Keia opened one eye to watch Xelin after he broke the connection, smiling gently when she saw his breathing deepen. She laid her head on her paws and let sleep take her as well.

Morning came much to quickly, the suns rays streaming in through the windows and lighting up the whole Stable. She grunted as one of those light beams fell across her eyes, jarring her awake. She blinked rapidly, then lifted her head and yawned wisely, showing her collection of dagger-sharp teeth. She blinked a few more times, still trying to dispel the sleep from her eyes. She looked across to Xelin, noticing he was still asleep, unless her was a good faker. She grinned and set he head on he paws to wait for him to wake.

OOC: Ok, I guess a recon mission would be simple enough...and sorry it's taken me so long to post, I'ma bit busy

Xelin had been awake for some time now, thanks to a dream he had. It hadn't been a nightmare exactly, but it still woke him up. He had laid in his stall with his eyes closed but not asleep until he saw the faint light of early morning come threw a window. He cracked an eye open when he heard Keia shift. He gently touched the gem at his paw. "Good morning..." He said pleasantly.

Keia nodded in acknowledgment, laying her head on her paws and watching him.

Xelin sighed and laid his head on his paws, and took a light nap for the next hour. When it was time for his to go, he stood and left the stables and exited the castle itself before he took to the air. With a single jump and a beat of his wings he was in the air. Within a few more beats he had gain enough altitude, so he angled himself in a random direction and started his patrol

Keia curled her lip up in a growl/snarl, her eyes flashing. Let me handle this. This village is always at odds with its own residents. This won't take more than twenty minutes. Just circle above the village until I take off again. she instructed shortly, then pulled in her wings and entered into a steep dive. She roared once to let them know of her presence, small tendrils of flame flickering around her exposed teeth. The villagers scattered, retreated to their divided areas and glaring at the others. She snarled and spread her wings, backpedaling several times until she touched down at a standstill. She folded her wings primly, arching her neck back proudly as her tail hovered just above the ground, silently waving a bit back and forth. Alright. What is it this time? she snapped harshly, glaring around her. At her clipped tone the villagers cowered, though a few round-ear-twolegs detached themselves from the rest to signify themselves as the leader of that group. No one answered her. Well? she snarled, peeling her lips back to hiss venomously.

You can control the 'leaders', since you kind of introduced them.

Keia watched through her Heart as Xelin went to the King. When he 'informs' you of my presence, make sure to act at least a little bit of surprise. she whispered quickly, just loud enough for him to hear, then she fell silent, shielding her mind from the Eldunarí so Galbatorix wouldn't be able to sense her at all.

The King pursed his lips and crossed his arms, studying the male black dragon before him,"You did well, from what I've been informed of. I ordered Keia to follow you, and she told me that you behaved. Good. Have you anything of importance to relay?" mused Galbatorix, his black gaze almost bored.

The King remained silent for a while, continuing to study Xelin with his intense black gaze. Then he nodded, lifting an arm to wave his hand in dismissal,"Very well. Go then; you are free to roam the Citadel if you desire. Though I would caution you to bring a guide with you, at least until you know the layout of my castle." he advised, his smile turning slightly sadistic.

Keia almost fell asleep, but she felt a disturbance in her chest. A strange, cold sensation that wrapped around her Heart. She shuddered. Very well. Take care of my Heart, Xelin. Protect it from the Empire. she said. She felt as though she should say more, but she didn't know what to say.

OOC: This'll be my last one...unless you had any ideas...like Galby finding out Xelin ran and sending a search/retrieval party?

Xelin didn't respond; he knew that she knew he would. He knew that he wouldn't be able to get to the islands in one day, so he flew toward the Spine. Plus, he needed to sleep since he didn't the night before. He reached the Spine in relatively short amount of time. He landed in a clearing and settled down for the night, knowing he would have a rather long trip ahead of him.

Keia sighed in content, watching from her Heart where Xelin flew. She let whispers of her strength flow into him as he fell asleep, in gratitude for the service that he had done for her. She didn't know how she could ever properly thank him for 'rescuing' her. She felt his awareness slipping into rest and away from reality, so she acted. She crept into his mind, soothing around the edges to let him recover without disturbances. Thank you.... she whispered into the recesses of his mind. He wouldn't remember her presence when he woke. She smiled, just a simple quirk at the corner of her mouth, then curled up into a tighter ball. Time for both her, and Xelin, to enjoy these peaceful moments.
