Can the Empire really stand up to the rest of alagaesia? We have been told the empires army consits of around 16000, the urgals are almost all gone, durza is dead, razzac ar to few and they have only one rider. There are about 4000 humens with the varden, that doesnt include the dwarfs, eragon, shapira, Surda , du weldenvarden and those loyal to the varden within the empire. It seems to me as if they wouldnt stand a chance if the rest of alagaesia wer to stand up to them.

I'm not so sure about that, he couldn't kill them all. If so he would of crushed Surda long ago with his magic and armies.

but he has not attack surda, because he does not believe it to be trouble for him "while we know it his".

if he is as strong as you say him nd his army would already have crushed any resistance, no mater how small. he probly would have marched into Du Weldenvarden to find ellesmera

Galbatorix his scare of Du Weldenvarden, so he his waiting that he has a rider with him to go there. I think he his not attacking Surda, because he concentrating on attacking the vardens.

If he knew where Ellesmaria was he would of destroyed it years ago, or sent spies at least

It might be a city but its a hidden city even eragon said in the book eldest that he could barely see it at first

Yeah and there is that elf who guards the city and won't let anyone pass, plus Eragon said that without the help of an elf he would never have found the city.

Remember "If we wait, they'll grow stronger" i forget whos line this is, i think it's nasuada's. It seems the empire has fews towns/cities.. I don't get how come that few towns can provide huge army to the empire. Unlike Heroes of might and magic game (if u played it), in there the monsters are "breed"..!

Yes, and now that Galbatroix has Murtagh as a rider......Galbatroix can invade the elf's (If he finds it that be) with Murtagh and destroy them, because at the end of Eldest Murtagh says, 'I know spells that the elf's not dare speek in case it would destroy them or something like that.

i think that before the empire would be able to kick the vardens butt but he didnt know where they were. but now with eragon they still only have a pretty small chanc of winning

No because he has the elves help and he practically is an elf now because of the power up.

but now Galbys very annoied cos hes lost 90000 roughly and Durza and the Urgals
and the last 2 battles with the varden

Hes gonna be like "DIE VARDEN!!!!!!"

He will be desperate for allies and might get 1 urgal tribe to help him like the varden did
He will drawn all his forces to Uru'bea(spelt wrong) but leave the ra'zac in Helgrind

I heard Galbotorix absorbs the souls of the dead and feed on their power. I think that was the purpose of Eragon opening the vault of souls.
