Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja remained silent while Serenity healed his wound. He thoughts were drifting towards Felecia. He wasnt sure what what going on between them. She has hardly spoken to him now and seemed distant. After she finished, Kuja got up, "I'm going for a walk...to think." He began heading in a random direction.
After a while he came across a pond, and in the sky was a full moon. He sat down near the shore and then laid down on his side.OOC: I thought this was a really cool picture. Fits the setting.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: Yeah, it does fit.
IC: Serenity watched Kuja go with a puzzled look on her face, then shook her head. That guy was the most complicated person she'd ever met, and that was saying a lot. She hoped he was okay, she considered him a very close friend, and a wonderful mentor. Serenity turned to the other person that had made blue flames with his sword. With what she heard from Felecia, he must be Reik, the cursed one that was forced to try and kill Mesaraih. She wondered if she could banish that curse with her healing abilities, or with one of the other skills she had inherited as a Shade. Serenity cautiously approached him, fully aware that he could be dangerous,"Your Reik, right?" she asked softly,"If you are, I think I might be able to give you a gift, something that would be very precious to you. I think you know of what I speak. Follow me, if you would like to be free." she quickly turned and, without waiting to see if he would follow of not, walked into the dark forest.
Felecia ruffled her wings as Mesaraih came into view. With a small exclamation, she ran at him and wrapped her velvety, leather, light brown wings around him. Her arms wrapped around his waist, her lips found his. She let the kiss last for a moment, then pulled away and rested her head on his chest,"I'm sorry." she whispered.
OOC: Semi-short post, but not bad.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Reik absentmindedly followed the girl. He didn't know much of what else he was supposed to do.
Mesaraih knew what he felt when Felecia kissed him, but after a few moments he pulled away and turned his back to her. He clenched his teeth, then said, "It's all right. You have to go back to Kuja now. I think you owe him."

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Felecia bowed her head as Mesaraih stepped away and turned his back to her. His words shocked her to the core. She stepped up and laid a hand on his shoulder,"I don't think I owe him anything. If your talking about my son, he doesn't even know who his real father is. Kuja doesn't want me anymore, I could sense that the moment I saw him again. Something inside of him has changed, and he no longer loves me. You remember when you woke up? You and I were talking and he didn't act, not even in the smallest bit, jealous." she lifted his hand so that the ring on his index glinted in the moonlight,"I gave this ring to Kuja 15 years ago, when he loved me. He wore it for awhile, but then his emotions started messing with his head and he took it off. I found the ring and kept it so that I could give it to my true love. One that I know still loves me, even though I betrayed and crushed his heart. Do you know what it says on the band? 'My Love Forever'." she said. She turned his head so that she could look into his eyes,"I'm asking for you to forgive me. If you can't forgive me, then at least keep the ring in rememberance of what we once had, and I'll leave you alone." she said, almost in tears.
Serenity smiled when Reik followed her. She glanced at the clump of trees that Felecia and Mesaraih were in, and avoided it. She knew they would want privacy. She went to a different clump, and stopped. She turned to look at Reik,"If you could have any two wishes in the world, what would they be? And don't let the curse guide your words. Look deep into yourself, and say what it is that you truly wish for. I think I already know what the first one will be. You want to be free from the curse, right?" she asked, a pleasant smile adorned her lips.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: Lol, didnt see that one coming.
Kuja just silently laid there, looking into the pond's reflection. He was thinking about alot of things, mostly about himself. He sometimes wondered why he acted the way he did. Always emotionless, almost coldhearted. No...he didnt want to second guess himself, he was always this way. It was just the way he was and he didnt like to change. Kuja could sense that he and Felecia werent doing so well since he returned. He didnt really know what to do. He had feelings for her but didnt really show them. He didnt show much emotion at all, most of the time he didnt understand some of them.
Sighing to himself, Kuja got up. I might as well go check the others. Kuja was surrounded in dark mist and teleported back. He appeared near some trees and looked around. He walked around one of them and stopped. He saw Felecia and Mesaraih talking. He listened to their conversation unmoving. "Hmph." Kuja teleported back to the pond and laid back down on his side.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Mesaraih smiled, but it was an unsure smile. "I forgive you," he said simply, then hugged her. He was troubled, though. He was not sure whether everything really was over with Kuja and them.
Reik shrugged absently, unfocused.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: Neither did I to be honest.lol
IC: Felecia relaxed as Mesaraih's strong arms folded in around her. She had accomplished what she had meant to do, now she hoped that no misfortune would arise because of her disision.
Serenity had the water encase her hands again. She set her hands right over Reik's heart. Moving her fingers in tiny circles, she began chanting in a strange language. To any Shade nearby, they would recognize it as the Shade Language, the language that a Shade should know from birth. Her fingers began to glow bright blue, they had found something lodged in Reik's soul. She began to pull it out, inch by painful inch, so as to not kill Reik on the spot from removing it to fast.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Reik groaned as he felt something being extracted from his sould. He felt like it was something black and evil, and he wondered dully what it was doing there. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists as the pain started to grow. Soon he started to pant harshly, like a dying animal, because the pain was so great. "Stop...," he muttered weakly.
Mesaraih felt rather scared for a moment. Twice he had had love, and twice he had lost it. He had never been successful in it. Would he lose Felecia again? He sighed and looked up at the sky.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja had thought for a long time, finally he abruptly got up. I guess if I am not going to be with her, I no longer have a purpose. I might as well end things then. He sighed slightly and then teleported to an area short distance away. He didnt take him long to find what he was looking for. Daidrea was leaning against a tree seemed to be lost in thought. He walked over to him. Daidrea looked up in slight suprise.
"I know that look, what are planning Kuja?"
"I want to finish things....for good."
Daidrea hesitated, "You seem sure of yourself, have you thought about everyone else that has come to be friends with you? Or Felecia?"
"They will move on, as for her...well things between us have changed."
"Did you do it or did she?"
"Probably both, on my part it was unintentional but it still happened, she just wanted to move on I suppose."
"Well then, knowing that connections with friends is no longer a matter, I can do what I intended to do for all these years."
"I know, come, let us go to a place where we wont be disturbed." Kuja went in front of Daidrea and grabbed his shoulder. They both vanished in a portal and appeared inside a large mountain. A volcano at that, inside was very rugged stone paths surrounded by intense hot magma.
"How fitting Kuja, a final fight in a place that represents my heated hatred for you and hoped to see you burn."
"I knew it would suit you, consider it a last favor to you. Let's make this simple, blades only."
"I wouldnt have it any other way."
Both sword drawn, the two of them charged eachother.

OOC: Alright, couple of things. I might come off rude saying this but could you give warning before joining in? Especially if it's been going on this long? Not to mention I dont want to wait for some one who barely ever on. Second and this one really irritates me... Please dont bring God/Satan/Religion into this. Its a fantasy world.
I'm not trying to be mean, but seriously...

OOC:Well sorry, all Im saying that those beliefs dont exist in the world of Alagaesia. There is mention of "gods" but not the one star is mentioning. Look you can hate me for being agnostic, I dont care.
Im sorry if Im being a prick, im in a bad mood right now.
I'm sorry Star, but can you please delete your post? Even if this is a non cycle post it will still eventually lead to a point where we would have to wait for you. I have nothing against you personally.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: D, give Star a chance at least. Her computer might be having problems and she can only get on when she can, we don't know. But at least give her a chance to stay active. Please? In the beginning, I was on practically 24/7. But there was that period of time that I wasn't on for two or three whole months. And besides, I've been looking forward to RPing with Star before I even had RPG characters. And come on, you don't reply to everything immeadetly either. None of us do, unless we can help it. I've been in bad moods to D, but I still replied to things. And believe me, you don't want to see me in this mood.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
I apologize guys, I had a long day yesterday, I was irritable. I let things get to me. It normally takes alot to get me to that point but it happened. Star, feel free to join. I cant dictate what your characters believe...I'm sorry I acted that way. In all honesty for future reference, could you at least give warning? That would be helpful ya know? It's just we had this going for a long time. But its fine if you join, lets hope this doesnt happen again.
Uhhh, whos going after Star?

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Serenity continued pulling, dispite Reik's urging for her to stop. With a final yank, the shadow that had been attached to his soul came free. She held it in her hands, watching it flicker about, trying to get free from her iron like grip. She crushed it in her hands, leaving a shadow like dust in her hands. She let it blow away in the breeze, then turned back to Reik, who was breathing hard, but alive,"Your free now, go talk to your brother, and be the (younger, older?) brother that you were meant to be." she said gently, then turned back to the clearing. Serenity blinked in surprise as Kuja teleported away to Daidrea, and challenged him to a final fight. Then they both moved off to a more private area. With a savage snarl, she followed, using her teleporting abilities. She drew Frostmourne after she appeared in the boiling volcano. She pointed a shaking finger in between Daidrea and Kuja,"Skölir!" she exclaimed. A powerful shield expanded in between the two, causing them to stumble in their charge. Breathing hard, sweat trickling down her brow, she spoke,"You know, sometimes I think the younger generation of people are wiser, because the older ones almost always seem so petty. Are you two so daft that you'll continue this feud to the end of time?! I know the hardships you've gone through, Ella and Felecia have told me countless stories! I know that you lost your dragon, Elyrana, and your brother, Xaldin. I know that you blame Kuja for the loss of your brother and I know that you seek revenge on him, but isn't the loss of his own dragon, Selris, revenge enough?! You may not think so, but every Dragon Rider feels the same thing when they lose something as precious as their dragon! Even Galbatorix felt it! You should remember very well how you felt, and now Kuja has felt the same thing; loss. I know that Kuja loved Selris, maybe not in the same way you loved Elyrana, or how I love Iberina, but he still loved his dragon. Kuja is still a human being! Who has emotions! He doesn't always show them, but I know he has them. So for heaven's sake would you stop trying to kill each other! I consider both of you to be my friends, perhaps my closest friends, but I can't have friends that fight all the time. And so help me, if you don't stop it right now, I'll summon a small army of undead to force you to stop!" she shouted, her rage fueling her actions. She poised Frostmourne over the hot ground under her feet, indicating that she would go through with her threat if she needed.
OOC: Dang, really long.lol

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja fell backward as a shield came inbetween him and Daidrea. He slowly got back up to his feet while he listened to Serenity rant and threaten. She speaks as if she was being the wiser, but it is not so. "Petty.." Kuja almost laughed. "Serenity, you may try to say such a thing, but people your age still have much to learn. Young generations are arrogant, ambitious, and naive." Kuja paused slightly, "It will not be the same, Daidrea didnt kill Selris. I may have suffered, but only for a short time. Daidrea still feels the loss of his dragon and his brother. I on the other hand...I dont know what I feel anymore. I have become nothing but an empty vessel. I have no purpose in this life anymore. I know you cannot understand, but what you are doing is futile. You would be only hurting yourself trying to stop this, so just leave. We will not stop and will not let anyone get in the way."

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Serenity didn't back down,"No purpose in life, eh? And what of your promise to me, and my mother? My mother can't teach me everything about Frostmourne, and neither can she teach me everything about being a Rider. That's something I need everyone to teach me, little bits of advice from the friends I love. Would you turn your back on your friends, and your promise?" she said, her voice dropping to barely above a whisper. She turned to Daidrea,"And what if Kuja were to defeat you, instead of you defeating him? What then, do you think, would Ella do?" she said softly. Her hazel eyes drilled into both of them, and she bristled at Kuja's comment,"I'll not leave and let two of my best friends destroy each other. From the past, you should know how stubborn I am, both of you. Dealing with a stubborn 15 year old Shade is also futile." she growled.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Reik looked down at his hands. He felt incredibly cleansed, but he was not sure why. He still could not remember anything. And apparently the man standing farther away was his brother. He could not understand why his life seemed to be so tangled up. He sighed and leaned back against a tree.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja remained silent for several minutes, then he spoke. "I'm sorry Serenity, but this has to be done. It must be settled." Kuja teleported in front of Serenity and punched her in the stomach, causing her to pass out. He lifted her up and brought her back to the Du Weldenvarden and set her down in front of the pond he was at before. He teleported back and then set up wards so that no one could teleport in...or out. He also made usre the wards concealed their location.
Daidrea was slightly hesitant but said, "I will ask again, you are sure you want to do this?"
"You're not going soft on me now, are you Daidrea?"
"Fine. So be it."
They charged once more and without interuption. Their blades clashed into eachother and they were at a standoff, holding blades crossed. Then Kuja stepped back and both of them began attacking with quick slashes. Sparks ignited every time the swords hit. The battle raged on for hours, every so often either of them recieved a gash some where on the body. Both of their clothes have become torn and blood-stained. Daidrea slashed at Kuja, he blocked it but it caused his sword to be knocked away. Kuja jumped at Daidrea and knocked his weapon away as well. It now turned into a brawl of fists. At this point they didnt bother to block, they just kept hitting eachother back and forth. In the background, magma occasionally flew upward. Neither of them concerned about the surroundings. After another hour or two of just hitting, both of them fell backward due to blood loss and exhaustion.
Kuja managed to say, "Well... that was fun.. but it seems it is even and we are both going to die of blood loss." "At least.. it's over... and we died fighting.. Kuja.." "I take it...we only have another.. 20-30 minutes.. so I guess I'll just say this... I'm.. sorry.. about Xal-.." Kuja became too tired to talk anymore. Daidrea remained silent afterwards, and darkness was reaching both of them.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Serenity uttered a sharp bark of pain as Kuja suddenly appeared in front of her and punched her in the stomach, but just before she passed out, she linked herself with Daidrea's mind. She lay limply in his arms as he carried her back to the pond he'd been at and laid her down. A few hours later, she woke. She lay still, wincing in shared pain as Kuja laid heavy blows of Daidrea. Soon, the blows stopped, and she felt the two fall back, exhausted by blood loss and fatigue. She squeezed her eyes as tightly shut as she could, and cried. She cried quietly, so she didn't draw attention. Her mother had taught her that any Shade, no matter how far away, could sense the feelings and thoughts of another Shade. The hot tears that rolled down her face, weren't fake, they were real. She could feel what Kuja felt, and it seemed like he felt remorse, and regret for killing Xaldin. Maybe......but she couldn't be sure. She curled up on her side and cried harder, her whole body shaking from the strength of her sobs. No matter how hard she squeezed her eyes shut, they couldn't hold back the numerous tears that now came in waves. She cried for Daidrea. She cried for Kuja. She cried for Elyrana. She cried for Xaldin. She cried for Selris. Though she hadn't known Selris, Elyrana, or Xaldin, she thought she knew them through Kuja and Daidrea. Finally, Iberina noticed that her Rider was very unhappy about something. The young dragoness rushed to her side and nuzzled her back. Serenity felt her beloved dragon trying to comfort her, but the sadness she felt wasn't curable by comforting. She curled into a tighter ball as Iberina curled her body around her to protect her. She felt the air become less cool as Iberina set a protective wing over her. Little one, I've not seen you so upset before, what is troubling you? said a warm voice in her mind, and she knew who it belonged to. Oh..my..dear..Iberina, she managed to squeeze out between sobs, I..don't..know..what..I..should..do..now. I..tried..stopping..the..fight, but..they..wouldn't..listen, and..now..their..laying..there, hurt. And..I can't..do..anything..to..help..them, she sobbed. Iberina cocked her head. She wasn't sure of whom her Rider was talking about, so she entered Serenity's mind and looked around. The roaring sadness that hit her was shocking, but she continued to look. When she did find what she was looking for, she to became very sad. She exited Serenity's mind, her eyes were filled with dragon tears. She nuzzled Serenity with deep affection. Oh little one, I understand now..... she whispered. They cried together for the sake of their friends, hot dragon tears that seared the ground where it fell, and smaller, tears that glittered on the ground like diamonds.
Felecia opened her eyes and a slight gasp escaped her throat. She was looking at Reik, but he was completely different. The curse must of been lifted somehow. A bright grin spread on her lips, and she looked at Mesaraih,"Look behind you, and you'll get a pleasant surprise." she said to him, grinning like an idiot the whole time.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Mesaraih turned around and found Reik standing there, looking confused but not in the slightest evil, like he had been before. It was very hard to believe, and for a few moments he thought that Reik might be fooling him. After a while, however, he managed to convince himself. He walked towards him.
As Reik saw the man walking towards him, a rush of memories came back to him of his whole life, from beginning to end. And when he realized what was going on, he could not believe it. "Brother..." he whispered. Mesaraih smiled and they hugged for the first time in years, and even back then, they had not known they were brothers.
A dark force looked at the reunion between the two brothers laughing softly. It was known as Rokan, and he was incredibly pleased with how things were turning out. This way, he would be able to relish in even more pain for both of them. Perhaps it was time to start... yes. He drifted invisibly towards them, then tapped Reik on the shoulder. They instantly disappeared a small ways off. He stabbed Reik by the shoulder with a long, dark blade, whose scream was heard all the way to where he had left Mesaraih.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
"REIK!" screamed Felecia in outrage. She spread her wings and darted to Mesaraih, hooking her arms together just under his ribcage to get a vice like grip,"Stay as still as possible." she whispered in his ear, then lunged into the sky, flapping her enormous wings to gain altitude. The extra weight held her down for a moment, then she zoomed forward towards Reik. Felecia spotted Reik, his mouth open in a scream of agony. She wheeled in the air and set Mesaraih on the ground close to his brother. She drew Sûndavar and wheeled again,"Pick on someone besides my friends!" she shouted at whatever was hurting Reik,"Malthinae du Sûndavar!" she exclaimed, pointing at something that shimmered in the air beside Reik. It looked like something from the Shadow Realm, and she hoped her spell would bind it.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Mesaraih saw the small shimmer in the air and blasted fire at it as well, but everything just seemed to go through it.
Rokan smiled to himself as he saw the two attacking the small piece of light he had put in front of them. He quickly moved his hands upwards, opening a tunnel in the middle of the ground. He grabbed Reik by the neck and slipped through it. He flew towards the last chamber, locking every single one as he passed by them. Then he sat down on a stone chair and put Reik in a cell on the side of the room. He flicked his fingers so that Reik would feel pain this whole time but silenced him so he wouldn't be screaming.
Reik started to feel his whole body start to burn. He cringed, feeling as if flames were consuming his body, but there was nothing happening to him. As the pain increased, he could not stop from screaming, but no sound came out. Then, slowly, the heat started to turn into an icy cold grip that was just as painful.
Mesaraih growled and ran down the tunnel, motioning for Felecia to follow. As soon as they both stepped inside it. The tunnel behind them disappeared. He tried opening the door in front of him, and when he couldn't, he tried to blast it away, but it would not budge. It seemed to be an ancient stone door, with golden rods crossing it and holding it even more securely. Suddenly a raspy, drawling voice spoke. "You want to see your brother again? Let's see if you can survive my challenges. There are six of them. In this one, I will send out twenty of my fire soldiers. One hit by them will be lethal, I assure you. Perhaps you're more skilled than them, however, and you might just be able to survive. All you have to do is avoid being hit and kill them all..." the voice faded away. The room suddenly grew extremely hot. Sweat began to break out immediately on his skin. Then, out of the ground, twenty blasts of fire came up, and when it cleared, a skeletal figure with two flaming swords and a body encased with fire stepped out of each. One of the charged at him. Mesaraih parried the blow and struck its hip as hard as he could, but its bones were sturdy. Another one came from behind and he had to rolll to the side. He then jumped up and knocked one to the side, then pounded at the other relentlessly, until finally its bones shattered. Unfortunately, there were still nineteen left, and you had to be moving all the time unless you wanted one of them to stab you. He tried to use magic, but found that he couldn't. "Damn it!" he yelled.

OOC: Just popping in.
IC: Felecia hastily followed Mesaraih, folding her wings close to her body so they didn't brush the wall of the tunnel. She jumped back as a fire soldier slashed at her, narrowly missing the tip of her right wing.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Silence filled the air of the chamber where Kuja and Daidrea remained. Fire shot up from the magma. Suddenly the walls began to shake violently. Two giant claws broke above the lava and hot earth. Three giant horns began to rise.
Bahamut heaved himself out and landed next to the two bodies. He sniffed both of them, he couldnt tell if they were still alive or not. In either case he grabbed both of them and broke out of the volcano and took to the skies. Several hours later he arrived once more at Du Weldenvarden. He landed in the battle scarred area where they fought the Dranil. He placed them both on the ground and kneeled down watching them motionless.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: Mom let me on for a while. Restriction isn't gone though. *ugh*lol
IC: Felecia closed her eyes. Zana, we need you, she murmured in her mind. She felt a dim acknowledgement in return. She opened her eyes to see another fire soldier directly in front of her getting ready to gut her with it's sword. She rolled out of the way, then sprang back up and bashed the soldier on the head. It staggered, but didn't die. With a savage snarl, she opened her wings enough to fly, then sprang into the air,"Mesaraih! Go find your brother! I'll hold them off!" she shouted so he could hear her,"Zana is on her way now, she'll help me. Go, before it's to late!" she glided past him, then whipped around and tried to hack off one of the soldiers' heads. The black blade made it half way through, then stopped. She yanked it free, then spun away in the air.
And indeed, Zana was on her way. She burst through the closed tunnel opening, wielding a deadly sharp maroon blade in her grasp. She closed her eyes and prepared her soul to use dark magic,"Protect myself & my friends from the touch of these beings!" she said, her voice resonating eerily through the tunnel. A glowing golden/soft yellow shield formed around Mesaraih, Felecia, and herself, a quarter inch thick. It covered them from top to bottom, protecting them from the deadly touch of the fire soldiers.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Mesaraih stopped. "I wish I could, but until all the soldiers are gone, we can't pass through the door," he said. He slashed at one of the soldiers then flipped backwards to avoid being hit. He kicked one coming behind him and broke the neck of one that tried to jump on him. Building up momentum, he started to go on a rampage of swordfighting. With the help of Felecia and Zana, they were finally able to finish them all off. The door in front of them swung open, and within he saw another chamber just like the one they had exited. As soon as they all stepped in, the temperature dropped to near freezing. Ice started to cover the walls. Then, the room started to expand, until he could barely see the other side. "Let's move," he said. But as soon as he took another step, a giant block of ice rose in front of him. Before his eyes it started to transform into a maze. There was no way around it, and it reached the top of the ceiling, so there was no way over it. They would have to go through. The walls were lined with huge, sharp icicles. They had not walked ten steps before one of the icicles shot out of the wall right at them. They were only just able to dodge it, and it stuck on the other wall. "Be careful," he whispered.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Unsure what to do, Bahamut looked around. A black mass caught his eye and so he went over to it. It was a giant dome of sorts and it reeked of dark magic. He stuck an arm in and he met resistance. He would not be denied. Using his great strength... Bahamut moved inside as he was absorbed into the darkness. Hmph.. that was far weaker than the seal I was contained in. No doubt whatever created this must have noticed something large as me interfering. Stretching out his mind he found Mesaraih and Felecia.... along with another that he was not familiar with. They were fighting... He made his way towards them. Oddly inside was some large castle of sorts. The halls were big enough to fit him which even he was impressed. Once he was close enough he linked his mind with both of them which he pooled his strength with them. At first they recoiled, thinking it was a great enemy trying to invade them. Do not block me out you fools! They realized who he was and relaxed. He rejuvinated them with his power... his strength was barely diminished. He arrived with them and roared at their foes. The very walls shook from the intensity. He allowed them to stay within his mind so they could use his energy. Do not lose yourself within me... my mind is far more vast that any creature living.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Felecia relaxed as Bahamut revealed himself. She gasped at the energy that he pooled into her. It was so vast! She smiled, then leaped into the air once more. Her wings brushed the top of the room as she soared, making her flinch in pain. The ceiling was freezing! It burned at the touch it was so cold. She lunged downward to attack a ice soldier, but pulled up when she suddenly felt her wings growing numb, and she turned her head. Her eyes widened. Her wings were slowly being covered with freezing cold ice. She tried to shake it off, but to no avail. Whatever you do, don't touch the walls or ceiling! she shouted to the others, the ice spreading to her arms, her shoulders, her mid-section, now her hips. It covered her thighs, her calves, now her entire body. It creeped up her throat, constricting her breathing. She gasped and locked eyes with the brave man that she loved,"Mesar-" she began, but her cry was cut short as the ice covered her face. The last thing that was visible, were her frightened sapphire eyes, then they to were frozen. The frozen statue of Felecia crashed to the floor, and lay motionless, her mouth open in a silent cry.
OOC: Low on ideas, but this one post...yikes.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Mesaraih felt slightly nervous, having to dodge every icicle and ice soldier that came upon him. There was a time when he dodged about ten nearly simulataneous giant icicles that erupted from the walls. After doing so, however, he felt slightly proud of himself. He was not so much after he saw what happened to Felecia, though. He could not use magic, but he had never depended on that to summon fire from his sword. He touched the ice statue of her with his sword and slowly the ice melted away. He was so relieved that he did not notice the ice soldier that had creeped up behind him and was about to stab him in the heart.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
When the ice receded from her throat and face, Felecia gulped in huge amounts of freezing air that stung her lungs. But it was a good sting. Her whole entire body shivered, even her wings, which usually weren't affected by the cold. She rose unsteadily to her feet just in time to see the soldier sneaking up on Mesaraih, blade poised in the air to kill. Her eyes hardened. She almost died. If Mesaraih hadn't of melted the ice shell she was in, she would of been dead in seconds. She wasn't about to let him die because of her. If she had to, she would die to protect him. With mild surprise, she realized that she made her choice, right then. She would die to protect Mesaraih. She wouldn't die to protect Kuja. Mesaraih was who she truly loved. She looked him in the eye," 'My Love Forever' " she quoted from the ring on his middle finger, and leaped over him to take the blade into her own breast, her wings spread into a wide shield. She gasped in shock as the blade pierced her heart. She staggered backward into Mesaraih's arms. She locked eyes with him,"Find your brother," she gurgled, blood streaming from her wound,"Take this..." she weakly pushed Ebony's Eldunari into his hand,"Find your brother, and take care of my sister." she gasped, coughing up blood. Her body shuddered, but she held onto life for a few more precious seconds,"Tell..Ella, that I love her." her breathing came in gasps now,"And know....that...I'll...always..love.........you." she managed to gurgle, then grew very still, her sapphire eyes losing their brilliance. Her wings went limp, hanging from her body like two dead weights. One last shivering breath slipped past her lips, then her head lolled back, her sapphire eyes staring unseeing. Her lips held the ghost of a smile, because she had died with the man she loved in her sights, and she would carry that image of him with her to the void.
Zana just stared,"No..." she whispered. Felecia couldn't be dead. Not her loving host that had put up with her for decades. But it was true. Felecia Kenasdaughter was dead. She closed her eyes. It just couldn't be true...........Her eyes snapped open. They were black. Zana Liliansdaughter was angry. More angry than when her father, Boceth, had threatened Felecia 15 years ago. More angry than when Kuja hurt Ebony so many years ago. She was beyond anger. She was outraged.
OOC: Whoa....Did I actually write all of that? Sheesh.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Mesaraih looked down at Felecia's body in his hands. It could not be true. She could not be dead. His arms shook, but he did not let her go. Tears rolled down his eyes. "No..." His mind seemed to be refusing to believe what he was saying. He closed his eyes, and when he opened them, they were no longer sad. They were burning red with rage. It seemed as if a volcano was erupting inside them. He put Felecia on the ground, then readied his sword. An icicle came off the wall, but it seemed to pass by slowly. An ice soldier came by and was incinerated by the touch of his sword. He jumped from wall to wall until he nearly reached the ceiling. With one last jump, he flipped into the air and lunged both his arms upwards, sword in hand. It stuck to it, and Mesaraih hung from it, pumping all of his energy into his sword. The spot where Mesaraih had stabbed the sword in the ceiling started to turn red. Cracks of red fire started to spread throughout the whole ceiling, then down to the walls and the floors. The cracks started to spit out fire, and then, very suddenly, all the ice cracked. Mesaraih fell from the roof as the whole sheet of ice that covered it melted off and fell crashing to the floor, and he looked at the walls of the maze, which were rumbling and spitting out fire. Then, they all gave one last wobble and toppled against each other, falling on top of Mesaraih. All of the layer of ice was breaking off into smaller pieces, in some parts starting to melt. The fire was still spitting out of the more intact parts. Then another blast of fire came from the center of the rubbled, making the ice that was there immediately evaporate. Mesaraih was standing there, and Felecia was at his feet. The door that led to the next room swung open. Before he could do anything else, a strange force pulled him quickly inside. The door quickly shut behind him, but in this room all was dark, and he could see nothing. A voice laughed right in this face. Mesaraih angrily slashed forward at it. "Sorry, that was too slow," the voice drawled. Mesaraih spat out blood. "You're not going to mess with me today," he said. He lit his sword up in flames and plunged it against the wall as hard as he could. The hole left inside was left with an everlasting flame. He started to run around the wall to do similar holes, and soon the whole room was lit up. The strange shadow creature was in a chair in the middle of the room, watching, and Reik was behind him in a small cell, asleep. He thought he saw a small twitch in his face, now, though. He looked back to the shadow creature. He was dressed in black robes, with a hood that covered his face. "My name is Rokan," he said. "Congratulations, you have impressed me. I'll let you be... my second in command. Perhaps." Almost before Rokan had finished talking Mesaraih shouted at him. "Shut the hell up, you bastard! You're going to die right now!" Rokan laughed.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Ebony roared with sadness from within his prison. He could feel the mind of Mesaraih, Zana, Reik, and the strange being called Rokan, but not his beloved Rider. His sadness turned into rage. How dare this...Rokan, creature harm Felecia, and through her, Mesaraih. The Eldunari in Mesaraih's hand began to tremble from the intensity of the emotions coursing through it. A beam of light cascaded from the large jewel, morphing into a very angry black dragon with silver spikes. The dragon roared in anger at Rokan. Because of you, my Rider, my precious little one, is dead! the dragons scales were laced with crimson red, showing it's unbelieveable anger. In revenge not just for myself, you'll suffer a 100 times more pain than she did! I'll hunt you as long as my Eldunari is whole, as long as my lungs have breath! I'll hunt you for the rest of time! Ebony roared, his spikes fading to snow white, his scales becoming completely crimson red from his anger. His eyes were a much deeper red. His eyes were blood red. He threw back his head and roared, shaking the large chamber. Lowering his head, he glared at Rokan. This wasn't just one of his 'anger fits'. His anger had complete control of his actions, but fortunately, his anger was centered on one person and one person alone; Rokan. Flames roiled in his mouth, spittle flew. His eyes flashed.
Zana wasn't far behind Ebony on the anger chart. Her black eyes were encircled with orange flames, her maroon blade flashed and reflected her emotions.
Felecia's body lay on the floor, her eyes staring sightlessly at the ceiling. Her wings were crumpled beneath her body. An invisible force hovered above it. The spirit of the body lying on the floor looked into the darkly lit room that Mesaraih, Zana, and....was that Eb? She narrowed her eyes. Yes, it was him! She floated into the room and hovered close to Mesaraih. She tried to touch him, but her hand passed right through his shoulder. She thought she saw him shudder and glance in her direction. She closed her eyes and concentrated on what she wanted. She tried again. Success! Her hand stopped at his shoulder, finding resistance. She wondered if he could hear her. No harm in trying,"Mesaraih. Do not fight in anger. Fighting in anger makes you blind to things that are coming your way. If you are blind, you will be killed quickly." she whispered, her mouth barely an inch away from his ear. She stepped back to watch the final battle, for since her body was dead, she could do nothing to help them win.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: Ouch, rather harsh on Kuja.. lol
Somehow Bahamut was blocked off then pushed out by an invisible force after giving energy to Mesaraih and Felecia. He tried going back in but this time it was much more protected. He growled in annoyance. Gah, magic was never one of my strengths. Bahamut went back over to where Daidrea and Kuja lay both still motionless. He sniffed both of them, Hm both of them are strong, but the silver-hair seems to favor spells more than the blade. He hunched over him and dipped into his mind. Oddly there were still barriers up. That amused Bahamut, even on the verge of death he still keeps his mind closed. Pushing them aside, he gave energy into him. Afterwards Bahamut attempted that has happened rarely with anyone and dragons in time. He fused his body into Kuja's, turning into energy itself.
Moments later, Kuja awoke...groaning. He bent upwards and looked around. The only thing he saw was Daidrea laying next to him. How did we get here. I brought you here. Slightly suprised Kuja replied, Bahamut...? where are you? The dragon replied, Inside of your body. There is little time to explain but I believe your friends need help. There is a barrier that I could not go past. So I assumed you would fare better. Kuja stood up slowly. Something felt different about him. He could feel a huge pool of energy within himself. It astonished him. He went over to a river near by and saw his reflection. His appearance has changed. His hair was blood red and his clothes were different.
I have been in his form before.. Bahamut replied with, Yes, I have seen it in your memories. I havent seen it before but if I had to guess if a strong being infuses their powers with something else of power they take this form. The last time your were in this form you used souls of many people. It works but it would not be as sufficient. Mosty of the souls you had were human so they burned out easily and took toll on your body. I on the other hand will not be depleted so easily. You should consider yourself lucky, I doubt anyone has obtained this strength before. Then he heard a light growl in his mind. Enough chatter, let us make haste towards your friends.
After running a short distance, Kuja came across the black barrier. He went inside with ease. Once inside he could sense where Mesaraih was but he could not feel Felecia. Not wanting to think about it, Kuja teleported towards Mesaraih. When he arrived, the sight shocked him. He saw Felecia on the ground motionless and a short distance away Mesaraih was fighting some one. He couldnt tell who... Kuja went over to Felecia and knelt over her. He wasnt sure why but he felt no emotions. Bahamut broke in, Sorry, I have never been the type to mourn a loss. So I typically block off my emotions, they only get in the way of things. Kuja remained silent and picked up Felecia. He looked back at Mesaraih who was still distracted. After a few moments he exited with Felecia in his arms. He continued for a short distance then set her down. It was usually against Kuja's philosopy...and magic's laws... to bring back the dead. However he felt compelled to. Kuja poured a huge amount of energy into Felecia's body. It caused her to twitch slightly. The he saw her open her eyes. He stood over her with his blank eyes.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Felecias' body opened it's eyes, but they registered nothing. The spirit had to re-enter the body to make it fully alive again. Felecia's spirit had no desire to return to a world of pain, so she turned to go hover by Kuja. She touched his shoulder with a phantom like hand. She made herself semi-transparant so he could see her. Her black/navy blue waist length hair flowed behind her like it was in water. Her sapphire eyes seemed to dance; but there was a profound sadness in them. She smiled sadly, then leaned forward and whispered in his ear,"I am at peace. My mind is at ease at long last. Let me sleep. And remember, dear Kuja, that though you may not be the one I chose as the one I loved, but you will always have a special place in my heart. I also think, dear Bahamut, that you should give your emotions a chance to prove themselves. For if you ever search for a mate, and yet you hold your emotions captive, you'll never find the one dragon that lights a fire in your heart like no other. The same goes for you, Kuja. Your emotions for me may of been only wishful thinking. If they were, then I promise you, you will find the right person..someday. If they weren't, and you truly did love me, then treasure the memories." she paused, allowing her wise words to sink in, then said,"But, I have one last request of both of you." her eyes saddened further,"Protect Mesaraih." she murmured, then slowly drifted from sight until she was invisible again.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja shifted slightly and put his hand outward. Using energy he grabbed at Felecia's soul and pushed her back in. She flinched as she was put back with a confused look on her face. He picked her up by the shirt, "Fool, dont think you can go away so easily. Do you think Mesaraih wants this? It would be a sad attempt to protect him if hes so miserable that it will drive him mad. Ebony already is, and Zana? She was so enraged that Serenity had to flee home out of fear..." He visually gritted his teeth and a silent tear came out of his eye. "Have you even thought about Hain? How do you think he will be? His mother would be gone and he would be confused with me... his father who wasnt around..?" He released his grip on her and she stood. He faced away from her, thinking to himself now. Bahamut remained silent the entire time.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Felecia bristled ever so slightly as Kuja pushed her back into her body. Her wings flared at her annoyance,"Kuja, even if I did die, I have confidance in you that you would be a good father to Hain." she stepped forward and laid a gentle hand on his shoulder. She noticed the tear and removed it with a tender touch of her finger,"You are right about Ebony, Mesaraih, and Zana. But Mesaraih and Zana have each had worse hurts than the loss of a friend or a lover. Zana lost her first dragon...." her voice dropped,"and Mesaraih lost his first dragon, too. His Father found the hatchling, and killed it almost as soon as he saw it. Losing me couldn't possibly be any worse than losing his first dragon." her gaze turned to the enraged Ebony that was in the chamber, then returned to Kuja,"Ebony has no excuse. I'm his Rider, so he has a right to be enraged at my death." she placed a cool hand on Kuja's cheek and forced him to turn his head and look at her,"Hain will begin to know his father when we get rid of this menace and get back home. Let's get this over with so you can meet your son, at long last." she murmured, smiling at the memory of their almost-six-year-old-son laying in the bed Zana had made for him. Her eyes hardened slightly,"Let's go kick some a*s*s." she growled, caressing his pale cheek, then drew her blade and jumped into the air. Her wings ached from her 'death', but she ignored it. Swooping low, she careened into the large chamber, releasing a very unhuman/unelven like shriek. She delved deep into herself and tapped her true power, making her entire body-encluding her wings-glow with an eery light. Her eyes were like two lances of light, and they were focused on Rokan. She saw from the corner of her eye that Ebony looked surprised, overjoyed, yet a burning anger still sat in his eyes. He was still angry with Rokan for even killing her in the first place. Felecia nodded at her dragon and smiled. Zana caught her eyes as well. The Elder Shade looked anything but angry. Once a Shade was angered, it took quite a while until they cooled down. She steeled herself from peeking at Mesaraih. She knew what his face would probably look like. She circled around the room once, then pulled up and hung in the air, flapping her wings rythimically to stay aloft. She pointed an accusing finger at Rokan,"You killed me, and in doing so you hurt Ebony, Mesaraih, Zana, my sister, my son, Kuja, and several others. For every ounce of pain they felt, you will pay!" she roared, a large ball of energy collecting at the tip of her finger. Her sapphire eyes danced dangerously with anger as she glowered at Rokan.
OOC: Whoa. Did I go to far with that one?

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Mesaraih looked up, and once again he felt like he could not believe what he was seeing. But finally he did, and he was overjoyed. As soon as she got serious again, though, he did so too. He started charging up his sword with power. As soon as Felecia let go of her ball of energy, he ran towards Rokan as well, bloody flames trailing from his sword. He jumped up in the air and slashed his sword down, but suddenly Rokan disappeared in a wisp of dark mist, then reappeared behind Felecia. He kicked her on the back and sent her crashing against the wall, then he did the same to Mesaraih. Rokan's kick had been strong: he made a hole against the wall. However, he had ceased to feel pain anymore. His anger had put him beyond that. Adrenaline blocked out any feeling of pain he might have been having. He rushed against Rokan once more, whom he knew was going to disappear again. Pretending to slash forward, he quickly brought his sword backwards at the last moment, cutting into Rokan just as he appeared behind him. Rokan stumbled back, holding his arm. Black blood fell onto the floor.
Reik's eyes finally opened. He was able to move again. He screamed his own rage outloud and with one hard kick broke free of the cell that imprisoned him. He drew his sword and pounced on Rokan, who was not expecting it but was able to move back in time. Reik's sword ripped Rokan's hood off however, and his face was revealed. It was half skeleton and half flesh. It looked rather like a rotting corpse.
Rokan started to laugh. He could see Reik and Mesaraih's outraged faces start to run towards him. He readied himself. They both slashed at him, but they were smart. They both lunged from the same side in case he disappeared. He dissolved behind them but they were quick enough to turn. One sword was flying high and the other low. His only choice was to throw himself flat in the air. He did so and kicked at both Mesaraih and Reik, who blasted him back with a concussion of air. He flipped and stood on his feet. He started firing dark balls of energy at them. They blocked them with his sword and started advancing forward. He was smiling more broadly than ever. When they were near, instead of sending multiple balls of energy, he sent one large one bigger than the both of them. It blasted them back and nearly broke the wall open. They lay there for a while, struggling to get back up. It would be fun to toy with them for a while. Though they were slightly competent.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja stood sliently for a moment, then said "I cant lose you Felecia... after Selris died. I had no one... I was an empty shell. Then you came, maybe not at the best of circumstances at first...but still. You gave me a purpose to live. If you died now... I wouldnt know what to do..." Kuja knew what he said was futile. Even if she was alive, she wanted to be with Mesaraih now. He didnt know what he did that made her change. He wanted her back...but now it was probably too late.
He followed her back and confronted Rokan. He was very strong, he dealt with Reik and Mesaraih quickly. Bahamut said, Come Kuja, make use of this power while you can. We dont have much time before I seperate from you.
Kuja teleported behind Rokan and kicked him in the back. Rokan skidded across the ground. He teleported again to in front of where he landed. Kuja picked him up and then opened his palm and struck Rokan in the stomach. On the impact, Kuja transferred energy into the blow, making Rokan unable to move. Next Kuja held out his right hand with his index and middle finger pointed out. They glowed with energy and after a few seconds, Kuja struck rokan with his fingers in five areas around the center of his chest. Then jumped back. He relaxed slightly and sighed slightly.
"You better not move, less you want your heart to explode. Course if you want to end it early you can, since your going to bleed out of every oriphus until you have no more blood. That will take about an hour and every minute is agonizing. It's useless to use magic as well, I have severed the flow to energy."

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Felecia gasped in alarm and pain as Rokan appeared behind her and kicked her into the wall. The dagger that the ice soldier had thrust into her chest wedged deeper into her heart, but it didn't kill her. Her back arched and her wings remained outstretched. With a lurch, she pushed away from the wall with a mighty thrust of her wings. She grasped the dagger hilt, ripped it out, and threw it to the floor. Blood dripped from her wound, but yet she stood strong. The reason was, she was like a wraith now. No ordinary blade could kill her now. She thanked the stars that that was true, otherwise she would of been dead already. She flew to Mesaraih's aid, hovering beside him and helping him to his feet, then Reik. She glowered at Rokan, but ignored him since he couldn't move. Felecia hovered in the air, glancing between Mesaraih and Kuja. From where they stood, she was dead in the center of both of them. She sighed deeply and rubbed her temples. What was she going to do? She loved Mesaraih, and if she left him......She shuddered. He would be more than devistated, since he'd gone through that before. But she loved Kuja, too. And from what Kuja said....he really needed her to keep his head level and sane. Felecia grimaced. She hated it. No matter which direction she turned in, she would hurt one or the other. She spilled air from her wings and landed gently, pushing her problem to the back of her mind. Her bright, piercing sapphire eyes focused on Rokan,"How do we get out of here? And you had better make damn sure your answer is the truth, because I'm not in a very good mood right now." she growled, half raising her wings in emphasis.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Rokan quickly tapped into his reserves of dark magic and secured his heart. Then, pretending to struggle, he gurgled out, "There's a secret door... over there by that crack... in the wall. Tap it three times and... it'll open." When they turned around, he quickly teleported right to the wall he had mentioned and tapped it three times. "Just kidding," he said. "It seems that I have an hour to finish you. And I plan to do it."
Mesaraih and Reik both drew their swords. "I'm getting tired of this," Mesaraih said. Rokan nodded. "For the first time, I am too," he replied. Faster than Mesaraih thought possible, he sent two black bolts of lightning at them that sent them crashing against the wall, and in less then a second he was there already again. Mesaraih and Reik were able to block him. This time, they were all fighting with vigor, but Mesaraih and Reik were able to hold him off, now knowing all his tricks, and it seemed that Rokan was weakening every minute.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja wanted to step in again, but he felt he had already done his part and it seemed to be more of Mesaraih's fight. He just wanted to protect Felecia at all costs at this point. She did draw a point, the way out seemed blocked. They had to figure out how to escape once they dealt with Rokan. All they had to do is last an our or so. Kuja's curse on Rokan was already begining to weaken him greatly.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Rokan growled. He had to finish them now or else he would be too weak to fight later on. He quickly slid past Mesaraih's thrust and ducked Reik's stab, then sent black ropes towards Reik, throwing him against the opposite wall and binding him, while at the same time pressing Mesaraih against the wall he was facing with his foot. He produced a black spear and put as much power into it as he could without weakening too much, then looked at Mesaraih right in the eyes. "Now you die," he said.
Mesaraih looked at the spear, swirling with tendrils of dark magic. He could not free himself from Rokan's grip, and he could only just move his hand. Holding his sword, he tried to swing it up, but it didn't reach far enough. His thoughts raced as Rokan plunged the spear straight into his mouth, yet it seemed like there was no way to escape death. Then, just when it was about to pierce the other side of his throat, Mesaraih bit down on the spear as hard as he could. Rokan's surprise caused his grip to slacken, and Mesaraih broke free and spit the spear out. As Rokan lunged out to grab him once more, Mesaraih sidestepped him and stabbed his sword down on both his arms as they crossed. Rokan yelled and tried to kick out at him, but Mesaraih moved jumped, and then, holding his sword with both hands, swung it around, carrying Rokan with it. He slammed him against the wall and the floor, and then, with a horrible ripping sound, his arms were ripped from their sockets. Mesaraih quickly kicked the arms off and ran towards Rokan, who was staring at his arms that lay where Mesaraih had thrown them. By now, he was covered in his own black blood. Rokan's face had lost all color. He looked up at Mesaraih running towards him and his face turned into a terrible snarl. He opened his mouth and a large black beam of energy streamed out. Mesaraih was just able to jump out of the way. Rokan followed him consistently, but then another ripping sound could be heard as Reik came from behind, finally having freed himself, and slashed at Rokan's body at the stomach, cleanly cutting it off. Rokan's legs slumped to the floor, and his abdomen floated eerily in space. His eyes turned completely white, and they rolled back and forth. Blood gushed from his whole body mostly from his mouth. A black aura surrounded him, and when his spasm was over, he was glaring. His white eyes looked down at Reik and Mesaraih. He started shooting multitudes of black balls of energy from his mouth, which Mesaraih and Reik were barely able to block. After minutes that seemed to drag on forever, Mesaraih blasted a large wave of fire from his swords, burning out all of Rokan's attacks and covering him. He crashed against the wall, cracking it, his hair on fire. Mesaraih ran towards him once more and started to punch him several times in the face, then kicked him against the opposite wall again. Reik walked towards him and placed him against the wall. Then, his sword swirling with angry blue flames, he stabbed Rokan in the heart. Rokan gave a rather large twitch, then lay still. A strange whistling sound could be heard, then his body exploded, sending Reik flying back and causing a large cloud of dust to pick up. After several minutes it cleared, and the strange room they had been in lay in ruins around them. The sun was just breaking out of the horizon.
OOC .::. lol, got kind of carried away.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Felecia trembled with exhaustion as the place they had been trapped in collasped. Her legs shook and gave way, sending her to her knees, then her upper body collided with the ground. Her wings sagged on either side of her, looking like mini tents. She felt someone touch her shoulder, but she didn't care anymore. She was so tired, she felt like she could sleep for decades. She knew the unrelenting sleep she now felt was death trying to claim another victim. She thought of her friends, her son, Zana, Mesaraih, Kuja.....Ebony. Thinking of them gave her strength, and she struggled to her knees, then shakily got to her feet. Her whole body ached from nearly dieing once, doing so another time, then coming back to life both times. Her wings hung limply from her back, brushing the ground like a leather cape behind her. She stumbled and nearly fell, but caught a tree branch and steadied herself. Her eyes were unfocused.....then she felt a rough material slide along her right arm, jolting her awake. She looked to her right and found herself looking into the now pure golden eyes of her dragon. He smiled as she cried out in elation and embraced his neck tightly. His throat vibrated as he purred. Little one..... he murmured warmly. Felecia felt tears of happiness streak from her sparkling sapphire eyes. I cannot stay like this forever. Soon, I must return to my Eldunari, he said gently as she broke away. She nodded and stroked his nose.
Zana watched Ebony and Felecia for awhile, then turned to return to her home in the desert.
Ella realized that she hadn't seen Daidrea in a while. She searched around the forest and gasped when she found him laying under a thickly branched tree. She rushed to his side and started working on his wounds.
Serenity peaked around a tree. She could see Reik, Mesaraih, Kuja, Felecia, and Ebony gathered in a clearing. Her brow furrowed. Wasn't Ebony supposed to be dead? Oh yeah, Felecia had his Eldunari. He was dead in body, but not spirit. She came out from around the bush, Iberina not far behind her. Frostmourne hung on her left hip, swaying with her stride. She scowled at Kuja. She wasn't exactly happy with him right this second. She went to stand between Reik and Mesaraih, setting a hand on each of their shoulders. She smiled at them,"A new beginning has blossomed from this. With your curse gone, Reik, you and Mesaraih can be what was denied from you for far to long; brothers. Enjoy your freedom Reik, you deserve it." she said, and stepped away. She turned her gaze to Kuja. You said that the younger generation are ignorant, ambitous. Yet, though you may say that, I've been gifted with a power that no other person may have. Do you see me flouncing it around and bragging about it, like some people would do? No, I use my power to help people. she sighed and refocused her eyes on his. Contraire to what you may think, I do understand. I understand your fight with Daidrea, but is it really needed? Think about everyone that cares about you now. Me, for one. I care about you as a good mentor...and a very good friend. More than a friend, she blushed slightly when she said that. She did care for Kuja as more than just a friend, but actually saying that to him made her sound like a lovestruck elf. She ground her teeth and continued. Anyway, if you think that noone would care if you died, your way wrong, she said, her hazel eyes softening. She looked at Felecia and Ebony, smiled, then back into the shadows next to her dragon.
OOC: Hm....I have an idea coming.....and it's a pretty big one.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC:Uh-oh lol... But so do I and I think it will shock both of you.
Kuja stood for a while, being passive and unresponsive to what was going on around him once Rokan was dealt with. Suddenly he felt a tingling sensation, he glowed shortly then an energy seeped out of his body. Bahamut reformed and landed with a gaint thud. Kuja returned to his original state. He decided to go back to the Hadarac...to meet Hain. Without wait for Felecia he teleported back to the "mini" village that everyone had set place. He went around to Felecia's house and went in. After searching a couple rooms, he came into a small bedroom with a little boy sleeping. He went over silently and knelt down next to him. He stared at him as he slept. Kuja placed a gentle hand over his head. However something disturbed him, Hain did have some features of Felecia but not of himself. He reached out into his mind and felt his energy signature. Again his hunch was correct, he felt bits of energy that was once Felecia's but none of his. Other strands of energy were familiar but not his own. He recoiled back almost in horror.
What...? Is all that popped into his head. His mind throbbed with a headache. He placed a hand to his forehead. after waiting a few moments he left the room. Thoughts were racing in his head. That is Felecia's child...but it seems I am not the father.. No... that cant.. No. How is that possible? He tried thinking back to when he and Felecia were trying to concieve a child. Afterwards he left for reasons he still cant remember. He could only draw blanks in his mind. Dammit... how could this happen? Kuja walked outside and leaned against a wall. He slid down to sit, trying to figure out this mess. OOC:Was that something close to what you had in mind or was that just completely different? lol...

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: Eh, not really, but I think I know what your up to. *sly grin and wink*
IC: Felecia started as she sensed Kuja near Hain. She smiled. Of course he would want to see his son. She glanced at Ebony and he nodded in understanding. She touched Mesaraih's thoughts. Kuja is with Hain. I...must be with him when he talks with his son. You may be there, too..if you wish, she said, then spread her wings and went to her home. She landed several feet from the doorway and found Kuja sitting outside. She kneeled beside him,"Kuja, what's wrong? Why aren't you inside talking with your son? He should be awake by now." she said, folding her wings closely to her body.
OOC: Kinda dry right now.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja didnt reply to Felecia for the longest time. He was so confusedon how something like this could happen. The he slowly spoke "Hain..isnt my son." It was blunt and almost cold. Felecia seemed stunned. "I looked at him while he slept. He looks like you but not me. So in fear I looked into his energy, again bits from you but none from me. So I cant be his father, this proves it." Kuja stood up, and looked at her some what sternly. "Were you lonely once I disappeared? That I cannot apologize for but still... did something happen..? Was it you and Mesaraih perhaps?"
OOC: The plot thickens hahaha.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: I'm fairly certain I know what you up to. This has to do with Mesaraih & Fenirexes being "inside" Felecia, right?
IC: Felecia blinked several times at the coldness in Kuja's voice. She stood up with him, her wings half raised in alarm,"How can Hain not be your son? I remember clearly when I conceived, and it was with you. Yes, I was lonely, I mourned for you for weeks, months. I searched for you until I couldn't without putting the baby in jeopardy. No, nothing happened while you were gone. While I had my child, I never went behind your back. Besides, your the only man that I slept with. And anyway, Mesaraih was in his sleep, how could I sleep with him if he's already asleep?" she asked, adding a hint of defence to her tone, her slanted eyebrows meeting in a sharp V.
OOC: If that's not the case, why don't you pm me and tell me what you are up to, that way I can plan my posts ahead of time and not ruin your plan with an ill typed post.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: Eh, I forgot about that lol. Perhaps it could explain things though and caused things to "shift"
Kuja blankly stared at Felecia for a moment. If she was speaking the truth, he didnt know how this could happen. There was no trace of Kuja within Hain yet he was the only one with Felecia. His headache returned, so he sat back down to try to clear his head. "I'm sorry Felecia.." he managed to mutter.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC .::. *confusion*
IC .::. Fenirexes flew towards the desert once more himself. The Hadarac. It was hard to imagine everything that had come to happen around this place. It all centered around it. It was the heart of their problems, but of their joy too. He sighed and jumped off Fenirexes when he landed. He and Reik got off. Reik said, "It seems you have a difficult situation." Mesaraih nodded. "I don't want to be selfish, and she has a son with Kuja." He sighed again. He was confused as to what he really wanted.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Felecia paled until she closely resembled a sheet. She knew what was going on. Felena had told her several days ago. She kneeled beside Kuja and placed a hand on his shoulder,"There's nothing to be sorry about Kuja. I know what's going on. Do you remember when Mesaraih said he knew everything that had happened over the last 15 yrs? How could he if he was asleep?" she took a deep breath,"It's because he was inside of me spiritually. Him and Fenirexes. Their spirits fled from their bodies and lodged inside me." she looked up at Mesaraih, knowing that he was listening,"So when you and I slept together....he's the one that fathered my child, because he was already inside me at the time." she looked back down at Kuja,"I never noticed that Hain didn't look like you. I thought it was strange at first, but some children have no resemblance to their parents at all, so I didn't pay it any mind." she looked back up at Mesaraih,"But sometimes I thought I saw a shadow of Mesaraih's features. The first few times I thought I was crazy, then I looked harder and realized Hain did look somewhat like Mesaraih. I just chose to ignore it." she looked back down and lifted Kuja's chin up so he was looking straight into her eyes,"For what it's worth, I think you would make a great father." she fanned her wings slightly so that Mesaraih couldn't see what she was doing (though he would probably guess), then tenderly kissed Kuja on the lips. She pulled away,"I'm sorry that Hain isn't your son, and that you and I didn't work out. But remember this Kuja, my love for you was real; very real. Still is. If you ever need to just talk to me," she smiled,"You'll know where to find me." she grimaced,"Zana will probably kill me for saying this, but, I think Serenity may like you. It doesn't really surprise me, actually. Shades seem to be attracted to each other. Zana and Geldo for example." she winked sadly at Kuja,"Why don't you go talk with Serenity? You might surprise yourself." she murmured. Felecia folded her wings and turned to face Mesaraih. Her eyes were happy yet sad. It had been a trying day on everyone, especially herself, Kuja, and Mesaraih.
OOC: Have I gone insane? I kinda went ahead of time. Sorry about that. Oh, and a warning to both of you, I'm not in the greatest of moods right now, so if I snap at ya, don't take it to heart.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja remained silent when Felecia suddenly explained things and even after she kissed him. Thoughts were rushing through his mind. After a while he decided to leave. He vanished inside a portal while sitting down. He appeared by another house in the village. He began walking around aimlessly and staring into the night sky. Suddenly he saw Serenity standing outside her house leaning against a wall. She was staring at him. He stared back with his blank...saddened eyes. He was too emotionally confused to think about what Felecia had said. Still...
He turned aside and averted her gaze.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
When Felecia kissed Kuja, he walked out of the house. He looked up at the sky, wondering. He did not leave because he felt jealous. He was not even sure how he was feeling. It was something like sad, worried, and very confused. But not quite it. He jumped on the roof of a building and sat there, looking out at the horizon.
OOC .::. kinda blank right now.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: D! YOUR ON THE TEAM! CONGRATS!
IC: Felecia watched Mesaraih leave the house, and nodded to herself in understanding. She entered the house and went into her sons bedroom. She sat on the edge of the bed, watching him sleep so peacefully. She caressed his face. Now that she looked carefully, Hain looked very much like Mesaraih. His eye twitched, and he sleepily opened his eyes,"Mommy? Is that you?" he asked, his words slurred with sleep. Felecia smiled as the little boy clambered from under the covers into her lap,"Yes my son, it's me." she murmured, wrapping her wings around him. She closed her eyes and slowly rocked from side to side, humming a lullaby she'd learned as a young girl. The words were,"Hush my son, you are safe. Never again will you be, in, harms, way. In my arms, you will always be safe. Even if danger is right in front of us, never fear, for my wings will carry us to safety. If one of us must stay and fight, let it be me. For I would rather protect you, then grieve for you." she stopped humming. Hain was limp in her arms, his breathing deep and calm. She laid her cheek on his head. She opened her eyes. She got up, moved her wings to create a sling/craddle on her back, and set her son in it. Her wings sagged with the weight, but they were strong from all the flying she did. She went into the main room and sat on a chair. She hesitantly touched Mesaraih's thoughts. If you want-if your ready-you can come in and see..your son, Mesaraih. I'm proud to say that your the father. she said, then gently extracted herself from his thoughts. She grimaced and shifted part of her wing. Hain was heavy. Of course, he wasn't one anymore, he was turning six.
Serenity's gaze caught Kuja's, and she blushed slightly. She really did care for him as more than a friend. Extracting a gold egg from the earth, she molded an egg much like the one Felecia had made, but instead of the inside of the band saying 'My Love Forever', it said 'My Love'. She teleported the ring to Kuja. I do not give you this ring because of how I feel. I give it to you so you may give it to the one you love. You know how I feel about you now. she blushed a deeper red. But don't let that influence you, she quickly turned in embarrassment and fled into her house, her cheeks flaming.
OOC: Awkward.....

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja stood with the ring in his hand, looking at it. He thought about many things, what was said. Then he decided something. He put the ring in his pocket. Then said to Serenity with his mind, I thank you...but perhaps this isnt the right time. Since I am going to be your mentor, it would not be appropiate for the time being. Plus your are still very young Serenity. For now we will put this aside. Your training may take a few years so you will learn and grow in maturity. Once your training is finished then we can focus on other things. You should rest, it will start tomarrow. However I think it would be best if you started with Zana first in the morning. My methods... are rather harsh. Sleep well.
When he finished Kuja teleported to a plateau and laid down to face the night sky.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: Congratulations Daidrea, you deserve to be on the team!
Elfrida walked across the night sky, wondering how she had gotten there. Elfrida looked around, and saw only dark, but she felt the presence of Kuja, Felecia, Serenity, and Mesaraih. The latter three all seemed to be near each other, while Kuja was not with them. From her place in the sky Elfrida felt the feelings the others had all had that day, and she shook her head. Much has happened. Too much for me to think clearly, at least. Elfrida reached out with her mind to the others, and when they were able to hear her she said, "Listen to you heart, and you can do anything. Nothing can stop a determined heart. Nobody can. Not time, nor any person, and sometimes even Death itself cannot stop the determination of a single heart." Elfrida pulled back from the others minds as soon as she finished speaking, and began searching for a way out of the sky.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: MORWEN'S BACK! YAHOO! Sorry, I'm in a good mood right now.
IC: Felecia could vaguely sense how Mesaraih felt. She again touched his thoughts. Mesaraih, look at Hain's energy signature. It has some of your code in it, as well as mine. He does not only have your features, he has your energy, she murmured, lingering in his mind instead of leaving. Hain shifted on her back, curling into a slight ball. His legs tucked up to his chest, his arms held his knees. His head rested on the nape of her neck. Felecia started as Elfrida's voice rang in her mind, like a long forgotten whisper suddenly heard loud as the howling wind. She pondered the Were-cat's words. They were very true indeed.
Serenity blushed scarlet as she replied to Kuja. Yes Ebrithil, she murmured. She entered the small bed chamber where she slept. She disrobed and slid under the blankets, making sure this time she would stay in her bed, and not sleepwalk. She lay there, trying to sleep, but it would not come. She irritably blew some hair out of her face. She started every so slightly as Elfrida spoke in her mind. She listened carefully, then spoke to the Were-cat. I may have three Master's if I'm not careful. Your words are wiser than you think. Maybe you can teach me wisdom, when you have time, she said. Serenity felt Iberina brushing her thoughts, and calmed. Little one, sleep. You have a big day ahead of you, and you must be well rested, she said gently, seeming to caress her thoughts and lull her into sleep. It worked. With a tender smile on her face, Serenity fell asleep.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja awoke the next morning, he stretched himself...he was sore from sleeping on solid rock. Once he finished he teleported back to the village and looked around. Although it was only the brink of daylight, Kuja wanted to speak with Zana before she started with Serenity. He went inside her house and found she too was already awake. She was sitting down, eating by herself. "Morning", he said blankly. When she didnt respond, Kuja decided to wait for her to finish. Shes reluctant to do this he thought....either that or she must of figured out what Serenity did last night. He sighed slightly. She has to stop being so over protective or it will cause problems while training her.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Mesaraih listened to Felecia and Elfrida. He sighed and nodded absentmindedly. He slowly started to walk back towards the house, thinking deeply. And then he slowly grasped the reality of things. Hain... was his son. With renewed vigor he ran towards the house. He crashed through the door and hurried to hug his son.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Elfrida finally found a way out of the now morning sky, near where Serenity was asleep. "You do not know your potential." Elfrida whispered, and walked away. "Felecia you surprised me yesterday." Elfrida muttered quietly to herself as she walked. "So much emotion, so little loss." Elfrida shook her head slowly "So much gain. How can anyone's path change so quickly in such a short time." Elfrida accidentally transported herself to a small forest without noticing, and didn't notice until she had entered a cave. This is annoying, I can't take fifty steps without being where I don't won't to be. Elfrida thought as she looked around. The cave was large, and covered in crystals, growing from the floor, and hanging from the ceiling. The walls, stalactites, and stalagmites, had a blue tinge. Elfrida walked further into the cave. A large sulfur ocean lay in front of Elfrida, the waves carrying sulfur gems with them. Elfrida knelt to pick one up, and transported herself back to Serenity, and placed the bracelet she had made from the gem around Serenity's wrist. "You don't need me to be close to you, to give you energy, or words of any kind." Elfrida said softly, "You have so much potential, I would hate to see it wasted. This bracelet should keep you from death." Elfrida walked away, pondering what she had learned of Serenity's hidden strengths during the night. So much potential, hidden away. How can she find it? Oh that's how. Elfrida smiled, and sat on the ground, looking east.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Hain had woken up several minutes ago. He still sat, craddled in Felecia's wings on her back, but his curious eyes watched his surroundings. When the door crashed open, his face broke into a broad grin. Even though he was only five and had never seen his father before, he knew who his father was. He just knew. Scrambleing out of Felecia's wings, he cried out,"Daddy!" and ran into Mesaraih's arms. She didn't know what it was, but seeing father and son finally embrace after so many years, brought tears to her eyes. But they were happy tears. Felecia's wings extended, like they were arms spreading out to give a warm hug. Her sapphire eyes danced with happiness. Felecia sighed in content, a grin on her face. She got up, walked to Mesaraih, and wrapped her wings around both him and Hain. Their son was squeezed in between them, but he didn't seem to care. The joyous little boy squeezed his father until she feared he would crush Mesaraih's lungs. He only loosened his hold when she whispered her concern into his mind. Stilled grinning, Felecia looked deep into Mesaraih'a eyes,"We are one." she murmured to him. Hain cocked his head to the side, for he didn't understand what she meant. But she knew that Mesaraih did.
Zana finished her breakfast and set her dishes aside to clean later. She turned to Kuja,"Good morning. You want to talk to me about something? Is it about Serenity's training?" she asked, belting on Deyja.
Serenity slowly woke. The first thing she noticed was, a crystal braclet hung on her wrist. It seemed delicate, not dominating her slender wrist in anyway. She touched it with her mind. It had some energy in it, and a spell. The spell was so carefully placed, she couldn't really tell who had placed it or what it's purpose was. Deciding to figure it out later, she got up, dressed, strapped on Frostmourne, her quiver, and her bow, then walked out to care for Iberina. Serenity smiled as her dragon butted her playfully. She stroked her nose. How are you doing? she asked, gazing into the deep purple depths of Iberina's eyes. Iberina purred. I'm doning fine, my pet. Let's get going, I'm eager to start training, she said, grinning wolfishly. Serenity grinned in response and leaped into the saddle.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja sighed slightly, almost in relief. "I was just merely curious what you were going to have her start with. Obviously you're going to be the one working with her and her dragon for the basics of dragonriding...since I have none." Kuja hesitated slightly then continued, "What are you beginning with first. I just wish to know so I can figure out what I can work on her with to start."

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
One of Zana's eyebrows raised ever so slightly,"If you think I'm going to go easy on her for training just because she's my daughter, think again." she grinned,"I was thinking about starting both of them on endurance. You never know how long a battle will last. Iberina must learn to fly for long periods of time, possibly carrying heavy loads. Serenity must boast her magic strengths, and learn to use both her right and left hand with the blade. I'll leave her training with Frostmourne to you, since I never handled the blade all but once, and I don't know all of it's powers." she snapped her fingers, changing her clothes for training. Leather the color of her dragon encircled her body. A deep maroon, zip-up type shirt clung to her skin, exposeing her stomach a little. Leather pants hung from her hips. Noticing that her stomach was showing more than she liked, she muttered under her breath and her shirt lengthened slightly (her shirt looks like a shortened halter top kinda). Zana eyed Kuja coolly,"My training will be no less harsh than yours, if your wondering why I'm dressed like a she-devil." she winked slyly, then walked out the door to great her students. Iberina banked hard to the right, hovered a moment, then landed, just barely sturring any sand. Serenity jumped from her back with the ease of an elf, bending her knees to absorb the shock of her landing. Bowing slightly at the waist, she twisted her hand above her sternum,"Master Zana, Master Kuja, Master Arianna, I'm ready for my training." she said, smiling. Iberina behind her nodded, grinning toothily. Zana smiled warmly, her eyes alight with pride for the young woman she saw before her. The young woman that she'd risen from birth. Blinking rapidily, she dispelled her nostalgia and concentrated on the task at hand: training her daughter to be a fierce warrior to reckon with. Zana nodded,"Then we shall begin. You shall spar with me for an hour, learning stances as you go. For the hour after that, you'll practice battling with magic against me. Meanwhile, you, Iberina, shall be with Arianna. What she decides to teach you is up to her. After that we will break for lunch. I don't want to put to much stress on either of you. A pulled wing muscle from to much flying or a pulled tendon in your sword arm won't do you any favors in the least. After lunch...well, that's up to Kuja, for I turn the training over to him then." she said. Zana could fell the sweltering heat beating down on her. This color of leather was a bad idea. Her finger twitched, and her clothing shimmered, changing to a stark white leather that fought of the heat. Touching her daughters shoulder, her clothing to changed, now a flowing white tunic with light blue leggings. Frostmourne shuddered on Serenity's hip, recognizing Zana's touch. Zana quickly pulled her arm back. With a dismissing nod to Arianna and Iberina, she went down into a crouch, picked up two sturdy tree branchs in the shape of swords, tossed one to her daughter, then settled into a battle stance,"You may watch if you wish, Kuja." she said, then lunged for Serenity's shoulder. Serenity went to block with the hilt of her makeshift sword, but Zana fiented to her right. Her daughter spun on one heel, back-flipped away from the strike, and settled again, her eyes watching carefully for an opening. Serenity fiented to her right, spun around, and whacked Zana, hard, on the arm. Zana winced,"Good, your learning well already." she praised, watching as an overconfident smile played on her lips. Zana let a smile play at her own lips. She swung down at Serenity's feet; she jumped over it. She swung up high; the lithe shade ducked, swung at Zana's left. Zana jumped back, barely avoiding the stinging hit of the wood. Serenity spun completely around, and Zana took the chance. She lunged, rapping her daughter roughly on the back,"Never, ever leave your back open. The only time you should leave your back ungaurded is to a corpse." she scolded, her voice suddenly harsh. Serenity merely nodded, turned around to again face her master, and crouched into position. Zana eyed her surroundings, and saw that her daugter was, too. She spotted a twig; so did Serenity. Zana eyed her opponent, who just eyed her right back, then lunged. Too late! Serenity got it first and flung it into her face, leaving her blind for an instant. She removed it to find her daughter only a second away from impact. The stick sword plunged into her stomach with accuracy. She released a loud,"oof!" of pain. The hit made her go flying backwards, landing squarely on her back. Moments later, she felt slight pressure on her neck, and knew it was the sword. With a wry smile, she allowed Serenity to help her to her feet. She looked worried that she'd hurt her, but didn't ask. Zana nodded in approval,"You are indeed a fast learner, if you can defeat me in so few steps. Though," she said with a pause,"Don't get cocky, ever. Cockiness is just your death waiting to happen." she said. She ran an eye dow Serenity's frame, drenched with sweat,"Take a break and bath in the stream. You are to tired to go right to the magic without rest. Go on, shoo! I don't have all bloody day to train you." she grinning wryly and shook her head as she watched her daughter's retreating form,"She will indeed have great promise as a swordswomen if she can keep defeating me like that. None of my students have defeated me like that, let alone on their very first lesson and in so few steps." her eyes grew shadowed,"She will indeed have great power." she murmured.
OODC: All I can say is...wow.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja watched as Zana and Serenity sparred. Once they were finished Kuja stood up and crossed his arms. He sighed slightly, Zana was too proud to admit it but she held back. He didnt want to say anything though...it would only cause problems. He turned off into a different direction. He wondered how the dragons are faring.
Kuja sat back down and teleported an apple into his hand and began eating it. Once Serenity was done with magic with Zana, it would be his turn...

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Zana watched Kuja carefully. She had an idea about what he was thinking. He was thinking that perhaps she was holding herself back. She sighed. She hated to admit it, she really did, but he was right. She was holding herself back because she didn't want to hurt Serenity, even by accident. Grimacing, she vaguely touched Arianna's mind, curious about what the elder dragoness was teaching the younger dragoness. She saw through Arianna's that Iberina was hovering with one boulder tied to her saddle. Zana could see that the young dragon was panting heavily; could feel her wing and shoulder muscles burning savagely with fatigue. She winced in sympathy as Serenity came back, not looking any better than her dragon felt. Sometimes being connected with another being was a burden; having to share your thoughts, feelings, pains. But in the long run, it was the best thing that could ever happen to you. Zana frowned slightly, then addressed her daughter,"Are you ready to begin your magic training?" she asked. Serenity nodded. Without hesitating, Zana outstretched her marked hand and barked,"Brisingr!", sending a snapping, crackling stream of maroon fire at her. Serenity quickly lifted her own marked hand,"Letta brisingr!" she said. She seemed to catch the fire, then threw it back at her master.OOC: I can't remember off the top of my head all the words I need so the spells aren't absolutes. I have to get off now. Come up with some spells that they spit at each other. Zana is a bit more experienced than Serenity, so the wording and perplexity will be higher. You can control these two while I'm gone, and Serenity when Kuja is training her. It's easier that way. I'm pretty tired tonight. Night.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja was slightly more interested in how Serenity would fare in magic. She did fairly well...even thought her achient language was a little rough. Hmm.. she will probably need to learn to use finer wording. Still...its good enough for now. The fighting eventually slowed to a stop and Zana began showing her more complex spells and how to word them correctly. Kuja sighed slightly, she should really teach her the basis of magic before giving her more complicated spells. I suppose it cant be helped, she teaching her things to keep her alive first. I can cover the detailed things later...
Kuja waited for them to finish so they could eat. Kuja was getting slightly uneasy when his turn was coming up. He put it out of his mind and looked on.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Elfrida watched Serenity's lessons with interest. Elfrida willed Zana to push Serenity to the limits of her ability, and to show the true, hidden potential. Elfrida noticed Kuja nearby, and walked over to him. "Are you alright Kuja? You look a little pale. Maybe you should stop thinking about the student, and only think about the lesson. Pretend that she's your brother then maybe you won't have any problems." Elfrida turned back to watch Serenity, and Zana again. "Kuja, you have reminded me of a brother." Elfrida told him "A brother who is seeking something, and I feel like the sister who wants to help, wants to see you have your desires. You have something in you Kuja, a desire that I wish to help you fulfill as a sister. Follow your heart Kuja, and nothing can go wrong, no matter what happens things will always turn right in the end. I will help you with the best of my abilities to be a sister to you, and help you fulfill your desires if you will allow me to." Elfrida watched Serenity, and Zana, and once again found herself willing Zana to push Serenity.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja became irritated with Elfridas comments. "Do not lecture me me elf. My desires are my business not yours." Kuja paused slightly after thinking about the bloody fight with Daidrea. "I have no brother." Kuja walked over to her. "And what makes you think you are allowed to teach Serenity? You may be an elf but still very young by your standards. No, Serenity is a shade and will be taught by shades."
Kuja was harsh, maybe his emotions for her was taking hold of him too much...but by shade heritage this was common.
He walked a short distance towards Zana and Serenity and said aloud, "Enough, Serenity take a break and eat. I expect you to be ready afterwards." Kuja turned and walked a good distance away to try to calm himself.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Elfrida laughed at Kuja's words, she couldn't help it. "I know that you have no brother. I was comparing Serenity to what a true brother is like." Elfrida said to him. "Niether do I want any part of her training. All I want for Serenity is to see her true potential come out. Thirdly, I am not a true elf. I am a halfbreed, rejected by most races, and have no desire to be compared by those who despise me." Elfrida shook her head slightly, silently laughing, Kuja had said more than he thought.
Elfrida walked over to Felecia, and Mesaraih. "May nothing break the true binds that you hold on each other. You two have much reason for joy. Your son's future will be an interesting one to say the least, although that is all I can see in his future at the time being. You two truly have a great gift." Elfrida said smiling, then walked away.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Serenity panted with fatigue. Zana was very....thorough. She wearily wiped her sweat coated brow with her hand. She took a band and swept her chocolate brown hair into a loose pony-tail. She nodded to Kuja, then trotted back to the stream to wash. She stripped and dove head first into the cold water. It felt like heaven to her. She quickly washed the dirt and grim from her skin, rubbing vigorously until her skin smarted. She dryed herself with a short spell, dressed, then returned to the field. Serenity straightened her shoulders, then walked into sight. She nodded shortly at Kuja,"I'm ready, Ebrithil." she said, her jaw set firmly. She felt relief inside her as energy flowed through her. She gave her mother a thankful glance, then looked at Kuja. She knew that this would most likely be the most interesting training she'd gone through so far. She looked up as the wingbeats of her dragon came to life. Thud. Her teeth jarred together. Thud. The ground vibrated. Thud. A tremor ran down her length and she plugged her ears. With the fourth-thud-came a low-throated growl. Iberina hovered, then landed heavily beside her Rider. Her whole body trembled; from the end of her snout to the tip of her tail, not one muscle on her body wasn't quivering from fatigue. Serenity placed a tender hand on Iberina's snout. She felt energy rush into the young dragon, but it wasn't from her. She hid a smile. It was Zana. She knew it. Iberina rumbled gently and nuzzled her under the chin, her deep purple eyes warm. Serenity smiled, then turned to Kuja, as did Iberina.
OOC: Hm. Interesting.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja gazed at Serenity for some time...then he finally spoke. "It is time for you to learn how to use Frostmourne. Up until now it has only been a sword, now it will become a great source for your power. Draw Frostmourne and expand you're mind into it. It may accepted you as a sword but to use it's true power...you must face the legacy it's orginal owner left behind for others to use. If you overcome it...then the blade will be truely yours. Be warned though...this journey will be yours alone. No one, not even you're dragon will be able to help you. If you should fail... your mind will be lost forever." Kuja could sense she has become distressed but didnt back down. "Very well. Expand you're mind into the blade." She did so and the runes embedded on the blade began to glow. The world around Serenity vanished and entered a world of shadow and despair. Blue arcane energy blew across the plane, following a wind that was heavy. A large figure was walking towards Serenity. It was completely covered in black armor, and in the helm was two blue glowing eyes with leaking energy leaving them. He towered Serenity at eight feet. He drew a blade and it too was Frostmourne. A faint...murderous voice rang into Serenity's head, Die...
He swung his blade downward...but Serenity could do nothing. The blade hung over her head and glowed. An aura surrounded her and it was being drained into the blade. Serenity was losing her soul... However she summoned the strength to fight back. The energy returned to her and her eyes began to glow blue as well. She gripped Frostmourne and stabbed the figure in the heart. He and the world around her vanished. She collapsed to her knees.
Sorry that I had to godmod but I sort of had to for this to work.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: I don't mind. If you need to godmod my charry's for something (like you just did) feel free to. You can keep godmoding Serenity, since you understand Frostmourne's powers more than I do.
IC: Felecia smiled at Elfrida, then looked at the squashed little boy in between her and Mesaraih,"Go on Hain, time for your nap." he looked up at her with pleading eyes,"Aw mom, I'm almost six years old. Naps are for baby's. Can't I take a nap later?" he asked. She just smiled wider and shook her head,"No my son. If you don't take a nap then you'll be cranky for the rest of the day. Give your father a kiss on the cheek then get ready to get in bed." she said. Hain sighed,"Oh, alright mom." he growled, then turned to Mesaraih. He planted a big kiss on his fathers cheek, then said,"Night dad." and skipped into his bedroom. Felecia grinned as she watched their son's antics. She chuckled,"Every time since he was two, he's fought me when it's his naptime." she crossed her arms, her sparkling sapphire eyes filled with laughter,"But in the end I always win." she said. She curved a wing around Mesaraih and pulled him closer, a coy grin spreading on her face,"And while Hain sleeps, we can spend time together. If you want." she said, leaning forward and kissing him lightly on the lips. Retracting her wing, she walked into Hain's bedroom. Leaning over him, she kissed his forehead gently,"Sleep well my son." she said, tracing his jawline with a wing tip. He gazed longingly at her wings,"I wish I had wings; like yours, Mother." he murmured. Felecia grinned,"Someday you will. Someday." she said, backing through the doorway. She turned to Mesaraih,"Go on. Say good night to your son for the first time in five years." she said, turning to go into her own bedroom.
OOC: Since Mesaraih is the father, you can also control Hain, red. That makes it easier on you, so you don't have to wait for me to post a response to something you did or said.

Mesaraih bent down and kissed his son on the forehead. "Good night, son," he said. Then, with one last, long look, he left the room. He then followed Felecia into her room. "I can't believe it," he said. After so many years of suffering and so many failures in love, now I have a family. And it was all given to me in one day. I just can't believe it. This is the happiest day of my life," he said.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Once Serenity returned, she was own her knees and dropped Frostmourne...which was glowing brightly. Kuja walked over to her and stood over her. She is completely drained and once some one has experienced that.. it changes them. Sometimes for better...other for worse. "That will be enough for today." Kuja glanced over at Zana, "You should bring her inside."
Kuja turned away and gazed at Frostmourne laying on the ground.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Zana grimly nodded. She briskly walked to her daughters side, put one of her daughters arms on her shoulder, and slowly carried her into the house. She laid Serenity on the bed, covered her with a blanket, and placed a cool cloth on her forehead. The young Shade groaned, and tried to sit up, but Zana pushed her back down,"Lie down and rest. You need it after doing that with Frostmourne." Serenity seemed to sigh, then she relaxed and remained laying down, though her face looked anything but at rest. Her eyebrows met in a scowl, and her mouth was upturned in a frown. Zana pulled up a stool and sat by her daughter, worriedly taking her hand.
Serenity looked around. Where am I? Who am I? What am I? What am I doing here in the first place? These questions pounded against her skull, giving her a headache. She tried to peer into the everlasting darkness that surrounded her, to see anything, anything at all. But she couldn't see anything. She lifted her hand to her face. It could not have been more than two inches from her eyes, yet she couldn't see that either. Serenity lowered her hand. She hesitantly took a step forward. Her toe bumped painfully into something hard. From the metallic peel that emanated from it, she guessed it was probably something made from steel. She winced as her toe began to throb. Crouching down, she reached out with her hands to touch what her toe hit. Her hands touched something cold and hard. She tried to grasp it, but recoiled suddenly when the object cut her palm. To words jumped into her mind, and somehow she knew it would help ease the pain of her wound,"Waise heill." she murmured, passing her opposite hand over the gash. She felt a tingling sensation on her palm, and a moment later, it disappeared. The blood from her wound remained, but the cut itself had vanished. She cocked her head in wonderment. What had those two words done, she wondered. Shaking her head, she again approached the object. She touched the cold surface. It was long. She ran her right hand up the length of it, being careful not to cut herself again, and found something that felt like a place to actually hold it. From somewhere deep in her mind, she remembered what this object was called,"A sword," she breathed,"A lot of good that will do me, since it seems I can't see." as soon as she muttered those words, the swords hilt grew hot, and the blade turned cherry red. Serenity gasped and dropped the sword. A crude message was appearing on the metal. I am Frostmourne, use me how you will. She gasped and touched her eyes. How could she see this? She knew for a fact that she was blind, but somehow she could sense the words on the steel blade. A new message scrawled over the first. You can see again because you have received a gift called second sight. It's like seeing things with your mind, but then again not. Use this gift wisely. Serenity stepped forward and grasped the hilt, which had cooled, and lifted it closer. Swallowing hard, she whispered,"Where am I? Who am I? And why am I here?" Again, a third message appeared over the second. You are in a land of shadow, your name is Serenity, and you are here so you can pass the test. "Test? What test?" The test that all Shades must take. If you fail the test, you will forever wander here. There is only one way out, and that is passing the test. If you pass, you will be replaced in your world. Serenity's brow furrowed. My name is Serenity. It seems that I have to pass some test. And I'm a Shade, whatever that is, she thought. She focused on the blade,"What is a Shade? And what kind of test must I pass?" Shades are usually pleasant people with extraordinary powers. But some other people who are not Shades feel threatened, so in defense, they attack any Shade they see. You have your own power, but you must find it on your own. The second question I can't answer. The test differs from Shade to Shade. Serenity chewed on the inside of her cheek as she placed Frostmourne in her belt. She decided to explore while she could until her test came.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja could sense that Serenity was now undergoing the Trial of the Shade. He cursed under his breath. I should have realized that would happen after her occurance with Frostmourne. How will her mind go through two trials right next to each other? She wont be able to handle it. Kuja then sighed, nothing can be done however...she still has to face this alone. OOC- Kinda short

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: *shocked and pained expression* I can't believe what's happening to me. Two friends of mine played a supposedly funny joke on me and I got angry. I sent a rather nasty email to both of them, and now......One of my friends' mother told me to end our relationship. I know my email was nasty but, I never intended to lose her friendship. I treasure my friends, because I have so few. I had the right to be angry, but that doesn't mean.....oh, what am I going to do? When I read the mothers email just a few minutes ago, I almost started crying on the spot. She wants me to have no contact with her daughter, be it phone calls, emails, talking face-to-face, or any other way of communication. I..I can't function without my friends. Yes I have you guys but...that's just not the same. I already sent an email to the mother, but I have little hopes of it being read. Oh, D, red, Mor....WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? *crawls into a corner and hugs knees as tears start to flow* She's really the only friend I ever had, and now she might be gone...forever. *buries head in knees as body starts to shake from force of sobs* I know I sound like a big baby, but....

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
I'm really sorry to hear that DS...and please dont cry. Thats my weakspot with people (especially girls, especially that are my friends.) Well as for you're situation.... I can relate somewhat. I dont have a whole lot of real-life friends and I've dealt with jokes and pranks before. Course that was when I was younger. Most people leave me alone now...dunno why just the way it is. Anyways, stuff like this in life WILL happen. Its difficult to accept, but it will be hard to be friends with the person forever. Life will seperate them eventally. Unless you really push it that is. If she was a really good friend and I mean a REALLY good friend. Try to make up with her. However if she is a friend of desperation or friend with a condition. Just let it go..
I know I'm not much help... Ive been a loner my entire life.
I just want you to know though that I support you in any way possible. If you want to talk more just let me know.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: *wipes tears away* I know. I've just known her for a while, so it's kinda hard. *sighs* She was a good friend, but...A friend that plays mean jokes on you? I mean, the joke she played on me? SO not funny. If she does that, maybe she never was my friend at all. *sighs again* Thanks D. In the little bit of time I've known you, you've been a better friend than she ever was. You actually listen to me if I have something to say. She on the other hand, she preferred to hear herself talk. She didn't really listen to me. I know I probably get on your nerves sometimes, but that's normal, I think. 13 yr old gets on the nerves of a 17 yr old? Yeah, I call that normal.lol You to red, mor. Both of you put up with me. *laughs* I remember in "Love...maybe", that I was always worried I would got on everyones nerves. Though I never saw any indication that you guys got irritated with me. Not even from Erais! Guess I worried my head off for nothing, uh?lol
Whoa, 40 pages? Eh-gads. have we really come that far in this story? It seems like we started so long ago, yet in another way, it feels like we just started this thread yesterday. Funny.

OOC .::. yeah, I pretty much just agree with what Daidrea said. she doesn't really sound like a good friend, but if you really want to still be friends with her then there will always be a way for you two to make up.

OOC: She doesn't sound like the type of person I'd want as a friend. But anyways, you getting on my nerves?! I would think that it would be the opposite way. You have NEVER gotten on my nerves. If I had a younger sister, I think she'd be you. You are more mature than most 15+ year olds I know. Recently I've been saying to myself, "Say goodbye to the past, and hello to the future." In doing so it may mean losing a friend or two on the way, but later in life it will be worth it. I'm very much a lone wolf, and have only a few true friends who I would confide in. So if you can make a few trust worthy friends your goal then everything should turn out perfect. Did I really talk that much?! Sorry if it didn't make any sense.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: Thanks guys. And girl.lol I found out something today from the other friend of mine. ASHLUND (my first friend) NEVER EVEN LIKED ME. My other friend said that when Ash's mother told her she couldn't speak to me at all, she said,"YES!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!". I was dumbstruck. More than that, I was shocked to the core. I've known Ash for almost a full yr or 2, and then I find out SHE NEVER EVEN LIKED ME?! When I read that....I almost died. I really, almost died, right then and there. I didn't even see it. To me, it felt like we had made a connection....I guess I was wrong. Big time. Oh, I could pummel her face in! She hurts me with the prank, and then this?! Why didn't she just break it off before I ever went to her house? Which I did. Actually, I went to her house like one or two days before she pranked me. It's like....she only wanted to be friends with me so she could get a good laugh. Because I'm so freaking gullible. You know what? The heck with Ash! Sure I knew her for a long time, but she wasn't ever my true friend. My true friends are here, on SF.
Still, it hurts that I can't talk to her at all. It might be better that way, but that doesn't lessen the hurt any.
And are you sure I NEVER got on your nerves, Mor? Ever? Not even the tiniest bit?

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: You NEVER EVER get on my nerves. How could you get on my nerves, when I'm probably getting on yours sometimes. Even when people aren't true friends, and don't really like us it's hard to be rejected by them. I know from experience. One of my friends who used to be my best friend, is now only my great friend because someone else rejected me. Our friendship hasn't been as good as it used to be since we met the other person.
Anyways... I'm starting school back on Monday, and we have to have our power off from 3 to 8 pm so I won't be able to get on as much. Oh yeah, sorry if Elfrida's annoying Kuja, Daidrea, but that's how she is.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: You getting on my nerves? HA! I'd like to see that. It takes a lot to get me irritated. I have a three yr old brother (whom Daidrea knows of. ask him for details) around the house, so I have to have patience. A LOT of patience. Believe me, if a three yr old can't get under my skin, almost nothing will.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
I'm so sorry to be the bearer of bad news here guys, and DS I am so sorry, its terrible to made fun of, exspecially by someone you call a friend, but please pm eachother instead of on this topic? Don't hate me, I'm not being mean, just doing my job? By experience, I'd say ignore them and show them you are happy just like you are. If people play mean jokes, it is to make themselves feel better, I feel so sorry for someone who has to hurt another for pleasure, and I am so sorry for your being hurt, I will back out and stop butting into convos sorry again.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: *sheepish grin* Sorry. I'll do that in the future.
IC: Serenity stepped forward, squinting against the darkness. She thought she saw a shadow ahead. It looked like a person, but she couldn't be sure. She unsheathed Frostmourne, holding it ready with both holds. The shadow came closer. Serenity tensed as a twig snapped. Now the figure had eyes; two burning amber holes in it's head. She saw a mouth open, and a cracking voice say,"It's time." she understood what it meant, and sheathed her blade. The creature extended a hand for her to take, and she reached to take the hand. She stopped as a odd feeling came over her. It didn't feel right to take this creatures hand. She didn't know why, but it just didn't feel right. Serenity backed away from the creature, shaking her head,"No, this doesn't feel right. How do I know your not trying to trick me?" she asked, casting her gaze around for means of escape. The creature nodded, and suddenly the space around her was filled with other shadows, but these shadows looked like warriors. And very well trained ones, too. Like a striking snake, one of them lunged at her. Driven by instinct, she raised her marked palm and barked,"Deyja sundavar!" the shadow stopped in it's tracks, shuddered violently, then dispersed into smoke. Drawing her sword, she jumped to the right, slashing at another shadow. It uttered a shriek, then became light, and was absorbed into Frostmourne's jeweled hilt. Serenity didn't think about what she did, she just acted and reacted. Soon, all the shadows were either dead by her spells, or absorbed in Frostmourne's jewel. She was panting hard by the time she faced the previous shadow that had called the warrior shadows. It now had a very sharp blade made of darkness. The shadow advanced upon her, slowly becoming more than just a shadow. It had a face. It was smooth and unlined by age. Though Serenity could tell it was ancient by the deep sage eyes, which spoke untold tales of love, hate, betrayal, and sadness. She lowered her blade and regarded him with interest. He did the same. His sage eyes bore into her hazel ones, making her immobile. Then he opened his mouth,"This is your test. Do what you think is right in our battle, and do not hesitate to do it." his voice crackled, causing her to shudder. She lifted Frostmourne again. So did he. He lunged at her right. She made to block, but he spun to the left and sliced her on the thigh. She cried out and clutched the wound. Eyes burning, Serenity reached her mind into the jewel on Frostmourne. Energy, boundless energy, raced through her. Grinning, she leaped into the air, spun, and landed behind her opponent. She sliced him from his right shoulder to his left hip. He cried out. Crimson tears leaked from the wound. Blood dripped from her sword. He whirled around and caught her on the arm. She grit her teeth. Reaching deep into herself, she breached the barrier that kept her from her spell energy. Raising a hand, she barked,"Malthinea!" he froze.
OOC: And to read the rest, you must wait for my next post.lol Sorry I took so long D. By the time I got off WoW, it was to late to get on SF.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: Lets keep this going!!
Kuja sighed to himself as he remained outside. The sun was setting, and darkness began to fill the sky. A harsh cold wind began to pick up...giving Kuja chills. He was really worried about Serenity, she was going under the trial of the Shade. It was a very tough test given to Shades at a certain age. Many times they do not survive. There was nothing he could do but wait and hope.
He paced around, anxiety was getting the better of him. Finally he decided to go inside and check on her. As he walked in he saw Zana sitting beside her...watching intently.
"You should get some rest...you havent had any since youve been training her."

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: *grumbles* You had to restart it just as I was going away, didn't ya? I'm going away for 2 weeks, and no computer access either.IC: Zana looked up as Kuja entered into the room,"I could not sleep with my daughter undertaking the Trial of the Shades." she looked away and down at her daughter's now deathly pale face, which was drawn in a fierce frown. The words she spoke next came haltingly,"I remember my Trial. I barely survived with my life. I have many scars, and not all of them are physical. I shudder at the memory." she whispered, her expression pained. She touched her left forearm lightly, wincing as her fingers ever so gently traced the sensitive scar.OOC: Short, but my brain is on the frits. Oh, speaking of which, D, my cell phone is on the job again. You can now text me.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja sighed, "You will not be able to tend to her after she wakes up then having no energy to do so." Zana looked at him, she wasnt giving a glare, but staring with a sad face. I never really was good handling emotions... "Very well...I'll stay in here and sleep. Wake me if something happens." Kuja leaned against the wall and slid to the floor. His legs were fully extended out and his arms rest on his lap. His head tilted down slightly, letting his long hair cover it slightly.
In his sleep, Kuja's face was completely relaxed, unlike when he was awake...

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
OOC: Ello! I'm back!
IC: Zana grimaced at Kuja's words, knowing that they were true. She noticed that several wounds had appeared on Serenity's body, and quickly staunched the blood flow, then tended to her injuries. After she had finished, she reluctantly lay down on a hard cot beside her daughter. Within moments, she was out cold.
Serenity regarded the ancient man before her with cold eyes. He did the same with a gentle gaze. Sweat trickled down her back and temple as she panted hard. She lifted Frostmourne, then dropped it again. She couldn't decide what to do. He would of killed her, given the chance. But she couldn't bring herself to kill him in cold blood, with him unable to defend himself. Sheathing her blade, she spoke in a soft tone,"I have never killed in cold blood, nor have I attacked anyone that couldn't defend themselves. I will not take your life simply because I can." she released him from her binding spell. He stepped forward, his blade of darkness disappearing. "You are wise for a Shade so young. I remember when your Mother was tested. She was a fiery little thing, but she made the same decision as you. You have passed the Trial, Serenity. Wisdom, Kindness, Mercy, and Protectiveness are some of the main keys for a fine warrior, and Dragon Rider. And I warn you now, young one, if you ever pursue the road of your True Name, it will be a dangerous route. Farewell, Serenity. May we meet again." he said, his body fading until complete darkness engulfed her. Awareness spiked through her as her many wounds shrieked in outrage. Her eyes popped open and she bolted upright, breathing hard. She scrambled her hands next to her, then breathed a sigh of relief as her right hand came in contact with Frostmourne's hilt. Her vision remained the same as in the Land of Darkness, seeing yet not seeing. Her gaze settled on her poor Mother, who was fast asleep beside her. She sensed more than saw Kuja in the room, and knew that he would know she was awake, since he was probably a light sleeper. Serenity moaned as the deep gash on her thigh throbbed in unison with her heart. She slid a hand down to touch the wound. Her healing caress soothed the painful ache, but did not heal the gash. Her new vision quickly adjusted to the dim light, and now she could see shapes and shadows throughout the room. She felt Iberina's mental touch, and was calmed by her thoughts.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Kuja sleeping peacefully when he heard something in the room. He opened his eyes and looked up and saw Serenity awake. Quickly getting up, he went over to her and checked on her. He was silent at first and he was checking for any noticable damage. She seemed to handled it herself. Kuja sighed and sat down in a chair next to her bed. Even though she was healed, he asked anyway.
"Are you alright?"
It felt akward for Kuja at that moment. Obviously he had mixed and confused feelings for Serenity. Due to the situation though, it would be wrong to get into a relatonship with her while he was still teaching her. Not to mention just coming out of the one with Felecia. Kuja just didnt know what to do.

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
"A little sore, but none the worse for wear." she grimaced, still massaging her thigh," My wounds are refusing to heal with my touch. The pain lessens, but they won't close." she said. Her finger nail caught part of the already formulating scab, sending lightning bolts of pain up her spine and into her skull. Her breath hissed through her clenched teeth,"I take the "a little sore" back. I feel like I was through hell, and my mind isn't much better," she growled. "I've changed though. When I was first in the Land of Darkness, I couldn't see a thing. Then I gained an ability called "Second Sight". Look at my eyes. Am I really blind? Or is this...ability, not visible to the eye? I don't feel any different, but that doesn't mean anything." she said, fear dancing around the edges of her voice. She looked up into Kuja's face, able to see it better then she had before; with more clarity and sharpness. Her eyes were a warm hazel, just as before, though her pupil was completely gone, swallowed by the iris.
OOC: Thought I would give it a twist.lol

Re: The Sorrowful Exile
Without hesitation, Kuja healed up the rest of her wounds the best he could. he sighed slightly from the drain of energy. Typical... the Trial of the shades took more out of him than he realized. The wounds one would recieve were not normal. When Serenity mentioned what happened with her eyes, he inspected her closely. Then he sat back down and briefly explained. "After you under go the trial and survive, your attributes are highlighted and your abilities are enhanced." She still looked confused. He sighed again and akwardly said, "To put it bluntly you look physically nicer...umm not just your face, but everywhere else." He looked in another direction. "The other thing is basically you are now stronger."
OOC:Added my own twist. Magical puberity. Bwahaha
