Hey I really think that there should be dragons because they are so cool

ya agreed. it may be cool for there to be dragons and stuff, but i would like to live without the worries of a dragon flying over my house and burning it down.

It would be awsome if dragons werew real but we would have to get fire proof wood for buildings.

and fireproof skin. and grass. and plants. which there are no such things as.i would rather just live without having dragons flying and eating my head off.

oh, i don't think so. it depends completely on your view of dragons. me, i think they are powerful, majestic, and intelligent. others believe that they are vicious, mindless monsters that kidnap damsels and pillage villages and steal jewels. but, since i believe they are noble creatures that have intelligence, i think it would be amazing to have dragons here. then i could meet a blue girl named Saphira and become friends with her. but you probably guessed that already.

Well they would be inteligent but whats stoping them from still "kidnap damsels and pillage villages and steal jewels" as you put it. We are inteligent but we still have people who do that and if you put dragons in the picture not all will but the ones who do will cause mass distruction. So still no dragons for me.

but dragons are run by a law higher and more powerful than these rules we have here. they live by what their heart tells them and what's right. to quote Saphira : "The only true guide is your heart. Nothing less than it's supreme desire can help you."

You are only going off of the way the dragons are inthe inheritance seris. But if all dragons were like that and not one was bad then no problem let them be real but sense every thing has flaws. No dragons

Saphira does have a flaw her pride, it can be a flaw if taken to far.

um...i missed alot, but i do believe that Dragons should live here, and i do believe that they once covered this earth!

pride results in strength. strength results in victory. it's because of Saphira's pride in herself that she and Eragon are so successful in the first place.

BUt pride can also lead to arogance, the world has shown that before. So I still say no dragons would be to dangerous. Look at all the crazies in the world what would they do if dragons were here. Probly attack and try to kill them all. Sorry but I bet a missle and armor percing bullets could take down a dragon.

how do you know? scales, concerning basic physics and physiology, are among the hardest substances in the world. they protect our lizards very well. so who's to say that since dragons are extremely advanced lizards, they will have harder scales.

But Rien, the dragons could kill all those crazies that threaten our land. And war would be gone...i think. Mabey people would learn to believe that dragons can help us instead of kill us...Dragons aren't always mean, it depends on how you train them!

i-luv-saphira we have missles that can penetrate into mountains, bullets that go strait through tanks. I don't think dragons could survive in a war against us right now.

alot of people can say that you can train Dragons, you train them when they are young. And the crazies are crazies but eventually they all will die under the Dragons rath

That is the thing though if you could train dragons what is stopping the crazys from training them? I'm sorry but I still say no dragons in our world. They would be to big of a risk.

like I said before, dragons have a sense of right from wrong. their morality is a lot more advanced than humans. they are more intelligent. and they are magical. so, since they are magical creatures, they could probably sustain bullets and tanks without taking harm to their gorgeous scales.

Okay but they may be more inteligant but I still think that dragons good or bad is a bad Idea for your good and theirs. We would have millions of people trying to kill them and they would succede.

Aside from their scales and superior intelligence, dragons have two more advantages that no one is considering. They can fly and breathe fire. I pretty sure they are far more manuverable than any jet we humans can build. And if they were magical, they could make the missiles and bullets go right back at the ppl who fire them.

Just because they don't know the extent of their powers doesn't mean they can't use them if they are in need of them. Besides, they could probably breathe fire or something on them to make them explode before they reached them. And I have another suggestion... Second thought, I won't post it because I don't want to start an argument. I just can't see why ppl who don't think dragons should exist come into topics about dragons in real life and post. I know this one starts with "do you think" but if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. (Quoting one of my favorite movies, 'Bambie'.) Just don't come in topics like this if you think they didn't exist and shouldn't exist.

Okay Y'all, Y'all are basing ur facts off of what the authers in books say dragons are like. We couldn't really know how a real dragon would be unless some one created one (Like that will hapen). So I say if we don't know how they would act or what to expect no dragons.
Also I think that alot of people would be trying to kill those dragons. And dont say magic or thick scales. Magic for one (as far as I know) aint real and two the thick scalls couldn't hold up against our weapons now days. We have bullets that will go through tanks people!

I believe dragons did exist and should exist. As for the people who would hunt them down and kill them. Let them try...

No they shouldn't people would hunt them for the fun of it and who know our own government might decide that they are to big of a risk and have them hunted down.
THey would be a very powerful enemy and I dont think that all dragons would be nice.

especially if their unintelligent, they would be hunters and likely would hunt farm animals or people, not necessarily cus there evil, but because they're hungry.

Dragons would be nice,
but it could result in another jurassic park as all animals answer to their own instincts very strongly and not to mention some people would become very scared. There are people in the world who fear even pictures of Mythical creatures which could cause chaos.
so overall it would probably be best if they didnt.
Besides if they had existed since humans have. We prolly wouldnt think anything of it because we would be use to them. Just like if Tigers and lions all the sudden apeared some people would be very freightend and others would be thrilled to death.

It would be nice to have dragons, but as people mentioned they could be hunted by the goverment seeing them as a threat. I personally would like to have dragons. Only to many problems would arise, dragons are intelligent,magestic, and everything eles but you wouldnt be able to risk it with wars and ect.

I think it would be rather cool to have dragons in real life. However it wouldnt be long before someone came up with the bright idea to kill them off.

Hmm, i think, as far as i know, that the generic dragons are resistant to fire, and have extremely hard scales. Knowing this, all our weapons except nukes would be rendered useless. "Slaughtering a dragon" would be like cloning humans. Possible, but insanely hard.

really, having dragons in life would completely complicate everything. there would be more wars over them, some dragons might go on killling rampages etc.

No they aren't. They have souls and desires and a heart and mind, just like the rest of us. There is no difference between us and them except what's physical... and dragons have more of a moral sense than humans.

i agree. if dragons could be real, then i'd want them to be like Saphira. and i'd want a dragon just like her. or her. eithered suit me just fine. unfortunetly, they will likely never exist, and might not be good

I'm kinda crazy right now, but I'm not gonna show it. lol. And no, I don't think dragons are magical. I do, however, believe that there are intelligent dragons somewhere, or at least people who are reptilian and can fly and breath fire. But no, I don't believe in magical dragons.
