I liked her. But, like I have said before, the only thing I didn't like were the wings. They made her look bulky and heavy. Otherwise, I thought she was the most beautiful CG creature ever made, if you can even call her a creature.

i just remembered something that always would make me laugh about saphira. you know when eragon her and ayra meet up with the other elves that are leading them to elsmera, and when the wouldnt allow saphira to carry the stuff across the river becuase apperently it would dishonor them or something.... itm would always make me laugh when i read how saphira was outraged and she was breathing fire and what not lol

possibly. i think she was being both at the same time. on the surface, she was trying to protect Eragon from making a bad choice. but if you recall, she was jealous when they first met Arya after she regained consciousness. that is where I drew the conclusion that she is also possesive of Eragon, wants to keep him for herself.

Saphira was an excellent character made by CP. I don't love her as much as I-L-S but i still love her. All the positives that ILS has said and more! The bird-like appearance made me dislike Hollywood even more, but she still looked great. It was how I imagined her to be.

o lol i knew that ... yea but She would still be modified upon a bit cuase of the amount of work it takes to put a piece of animation like Saphira together, and i think every1 has there own little wiew of every charactor in the story, yet every1 idea for the charactors still have the same basic outline. So what im saying is that match Movie saphira to the book cover and they will look similar, yet you got to take into cosideration that only her head and neck is shown on the cover. And as for you saying she looks fearsome, if your gunna have a charactor animated they got to have different emotions and looks. Take when in the movie when brom is being burried. When Saphira stands on her hind legs she looks very graceful then, yet like when Eragon first meets Murtagh in the woods with ayra, saphira has some what of an angry scowl towards him.

i have to agree with I-L-S here, she did look a little lacking. But she was still good looking. I was kind of expecting Saphira to look a little more, well... I can't believe i'm quoting out of the movie. A little more... well, more.

ehh just another thing to add on to the list of things need to be added/ improved upon for eldest lol. some of a very long list of course. Well if they make a movie outta eldest, i thing saphira might change a little becuase of time, but i dont think they will change her much, which is perfectly fine with me.... i thought she looked great. Its like my dream to be able to build animation like her someday

it doesn't have to be a character that is on the side of Eragon and Saphira it could be one of the people on Galbatorix's side. Such as Murtagh, Shruikan or Thorn. Maybe a character we haven't met yet??

But anyway, I really liked the movie version of Saphira, and I liked the feathers, too. I thought that it made it more original. Not many people picture dragons as having feathery wings.

i didn't like the feathers myself. It just wasn't how i'd imagined it, or how many other people imagined it i would think. The rest of her looked good though.

Agreed. Saphira is supposed to look ferocious, and be ferocious in battle, but her inside is all good. The feathery wings also made her look real bulky and heavy, almost like chicken wings.

i didnt really have a problem ith the feathery wings... I thought it was a very original idea to do that ... very different yet interesting, to me at least...

i thought the movie made her look sooo cute!!!!!!! It made me wish i could have one! i idid not really think that her voice would sound like that but what can i do??!! the movie doesnt do a good job overall (they skipped and changed too much)

That was one of the few things I truly liked about the movie: the voice of Saphira had that wisdom and intelligence and strength that I know embody Saphira I think they did a great job casting and playing and creating Saphira

Absolutely. I love that idea, Elve. I hope the director does it, since there will be an Eldest movie (Inheritance is entirely planned out).

The press release for the Eragon movie last year said that Inheritance is a planned movie series, like LOTR or Harry Potter. It said that CP sold them rights to the entire series, so they have to make all four books.
