Oh, I hate it when people do say stuff like that, it makes me really nosey and want to know who it is lol .

Anyway, I felt really weird yesterday. I went late night shopping in the town, and I was sitting on this bench outside a shop in the shopping centre, and looking in the shop, when I noticed this guy. He was probably about 15 or so, and for some reason I really liked him. I mean, he wasn't even that good looking, (I could probably understand why I liked the look of him if he was really great looking or something), but it was just something about him. Then he saw me looking at him, and smiled at me, and it really shocked me, because I'm no beauty queen or anything, and now I keep thinking about him, and I don't even know him and it's really weird

Perhaps a crush on first look?

I joust like to hear these kind of stories (that are true), but myself....*sigh* perhaps I'm joust a lost case....

that sucks. my one friend had a guy she liked alot tell her that he wouldnt date her even if she was the last girl on earth. then he had the nerve to come back-even though he knew i was best friends with her- and asked me out! i slapped him. the nerve of some guys!

I go to an all girls school and have a no social life so the only guys i meet are the ones on my bus, sad i know but whatever.
anyway one guy i go and tell my brother to get off the bus, i'm standing there for like 30 seconds and this guy has to say go away ugly

I'm homeschooled AND a cop's daughter.
My parents are soooo paranoied about EVERYTHING they won't let me go anywhere unless it's with them.
The only guys I know are my best-friend & my brothers friends.

I have about 15 close friends- 13 of them are guys lol. I just prefer the company of guys, although I'd never go out with any of my close friends. I love going to a mixed school, girls can really hurt your feelings a lot more than guys in my opinion. I mean, girls are usually more subtle, if a guy thinks something about you, he'll normally say it. You can go and cry for 5 minutes, then go back and slap him. Girls can be more nasty, like talking behind your back, spreading rumors, snide comments etc. Which can leave you depressed and worried for a much longer time. I know I'm a girl lol, I'm not saying that about every girl, or every guy. Just in general. But anyway, I'd hate to go to an all girls school, or be home-schooled.

Ya, sometimes I think I would enjoy going to public school.
But my parents are the ones who decide and I have this fear that I would get made fun of and stuff.
Also, I think being homeschooled has something to do with the person I have become. Take that away and I would be different. I'm pretty pleased with who I am.

Fair enough, I can see your point of view But you get to miss all the fun stuff, like say... ambulances getting stuck in the mud on the field, or... school fights lol, or say a supply teacher trying to wrestle a "where's wally" book off a friend

hehe. that is fun! at my school, you got ur average druggies gettin high and haveta go in an ambulance. kid walk outs are always fun. OHHH! and TEACHER STRIKES! YES! my school is havin one some time next week!

u would, ud get to have a lot of cool friends, like my to best friends at school are nothing like me, we only like some of the same stuff like The Fray and All American Rejects, but we still have fun together

Public schools are in general much better than private schools in terms of social activities. Though Private schools have to take after their name and be private right?

my entire class is my friends. I only have 13 class mates

A private school is basically posh and expensive. It's not really controlled by the government- it is controlled by private businesses. You have to pay for tuition, rather than the government paying for you to go. They also get to choose their own students.

A public school is one administered and run by the government. They give the school funds, and anyone is allowed to go as long as there are enough places. Most people go to public schools here, they are generally bigger and not so "posh".

my issue is that this girl is replacing me coming in and making friends with my best friend and Louise keeps igoring me
she doesn't even hear me talking and it hrts my feelings when i have to like push myself in front of her so she has to face me
and I'm afraid to just stop because then i might end up on my own and the last time i was on my own i went weird

the ppl that i made friends with probly wont get taken [we are more in the "just a little less than normal" social group] but i have had a friend go an make friends with som1 else and it is hard

She's done it before but now she barely talks to me anymore
I just can't talk to her anymore without this other girl interrupting
they just turn their back on me not even looking at me and I don't know whether i should just say i can't take it anymore and leave them t it or keep kolding on

I had a "friend" say some really bad things about me.
Her mom & my mom were friends and we were friends for 2 years almost.
If she ever had a problem with me, she would never tell me. she would tell her mom, who would tell my mom, who would tell me
Anyway, she said I always made fun of her (not true), called me lazy and said all I ever did was watch TV (not true) and even accused me of sleeping with my best-friend! (SOOOO NOT TRUE!)
I now have a reeeeeally hard time trusting girl friends. Guys are easier (except when they want to be "more than friends")

My advise: leave Em, u can do waaay better! U are just setting ur self up to be hurt more or get way embarassed (they sound like the type to be mean and make a scene at school)

Sometimes a friendship can be salvaged, but its best to leave her behind if she does that to you.

i know the risks of posting here( i was warned by one of the girls), but i just wanted to say a little something and i hope you girls can forgive me for invadeing your thread.

first off, i'm a guy, and i need you to understand, we don't always get subtle hints about stuff, somtimes we're just flat out plain Jerks. but we aren't all like that. i know we're just as complicated as girls and we tend to not realise that, and that leads to many of the cases in which i've read about in this thread.

but i want you to know we have some messed up views about girls. to us your all emotion driven and fickle at heart. but as much as guys want to deny it, so are we. guys are driven the desire to touch and feel, girls(from what i've seen and i may be wrong) are driven by the desire to talk and be appresiated. although i understand that that's not always the case, a girl may want to touch, when a guy wants to talk, but this is just a general statment, not meaning to cover every one.

so girls, be patient with us, try to understand why we do what we do. when a guy acts like your annoyign to him, it probably because he's affraid of letting you know he likes you alot and then getting shot down. believe me guys feel that way too. so for a guy, the first thing that's in hsi head at that moment is survival of his heart, so the best way to most guys is to push the object of hsi affection, away.

now i don't know how a girl would handle this and don't assume to know. but i just wanted to say this, guys are affraid to show affection sometimes, mostly cause of their friends, family, low self esteem,a nd many other things, so thank you for bearing with me on this and forgive me for intruding int he thread.

i went to work on saturday at the horse stable. my boss's kid, shane, asked me out. i thought shaun was just usein me so i said yes. so now i got a bf. but yesterday, shaun asked me out too, n he said that he really likes me n that i shouldnt think what everyone else thinks. i didnt answer him cuz i dont wanna hurt him. he's soooooo nice.

i dunno. shaun is really nice, i mean REALLY nice. we just started a new semester and i got a new lunch. shaun is in my lunch n he ran up to me, gave me a big hug n said "i thought id never see you agian!" it was so sweet. but shane... WoW! he's really sweet n he knows me. like,wat i like n dont like. he knows me on the inside out. im still goin out wit shane cuz shaun still has his gf.

my friend moved this year and 6 years ago i had to mover away from my bestest friend katy

one friend moved two hours away and the other moved 4 hours away but i still stay in touch with them both.

well I'm moving to singapore which is a like a 14 hour flight for any friends that wanted to see me
I don't know if we'll stay in touch or not it might sound wrong but i think it will probably depend on how I get on there. We don;t really communicate here we just ort of see eah other at school so... Oh well.

OK, sorry for posting here, yes I know it says girls only but I have to say I agree with Break. But it's not always low self-esteem or anything like that. I do have to agree though, that if a guy liked a girl, he most likely would not tell her unless he was absolutely sure she liked him. Most guys are more emotional than you might expect; if she didn't like him, he would most likely take it very badly. Quite a few of my friends got extremely depressed afterwards. One didn't talk to anyone for two weeks. Along with emotional injury, social status can be a problem. Say Bob like Sarah. Bob tells Sarah he likes her, then Sarah doesn't like Bob. Sarah then tells her friends what happened, and so on, until everyone knows. The higher Sarah's social status is, the more likely people are to think Bob is weird.

Also, he's right on another part- if a guy likes you, he will most likely act like he hates you. Or, if he thought you might think of that, he might act like your best friend. I forget who it was, but earlier in this thread someone said that a guy acted annoying one day and then like nothing was wrong the next. If you think about it this way, it actually makes a lot of sense if he likes you. On the first day, he acts annoying to keep you from knowing he likes you. Then, on the second day, he decides that you might figure out that he's trying to make you think that, so he goes back to normal. On the other hand, he might just have mood swings.

you are right eragon, but only partly.... my um.... x-boyfriend was too emotional and was suffocating me ...so being to emotional isnt good, and being to cold isnt good eighter ... som guys treat women like dolls that just have looks but not fealings and that irritates a lot...girls are like bozs affraid of being rejacted so they keep their fealings to themselfs and sometimes a close group of friends..... and i think you are way wrong in one part ....when a guy tells a girl he likes her and she doesnt like him first she feels really bed and doesnt know kow to reject him(this is just for the nice guys) and then when she does, it is very possible she WILL tell some of her friends but as a secret not something to laugh about....and if she tells a friend that is not reliable the word gets out...or there is a possibility you chose a very self centered and spoiled girl that thinks she is the most beutiful thing ever to walk the earth so you will get hurt and be laught at .... but we never mean to hurt you guys, just so you now...

that is just my opinion that has happaned to my friends and me, so there....

See, that's the problem. Even if a girl is nice and isn't laughing or anything, and even if none of her friends or any of the girls for that matter think it is stupid or w/e, if word gets out and other boys know, that's when the trouble begins. This is mostly because a lot of boys are just egocentric. They only care about themselves and what other people think of them. They don't give a **** about other people's feelings. (Not all boys, but there is bound to be some in every school)

These boys(and some girls too, most likely) laugh at the guy, and then he loses a lot of self-esteem. (Thank God I really don't care what those types of people think) He then loses some other friends as a result of low self-esteem and wanting to be by himself, and then... BOOM. Outcast.

Never happened to me. OK, once, but that was last year. Not like I cared anyway. I was pointing out how boys think. We are worried that that is what would happen, so we keep our feelings to ourselves.

And for the most part boys aren't too emotional.... If YOU liked someone and told them, even if you were nice and they were nice and didn't want to hurt your feelings, no matter how they told you, you would be sad, right? It's the same with boys. Some just take it harder than others.
