Post Sky
Name: -Tristan Du Vard (Nicknamed Skye)

Age:- 19

Gender: - male

Skills: Good at rough-style street fighting, as well as charming his way out of trouble. He knows how to create a diversion to get out of a bad situaton, and he's good at feigning ignorance to avoid being given all the responsibility he could really handle being saddled with.

Race: - Human

Hair: - Brown, sort of all over the place, reaches the base of his neck.

Eyes: - Hazel

Home Village: - Gil-Ead

Parents: - Jareth and Hyacinthe Du Vard (Jareth being dead)

Siblings: - Rolf (Older) and Juliette (Younger)

Character Personality: Tristan tends to change his personality depending on what behviour is most likely to keep him out of trouble. For the most part, however, he's looking for a good thrill and is willing to do just about anything to get it. He doesn't really care about anything going on around him, and only does as he's told if he can find a way to put his own spin on it. He'll do anything to keep his sister and mother safe, but isn't concerned with the affairs of his brother. Around his betters he comes across as shy, slightly ignorant of things, and sometimes almost believes it himself.

He tries as hard as he can not to owe anybody any favours and, as a result, owes nearly everyone in the castle a favour. He likes to justify his actions with the fact that no one understands him, and often overlooks the fact that people might understand him more if he'd simply talk to them. The only living things he does get along with without having to disguise his true personality would be his dragon, mother, and sister. He gets along with his brother as well, but only in a rivalry slightly stronger than that of siblings.

He's sarcastic, or quiet, depending on who he's around. He lets circumstance rule his speech. In a fight, or a heated moment, he'll usually throw around witty remarks and euphemisms to make himself seem more clever, as a ruse to make it seem like he knows what he's doing more than he does and hide the fact that he's still growing into his task as a dragonrider.

In calmer situations he'll be more casually arrogant, asking no questions and trying to figure out for himself what's going on so as to look like he already knows everything. However, he's easily fooled and can be switched in alliances on a whim, if only in his mind.

He's fond of pulling dangerous stunts, which earned him his nickname because when he's not working- a task he constantly tries to avoid- he's flying with his dragon, practicing battle tactics and basic hairbrained schemes that could only help in battle against something too amused by watching the antics to unleash a counter attack.

Character History:

Rumours fly that Tristan was born in one of the dungeons of Gil-Ead, since his mother is rarely seen anywhere else, and that his father is actually a shade, rather than Jareth Du Vard. However, the fact is that Jareth is a guard and soldier, while Hyacinthe is a soft-spoken conjourer of simple tricks, and generally finds nothing to do with her time besides walk about the dungeons and keep the guards awake.
Tristan was told by his mother that he arrived quite unexpectedly in the middle of the night, rather difficultly at that, considering that healers are scarce in a place such as Gil-Ead. She never would say where, but he isn't quite willing to believe all the rumours, even with the knowledge that the whole year before he was born, Jareth had been away to fight in some battle or another.
His childhood was fairly straightforward, growing up with one older sibling and one younger sibling, an adoring- if slightly mental- mother, and a supposed father who was always either away or in the dungeons most of the time. He and his brother were almost friends, at first, until Tristan reached an age where the desire to become like an older sibling was replaced with a burning need to do better than said sibling, as Jareth was, when around, constantly praising Rolf on his accomplishments. They’d been born only two years apart, and Tristan had never quite been able to figure out the meaning behind the whisperings about him, while Rolf brought it up almost constantly, or whenever he wanted to make a point about why he should be selected for a task instead of Tristan. Their rivalry seemed to intensify almost daily, growing largely when Juliette, five years younger than Tristan, started to train alongside her mother as a spell caster, which kept her away from the two of them, when she’d normally been around to break up fights.
Tristan became a dragonrider at age seventeen, having stolen the egg off a passing merchant in their sleep, thinking that it would be a nice thing to chip into some sort of gift for his mother, who he found to be the sort of person to take time to listen to what he’d done, rather than what Rolf had done. He’d been about to set about the task of figuring out what shape he wanted to chisel the egg into when it had burst open, scattering bits of shell all over his already untidy floor. He would have hidden it, but the noise had attracted the attention of his mother. He’d never seen her quite so worked up in his entire life. He’d been expected to name the creature that had popped out of the egg, and had been given several lessons, none of which he’d paid much attention to, on what exactly this meant. A very excited Hyacinthe had told Jareth exactly what had happened, while a very perplexed Tristan sat on his bed with a very hungry little beast of a dragon and tried to figure out what to do with it. As expected, Jareth didn’t make too much of a fuss over it, instead moving into telling Hyacinthe that Rolf would be taking his place as a dungeon guard soon.
Tristan would have been angry, as he always was, that his father didn’t care about his newest achievement, but he himself didn’t really know what had happened until the following year, although he bragged about it to an unimpressed Rolf whenever he got the chance.
Tristans’ father was killed in battle shortly after the dragon began speaking, meaning that Tristan could hardly be bothered with the news in any way other than being a little more worried for the safety of Juliette and Hyacinthe. He’d learned to use the dragon to his advantage in battle, and had found it to be quite the companion, as well as an excellent and willing device when it came to alternate ways to achieve the rush he was always looking for. Of course, being a dragonrider meant that he was called on in different ways than an ordinary footsoldier, which meant more chances to engage in combat. He never really thought about who he was fighting, or who he was fighting for, it was all just another way to get excitement, in his eyes.

Weapons: A plain scimitar

Likes: A thrill, his family (Excluding Rolf), his Dragon, getting his way.

Dislikes: Being ignored.

Character's Physical Description:

He’s average height, slender, wiry build, with large hazel eyes and shaggy brown hair that reaches to the base of his neck. He’s well-muscled from training with his scimitar and his dragon, and he’s of slightly tan complexion from hours spent outside. He has a scar along his left cheek and his nose has been broken enough times that it’s ever so slightly crooked. There’s a bit of a cleft in his chin and he has a bit of stubble starting to show.
He wears a black tunic over a red shirt with longer sleeves, under which is light chainmail. He has loose, black breeches and dark boots, as well as leather gloves. He has a leather belt with a black sheath for the scimitar on it, decorated slightly with a wolf emblem that has red jewel eyes.

Dreams for the Future: He doesn’t consider the future worth thinking about, but he wouldn’t mind very much if his mother and sister could have somewhere better to live. Or if anyone would pay attention to him a bit more.

Reason for Dreams: Gil-Ead isn’t the best place for women to live; to him it would be more fitting if Juliette and Hyacinthe were somewhere more open. Also, he’s fairly tired of being ignored almost constantly.

Alignment/side: He works for Galbatorix, but would gladly go to the highest bidder if he didn’t have time to think about what that would mean for his family.

For dragon riders only:
Dragon Name: Scathlocke (Though sometimes Tristan calls him Ember, if they’re using Nicknames)
Age: two years
Gender:male
Parents: He has no idea, but would like to know.
History: His egg was stolen from the nest by a curious fox while his mother was looking for food and, after being rolled about, played with, and deemed inedible, was left at the side of a river. Eventually the egg rolled into the river itself because of the shifting of the soft dirt that it was in. It washed up several miles away, being picked up by a merchant despite the searching efforts of its mother.
Ordinarily the dragon mother wouldn’t have been so careless as to let any of her eggs be stolen, but she was a young and inexperienced dragon who’d barely reached adulthood herself. She’d made the mistake of building her nest on the ground, rather than on some higher area like any sensible dragon would have done, a mistake she’d regret for several years to come.
The egg was carried by the merchant for a long time, the merchant himself realized almost right away that what he had wasn’t an ordinary rock, and intended to find someone who’d be able to examine it properly. However, it was stolen from him while he was asleep.
After that came hatching, followed by more trouble than Scathlocke thought it was worth.
Personality: He has the wisdom that all dragons have, he just refuses to use it. It may be the influence that Tristan had over him from the moment of hatching, but he’s fond of the same adrenaline rush that Tristan covets so much, although he’s more likely to pause and think things through before spouting an arrogant comment at the first opponent who shows their face. He’s confident in his abilities, but doesn’t generally let that blind him to the fact that there are other, bigger dragons who could easily beat him in battle. If he starts to lose a fight, he’s one to turn tail and run before his loss can be counted, or trick his opponent using the advice that Tristan’s given him. He has moments of wisdom, but a childish nature prevents him from taking advantage of it more often than not.
Colour: Reddish brown.
Appearance: He has a wolflike muzzle, with pointed, furry ears and a darker red mane from between his ears to right before his shoulders. His underbelly is covered in black fur, and his tail has a black-tufted tip. He’s fairly small, still, since he’s young, with a wolfish build. His eyes are bright red, with round and inquisitive pupils, and two of his lower fangs are visible even when his mouth is closed, giving him a slightly comical appearance.
Armour: N/A
Dreams for future: To find out who is mother and father were.
Reasons for dreams: Because he really hates not knowing.

Reason for edit: Oh gosh...and I WONDERED why they were so hard to play...they were both taking trips to SUE-VILLE left and right....*Cringe* but yeah, same characters without the Sue-Ness now lol, hopefully they'll be easier to play now ^;^

It's alright, but you need to add a few more lines to Personality, History, and Ember's Personality and History. Also, why does Sky have so many different abilities/things? Could you explain more about the dragon part, and especially the oracle part?

Post Re: Sky
The only abbility that I gave him was he's good with a sword....

Is there an original fiction section? I think he would work better there... I have another charecter that I could do for Fan Fiction, if you'd prefer that. Sorry, but I'm not too good at editing charecters and stuff, and I had forgotten temporarily about a fan fic charecter that I had come up with. So can I move this one to original fiction or get rid of him so he can be replaced with another charecter?

Well I meant abilities as in his being a werewolf and an oracle and such. Unfortunately, there isn't an original rp area, but you can still make him fit in this world if you want. I would just like more explanation if you do. :)

Okay then, do you want me to go ahead and modify what I have up already or just explain through posting?

Also, can you be specific about the personality details you'd like? I wrote everything I could think of, so specific things you'd like are really the only way I'll know what else to say.

Thanks for telling me about the issue :D

Please modify what you already have. Especially in History, as this could expand it as well as add more explanation.

Well, for Personality, you could explain why he acts or feels the way he does, like why he never lies and why he doesn't like being an oracle. That's my suggestion, anyway. You only need a couple more lines (12). :)

Is this alright?

Am I allowed to make more than one charecter? And, if so, are they allowed to be dead? As in, a ghost? Cause I have a cool story about a ghost kid in Alagaisia...

It looks good to me now. I Accept. :)

You can have as many charries as you like, and I don't think there's any rule against ghosts.

It means two more moderators must look this over and say that they accept.

And I was going to after checking this. :)

Yes, that's always nice when people follow the rules. Maybe it's because we have some very good mods and admins. Me and the other rp mods make sure no one breaks the rules in the rps. 8)
