 Chldren of the Lamp READ - IT - NOW! this series is rly good! i read them over a year ago and forgot everything so now i'm reading them again! there's going to be a fifth book out by this winter as well. and i didn't even know there was a fourth one!
EDIT nearly a day later: well i hope somebody might post here. c'mon, at least vote! lol.

Re: Chldren of the Lamp yea, i like that one. the third one is also really good. i forgot everything from so i just reread it in one day! lol! and now i have to read the 4th one for the first time! lol.
and i recommend this book to anyone who likes Inheritance, HP, and books like Deltora Quest. this book is full of adventure and the greatest suspense ever.

Well it's about two 12 year old fraternal twins, John and Phillipa who live in New York City and are the kids of rich, but caring, parents. Life seems rather normal (well as normal as it cud get for two rich kids) until they find out they have wisdom teeth, precociously. When they get them removed, they see their British Uncle Nimrod in a dream while under the influence of anesthesia. Uncle Nimrod tells them to come to London for the summer. They tell their parents and they agree. Now, it turns out they're djinn, as there uncle tells them when they arrived. Made of fire, they are the keepers of luck in the world. There are six tribes, 3 keepers of good, 3 keepers of bad.
Now, they go to Cairo to discover that the homeostasis (the balance between good and bad) has been upset, so it is leaning towards the bad. This may be be due to the evil djinn Iblis and the spirit of Akhenaten, and old pharaoh of Egypt. They now have to stop Iblis and save the world.
That's the first book (The Akhenaten Adventure). the second is the Blue Djinn of Babylon, the third the Cobra King of Kathmandu, and the fourth the Day of the Djinn Warriors. The fifth is called the Eye of the Forest and is coming out around christmas time. there is rumored to be at least 7 books.
These books are very suspenseful and books u just can't put down. Finishing one book makes you want one more, and then another, and so on. In other words, it's very good and like a slightly less mature version of HP or Inheritance (only because of not as much romance, though there is some coming up- it was hinted)
