 Who is eragon's last sibling?the book eldest is called eldest because murtagh is the eldest of his siblings, not elder, eldest, as in more than 2 people. so who do you think eragon's last brother or sister is.

I don't think he has another sibling. But he does have a cousin so I think he might be the next rider.

NO you can be the eldest of 2 two people, you and another, there doesn't have to be a third person

That's not why it's called Eldest. Paolini said it was called Eldest to represent the fact that the ones inheriting the problems from the last gen (an inheritence that would go to the elder sibs, but it also represents single borns for some reason) and having to deal with them for the first time.

But Hrothgar isn't really Orik's father. He adopted Orik because I think Orik's parents died. I'm not sure though. But I'm pretty sure Hrothgar adopted Orik.

He did. But that doesn't mean Orik can't inherit the throne. But I guess he might not. Nonetheless, that's still why it's called Eldest.

I think it is called Eldest because Murtagh is older than Eragon so he I guess, inherited, the blade that Morzan used.
