saphira doesn't have to mate with one of the dragons that have riders. she could mate with a wild dragon!

um, are u forgetting that there is a third egg and its a male!! just a hint. and um no there aren't any wild dragons. they all died, if this was real life then thats not too likely but it doesn't fit with the story

saphira cant mate with a wild dragon seeming as galby killed all dragons cept for glaedr shruikan and the forsworn dragons aswell as the three eggs

I thought Galby killed all of the Riders dragons, not all dragons. I think that would have been pretty hard. Look at the war between dragons and elves-obviously there were a big number of dragons(or they were really strong) becuase otherwise the elves would crush them (wouldn't they?) And since Galby can't yet confront the elves how would he be able to kill of all the dragons? I still don't think that Saphira will mate with a wild dragon

it doesnt work like that because if that were so galby would still be opposed by the riders

well that is ture but what if the dragons stopped giving their eggs when they found out about Galby? And does it say anywhere in the book about there being no more dragons?

that also wouldnt work as theyre bound to give eggs by the ancient language

There could be dragons elsewere in the world, but i dont think saphira will mate with a wild dragon its just not fitting. I say that arya should be the next rider of the green dragon and then it can solve both eragon and saphira's love issues.

Saphira won't mate with a wild dragon because everybody thinks that there are only three dragons, plus Glaedr left.

So far, the only dragons we know of in existence are Saphira, Glaedr, Thorn, Shruikan, and though not a dragon yet, the last egg.

Now, there can be a possibility that there are wild dragons...somewhere.... out there..., but I deem it highly unlikely. Maybe they're in some far away land like Asia.. (if there is an asia in the story... what i mean is the map can extend to more than what CP shows on his map) but that would mean Saphira would never meet that other wild dragon. Unless she deecded to fly really far. Ok I'm getting nowhere with this but what I'm trying to say is that if there were a wild dragon, Galbatorix would have already gotten to it. If not, others would have spotted it maybe but there has been no sitings. All in all, Saphira's only hope in amting is with these last few dragons, and since Glaedr already rejected her, she has 3 mates she can choose from. I doubt it would be Sruikan, I doubt it would be Thorn, there... it leaves the last unhatched dragon. My only question now is how they knew the last dragon's a male.

I think it's a possibility that she will mate with a wild dragon. Albeit, the chances are slim. But we don't know for sure if Galby killed off ALL the dragons. Plus, her mother was a wild dragon. So who's to say that the trait won't be passed down to Saphira ?
