Hotel Rwanda, for obvious reasons.
Click, go ahead and laugh. If it ended differently I would have liked it better. Hollywood happy ending obsession. >.>

I know I've seen better ones than those two, but I can't think of them.... mind block >>

Ah, good =) I must not be crazy.
The first time, I thought it did end as it was zooming out into the sky.
And I was like " HOLEE &#&&#, Adam Sandler actually pulled off something non-stupid!"(That's exactly what I said:P) Missed opportunities, I tell you. If they made it for Cannes or what have you, it would have ended there. But Americans suck, so.... :P

Yes, Steel Magnolias is a good one...
I still have to see Pan's Labyrinth... >.>
Seven Pounds? That's the one with Will Smith?

Yeah, the one with Will Smith, he did something 'wrong' (can't exactly say what, it'd spoil the movie) and he then starts helping 7 random people.. It really is a moving thing, imho..

How the forest was getting ruined and he saved Mononoke yet got hurt ... it's in a beautiful-sad way ... plus the wolves ...

I've seen many sad movies, but usually Indian movies can get really emotional, especially a recent one called Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. That one made me.. lol forget it. You guys probably never heard of that movie anyway.

Let's see.. can't think of any real sad movies I've seen. Although the Avatar movie nearly made me cry at a few certain scenes.

Well yeah, I'd say it was pretty popular. It also won the award for best cartoon last year lol. I guess it wasn't that popular though, since Nick never shows it anymore.

I think somebody mentioned Pan's Labyrinth, that's a fantastic film, and so sad, but the saddest film I've ever seen is Rabbit Proof Fence, and not least because it's a true story.
Basically, it's a the true story of 3 little girls in Australia who are mixed race. It was the terrible time when people were trying to "breed out the half-castes" (makes me sick just typing it). Anyway, they took these girls by force from their mothers (2 were sisters and one was their cousin I think) and took them to this school type place on the other side of Australia. The girls ran away and walked 1500 miles across Australia following the rabbit proof fence back home.
I won't spoil the ending in case anybody wants to watch it, but there's more to it than that- if you watch the commentary at the very end by the real Molly Craig, and she says what happens after that. Made me cry.

It might've been me, Pan's Labyrinth is probably my favourite movie lol.

I haven't seen it, but no joke, this girl from school said that she tried out for a role but she wasn't dark enough for it.

A sad and excellent movie plus creepy to the max is Watership Down. It's a cartoon, but it's sick ... and amazing.

I think that The Notebook was very sad because Allie could not remember anything about her past with Noah. I'm not a fan of romantic movies but it was pretty sad.

It's about a girl who goes to live with her pregnant mom and stepdad in the mountains and she meets a faun and learns she's a princess and she has to survive three really ruthless tasks to go back to where she comes from and its like her little alternate reality. She has to deal with real life and all the horrible things that go on and its depicted in the tasks she does. Its really sad and has gruesome parts but well worth the watch.
It's also in spanish, English subtitles but no dubs.

It is usually books that make me cry. There have been a lot of them. As for movies, the last one I remember crying during was Prince Caspian at the end. The Pevensies leaving was sad.

It's rated R because it does have some violence in it and the little violence it does have is very very graphic and realistic. When I saw those parts I was literally sitting with wide eyes and an open mouth.

I'm not sure if this was the saddest movie I've ever seen, but it's the most recent and it was extremely heart-wrenching! Metropolis. It's anime, but it's EXTREMELY sad...I guess it's about a girl who finds out she's really a robot or something? idk but the end almost made me want to cry even though I don't cry during movies...

The Bridges of Madison County was really, really sad. Especially the part on the highway and of course, the end.

Lesee, I cried during Secret Saturdays: Target, Fiskerton (Don't look at me like that, I already know I'm a dork) I cried really really really bad at the end of King Arthur (2006) Sosososososososososososososososssoooo sad...*Cries some more* I got emotional pretty badly while watching Tristan and Isolde (So sad....) And, for a book that made me squall, I'd have to say that I did cry a lot during the "Huggle" scene in Ranger's Apprentice book four, as well as in book six because I'm just weird like that...XP I also cried with pleasure when I heard Hannah Montanna was OVER! *Does caramelldansen* ^?;

Sadest movie? Monocerous. It suck3d worse than anymovie youve ever seen. Or ever will see. and to think i waited a year for it and even have the original poster...

Monocerous was a movie about a rather stupid green unicorn statuette.
Eragon was sad in it's own way.
and i don't mean the ending.
Clerks... IDK why that was sad. It just was.

This film I watched called the Mist had a really sad ending caterpillar. Its kind of a horror movie but the ending was totally saddening

Spoiler--- There creatures in the mist and people have taken refuge in a supermarket. Towards the end of the film the main character, his son, new love interest (wife probably dead) and 3 other people decide to leave the supermarket and risk driving as far as possible to get out of the mist. They reach the car, and drive and drive until they run out of petrol and they still ain't clear of the mist. Then they stay in the car and heard a noise outside, thinking it was the creatures in the mist. The main protagonist takes out a gun with only 5 bullets left, and 1 by 1 shoots all of them in the car including his young son to stop them suffering a painful death and he gets out of the car. And guess what the noise was it was................................................... the army
So he just killed his own son for it to be the army and not a creature. I was shocked when I saw this film because I completely didn't expect it

Ugh. I hated The Mist, EragonDB. The ending was stupid, and it wasn't even the ending that was in Stephen King's story.

But the saddest movie I've ever seen, by far (I cry through like the whole thing) is The Cove. It's a documentary, a very, very, very good one, but it's sooooooo sad. :( But I love it. lol

THis sin't actually a movie but a TV show. There was one episode in this TV show called Merlin that made me cry. *tries to remember what it was* Oh yes, it was in episode 10 when Merlin says goodbye to Arthur. i'm so glad my sister was asleep. She would have never let me forget that I cried during it.

The Iron Giant. If this scene doesn't bring tears to your eyes, I think you've got issues. Just watch.

This scene from The Alamo is a real tearjerker too. For me, it's the part where they kill Jim Bowie and the brief scene immediately following it where it shows the guy hugging his dog as the Mexican soldiers close in. :t_cold:

Well, I won't say that this whole movie was sad but the opening scene of Star Trek (2009) was pretty sad.

I have to say either Marley and Me or Hachi. So sad. Owned a dog once and it was sad to see her go. Those type of dog movies are the only ones that can actually make me cry.
If I had to choose one of them I would say Hachi.

Looking past the red waves of life's blood, I see my life flash past the battle field. the bodies of the dead lay before me in anguish as I sat atop my dragon, staring into the grim eyes of death as I readied my sword for the final battle...

My friends think I'm heartless 'cause I didn't cry during Marley and Me. What they don't know was I was sobbing on the inside.

Gah! I hate that part on Land Before Time. :? It's as bad as when Bambi's mom dies.

I teared up watching Dear John last night. :(

I think it was worse. When Bambi's mom died we see Bambi grieve for a whopping ten seconds before they show a bunch of happy birdies flitting around, and then nobody ever mentions it again. When Littlefoot's mom died, it's like the next twenty minutes of the movie is devoted to Littlefoot grieving. Besides, I thought Littlefoot's mom was more awesome than Bambi's mom (being a dinosaur earns you extra "cool points") which made it worse for me when she dies. Why does my favorite character always have to die? :(

Because the movie companies get into your head before you ever even see the movie to determine which character is your fav, that way they know who to kill off to get the biggest emotional response.

It's the government's way of desensitizing us to death starting when we're very young.

...Lol, so that's my paranoid conspiracy-nut theory for the day. :D

I'm gonna go ahead and say it. If they haven't seen Titanic by now then that is their own fault.

I swear I saw Dumbledore twitch in the last scene when Harry was on the ground with him. He totally moved. I still cried anyway.

Meh, I can't really think of many, if any live action movies that have saddened me, all of the movies I've seen that are attempting to be sad haven't gone far enough into the feelings, they've just done the cliche thing of killing off characters that were important.
