Book 3 Release Date Rumours

Some rumours have been floating around the internet lately on such sites as Wikipedia, claiming that there is an official release date for Book III of our favourite Inheritance Trilogy. We can successfully say that currently there is no official release date or title for Book III.
If there was, Eragonplus.com would be one of the first websites to know about it.

You can't really trust Wikipedia, so I wouldn't by what they've said, it probably won't come out when they say. People put up lies on there.

Yeah, since wikipedia can be edited or changed by anyone (I think). So I think that if anyone has come across a site claiming that there is an official release date for book III, then i would check it out on alagaesia.com, Eragonplus.com mothersite, shurtugal.com, or shadeslayer.com if it ain't in any of those four sites than i don't think its true.

no offence to louis but sur'rtugal would probely be the first one

lol, And another problem they even had with the 2nd book and movie. They came out way later then places I read. So don't be suprised if they say an "official date" and it comes out a week or two later.

Actually I wrote that on the main site that EragonPlus would be one of the first sites to know about Book III release dates and such. EragonPlus, Shadeslayer, and Shurtugal would be the first three sites to know about it.

In my opinion Louis has done a much better job with EP than Mike.M has done with shurtugal. (No offense to mike if he reads this)

i havnt been on shur'rtugal hardly at all, but sf rox!!

anyway, wikipedia isn't that accurate, and dates aren't always right. alagasia would probably be the first to know, being the official sight. that's how i got to sf... glad i did.

anyone with a good date and proof pm me, i want to know bad

Trust me, if we knew the date or title of book 3, I'd have put a huge post about it in this forum and in my signature - oh and on the main site of course.

I have been searching on line to try and find out when book 3 is coming out. The only thing that I could find was that it will be late this year. Most likely in August, since that was when the first two books were published. Do you know if they will make eldest into a movie?

Eldest is not 100% gonna be made into a movie though if you ask me i beleive there are but remeber that is my opinion and there is no 100% garuntee of it

right now the only garuntee there is is that there will be a trird book (unless he dies which wont happen i hope) movies and dates are not a garuntee

Has anyone read the series (by Jean M. Auel) The Clan of the Cave Bear?? The Shelters of Stone was the last one but it left off with a cliff hanger. Does anyone have an idea of when the next book will be published? no no. there is gonna b an Eldest movie. the Inheritance trilogy is a planned movie trilogy. but count on it, the Eldest movie will not come out until Empire does. they have to wait since the producers screwed up the first movie so badly.

yea they mest up the 1st movie so bad i dont even see how they can make eldest but im sure some how they will manage it

here's a really silly question when you get an email saying that you have gotten an answer to one your questions, how are you suppossed to find them? i thought that when you clicked on the link provided it brought you straight to the reply. im new to the site and a bit confused on how this works.

There is no set date for Book 3 yet( ) But im really hoping its soon.

yea there's no real date when the eldest the movie comes out but would it be better if empire came out first or the second movie

I think Ive probably already said this but Ill do it again. Just in case I havent. What Ive heard for the release of book 3 is August of this year. Im really looking forward to it.

Im not sure oh the exact date but... i heard it was deffinatly going to be out by mid july early august(which isnt to far away. And on the note of the second movie... I heard that ed speleers signed to play in eldest and there just waiting to start it cuase of getting some of the new characters together that are going to be in it. It supposed to start with a scene about orik, and a really good thing i heard was they were seriously going to go by the book as much as possible ( even though the first movie didnt folow the book much, I still thought it was really good, AND THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ON SAPHIRA!!)

It's soon, I expect. Since he released the third chapter. I have to stop for a second and wonder why I never thought Kveth wuold be two syllables, as CP says it in "Kveth Fricaya?"

Firstly I would like to say this: At the moment, Random House is thinking of releaseing book 3 sometime in 2008. It was mentioned a few news articles back, at least it won't be released until at least after september this year. Also, there is no official release date for book 3.

Secondly, I have heard no news of ed speelers signing up for an eldest movie, and I also haven't heard if there will be an eldest movie.

BUT that doesnt mean it isnt true just cuz you havent heard anything.
Just dont hold your breath guys.
these people have a way of getting your hopes up for something, then changing their minds last minute.
and after the Eragon movie... I dont even want them to make and Eldest one.
They cut out Roran & Katrina so much, how can they stick to the book?

im glad to hear that they are going to start in on making eldest a movie. the same kid who played eragon is going to be in it right? ill have to look and see if they have any updates on it. im with you on the fact that i love the movie even though they didnt follow the book that well. i do disagree with you on how they did saphira. she didnt look a thing like how they discribed her in the book. i cant wait for the 3rd book to come out. ive been making myself read read eragon very slowly so that when i start reading eldest, book 3 should be out.

yuppers animal ed speleers still playin eragon i heard he singed for it WHich for a first movie.... I thought he do excellent... better then some senior actors whove been doing it for how many years....

its going to be empire.... im pretty darn sure... it fits all too well. He would be stupid not to make the title empire actually.

A part of me wants the third book to release, but a part of me doesn't want the adventure to end, this pause has kept it alive, and everyone wondering what happens next. After the third book its down hill from there and on to a new series... its kind of weird to look at it that way but there is alot of truth to it.

I always thought it was coming out this summer. But apparently not. You'd think we'd know the title of it if it was coming out so soon.

I thought it was out this august!!!! Oh, why, why ,why, i want it to be out now, i dont think I can wait till next summer, Christmas will be my limit... ill go mad after that... Somebodys going to have to personally contact CP and ask for a release date, even if its ages away, atleast we would know...

In an interviews Christopher said that he was tentatively considering Empire.

Random House released a report some time ago which contains info that says that the intended but unspecific release date for Volume III is 2008.

I have recently heard that the release is going to be summer of 2008. It will be named Empire and, as we well know, will have a green cover and a green dragon facing towards the right. I'll try to find the article again and edit it onto here.

Well its still the same... Summer 2008 is the best we can narrow it down to

ugghhhhhh, too far away! jeez, it'll have taken him nearly 3 years to write it, maybe more!! (editing of eldest, time from finished copy to actual release date and distribution) it'd better be very long!

i hope you are right about the "january" release date. but he better hurry. next year another potter movie comes out plus prince caspian comes out as well. if anyone has read the books, the lion the witch and the wardrobe, then you know what im talking about. if you havent read them yet, then you should. they are definitly my favorite series.

Northern lights is an amazing high fantasy story where evryone has an ickle pet thats part of their soul.
