 A few plagerismshave u read the earthsea quartet? in it (and it was written before inheritance) everything has a name in the ancient language. if you no somethings or someones nameyou have control over them. Also, the dragons talk in the ancient tongue and live pretty much forever. I still think the Eragon stories are better because the writing style is more interesting.

personally, i don't think this is plagurized for the following reasons:
1. have you noticed that in many sences or books or movies where magic is involved, they use another languange? It is probly just a conquidence that they both named it the acienct languange. 2. In many series, dragon seem to live forever. It is sort of a fairy-tail thing like centars (HORSE-MEN) or faries. It isn't coping if u use them in a story. 3.In many series dragons talk. maby not in the acient languange, but they do talk, for example, the deltora quest series which was writen like, 5 years ago. The dragons in that do talk. As for everything having a true name, many people think of that. Earthsea was a great series. CP didn't copy it, lots of fantasy novels have the power of names.

Dragons don't talk in the ancient language in Eragon. They can, but Saphira normally talks in the human tongue of Alagaesia. |

thats true and as everyone else has said in almost every type of mythology a dragon lives for ever unless killed and magic is done from a strange language and if you notice it is usually a language that elves speak
