 The LakesideJo was tired. She had been trekking from Daret following east along the Ninor River. She reached the edge of Isenstar Lake and had followed up northerly to the small stretch of land between the lake and Du Weldenvarden. She stopped to make a sort of camp on the banks of the lake. She took her spear off her back and took the bag that she carried off her shoulders. Soon after she had a small blanket spread and she sat on it, leaning her head back and placing her arms behind her head. Re: The Lakeside Zeei crouched on an outcrop of rock, observing the stranger. Curiousity had led her to follow this girl out here, wondering who she was. The oddest thing had happened though. Zeei noticed in the moonlight that thick strands of her hair waltzing by her face had flushed a differest colour, kinda brown with a tint of red and a tinge of gold. Like a bronze. The other thing was her tail was snowy white apart from when it moved, like it was made of silver. Her ears too, as she had noticed earlier in a puddle of water. Something had changed.
She watched the figure. Zeei was going to attack ... _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo was completely silent. Something about the air suddenly tasted wrong. There was a thicker feeling, something that seemed more like foul blood rather than a small welcome. She could do no more than wait for what was going to happen.

Re: The Lakeside Zeei fell silently into the sand, standing upright to observe the stranger infront of her. She was going to attack, but she wanted as much information as she could get first, of course. This one seemed like an abnormal individual.

Re: The Lakeside Jo kept her eyes closed and whispered, "Who are you to ask for my name?". Her fingers twitched and her hand moved softly over the cloth of the blanket under her, palms caressing the fabric. Her mind was already planning.

Re: The Lakeside Zeei crossed her legs and sat lightly in the sand, perhaps about fifty or so feet away from the stranger. She was waiting for her to rise from her bed and face her properly.
"Well," Zeei said aloud, "no one really. I am no one." Her ear twitched slightly from the cold. "I don't even know if the name I bear is my real one." She wrote her name in the sand with her fingertip, just to examine it under the moonlight. "Zeei," she whispered, tapping her fingers together while her silvery tail swept the sand like a paintbrush ... _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo could hear the light whisper of her name. Her supposed name. "One does not need to know their name... yet simply to claim it as their own. Perhaps, acknowledge that they are someone. Someone worthy of a name. Isn't that truly what a name is? A title?" She whispered still, appreciating her finetuned hearing. She still did not open her eyes, it was easier to taste the air when she couldn't see anything.

Re: The Lakeside Zeei looked up at the stranger, cocking her head at her words. Zeei was truly just her title ... like she said. Maybe uncovering a real title given to her by someone special would make her feel more worthy of one, but it was alright. What did she care about something as useless as a name anyway?
This stranger just tuned up her interesting qualities. Zeei crawled forward over the sand, the wind that washed over the water of the huge, twinkling lake brushing through her now bronzed hair. She waited for it to die down and place the atmosphere in serenity again. Zeei crawled so close to the stranger that she was basically right above her, running her eyes over her structure and face. She was quiet enough to barely be heard at one stage, until the wolf-fox-girl whispered; "Tell me your title then ... tell me who you are ..." _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo heard the other girls soft whisper just above her. She didn't flinch, she didn't react, she simply did nothing. Didn't even move her fingers. She thought a moment. What reason would she have to share her name? Would the young girl attack? She still had that different aura about her. She finally moved her right arm, checking so she could still feel the cloth of her cloak wrapped around it. Her left arm was bare and her hair still covered her left eye, hiding her scar. She began to think harder and finally subsided in what she whispered next, "Jo. My name- my title is Jo." She opened her eyes slightly to study the young girl above her. Her expression didn't change. It held the steady look of apathy on it that she often wore.

Re: The Lakeside Zeei's pupils contracted as she gasped. In a blur, she retreated somewhere near the water, flattening her body and ears in her shock, her lips parted slightly. Her tail dabbed at the lapping, icy water as she shivered, her heart thrumming.
She lifted her head a bit, the moonlight beaming from behind her, setting her figure as a dark silhouette. Several strands of bronzed hair fell over her eyes as she watched the stranger with a fascinated mien. Zeei felt her tail twitch ... "Jo," she whispered, her eyes softening. There was something that clicked. Some several gears that were pacing through her veins. There was something ... one thing? More things. "Jo," Zeei repeated. Her eyes sharpened, her lips drew back to reveal fangs of the wolf that deformed her. "I'm going to kill you, Jo ..." _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo smirked slightly. She had expected surprise, but not to see the young girl practically jump ten feet in the air and land nearly with her hind end in the water. It was actually rather funny, but she didn't chuckle. Her last few words took care of that, but not the smirk.
"Heh. More training for me I guess. Might as well get up now." She moved her right arm up and placed it steadily on the blanket covered sand. Then she swiftly pushed off the ground with her left leg and swung her right leg around off the blanket and slid partially over to where her spear was. She picked it up with her right hand and stood up, looking at Zeei through her eyelashes. "Perhaps you could... entertain me for the night?" She smiled. Re: The Lakeside Zeei watched hungrily for the fight, licking her teeth as she tried not to breathe too fast. She pulled herself upwards, bare feet sinking into the sand. She kept her head inclined towards the ground, examining the grains of sand that sailed emptily across the beach in the light wind.
Jo was staring her down. This will be fun. The world was in slow motion, that's how fast Zeei moved, a blur, unable to be caught. She halted right behind Jo, two icy hands upon her opponent's shoulders, rubbing them just slightly as if to consult her. A chilly gust of wind cleansed the two, bronzed hair streaming in front of both of them. Zeei's lips were at Jo's ear, her throaty breathing. "Oh ... what an entertained night this shall be," Zeei murmured, the moonlight a silver glimmer in her eyes. _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo didn't flinch, she didn't blink, she didn't even react. There was no doubt in her mind that Zeei could run, but she didn't run fast enough to scare her. Her mind didn't even fire up like it should. There was no flood of questions searching dearly for answers.
She turned slowly in a deliberate manner. It would drive the girl crazy. Jo could feel the intense power of Zeei's hunger for blood to be drawn and she wasn't afraid. She turned in such a slow manner that the other womans hands floated unsurely just above her shoulder blades and hung midair for a few seconds. "I think you just might be right," Jo said quietly. Re: The Lakeside Zeei fished through Jo's gaze, trying to unravel all the knots set before her. Why wasn't she afraid? Why wouldn't she react? She appeared unbreakable, invincible. Zeei felt a funny emotion she'd never felt, like awe and fear but this desire to prove herself better. She would stand over her opponent in triumph. She would untie the mystery of herself ... her victim is going to play this game, correct? Zeei always won at this game. After all, it was her game; no one else's. She would win. It'd be so much fun to, Zeei was already impatient.
Zeei crouched down low, blinking up at Jo through her bronzed fringe while hugging her knees. Her fanged grin gleamed as her tail wagged slowly over the sand; silky and downy. "You're not afraid of me," Zeei acknowledged innocently, her frenzied eyes skipping between Jo's against her silhouette. "Why aren't you scared of me?" she whispered. "Look at me ... look ... can you see? Be afraid ... you're meant to ... Stone can be afraid too ... come on ... Fear me. React to me." Zeei's tail continued to wag slowly as the elf-girl blinked up at Jo. _________________

Re: The Lakeside "Its a good thing that I'm not stone then... isn't it?" Jo smiled slightly. She was still so tired, but Zeei really wanted a fight and Jo wasn't one to back down. She looked downward at Zeei, acknowledging something in her memory banks.
She still wasn't afraid even after the girl had spoken her ill-willed words. "I am to be afraid of a being who does not even trust their own name?" She whispered, "If you do not trust in something that was given to you, or chosen for you or by you... then how are you to defeat me in any fair way? There is no fear-none- toward someone who does not even trust themselves. So tell me, why would I fear you?" She had stopped smiling, she had lost the will to smile, it seemed like so much work to her. Keeping up the blunt and discreetly vague wall that she held. Re: The Lakeside Zeei's tail stopped wagging as her eyebrows angled into a frown. She rose to her full height, her lips drawn back slightly. "No one trustworthy gifted me with this name. I don't care nevertheless."
Zeei rounded Jo in a streak of colour, claws protruding from her hands. She didn't smile either, the pain in Jo would make it easier. "Come on, don't bore me," she hissed between her wet, glistening fangs. "Not scared of me because I don't necessarily feel for my name? That sounds like one pitiful excuse. I don't trust myself? Well, as far as I know, that wasn't written in the manuscript ..." Zeei snarled, the wind unsnarling her hair again. She rose her left hand, the heavily clawed one. Her tail lashed. "You should tell me,"--she slashed once--"a bedtime,"--she slashed again--"story." Two rips, shoulder to hip each and crossing over eachother in an X shape were caused by Zeei's single claw. They were only scratches, but Jo's blood budded from them through the tears in her shirt. Zeei rushed back towards the dune near the water where she'd hidden earlier. She flattened herself, tail wagging slightly as she watched. Come get me ... _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo winced slightly as Zeei's claw connected with her flesh. It wasn't painful enough to slow her down however. She smiled a full fledged smile and quietly said, "Just the fact that you attacked me because I said that, proves that I am correct... even the fact that you called that a pitiful exuse." Jo chuckled it was all quite laughable, even the fact that she was tired. She could read Zeei fairly well, it was high time to show her power as well. "You want a bedtime story," She unlatched the buckle where her cloak connected, "Then why don't you," She pulled the cloak from her shoulder with ease, "Listen to this." She tossed the cloak to the left and revealed the scar of flames along her right arm.
"If you want this so much, why do you run to the dunes like a coward? Face me like a real warrior. Or are you the one who's afraid?" She unhooked her spear from the brace that she wore on her forearm and tossed it toward her cloak. Her spear twisted in her hand as she gave it a small flick. It twirled over around by her calf and missed it by a few inches, but she wasn't worried about hitting herself. Re: The Lakeside The silver glinted in the moon's glare as Zeei continued to wag it. Her hair burnished a red and gold against her pale skin. Her eyes softened when she saw the scars, like flames had lapped up the girl's arm. Scars ... from a past. A past that must've been so different from Zeei's; a past like something she couldn't turn back time to experience for herself. Jo must've had something there. Something ...
"I'm not afraid ..." Zeei whispered, inclining her head. "And I'm not a coward. I just like to view you from a distance." There was another blur, a streak of shadow. She was was right infront of Jo, grasping the collar of her tunic with one hand. Slowly, the wolf-fox-girl raised her victim into the air, veins distinguishable, tresses of thick hair scooped up and brushing to the side as the wind changed direction. Zeei watched her hanging in the air above her, under her own might, her lips tugging back into a smile. Is this close enough, bastard ... ? She threw Jo straight over her shoulder towards the lake water again, already walking towards her before she landed in the lips of the water where they kissed the shore. Zeei's hair gushed to the side again. First speed ... now strength ... _________________

Re: The Lakeside She saw the water coming before she landed, so she placed her knee out in front knowing the landing would be blunted. Wet but blunted. She didn't feel any pain when her knees slapped the surface so she immediately stood up and flicked her spear up out of the water, taking note of the splash. The coward comment had gotten her going at last. She'd seen the smile that Zeei had made when she threw her, but she still wasn't afraid. She still hadn't even begun to fight. She'd let Zeei do all the attacking, for all Zeei knew she had peacefully approached the fight without initiating it.
"View me from a distance? What am I? A painting?" Jo smirked and watched as Zeei skulked foreward. She twisted around and sliced at the water with the head of her spear, holding the other end with her left hand. It sent the water in a small slicing wave just instants before Jo mentally magicked it into ice shards, sharp as glass. They flew at Zeei's face and momentarily blinded her as the glass-like particles sliced at her body like it was gossamer thin. In that moment Jo, took off around the shards, running toward Zeei. The girl certainly didn't expect her to run around and attack her even while the shards were flying at her. Jo stopped just behind her back and whispered in her ear, "Thats perfect." She slammed the end of her spear into Zeei's back sending her even deeper into the ice, and Jo flicked the head of her spear across Zeei's back, slicing the soft skin along her back. Re: The Lakeside The Elven experiment fell on her hands and knees in the shallowest part of the lake. Her lips were parted slightly as she watched globules of her own blood bespatter the water, tainting it. She could feel it trickling down her waist too, an uncomfortable warm feeling. Her tail drooped in the water as she dabbed some of the blood from around her cheek, the ice shards had only managed that one part of her face, luckily, for she had dodged the rest. They weren't bad cuts, like more of a warning the ice could do better.
Zeei wasn't much of a magic user, for all she knew. But Jo was. Jo had the upperhand. No magic can't beat magic. "You hurt me," Zeei murmured. "You hurt me ..." She turned back to Jo, grinning toothily, her eyes glimmering silver against her own black silhouette. "Haha ... ! You hurt me ..." Zeei rose to her feet, tall, her shoulders back and her head cocked. A shadow, for the moon cleansed that which was behind her. Her hair was gathered in the wind, yet again. And then, her face softened, her eyebrows relaxing. "You should try again." For the first time that night, Zeei's face was serious. Blank. She knew Jo most likely wouldn't fight, more wait for her to attack. But Zeei had two plans scribbled before her. Either way, Jo was caught in a dead end. _________________

Re: The Lakeside Her eyes were cold. Jo could feel the annoyance showing through her eyes at that moment. It didn't bother her too much. She just kept the apathetic and decided to counter anything that would come at her. Zeei had sounded offended as she lay in the water, murmuring the same phrase. It was almost pathetic, but Jo knew better. She was tempted to turn and grab her things to walk away. She didn't feel like fighting, but she knew that as a weakness and decided to hold her ground.
Zeei had finally grown serious. It had been about time. She had realized that Jo wasn't normal prey. Nor prey at all, really. Predator ran in her veins and she wasn't afraid to release that. She would if need be. Jo scratched her right forearm, along the middle of her scar. "Try again? Bring it on then." She was prepared. Zeei still didn't know half of what she could do and Jo still wasn't afraid. "Didn't expect magic, did you? Don't worry theres a lot more going on here." Jo let her face grow serious as well. She turned back into the calm rock that hid her so well. Her familiar apathy. Re: The Lakeside Zeei twisted her mouth; amused, but not smiling. Her tail lashed once, like a cat about to pounce and she cocked her head. "You're an interesting one, did you know?" she breathed, her eyes angling. "You'd rather just get the job done." Zeei's eyes softened as she peered tenderly through her fringe at Jo. She tapped her fingers, instinct clicking into its rightful place.
One ... two ... three ... four ... The wind gushed past, images stretching to the left and right. Zeei was directly in front of her opponent in what seemed like nano seconds. She didn't look a Jo when she was only perhaps a foot away, her ears in a neutral position as she rearranged the cuff of her tunic. "I know you'd rather not fight." Zeei raised her gaze to meet Jo's briefly while tapping her temple with a single finger. "Intinct," she explained befor returning her attention to the cuff of her sleeve. "No one's directing you to fight though. Of course ... I'd get bored, but I'd still get over these bothersome cravings to kill you." She sighed. "Either way, you can choose. I'm generous like that ..." In an instant, all Zeei had to was ram Jo hard in the stomach with a fist, sending her flying many feet back into the sand. She watching her land, her eyebrows lowering with a small, soft smile upon her face. _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo landed against the sand and pushed up with her arms. Sitting there watching the ground directly beneath her head. She clenched her left hand around the sand and pushed up with her right, grabbing her spear. She didn't react still. She didn't want her to be seen by the other girl.
"I'm not being directed. What do you call that? A cheapshot that you could only make with my guard down. It wont happen again." She said this calmly. Walking toward where Zeei was with a set face. Her mouth a line and her eyes dark. Jo swung her spear and reaved the ground with it, sending sand up in the air. The sand billowed around clouding the air. Jo ran through it and quickly jabbed Zeei's stomach with the end of her spear. She doubled over and Jo grabbed her neck and forced her up. "I will show no mercy." She pulled her the hand holding Zeei's neck down forcing the girl to fall foreward. Jo grabbed the back of her tunic and threw her a few feet ahead then slammed the back of her spear into one of her legs. She didn't smile. She didn't smirk. She just stood. Stone. Re: The Lakeside Zeei yelped as the pain struck. Her teeth were clenched ... she hated pain. Alot. Her face was half in the sand as grains created a haze around her. Her heart felt small, as did the rest of her as it pounded for a moment or so. The Elven Experiment propped herself on her elbows her hair billowing around her, bronzed more so than the sand, even under the moonlight.
"And that ... was not a cheapshot?" she hissed. Zeei kicked off the back end of the spear from her leg, her stomach muscles contracting as she rolled onto her back. But that was not a sign of defeat, she sat up and stared at Jo through her eyelashes while pressing the back of her hand to her neck. She pondered for a few moments before raising herself to her feet, looking up as she remained stooped slightly. Zeei grinned along with her smiling eyes. "Who taught you to do that?" Something forced Jo to the ground. Not magic. Not Zeei's own self, but she'd wanted that to happen. Jo fell stiffly on her back, Zeei crouching overtop, straddling without touching. "Who said ..." Her claws protruded on her right hand, pinning Jo's to the ground -- piercing, but not driving through enough to cause damage yet. "that I ..." the same was done to Jo's other hand, enough pain so that she released the spear by accident and it rolled a few inches away. "was going to show any mercy?" Zeei grinned, wondering when the sand would stop flying. Like she cared. "Look mummy," she chanted merrily in a wispy voice. "Look what I can do." Her claws drove deeper into Jo's hands, coating them in crimson liquid that smelt of metallic shavings. The elf-girl grinned again, her tail wagging slightly. _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo wasn't one to cause more pain than necessary, but she felt like she needed to get out of Zeei's hold before her hands were scarred as well. She didn't need another to remind her of unseemly things. She closed her eyes, her mouth contorted with pain. If it lasted too long, it was possible that she could lose the ability to fight with her spear. She couldn't have that. Something whispered in the back of her mind. A concussion. Perfect.
Jo whispered the word and a ball of sand and air flew into Zeei's stomach. It didn't break her hold but it did make her loosen just for a moment. In that second Jo swung her legs out from between the girls, her hands getting dug deeper into every second. She kneed Zeei's stomach and swung her legs over to right to slam them into her hip. The other girl fell over not suspecting Jo to have been able to break out. She slid over to the side, just fighting to get over by her spear. Jo pushed up with her elbow and lifted her leg up under it to get footing. She didn't push up but looked at her hands, bloodied, deep tears. Small tears pricked her eyes, not sad tears, angry, hateful tears. She doubted in her mind that these would heal correctly, or even fast enough. But she sure as hell was going to try. She couldn't speak so she mentally let the words form and start their process. It was crawling work, but she didn't dare glance up. She wouldn't have the other girl watch in amusement just as Jo looked on helplessly. Jo's hair covered her face. Her bangs fell all around, hiding her. Zeei landed on her knees on the ground stretching upwards as the muscles in her stomach screamed. She coughed, only several droplets of blood, but it still wasn't enough to make her vomit; but she didn't. She may have been stalled, but Jo was going to have to try much harder than that. Zeei rose to her feet, her eyebrows dipping inward as she looked over her shoulder at her opponent who stood stiffly as she tried to heal her hands; face hidden beneath her thick fringe. She was beginning ... beginning to heal them ... slowly. It made Zeei smile. This is what she took joy in ... this here. Watching this. Another blue, another zip of faint light and Zeei reappeared so fast, directly infront of Jo. She forced both of the girl's hands into one of her own, still clawed, and twisted them away while grasping Jo's neck and turning her head towards her own face. "Come now ..." Zeei murmured softly, seeing the emotion drilled into Jo's eyes, "I barely did anything. Claws was all, correct? I have so much more ..." A frenzy appeared in the wolf-fox-girl's eyes. "Maybe .. I could melt your skin," she grinned insanely, "or even drown you." She brushed the hair away from one of Jo's eyes, catching sight of the teardrop scar on her cheek. Her eyes softened, but she was still grinning wildly. _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo wasn't worried about her hands anymore. Her spell didn't need focus. It would work on its own. Soon she would be able to use her spear even without them healed. She saw the glee in Zeei's eyes as she held her. "I've already had my skin melted off. If you haven't noticed," She gestured her right arm a little, "But I wouldn't remember how that felt. I don't remember anything." Her revealed left eye glared hatefully. There was nothing there but coldness. Jo pushed herself closer to Zeei, getting footing. Her face was inches away from Zeei's when she whispered, "Its such a sad thing that I need to ruin such a pretty face. Maybe a kiss before I trash it?" She brought her face closer. But instead slammed the top of her head into Zeei's jawbone. Jo twisted her legs and kicked the back of the other girls legs to make her fall to the ground. The other girl released her hands after the headbutt and Jo took the chance to slam her knuckles into the other girls shoulder when she fell. Jo took the chance to slide over to her spear and pick it up gingerly. She could use it. Her hands were healed enough. Zeei glared on ahead as she kneeled, her back towards Jo. Her silver tail lashed, brushing Jo's calves with silky fur. She wasn't sure she liked this, kneeling before Jo. Sure, it was interesting, but Zeei herself was the winner here. Although, her jaw was pained as was her should. But again, Jo would have to try alot more than that. "I noticed," Zeei said a little too coldly for her character. "You ... don't remember ... ?" It sounded similiar to the elf-girl herself. Not recalling all replaying most of her life. Just remembering most two things; abuse and a concrete room. Though ... something, like instinct, told her there was more than that buried under and away. Zeei rose and twisted around. "A kiss? Haha ... Should I feel that generous?" She grasped both of Jo's arms, walking her backwards harshly yet with ease. Whether or not Jo was showing her strength or not, it didn't matter. The wolf-fox-girl led her into the icy lake water until they were sloshing around, knee-deep. Zeei glowered straight into Jo's eyes. "I promised to kill you, street-whore." She grasped Jo's neck again with one hand while slowly dragging her claws across her side with the other. "So, a promise is a promise ..." _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo didn't fight. It was pointless. She didn't care, if she was going to die, then she was going out with style and she was fairly certain doing it quietly would drive Zeei mad. She hoarsely coughed through her constricted throat, "Yes I don't remember," She closed her eyes for a second, "If you really want a kiss then take one from me. I promise you can have all you like. It doesn't matter." Jo looked coldly at the girl. She didn't care about dying, but something about this girl reminded her of something. She couldn't quite grasp it, but it was definitely there. Zeei sighed out gently. "Don't be pathetic," she spoke in a bored tone. "Stand up and fight me back. You're going to loose to me like that, are you? I haven't even done anything." Zeei smiled, shaking her head and perking an eyebrow. "And what's this about a kiss?" She cocked her head in a strange way. Jo seemed so bizarre to Zeei. She was getting sick of this though, it was a dull display. She expected more. Pity on herself for ever believing a human would have will. "Well ... I'll met you in hell. Just ask for the four corners; that'll take you there ..." _________________

Re: The Lakeside "Hmm... I don't plan on going to hell so soon." Jo smiled of course she'd let her guard down. Jo pushed off the ground with her left leg, falling backwards into the lake with Zeei holding onto her. She twisted her legs upward and managed to break free of Zeei's hold just a little. It was a long enough moment for her to slide her wet body out of her grasp the whole way. Then she ran over to the banks, breathing heavily she grabbed her spear holding it aloft with her right hand. Jo ran back towards the lake to see if she could do a little more damage to Zeei. She scooped up some sand into her hand and held it as she ran toward the girl. She stopped nearly ten feet away and threw the sand in the air. She held her spear with both hands and whispered a spell to make the sand start clumping together. She spun her spear between her hands and created a small typhoon of sorts. Jo ran behind the spinning sand and rock and water, then sliced it with her spear to make it break up and fall into Zeei, jumping through she slammed the end of her spear into Zeei's leg, then turned back to jump through the sand. "Do you know how to fight magic? Or does that trump you?" Jo said through a smirk. Zeei snarled, a sound shredding her throat like a wolf's. She spun around, bunting Jo's spear away with her ankles before vaulting to her feet, sprinting out of the cloud of sand and strone. She veered around about 100 feet away, the water disturbed by her speed. Well ... neither do I ... she hissed, running forward and thrashing out one of her taloned hands while in the sand cloud. The only problem was, she completely missed, it was impossible to see. Nevertheless, she did the same thing on the opposite side, rushing out and back in as a blur. I can't see in this! Zeei screamed in outrage. "I'm going to kill you, Jo. You sure are irating me now ..." Her ears were rumpled backwards, her retractable claws extending. She darted forward again, this time, clipping Jo with her whole body, throwing her forward so far that she landed against the sharp, stony base of a jutting cliff. Zeei blundered forward in the shock, but she didn't linger. She dashed ahead again, talons extended. A fraction of a second away from stabbing Jo through the forehead. "You shouldn't underestimate me ... look at what I am ... Look? Can you see?" She said this all the while, the world seeming to totter in slow motion. "I am no other creature that ever has existed. Who knows what I can do ... who knows how I can kill you ..." _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo was getting knocked around now that she'd been found. But it was easy to slip away. She could see in the sand; her eyes had been trained to do so. She ran to the other side watching Zeei out of the corner of her eye. She saw her spear not to far from her. She'd kicked it fairly well. A little straggler thought passed through her mind wondering if the kick had hurt. It was indestructable metal after all. She slid and grabbed her spear, giving it a small spin before running back at Zeei. She hit her again in the leg, then jumped backwards and ran somewhere to the right. "That doesn't matter. Your still a being, you can be defeated. It doesn't matter if I die. I'm not afraid of you or death. Bring it on." She stopped for a moment to watch Zeei. She looked like a crazed animal. Frantically scratching sand from her eyes and looking for Jo. "If there's no other being the same as you... then I'm taking time to observe you." She watched carefully. Flicking her bangs in front of her eye, she began to move a little more to the side. Zeei couldn't see a thing. The sand was bellowing around her, hair thrashing wildly. She crouched into a ball, tucking her head under her arm, luckily in shallow water. She folded her tail beneath her and flattened her ears, heart thudding against her. She hated being hit in the legs all the time, it made her feel so feeble against Jo. But she wasn't. She was not the least bit. Not against her ... "Humans," she spat, still loud enough for Jo to hear. "I'm not some exhibit for you. I'm not some wild animal caught in a trap for you to gawk at." She shivered, hunkering in this water was icy cold. There was a cliff face just in front several feet, water beneath her and sand so thick it created a mist. "You're all the same ... like this .. the same. You deserve death. You deserve to rot. You deserve to drown in your own sick." Zeei took a deep breath and snarled, "You deserve Hell! All of you!" She refused to fall to a human. Zeei felt so pathetic. Jo was a human girl, Zeei was an elf ... or the residue of what was once an elf. She wasn't sure, she never had been. Maybe, she wasn't an elf. Just a mixture. Nothing more, nothing less. A dirty mixture. A snarl ripped from Zeei's throat. Dirty ... I'll show her ... She was going to butcher this poor girl. This girl whom was so innocent, dragged into a fight by this demon; Zeei. Now, there was an end. Unfortunately ... there was always an end. The cliff face loomed over Zeei ... and she knew it was there. _________________

"And last I recall, you attacked me. I didn't do anything but talk. You attacked me with no provocation." Jo wasn't angry with Zeei, she was simply annoyed. Jo twisted her spear in her hand, quietly watching Zeei. Observing her next move. She was struck by something she had said. All humans deserved to rot. What could have possibly been done to the poor girl to make her hate humans so very strongly. Zeei took in Jo's odour, the scent of musk or something along those lines. Something tonged with something else. She could still determine the exact and direct position and situation she was in, even through the blinding sand. She wasn't too far away, only several feet to Zeei's right. She growled quietly to herself as she plotted out several techniques. "You're close enough." Zeei moved so fast it would've been impossible to avoid her strike. Her talons dug deep into Jo's flesh and tore. The spicy, metallic, new scent bespattered the water. Warm, fresh blood. And not a trickle. The wolf-fox-girl had other senses than sight she coud use. The movement of the water, the sounds and also, the scent. If Jo didn't order herself to be more alert, Zeei would make easy of her. The only thing she wasn't sure of, was the magic. But nothing would hold her back. She sprinted past, turned and attacked. Slice. Then again. Slice.And again. Slice Blood was strong from not only Jo's calves, but her thighs also. And Zeei was so fast, like a blur, there wasn't possibly anything this girl could do to fight back or take her turn. _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo felt Zeei's claws rip through her skin. She didn't appreciate that very much. Her legs screamed as she moved, but she didn't let up. She had gone through more pain than this and she was willing to take the chance of worse. She turned in an instant running towards Zeei and swinging the blade of her spear at Zeei's leg. She felt the contact and spun to the right, twisting her spear to Zeei's back and stabbing the back of her calf. Jo's legs were bleeding profusely and she didn't know if she would be able to stay conscious that long. So as she twisted to stab Zeei, she flicked the end of her spear to the girls front and pulled her leg from under her. Jo's eyes began to swim slightly, but she ignored it and jabbed the end of her spear into Zeei's leg once more before backing off and trying to inspect the gashes in her legs. They were a deep red color. Zeei cried out at first. Shocked, for she hadn't felt pain like that in awhile. It was not something she could act easy about though. Her muscles had been torn slightly in one of her legs. She fell face-first into the water, rage bubbling inside of her. She was not going to be defeated. But, even if both her and Jo inflicted the same amount of wounds against eachother, Jo was still able to heal. Zeei couldn't do that. Still, Zeei just had to tune herself back in. She rose again, raising her chin and breathing in the air, directing her to where Jo was before pouncing on her, knocking her over into slightly deeper water. _________________

She flinched as Zeei landed on her and pushed up trying to get out from under her, but her legs strained from the effort. She could almost feel the anger through Zeei. But she didn't really care. Zeei snarled heavily as they thrashed about, dragging themselves into deeper water where they both dropped a little. Zeei saw the bubbles rising from around Jo's body as they rose. Zeei flicked her hair back once she touched air, her wet ears pricking as she glowered at Jo. Lunging forward, she climbed as high upon the other girl's shoulders as she could, her legs still extremely painful and bleeding, but for a reason that was actually unknown, the wolf-fox-girl wanted this poor girl dead. Zeei sunk Jo's head under the water, pulling her back up by her hair, yanking her head back. "Tell me what you are!" Zeei ordered, submerging the girl again. _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo was punching at Zeei as she kept getting pushed down. She could feel her knuckles connect with the other girls skin, but she couldn't tell where. "I... don't... know," Coughed Jo. She was taking as much breath as she could before Zeei pushed her under again. She reached out and punched at the girls neck and kicked her with her aching and bleeding legs. The blood coming from each other was discoloring the water surrounding them, making swirls of red mix with the water. Jo had managed to make them move a few feet closer to the cliff face and her legs were healing fairly fast. Zeei growled, lingering behind from the punches before swimming after Jo. She grabbed the colllar of her shirt with one hand and the root of the cliff with the other. Their blood was staining the water bad but neither of them would give in, even if it was being lose at a dangerous rate. But Zeei still fixed her hand around the back of Jo's neck and slammed her into the rocky cliff wall. "Tell me where you came from!" the girl ordered, slamming her into the rock again. She wouldn't kill her yet, only hurt her. As a warning. A smile crept up her lips as she did so. This was so much fun to her, overpowering this one so easily. She only slammed again, barely any effort. _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo's head was starting to bleed and it was giving her a headache. "I don't damn well know!" She screamed as she pushed her arm out onto Zeei's shoulder and shoved her backwards, pulling out her hidden knife to try and fight back. She slammed the blade toward the arm that had slammed her into the rock face. She heard the blade connect and saw blood gush from the stab wound on Zeei's arm. She quickly retracted the blade and swung her arm over a jutted out rock. Jo hoisted herself up and jumped up the few remaining rocks to end out on the top of the cliff. Poor JoJo ... =( maybe Zeei should kiss her better n_n Zeei hissed throatily, breathing through her teeth. Blood from her arm spurted into the water as she began licking it clean to stop the bleeding whilst treading the dark depths below her. Once her arm was not bleeding as bad, she raised her chin in the moonlight, glowering at Jo; her bronzed hair framing her face and trailing in the water. Her silvery ears flat behind her, tail sitting in a C shape underneath her. The moon's beams glimmered in the crimson liquid that reddened her lips slightly. Zeei grinned wolfishly, her ears shotting up and her eyebrow perked. It was only a fraction of time, but enough for her to get her point across. "Kudos for trying, honey." The wolf-fox-girl leapt up the cliff face with supernatural speed, her teeth bared until she reached the outcrop of rock, a ledge suspended perhaps 60 feet or so from the humungous, black and blue lake below. She hoisted herself over the lip of rock, standing tall. Her shoulders were back, her fingers clawed and hooked, hair now streaking over her shoulders. Zeei studied Jo who was standing in her shadow for the moon illuminated itself from behind. Her mixed blood trickled down her wrist and collided with stone. "Poor thing," Zeei hummed, cocking her head. She used the same trick she had back on the beach, dragging Jo closer to her without using magic or anything physical. More like crude brainwaves. Zeei grasped each of Jo's hands, a feral complexion in her features. Her eyes softened though, her silvery tail lashing once from behind. "I have to tell you a secret ..." she murmured as she brought Jo closer, running her claws down her neck menacingly. "I don't know either ..." Zeei pierced each of Jo's wrists all the way through, claret droplets blemishing the stone beneath them. She tore them down somewhat, giggling at the sensation of striny muscles twinging at her touch. Runny gore oozed out of the wounds. "Awww ..." Zeei's eyes softened. "I'll make you a deal ... if you cry for me, then maybe I'll give you a kiss, alright?" Zeei giggled. _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo let a scream tear through her throat and she fell to the rocks. Landing on her knees, her eyes wide and breath coming in at sharp, short gasps. The pain sent shivers up and down her spine, causing her to rock her shoulders foreward and back. She looked hatefully up at Zeei who still had her claws through Jo's wrists. Jo snarled. "I'm always crying." She said forcefully, spitting the words out as though they burnt her tongue by being there. Jo slowly stood up. Looking directly into Zeei's eyes, her arms shaking from the pain. Her stomach shaked as she slowly climbed up. Her right eye pricked a small tear, but it wouldn't flow. She wouldn't allow it. She yanked her right arm backward, away from Zeei, making her claws retract out of her wrists. She screamed and held her arm limply by her side, breathing hard. She took a deeper breath as she hunched over, looking at her ripped wrist. Standing a little straighter, she pulled her other arm away, yanking the claws out in from her other wrist. Another scream choked its way out of her throat. Jo fell to the ground, her knees scraping against the rough surface. Her back was practically facing Zeei, but she couldn't stand again. Her wrists were beginning to sting and blood was dripping in a grisly pool under her. She shook, her back rolling with the shivers that encompassed her body. Her shoulder blades were forced upwards as she fell to her elbows and stared at her mangled wrists. Knowing she couldn't heal them. Zeei grabbed each of her ears and pulled them down. "I can listen ... come on ... spill it out ..." The wolf-fox-girl grinned as she rose to her feet, still hanging on to her ears, her lips curled back. "Speak to me ... speak to me .." she chanted, circling Jo several times with a wagging tail. "Little Zeei doesn't mind you talking to her." She dropped directly in front of Jo, hair falling over her eyes. "Come on ..." She yanked one of Jo's wrist and thrust her up to her feet, so crude and harshly that she couldn't regain footing at first from her speed. Zeei wheeled her around and battered her back-first into the cliff face, one hand clutching the girl's throat, the other overing her fingers beneath the wolf-fox-girl's charming yet bloodthirsty grin. "Tell me," she hummed, "Or I'll strip one of these off at a time. And I mean strip ... all the way up your arm. Just to see how much flesh I can get all at once from on finger." OOC:: Oh, and by the way Angel ... tell Jo: This 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure, 50% pain and 100% reason to remember the name  That's thanks to Toph with that amv. Re: The Lakeside Jo coughed a little, twisting her head to loosen the girls hold on her neck. She quietly said, "Have you not seen my eye? The disgusting scar that marks me? I am perpetually crying because of that." Jo could barely move her arms, they were sore and she had lost a lot of blood, to the point where her eyes were blurry and her wrists were numb. If she couldn't feel the blood dripping down her fingertips, she was sure that she would have no idea that she had wrists. Her back however was a different story. She could feel rocks poking at odd angles into the small and up along the curve of it. Lol, that is appearences, smart one. "Oh come now," Zeei whispered, "it's not that bad. I mean, I could always make it worse." She aimed for one of Jo's fingers before hesitating, cocking her head to the side. "You know what?" Zeei said, tightening her hold. "I might just show you pain ... like I know ... that'll make you cry ... bad." Zeei turned Jo around harshly, pressing her front hard into shadowed rock, crushing her with her immense strength. Each of the elf-girl's hands clasped Jo's wrists, pinning them to the stone. Zeei's shade passed over her opponent's face as she looked over her shoulder and Zeei leaned in. The elf-girl propped her chin on her shoulder. "I hope you're ready for this ..." she said, eyes softening. "You beg to me ... and I will end it ... so don't be scared ... I'm on your side. Remember that." Zeei clutched one of Jo's shoulders and wrenched downwards. Sickening cracks reverbrated through her hands as she stripped her entire shoulder open. There was a cascade of blood that doused all of Zeei's front that was still pressed against her. Bones jutted out, quaking over long distances. Zeei smiled her charming smile as she went for the other. Crack, another shoulder snapped open. There was so much blood that Jo lost strength immediately and missplaced her will to stand along with the gore. Strings of flesh hung messily from her; both arms were completely limp for they weren't fully attached. Zeei didn't do anything but crouch in the moonlight, smile in curiousity and wag her silver tail. I'm plenty tough n_n you can't even spell "excuse" lol. Sorry about the godmodding, but you get it. Lol. It's a bigggg wound =D _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo didn't have time to scream, her knees buckled and she fell to the ground, falling onto her stomach on the rock. Her left cheek leaned awkwardly against a jutting out stone and her eyesight swam in and out. Blurring. Thickening with the loss of blood. Her eyes kept swimming between red and gray. Pain shot red, grey was everything else. She couldn't truly see. She couldn't make out anything other than red blurs and blotches. Her mind gave out and she passed out for a few seconds and awoke softly with a groan. Something wet streaked just over the bridge of her nose, but as she tried to look, she reminded herself that she couldn't see. Everytime she moved even slightly, pain reverberated through her body. She formed words with her mouth but couldn't talk. Instead groans and quiet screams escaped. Jo didn't think she would last too much longer, she was certain the blood loss would be far too much. Her eyes rolled into her head as she tried to move her fingers to try and heal, but the wound was too painful. Her consciousness was wavering faster and faster now. Her eyes were completely red now. No grey showed through. Her stomach started cramping around the same time her shoulders started feeling like they were being pulled upward and realigned. She knew that wasn't possible, but she thought she heard the crack of bones just before she lost consciousness again. She woke a few minutes later to find that the pain in her shoulders had increased ten fold and her arm... her arm felt as though it were on fire. As though her flesh was being eaten away by the flames that had already consumed her. She felt her shoulder blades cracking and popping into different places and she simply gave up trying to stay awake and passed out. When she awoke again there were shadows crossed over her face and it was dark, she couldn't see the sky, but she could feel something covering her body. Her shoulders throbbed and she didn't dare move. She didn't even bother to look for Zeei. She just stayed frozen. You're not? Haha! Zeei's lips were parted in her shock. She had seen it. Two things growing from the wounds ... growing. But what they were, she was unsure. She was unsure about alot of things. Unsure what Jo was, unsure what she could do and unsure what Zeei herself was going to do about it. The scent of rusty blood was strong in the air and the sound of Jo's weighty breathing was only to add to it. By her movements it was easily read that she wanted to scream, but something stopped her. The immense quantity of pain? Maybe she even still held her self-dignity, which would be astonishing in the least. After all, the elf-girl had totally snapped, twisted and tore her shoulderblades off. Shoulderblade. There were gaps there, well ... there were. It was almost as if they were cautiously thredding back together; an unknown stitchperson tending to her wound. Zeei curled her lips back in an attempt to appear unamazed and deadly, but the look was pathetic. Her ears still remained perked high and alert, her tail crinkled by her thighs. She couldn't help but stare at that downy pair of things upon Jo's back. Feathers more downy than fleece ... like segments of clouds. Beauteous ... was one word to describe it. Even though streaked with blood. Feathered ... a pair ... "What are you?" Zeei demanded. OOC:: No need to act, I'm all it and you know it ^.^ Haha, that's no excuse n.n _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo heard Zeei's voice, but it sounded far away. As though it were hundreds of miles away. It was distorted and hard to understand, but in the end she understood. What was she. She didn't know. Her mind wasn't working correctly and her body was starting to ache. She didn't think that she could move even if she wanted. She didn't expect anything to pop into her head after the question, but something struck up in her stomach. Welling up and smoothly gliding into her head. Her head felt as though it were splitting; as though it would block everything from her again. Her arms moved slowly to wrap around her head and she felt something move off her face and drag along the ground. It stung slightly but she didn't look. She wasn't frightened. She was fragile at the moment and her arms were like lead as she tried to block everything from her. Her body shook slightly as images and words flitted throughout her mind. Although one thing in particular stood out to her. Nephilim. She carefully formed the word with her lips and whispered it aloud. It sounded nice. Re: The Lakeside Jo suddenly felt burning anger, sparking inside her chest. Rolling along into her hands. She pushed up off her knees and stood up carefully. She was weak but still able to fight she looked toward where Zeei had gone and two large shadows caught her eyes. They were long, not so much slender, but powerful looking. Delicate almost. They were placed behind her seemingly attached, but she couldn't feel anything different. She turned her head slowly to look at what was behind her and glimpsed a white wing protruding from her back. A small cry escaped her lips as she gazed at the feathers. That was what made Zeei retreat momentarily. Jo didn't move again. Zeei swore. She has wings ... like an angel ... It made no sense, they'd erupted from the very wounds that the elf-girl had created when ripping off Jo's shoulders. Sprouted ... like some breed of outlandish magic. But they were there and they were real, all right. The downy feathers, snowy white as if weaved from a cloud wavered the smallest distances in the light breeze as she stood tall and proud; weak still ... some how ... but so unimaginably powerful. Authority of ages beamed from her. Zeei grinned, angling her eyebrows and cocking her head, her eyes latched to Jo's. "Epic," she whispered, flashing her teeth. "So you're not a human? Well ... at least ... not exactly." Her face tensed a little, her eyes wide. She backed up a bit more, her silvery tail refusing to wag. She crouched a little, not sure what Jo was nor what she could do ... What on earth ... ? Stop playing dumb at my awesomeness ... bow before me instead ^.^ _________________

She wasn't here to listen to what Jo was thinking, she was here to fulfill the urge to kill her ... to thread out her insides before the girl's very eyes. Her eyebrows sharpened whilst her bronzed hair still shifting in serenity with the wind. Her lips curled back slightly over her teeth. This was a sher warning. If Jo caught it in time and was not too busy to sit and muse, then maybe she would've had a chance. I don't pause for mutated street-whores ... Zeei told Jo, directly in her mind whilst vaulting forward to rip her to shreds, a black silhouette against the moon. I could think of a time n.n Haha! Re: The Lakeside Jo wasn't surprised. Although being called a street-whore over and over again was getting old. She could hear Zeei coming at her. The footsteps were heavy, like lead. Jo pushed with her right arm and swung around. She felt her boot connect with the back of the girls knees and gusted herself with a push of her wings (a feat she just realized was possible). She turned her back to Zeei and kicked her spear up with the toe of her boot and she caught it. Twisting her feet to the side and giving a beat of her wings, she faced Zeei again. Zeei was astonished when she felt the pain from the newly altered girl. The force had sent her directly to her knees, kneeling while facing the rock, her legs pulsating. What else could she possibly do ... ? Those wings weren't going to make attacks much easier in the least. Plus the magic. Jo now held a high chance of succession, it seemed. Didn't stop Zeei though. She swivelled around and faced Jo, blinking at her hard face through her bronzed fringe. Her tail didn't wag, just was sprawled out limp behind her. She wasn't sure how she should approach this stranger now. Seems she'd gotten into something unknown. Should've looked before she leapt. "You're an angel ..." she pointed out in a whisper. No, but I could so easily make you! Muahha! You say that excuse as if you were a broken record. _________________

Re: The Lakeside Zeei didn't answer, she only tensed herself, tail tip twitching. She wouldn't possibly know how to fly yet, Zeei thought. If I can knock her into the water then the wings might slow her down. She still wasn't certain though as to why she wanted to kill Jo so bad. With her two beauteous wings and that look she had. It made little sense.
Zeei tried not to think. She didn't even talk, just ran straight at Jo, colliding with a large surge of impact... I don't remember where Jo is on the cliff, lol. Yup, that sounds like you *rolls eyes* _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo felt the air get knocked out of her and she soared backwards, the feral girl clinging to her. She didn't exactly realize that they were flying out over the lake at that moment... but she happened to look down and saw the water coming at them rather quickly. On a whim she spread her wings and clumsily beat them a few times managing a floating moment, falling a few feet, but eventually ending up in a jumble of wildly flapping wings and kicking legs.

Re: The Lakeside Zeei found that she'd uttered a bizarre whine. Her silvery ears flattened once she realized exactly how high they were. A sudden sense of vertigo struck her and she became unsure of exactly where she was.
Just close your eyes ... she directed herself. Zeei squeezed her eyes shut, the heavy yet slow beating of elegant wings fondling the insides of her ears. Their pitch didn't alter though, they remained the same. The elf-girl thought she heard cautious breathing to add to that. Yes I know where I am ... She stared directly at Jo who was only inches from her nose. It was her she'd been embracing in a strange way out of terror of falling. The other girl was doing nothing though, so Zeei only skipped her gaze between her eyes. "Drop me," she murmured. "Or kill me ... whatever you intend to do ... go on ... my life is in your hands. Could be ... your only chance." Zeei shivered. This "angel" was going to kill her now ... Fine ... you win ... Lol, no worries. "I'm not going to kill you..." she whispered, "I never wanted to." Suddenly her eyes began to swim again. She felt overwhelmingly exhausted. Spreading her wings she managed a slightly gentle glide. She lowered to the ground. "I'm going to sleep..." Re: The Lakeside Zeei felt herself touch down upon the sand. Exhaustion waded its way through her as well as her limbs became charred from overuse. Two things kept her from collapsing like a burning building: one, the confusion of how she actually was alive. It was as if only several seconds ago the scene was her dangling at the end of her own thread of life before the scene flashed to the dancing sand beneath the moonlit sky of the night. Two; the fact that there was another consciousness dawdling towards her own ...
Who are you? she asked, her limbs quivering from terrible exhaustion. I don't know. That was the reply. It had admitted. Though its voice was like ... like what? Water? Break away from me ... Zeei ordered, grinding her knuckles softly into the sand. Mists of it drifted in the wind in a silent, dark world. Why should I? Because ... you're making me tired. Zeei spoke to it as honestly as if it were a dream. I have to kill ... Jo ... Kill her? the voice began to hum, lulling the elf-girl. Don't. Why not? Because ... she definately is not someone you should kill ... Come on ... try to remember ... Zeei strained her thoughts. She was too tired to remember, but she found her words had spoken for her. Zeei turned her head upwards to some extend, her vision spinning like unbalanced scales. But why are you here? A silver wolf, eyes as blue and as twinkling as sapphires, touched its elegant nose to her brow. To make you whole ... Zeei slept ... Wow, that has to be one lazy piece of writing lol. Re: The Lakeside Jo shook. Nightmares were coming left and right from the dark of her mind. Fire and blood filled images in her mind. Screams sounded off in distances and strange new words to her ears played like echoes. One word stuck out, although she couldn't understand it.
She jerked herself awake. Her eyes took a second to focus but she remained perfectly still. Re: The Lakeside Zeei slowly jerked her eyelids open, breathing rapidly through her clenched teeth. She continued until her heartrate settled down once more and wasn't rapping against her throat. She had been laying on her back in the sand while the warm sun was glittering over the lake in gold and orange. Pale moths skitted before her which she watched from beneath her fringe.
Something rather warm and extremely silky and downy was pressed against Zeei's right side. Not only that, but it was quite large. What is that ... ? She leaned over and saw Jo on the beach beside her. Her eyes were closed, but was she asleep? Her wing was what was against Zeei who propped herself on one elbow. She reached over and touched one cold finger to Jo's cheek. Thank you lol *shakes head* Fair enough lol. GAH!!!! >.O _________________

Re: The Lakeside Jo opened her left eye and looked at Zeei. It was a ridiculous looking picture. Zeei had the look of a child caught doing something bad, not to mention her finger was still prodding Jo's cheek.
Jo softly moved the girls arm back to her side and rolled to her right in one movement. She pushed up onto her knees and noticed that she was sore and stiff near the wings and along her shoulders. Re: The Lakeside Zeei watched Jo stand and make her way to the lake. Neither of them had spoken a word. They'd just tried to kill eachother the night before! The old bloodstains on the back of Jo's shirt where her wings had emerged were proof of that. Zeei didn't know what to do. She didn't particularly want to venture off on her own. Maybe follow this one? Just to see where she was going.
So Zeei stood up and followed closely behind Jo, silent in the hope that she wouldn't notice. She touched the feathers on Jo's wings much more extremely gently just so she knew they weren't some illusion of some kind. Lol, what else do you want me to say? n.n Stop attacking me -.- *puts you in cupboard and locks it* n_n _________________

Re: The Lakeside Zeei gasped slightly when Jo's wings moved, having been startled. She then eyed Jo through her fring and crinkled one side of her mouth.
"Yes," she managed, once she'd found her voice. "Yes ... I think there is ... something I'd like ..." Zeei wandered backwards, tottering on the balls of her feet before slipping in the sand. "I'd like ... to know ... who you are. What you are. What were we doing? I ...." She let herself slip to the sand again, her right cheek against its odd texture. She stared out at the twinkling lake to the right of Jo whilst trying to think. Gah, what were we talking about? Stupid ... edit ... >.< _________________

Re: The Lakeside Zeei wondered what options she really had. She had no place to go, no one to see. There was nothing, to be frank. What if ... she went with Jo? She seemed interesting enough, and might be able to tutor Zeei in small human things she couldn't comprehend. And perhaps even in other subjects. Who knows? Just by learning off a daily routine would Zeei be able to understand more.

Re: The Lakeside The fact that Zeei was nervous seemed odd to Jo. But then it dawned on her that Zeei was asking to come with her. She thought for a moment as the girl stumbled over her words. "Come with me? Mmm," She looked over Zeei quietly, "I don't see why not." She thought that it wouldn't be too bad to have Zeei around anyway.

Re: The Lakeside Jo blinked at Zeei, a small frown on her face. She hadn't thought about where to go as of yet and besides... her wings would prove a difficult problem to hide. If she walked into a town that was sure to have an influence with the king... she would be taken into custody. She was absolutely sure Zeei would be too. She looked out over the water thinking for a moment. Zeei surely wanted to know how to act human. But with her ears and tail it would be hard. Jo could have easily hid them with magic, but she didn't know if she could cover her wings as well. Suddenly Jo turned to her bag, opening a small compartment. She got out her map. "Zeei, we would probably have to avoid large cities. Together we'd gather far too much attention from the Kings dogs. I'm suggesting going south. Along the ridges. We can stop at the southern tip, avoiding Gil'ead and still hit the Ramr River. Then follow it out to Bullridge. We can pick up some supplies. It may be close to Uru'Baen, but it would be neccesary by then. And besides we could probably disguise ourselves well enough." She paused a moment, quietly looking at her map. "After bullridge... we could keep along the Ramr until we get to the most southern points of it. Then we can leave and head for Furnost. There's a forest near Tudosten that I want to explore." Jo finished and looked at Zeei. Re: The Lakeside Zeei fingered the map gently with a nail, passing her eyes over the scribbled information. She was going, wasn't she? She wasn't going to be alone, she'd be with Jo. Jo ... Zeei still felt like she'd escaped reality when this oppertunity had been bestowed upon her. Maybe this wasn't reality? A dream? Maybe a stranger named Jo actually did drown her. Over there .. in the lake ... The lake that's right next to me, maybe I'm dead somewhere in those depths right now.
Her mind shuffled back into position when she heard Jo's breathing and patience for an answer. Zeei examined her. "I trust you," she stated, "but how are we meant to disguise things like your wings? And my tail?" She felt silly. A tail, how preposterous. Another thought then slipped in. A more saddening thought, but it had to be mentioned. "I'm slowing you down, aren't I? I mean ... you could just ... fly ..." She felt small saying those words. Small and useless ... Thank you, lol. Btw, we're back in business! *Wraps arms around you n_n* _________________

And though she could see the doubt, both in Zeei's words and her heart, she didnt listen to it. Instead pulling Zeei along for an interesting story to be made.
Long after they set off, the two parted. Closer friends than either had before. They learned many things, yet there comes a time, when two people must seperate to find what is truly right in their lives. Months after they had seperated Jo received her last letter from Zeei.
