 Elfen Lied!!!The manga, before you move this. Unless it belongs somewhere else anyway.
AAAANYWAY I finished reading it just now and it is absolutely amazing... It's not even improvable in my opinion... I would say on a scale of 1-10, the anime rated 10/10, absolutely brilliant. The manga on the other hand picks up the scale, spits in it's face, laughs at it mockingly and tears it to shreds with it's vectors. I mean, woooah, the anime made me feel happy/sad/angry/amused at times, but all of these feelings were amplified with the manga. All of these feelings were real. I'm probably overreacting but I would go as far to say that it impacted my outlook on life, about things such as discrimination and morality. I think it's an essential read, Elfen Lied fan or not, anime fan or not, manga fan or not, fan of reading or not, P.S: Not due to the violence, rather due to the emotional moments and depressing parts, it isn't for the weak of heart... P.P.S: Contains nudity, but only as much as the anime, so if you can handle that, you can handle this. PM me if you want me to send you a copy, I have all 107 chapters translated and in great quality. |

Personally, I thought the manga was better. Like, seriously. Never watched an anime before this. Watch the anime first, it introduces you to the story and it is excellent in all aspects. The manga is about 29 thousand times better. It starts out a little slow, because you're like 'yeah, seen this already on the tele' but then the detail kicks in and it starts getting quite interesting.
