in magical forms of defence.

Race: - Shade.

Hair:
- Rauthr's hair, in her true form, is roughly waist length, layered and as straight as an arrow. An almost pearlescent shade of deep pink, she wraps it in a navy bandage from the nape of her neck, almost all the way to the bottom (Yuna style ;]).
- However, when disguised as an elf or a human, her hair is short and black, tied back into a short, rough ponytail for practicality.

Eyes: - Her eyes are large, deep set, and slanted slightly inwards. They are an almost neon green in colour.

Home Village: - Rauthr was born within the empire, however even she does not know where as she is no longer human and so many of her memories from that life are long gone.

Parents: - Unknown, however, given the length of time that Rauthr has been “alive” it is highly likely that they are both dead.

Siblings: - Unknown, those she had (if any) most likely perished centuries ago.

Character Personality: There is really no way to describe the personality of a shade apart from pure, unabridged evil. Rauthr finds pleasure in the pain of others, and feeds off the life force of those she kills. She enjoys seeing creatures in mental pain, as well as physical, and has been known to torture some of her victims for weeks on end out of sheer boredom. She revels in the sight of blood and is generally not the sort of creature you’d like to come across in a forest after dark. Occasionally, Rauthr suffers flash backs of the life she once lived, and sometimes pieces of her old, human personality show through in her soul’s desperate attempt to regain control of her body, and in these times she has been known to show mercy. This is quite probably her main weakness. The small part of her being which still seems to be human is convinced that there must be away for her to return to humanity, but the spirits of darkness consuming her body have other plans; they believe that there are specific triggers that cause these bouts of humanization, and so Rauthr spends much of her time trying to figure out exactly what they are in order to destroy them.

Character History: Rauthr was originally a human girl by the name of Aleaia. Sweet-natured and kind, she had but one simple dream - recognition. For years Aleaia looked up to the great magicians of her time, and after a lot of hard work and rigorous training she eventually became practiced in the art of magic. These were troubled times, and in order to save their homes the magicians of the area Aleaia was born in began to practice the art of sorcery, should conflicts arise. It was soon discovered that Aleaia had something of an uncanny knack for this sort of magic and although at first Aleaia had been afraid of her skill, and unwilling to use it, unknown to her the spirits she summoned became slowly more and more evil, and each time she used her powers her mind corrupted more and more. Eventually her mind became so warped that she believed that everyone around her had turned against her. She began to use her skills against those she loved, claiming vengeance against people who had done nothing to hurt her. Then came the time when the spirits she summoned were much too powerful for any human to control, and blind to her actions, she called upon spirits so evil that they destroyed what was left of any humanity she had had in her soul, and claimed her body for their own. The spirits called themselves “Rauthr” which means Misfortune, and “Wyrda” meaning fate, and sought to bring an end to life in Alagaesia. Ever since that day the spirits have wandered the land, causing chaos and feeding upon the fears of others.

Weapons:
- *Tetsubo is an ancient Samurai weapon, carved out of wood, it is a sort of Staff, about 2-3 times the size of a baseball bat, with a six sides and a sort of handle area, the "business end" as it were is adorned with large iron studs or spikes, set roughly every 3 or 4 inches along.
- Below is probably the best modern example I've seen.

- This is the weapon I would like the character to use, however I do appreciate that it could be seen as being rather out of context, and if proffered I will switch it for a more ordinary weapon.

Character's Physical Description: In her true form, Rauthr is 5”9’, and extremely slender. Her arms and legs are long and muscular, and her shoulders and back are chiselled, as if from many years of hard labour. Her skin is a bright turquoise in colour, speckled with dots of fuschia and lime on her face and arms. Her ears are pointed, and where her fingernails should be, she has claws and her teeth are pointed, as an animal’s might be.

Dreams for the Future: - Rauthr’s only dreams are to destroy the little humanity she has left and bring an end to happiness in Alagaesia.

Reason for Dreams: - Because she’s Evil?
