if galby dies, will shruikan be released of the magic that is binding him to galby? will he then turn good and help in the reconstruction of the race??? or when galby dies will he die with him? maybe shruikan will choose to die so he can be reunited with his old rider in the vault of souls...

well i dunno..maybe he is somehow released from the magic BEFORE Galby dies and helps to kill galbatorix..but still, even that bond between them is a bond nonetheless..it has to be, at the least, very strong so i don think that anyone will be able to severe it..besides that would req him to defeat Galby in a contest of strength..but it could also be that Galby's magic is the only thing sustaining Shruikan because Shruikan's actual rider was killed..
n der's one more thing..does galby hav a second gedwey ignasia? as in one frm his first dragon n one frm shruikan?

i dont think so cause he didnt get shruikan when he was a hatchling, he was already a big boy! lol! no i dont think so, but if he did, it might be what is giving him all the power..2 gedwey ignasia=double the power....who knows, theres no evidence against it...atleast none that im aware of

no, he would'nt be getting that much power from the Gedwey Ignasias..i mean in order to get more power, Eragon has to reach out to Saphira..and his first dragon is dead so..

but one thing..can you imagine the amount of power Shruikan would have..I mean he's soo old, he must be HUGE and plus that ancient a mind would have enough power to destroy anything..and then there's the black magic too!

Eragon may open the vault of souls and find the soul of Shruikan's actual rider..now seeing that soul and the power of it, may just severe Galby's bond with Shruikan..I mean Shruikan has been twisted to serve Galby's madness so seeing, feeling the presence of the actual rider may fuel the connection between the old rider and Shruikan, which is stronger and then Galby becomes weak..but for that, the bond between the old rider and Shruikan would still have to exist

I'm thinking he'll die. their link is a mockery of the real thing, but i have a feeling that it will have the normal affect.

it will have the normal effect, at least until Galby is not overpowered...but there has to be some flaw in it..i feel that the link would be severed if Galby allowed it to...maybe by mistake

well if normal riders actually have a bond with thier dragons, Gilbys just twisting Shruikan to serve him. Would the back magic die? If so would he be overcome by the severing adn go crazy or would he be overhwelmingly happy? To many questions....

when Galbatorix dies, Shuriken will most likely die with him. Brom said that a Rider live as long as his dragon, and vise versa.

I dont think he is good anymore. I dont even think he is technically "alive" Glaby is just using him as a puppet. Like brom said, a rider losing a dragon or the other way around rips your mind apart.

i have thought about it alot, and i think shruikan will see his old rider in the vault of souls, then theres a big sappy moment, then shruikan decides to kill galbatorix because he remembers all the wrong doings galby has done, especially to him, so then galbys dead and then shruikan kills himself so he can be with his old rider

I think that Shruikun hates Galby with a passion because they neva leave Ur'bean (sp)this mite b bcos Galby doesnt wanna show that Shruikun is not underhis control, he cannot force a dragon to do what it doesnt want to, no 1 can as Brom told Eragon in ERAGON. The black magic must have some power over him but not alot so Galby keeps Shruikun close, jus to make sure that he cannot doin anythin... also Shruikun may actuallu be dead and Galby is hiding his death.
i think however that as soon as Galby is killed Shruikun will be set free and may possibly mate with Saphira before he dies (but probably not)

i kinda think that he could be good simply because he wasent originally evil and when the ties between him and the one who brainwashed him are broken we relly can only gusse wht will happen. since we can only gusse i hope that he surves and goes good or dies peacfully
