 Temeraire seriesThis series takes place in the Napoleonic era as France and Britain are at war. Valiant warriors rise to Britans defense and take to the skies. Not in aircraft but atop flying fighting dragons.
Book 1: His Majesty's Dragon Book 2: Throne of Jade Book 3: Black Powder War Book 4: Empire of Ivory Book 5: Victory of Eagles(?) will be released in june of 2008 I started reading these not to awfully long ago and the moment i started i got into them right away and i was wondering if anyone here has read them and if so what they thought about them. Re: Temeraire series wow. I didn't know there was a fifth book coming out. I thought it ended at the fourth.

Re: Temeraire series Oh wow I can't believe I only just found this topic. I love this series; it's one of my favorites! Temeraire is one of my favorite fictional characters, I love him!
 And for anyone who might be interested: the sixth book in the series is coming out soon. Re: Temeraire series Yeah, it just came out (much to my surprise). I was wandering around Borders, looking for books, and all of a sudden Tongues of Serpents caught my eye! I couldn't believe it was out already! So of course I bought it and finished it a couple weeks ago. It's pretty good. Not quite as good or action-packed as the other books, but some important stuff happens that I believe is leading up to something awesome.

Re: Temeraire series wow. I have got to get that book. I have the first one on my shelf, but I have read the others, and I have to get the rest of the books. It's a habit... collecting books...
