Ka blinked a few times, attempting to process what zeke said. It made little sence to him as he could not discern a logical use for an eldunari. What good was a counciousness without a body to inhabit it? Although he didnt understand the point, he understood what it was enough fpr zeke to continue. "ok...so dragons have a second heart so to speak, but how does that help galbatorix? his was begining to hurt from all the information he was recieving today.

Ka listened intently, stareing into space as he did. He only broke he gaze long enough to look at Ella saddle bag. He didnt ask what that was, but accepted that i had happened without question. As zeke spoke, Ka was imagining all of what he was sayi g in his head. Rider and dragon being leagus away and speaking as clearly as jia and himself. The sight of hundrens of dragons' eldunaris. Galbatorix riding out on shruikan and killing everyone in his way. This last image nearly made ka fall off Jia's back, as the gravity of what zeke was saying finally hit him. Galbatorix had a nearly infinite supply of power at his disposal. Ka now understood why the other riders kept to themselves: to avoid destruction; another fall. " i understand now...thank you, for helping me to understand. he too, sounded solumn. Ka looked up at the sky, and noticed that the sun was getting lower. " how much further until we stop for the night? he asked zeke and ella.

Ka watched with awe as Seluka's form came from her Eldunari. "Sorry, I just get nervous when I meet someone new." He said, slightly embarrassed. When she asked him his age, but not the one her appeared to be, he thought for a moment. He drew invisible lines in the air, doing mental calculations. "I think I am around...350 to 360 years old..." He wasn't sure, as he stopped counting some time ago.

OOC: AH! It's raining dragons and urgals here! and we're under a tornado warning >.>"

Seluka smiled kindly. I understand that to a degree. she murmured, then listened as he said how old he thought he was. Her vivid green eyes widened in surprise. Well, I wasn't expecting that. Add another decade and you'd be as old as I am. she said, snorting softly. Zeke laughed. Mother, you are by no means old. You look like your in the prime of your youth. he commented firmly, his brow furrowed. The sapphire-and-emerald dragoness prummed happily. Thank you my son. she purred. The amethyst turned to Ella as she made a fire pit and filled it with wood. He snorted a stream of fire out one nostril and into the hole, lighting it easily with the dancing amethyst-pale-blue flames. He ended the stream quickly, since the pit was quite small, and settled onto his stomach.

Johdzsia laid down just beside her mother, crooning sadly. She tied to nuzzle her mothers shoulder, but couldn't. She felt resistance, but no warmth, no contact. No nothing. Simply the give and solidity of a shield. Her croon softened. All her mother was was a visual bending of the light, nothing of her was physically there. Seluka purred. Do not my sad, my darling. she murmured comfortingly, lowering her head to stroke Jia's spine with her jaw. She felt the heat of Jia's body, but felt no contact. Her silent heart contracted, making the light from her Eldunarí dim to a dull glow. The gold-amethyst sighed and laid her head down.

Ka shifted nervously in Jia's gaze. He watched, as she made her way over to him, wondering what she was doing. When she set her head in his lap, he looked at her curiously, and one of his hand on her head. He listened as Jia explained that even though there was hope, her mother wouldn't except it. When she mentioned his brother, he had to fight back an over whelming feeling of loss, a feeling that he had kept hidden form himself for the last 6 years. He was silent for a while, his eyes focused on one of her scales. When he spoke, he was slow, as if choosing his words carefully. "Thank you. You have no idea how much that means to me....that you would say that. But, it is a hopeless cause...my brother is likely dead or worse by now." He gripped the ground beside him with his other hand, trying to keep his emotions in check so as to not over whelm Jia, or yell out loud in an attempt at release.

OOC: Actually Rathon would be classified as "or worse" right now...

Ka grinned as he imagined a smaller Jia, surrounded by 3 larger dragons, all of which cared for her. His grinned widened when he heard Jia's ferocity(sp?). When she asked him about his brother, his grin slowly faded. "Rathon was.... In many ways like zeke is. Over protective, always telling me what to do, never letting me what I want, and generally a pain. But when I was with him I would feel safe, like nothing could hurt me as long as he was there to protect me. I looked up to him, and I loved him. He was closer to me than anyone ever was or has been since then. He knew me inside and out, he knew what to say to upset me or make me feel better. He knew when I really wanted something, and would sacifice somethin of his if it meant I could get it. He was always there for me" Ka's voice caught in his throat, and it took him a minuet to regain himself. " but hes gone now....and unlike you and our mother, I cant even see him. His voice, eyes, posture, and thoughts all radiated with a deep seated saddness, one that came from years of thinking on it and suppressing it. He tried to keep as much as he could from Jia, but there was too much to hold back any more. He disappeared in a flash of white lightning, to a tree a little ways away from the camp, and let his emoions surface for the first time since that day. He sat on a tree branch, curled into a ball, as all his saddness, fear, depression and any other emotion he had kept hidden, wash over him in violent fits of weeping.

Ka didnt notice Jia when she found him in the tree, nor did he responce to her attempt to comfort him. He was too deep in his own spiraling emotions. At this point, one was stronger than the others, rage and hatred. Rage for being left alone, hatred for them leaving him alone. He griped the tree branch under him so hard that the bark shattered. "why... Why did they leave me? Why did they leave me all alone? Why? Why? Why!?" by the end he was shouting. He needed to vent his anger and frustration, lest it consume him. He raised his hand wordlessly, and a deep purple, 20 ring seal appeared. He spoke slowly, as though the words pained him. "chaos seal: seal of emotion." the seal brightened and vanished and Kas emotion were once again calm. He looked down at Jia and smiled. " im sorry you had to go threw that. Sometimes i cant control my own emotions, so i have to use a seal to suppress the ones i dont want to show." he jumped out of the tree and landed beside her. He gently placed a hand on her neck. " are you ok? I know you felt what i did..." he was concerned that his emotions had had some kind of lasting effect on her, particularly the rage he had just been feeling.

on the other side of alageasia, in uru'baen, Galbatorix was eatting supper. He was just taking a drink when his food exploded, getting everywhere and causing him to spill his drink. Such is the unknown effect of chaos seals.

Ka hugged Jia around the neck. " thank you.... That means more to me than you know. he let go and looked at her, all traces of saddness gone, it had been replaced with happiness and maybe a little hope. " we should probably get back before the others start to worry. he hugged her again and waited for her to take the lead, he would follow her back to camp.

Ka followed her back to camp, as he had no idea where he had teleported to. He felt her wing on his shoulder and smiled at her warmly and touched her wing gently. "how far away did i go from camp?" he cast his mind out as far as he could, but only felt Jia and the creatures around them, bu then he couldnt feel more than a yard aroumd them.

Ka sighed out loud. "well this is just great." he looked around, trying to see if he could recognize anything, but since it was getting dark, all he saw was trees and shadows. He looked up at the thick canopy of leaves above them. maybe we could see Ella's camp fire from the air. he looked at Jia and shrugged.

Ka watched as she flew up and listened when she said she saw something. Then he heard her yelp and come tumbling down to the ground. His first though was to catch her, but then he remembered shes a dragon. He stepped back to avoid being landed on. Unfortunatly, he steped back into where she was landing. When she landed on him, his grunt of surprise was muffled by the suddenness of dirt in his mouth. He noticed she was just laying there, he thought she was hurt or didnt know she had landed on him. He was just about to start wiggling his way out when she got up. As soon as her weight left his head, he looked up and took a breath of air and spat dirt out of his mouth. He crawled out from under her and brushed himself off, coughing as he did so. But he was still concerned that she had hurt herself. are you ok? That sounded like it hurt. he looked her over for any cuts or bleeding.

[color=#FF0000]Ka shivered when Jia pulled away from his conscious, but he stayed quiet. He glanced around her again, just in time to see a jet of amethyst flame shoot up into the sky. He was glad that they were headed in the right direction, but this was short lived. He too heard a screech, and looked down. In the gaps of the trees he could see figures that were darker than the shadows around them moving. When Jia shouted her warning, a cold chill went up his spine. "Alright, I won't attack, but maybe I can make us go faster." He muttered a few words under his breath, but they were snatched away by the wind. In the next instant, a chiming sound reverberated in the air around them, and a tail wind rushed up to meet them.

Ka hung on as Jia raced forward with her boosted speed. He kept his head even with her neck, trying to not get blown off. He saw her look up, so he looked too. He looked just into to see Zeke and Ella clash with a black flying beast. He could feel that Jia wanted to help, he did too, but Zeke and the beast were too intertwined for even a seal, much less another dragon. He figured she had come to the same conclusion, and he hung on tighter as she dove down. When she stopped he looked down at the ground, looking for the ra'zac. He drew his blade when Jia issued her challenge, and waited for the ra'zac to respond.

Ka ducked when Jia gave the word, he felt her tail pass over his head just as he lower it. He looked back up in time to see the impact and hear the creature screech in pain. He could tell Jia was slowly becomeing more and more angry, it was starting to effect him as well. He gripped the hilt of his sword tighter. When Jia roared in pain, concern replaved anger. "Jia, whats-" he cut off when he saw the dagger protruding from her shoulder. He could remove it, but now was not the time. "Jia, Im as useless as a ragdoll up here! Im going to fight them on the ground. without waiting for her approval, or disapproval, he teleported to ahead of her to where the ra'zac had landed and called out. "hey! Im over here you slimy chikens!" he had his sword drawn, now he waited for them to come to him. " Jia, stay high in the air. They cant get to you if you're too high up. and it wasnt a request.

Ka looked up at Jia, startled by her roar. He watched as she lunged at something threw the trees. She grabbed something he could not see, but he assumed it to be a ra'zac. He heqrd several loud ripping noises, and then Jia's victory roar. Something was flying at him in the direction he had just heard Jia from. He lifted his sword and sliced it clean in half, he noticed it was a ra'zac and that it was missing an arm. Suddenly, an over whelming feeling of power came over him, and he felt Jia's mind meld with his own.

He looked around in the dark, and heard rustling in some nearby bushes. He spun around just in time to see 2 ra'zac rushing at him. Both had small daggers, but both were running full pelt at him. He rolled to one side and they shot past him, skidding to a halt and turning to face him. He kept his back to them, but muttered something under his breath. In the next instant, a jet of black flame shot up from nderneath one of the ra'zac, cooking it instantly. The other leaped away as his comrade was cooked. Once the flame stopped, the chared remains of the razac fell over with a dull thud. Ka still had his back to the other however. It rushed at him, hissing and clicking loudly. Ka stood, spun, and beheaded the beast with a speed that would impress even an elf. The body the creature fell over, headless as the head rolled away. He waited several minuets, but heard nothing. "Jia, I think they are all- he stopped as a pain shot threw his back. He looked over his shoulder and saw another razac crouch behind him, holding the hilt of a dagger that was stuck into his back. He stared at it wordlessly, but it screech in pain as its head was crushed by the air pressure that ka was creating with a heaven seal. It fell over dead, and Ka fell next to it, out cold.

Darkness. That was all Ka could see. He called out, at least he thought he did. He opend his mouth but no sound came out. He couldnt feel anything, he couldnt see anything, he couldnt hear anything. He was floating in the darkness of his mind, at least he assumed it was his mind. He wasnt sure right now. Suddenly, he felt something brush against him. He shyed away from it at first, but not for long. It felt familier, like a friend or loved one. He let it envelop him. Then he heard a whisper. It slowly got louder. Ka....come back to me he heard the voice say. He slowly became aware of a pain in his back. Then he became aware that there was a dull light; a moon? He moved his fingers as he slowly came too. "J...Jia?" he said out loud. He went to sit up, but stopped as a hot pain shot up his back. "Jia what happened?" He was still a bit foggy so he was speaking out loud. He jolted as his memory returned, and groaned as he realized that the pain he felt was a dagger in his back. Jia, roll me over and romove the dagger. Please... if she could do that he could heal himself.

Ka braced himself for when Jia turned him over, but didnt feel the pain he was expecting. He again braced himself when she pulled the dagger from his back, but again felt nothin but a dull throb. It took him a momen to realize that Jia was taking his pain. He wished she wouldnt do that, he was grateful, but she was hurt as well and had her own pains to deal with. He reached around and felt for the hole in his back. Once he found it, he made short work of healing it, luckily there was no sether oil on the dagger. Once it was healed, the pain died down considerably. He then got up and turned his attention to Jia. alright, thank you. Now let me see your shoulder. he knew she had been hit too.

Ka could feel that Jia was shielding him from her pain, but he manuvered past her resistance and tookcher pain as his own. His knees became shaky and his vision blurred as he felt what she did, the burning of flesh and bone. He ignored it best best he could and concentrated on the task at hand, healing Jia. He used a seal to make the dagger vanish, rather than pulling it out and causeing more pain. As soon as it was gone he began healing her wound inside and out. It took more time than it should, as he was working against the sether oil, but his and Jia's strength were fair stronger than the oil's degeneratory power. Once he finished healing, the pain subsided. He closed the wound, but he couldnt regenerate the scales that she had lost due to the oil, so it their place there was soft pale skin. Are you ok now? he wanted to make sure she hadnt been hurt any where else.

Ka stroked Jia's nose when she nuzzled his stomach. "I should be thanking you, if you hadn't have lended me your strength, I would still be fighting those Ra'zac. And if you hadn't have pulled the dagger from my back, I would still be on the ground." He stopped and watched he get to her feet and inspect the scar. He wished he had done a better job, if he knew more Heaven Seals he would have restored her scales and gotten rid of the scar. He looked around when he heard the sounded of fighting nearby. It got silent, but he was still on edge. He glanced around, waiting for something to happen, and although he had been expecting it, he jumped as Zeke and a lethrblaka burst from the trees and landed not too far away. He watched the fight, wanting to help, but thought it better to not to. Once Zeke had defeated the beast, Ka watched him walk away. He was surprised when Zeke fell over, but at the same time he was expecting it. It was then he got a good look at the damage inflicted to his underbelly, and it made what had happened to Jia and himself look like scratches. He rushed over to help, by the time he got there Ella was already muttering a long healing spell. He didn't doubt her powers, but it would be faster with two of them. He wasn't sure if he was intruding or not, but Jia's concern was his concern. He put both palms facing Zeke, one behind the other. He knew few Seal Spells, but the ones he did know where potent. He closed his eyes and began to speak in a different language. It sounded like a mixture of the ancient language, dragon tongue, and english. As he spoke, a white energy wound down around his arms and over his hands and began to form a seal in the air infront of him. Each ring was being drawn with the energy, as well as each rune inside the rings. It took a bit to complete, and ended up being 15 rings large. Once completed the seal glowed brighter than his normal Heaven Seal, and from it tendrils of energy formed and wound their way to Zeke's wounds. The tendrils moved into the cuts and punctures that Ella wasn't healing at the time and healed them from the inside out to prevent scaring, and once the cut was healed the scales where replaced, not exactly as before but close. It was a tedious process, and the whole time Ka stood stock still with his eyes closed and muttering under his breath.

Johdzsia prummed happily in response to Ka, then gazed at her brother. His breathing was shallow and ragged and it seemed like every breath was a struggle. His eyes were screwed tightly shut. She watched her Rider create the Seal, and instantly gave him her energy to help boost the effectiveness of his magic. She saw Ella's lined forehead relax some as Ka's spell took affect, and nodded to herself in satisfaction. Zeke's breathing was leveling out and becoming deeper. Just a little more... she thoughts to herself.

Johdzsia shivered slightly as Ka ported out from under her wing; her circle tightened subconsciously, and her dreams took a more listless turn.

Not much I can do, pass. Do you have an idea brewing?

OOC: well, since Rathon was just approved, should I intro him here or do that in different RP? Other than that, I was just gonna bring food back then figured we would wrap it up with seeing Nasuada.

Ka came back about an hour later carrying 4 deer, 2 on each shoulder, and 4 small rabbits. He set two deer down near Zeke and 2 near Jia, and started skinning the rabbits. He made sure to keep his back to Ella since he knew she didn't like meat or killing animals unless it was necessary.

Johdzsia blinked open her eyes. She drew back her wing, letting in the pale morning light. She lifted her head and yawned. Good morning, little one. she murmured, still half-asleep. She sniffed delicately, and her eyes widened in delight when she found two deer beside her. She hadn't realized how hungry she was. She carefully took one carcass in her jaws and began slicing it to pieces with her claws; unlike other dragons, she preferred to eat her meal daintily. Thank you, Ka. she purred, her eyes glittering.

Johdzsia purred at his touch. You are welcome, little one. she crooned, her eyes twinkling with warmth.

Zeke lifted his head wearily; it felt like his skull was being hammered on by a hundred dwarves at once. He groaned as he rolled over onto his stomach. His Rider stirred but did not wake at his movement. Thank you, Ka, for healing me as you did and saving Ella from the coma that was surely coming her way. he said, and purred in gratitude. He shifted stiffly, wincing slightly. As soon as your done eating and my Rider wakes, we can mount up and go on. If we leave in an hour, we can reach the Varden within forty-five minutes. he said.

Zeke glanced at Ella then back at Ka. She exhausted herself last night by using so much magic. The Ancient Language draws energy from your body, taking the same amount of energy it would take for you to do it manually. So healing me as she did was very taxing because of how much she did. Healing herself wouldn't have been a problem, but my hide is thicker and tougher than hers. he explained, eying his Rider worriedly. He frowned. But you are right; its unlike her to rest so long. he rumbled.

Johdzsia grinned at Ka, her eyes twinkling. And that is how it should be. Some of your personality traits will rub off on me too. Such is the way of Dragon and Rider. she purred affectionately.

Zeke sighed anxiously and laid his head down. I can still touch her mind, so she's not blocking me or completely unconscious. he rumbled. Just as he finished speaking, Ella stirred,"Oh would you quit worrying your scales off, you big scalebag?" she mumbled affectionately, opening one eye to glare at him. He purred, a smirk pulling at the corners of his mouth. Slowly, she sat up, one hand on her temple. She winced as her head throbbed,"And hence why I don't like using magic." she growled under her breath. She waved at Ka,"Nothing to worry about, I'm just recovering from using too much magic." she murmured, closing her eyes and leaning against Zeke's shoulder,"Just give me a few minutes so I can see straight." she muttered.

Johdzsia would have cuffed Ka playfully over the head, but she didn't want to hurt him with her claws. She settled, instead, for snorting hard enough that his clothes tightened around him slightly. Her eyes twinkled at him. You have many good qualities, you just need to acknowledge them. she said, and smiled.

Johdzsia grinned at Ka, her teal eyes twinkling with mischief. I don't think you have any bad qualities....except maybe bad morning breath. she teased, and her grin widened.

Ella opened one eye to watch Jia and Ka banter back and forth; so carefree and happy. She smiled as she watched them,"No, but thank you." she responded kindly, and slowly got to her feet. She wobbled slightly, then straightened and stood beside Zeke's head.

Ella lifted one hand above her head to form a shield of ice to protect her head. Even so, her blue-black hair was drenched, clinging to her soaked clothes in thick tendrils. With a mischievous grin, she extended her other hand out in front of her. A bubble of water formed above Ka, about two feet across and at least three and a half feet high. Her grin widened as she dropped her hand, and in turn dropped the bubble. It collapsed onto Ka, bursting into hundreds of individual droplets and soaking any piece of clothing that was not already drenched. She laughed in turn, her sapphire eyes glittering.

Johdzsia stood under the Seal, with the expression of a drenched angel that was trying very hard not to burst into laughter. Her eyes gleamed with humor, and she couldn't help it. She collapsed onto her belly and rolled, laughing so hard tears cascaded down her face, mixing with the water, and her sides hurt until she was gasping for breath.

Ella watched Ka warily as he got closer, but it was too late for her to leap out of the way and avoid the deluge of water from cascading on her. She lifted her hands to shield her face, but by doing that she released the shield of ice above her head. Her hair and tunic was drenched in just a few seconds. She threw her head back, flashing her white teeth in a wide grin, and laughed, her sapphire eyes twinkling.

Johdzsia scowled at Ka playfully, but the affect of her glare was completely lost in her appearance; water streamed down her face, neck, sides, and wings, making her look quite comical. A huge grin split across her face at Ka's spiky hair. Careful with those things; you might poke an eye out. she teased, then she was off again, laughing so hard her belly hurt.

Ella giggled behind a raised hand. Are you kidding? He'd love it. she replied, her eyes twinkling. She raised both hands getting ready to douse Zeke.

Johdzsia grinned mischievously, her teal irises gleaming. He'd get a kick out of it. she said with a hearty chuckle.

Zeke had watched the three companions play for several minutes. It was good to see Ella having fun. But as the friends went still he became suspicious. His eyes narrowed playfully. What are you three planning? he mock growled, trying hard not to crack up and give away that he was in on what they were thinking of doing.
