Blaser shouted ''Prepare for boarding''. He was commanding one of the Varden's ship to destroy the Empire's fleet heading to Surda. He noticed a several pirate ships. He then shouted ''It appears that Galbatorix has hired some pirates but no hired forces can defeat us''. A ship fired and sunk a pirate ship. A Empire ship boarded Blaser's ship and they killed all the crew. Blaser fought the men and maaged to kill most of them except someone began to sink the ship. Blaser was drowning in the water. Blaser was saved when Blade saw what was happening and swooped down and picked him up. Blade took him to a ship where pirates were boarding. He floated down and killed a few pirates. The pirates fired a cannon that knocked down the mainsail. Blaser had to run to avoid it. Blaser swung on a rope and landed on the pirates ship. He began to sink the ship by cutting down the sails but somone through a knife in his back. He pulled it out then turned around to see that the person who attacked him was the captain. Then the captain walked forward his face hidden.

Leath had hit the swordsman in the back, he now drew forward, his face still hidden. Suddenly right when he was about to deal the finishing stroke a great dragon seized his sword. Throwing it into the sea the dragon grabbed the swordsman then turned back at Leath. As if he was dissuading if to attack or take the wounded man to safety. It didn't take long for it to make its decision, it make a great scream then took off into the air.
