IC: Phalynx smiled and inclined her head. It's a pleasure to meet you, Elcyon. So you've lived on an island? How far from Alagaesia was it? she asked in curiousity. She doubted this dragoness worked for Galbatorix or other evils. A shy dragon such as Elcyon, one who carried around a book and quill, hardly gave off an "evil vibe." Evil dragons were usually quite bold, and they had little reason to be interested in more scholarly things such as writing. And there was no dark magic around her, as there would be if she worked for evil forces.

Equinox flew over the Spine. He hadn't been in this region for years now. He looked behind him, trying to see if anyone was following him. His side scales were slightly covered in dry blood becaue of a battle he had a few days ago, and he never managed to clean it off. He heard something in the distance, it sounded like to dragons so he flew in their direction. He enjoyed flying in the dark cool air. It was very soothing to him, even more so now that he was in the desert for awhile, the cold felt quite good against his scales.
He saw to dots in the distance sitting on the ground, and he flew towards them. He saw two dragons, one he didn't reconize and to his surprise the dragon was writing, or was writing. And the other dragon was the silver dragon Phalynx.
He landed next to them and said, Hi Phal. I haven't seen you for awhile. To the other dragon he said Hello, my name is Equinox, who are you?

Equinox did as Phal suggested, and cleaned the wound on him. They weren't all that bad, he had suffered worse, but he was glad to have them gone. He was glad for the offer to stay, he had been flying for awhile, and hadn't slept much.
Thank you, if you don't mind, is it all right if I stay here then? As for my injuries... they were from my rider Crimson. He has tried to kill me and my friends many times in the past. But do not worry, I lost him back a few days ago. He isn't anywhere hear here. Equinox replied to her and Elcyon.
Equinox saw two more dragons come. Wow, its getting to be a part here. he said to himself. Then to the new arrivals he said, Hello, my name's Equinox. What brings you two here?

Thank you Elcyon. It's alight though, I have been through a lot more than this. Thank you for letting me stay. said Equinox, though he left out that it was him who provoked the fight with Crimson this time. He heard something fly towards them and saw Kaileena. He had never seen a phoenix before and she startled him at first.
Hello, I'm Equinox. I've never seen a phoenix before. he said. He had heard about them in songs and ledgends, but had never actually seen one.
Are you alright? he asked Elcyon. Whatever happened to her didn't affect him or anyone else. He stopped himself from giving a small snarl. Whatever it was, he didn't see anything.

Equinox was slightly confused by what Elcyon said, but he understood part of it anyway, well, not too much actually. So when the happens, it shows you pictures? Is it of the future? he asked. A small shiver went over him as a cold breeze swept over him. He looked back at the phoenix, he had many questions to ask, but he didn't want to ask too many.
Where do phoenix's come from he asked Kaileena.

Equinox thought about what Elcyon had said. He wasn't sure what it was, something like that had never happened to him. It could be of the past, or you are going into the future and seeing what is to come. It has happened before, never to me though. he said. He doubted what he said, but it could be, she was probably right about it being from the past.
Equinox looked down at the ground as he listened to them talk about what they could do. He didn't let it show, but he felt odd, being around others who were so gifted, and all he could do was shoot lightning.

OOC: Sorry, I didn't notice it was my turn I'll post now though.

IC: Equinox looked at Elcyon, he wasn't sure if he should explain everything, but, he thought it would be good to get it out of him. Well, my rider, along Galedrim, one of my friend Quasar's riders is hunting us down. Its nothing that any of you need to worry about, I just worry that they might get killed because of me. he said, which was pretty much true, that was the reason why he left them while they were in the mountains, also the fact that they had to find Quasar's eggs, but, he didn't mention that to anyone.
Equinox was glad that everyone here seemed nice. He hoped that he wouldn't have to deal with someone trying to kill him or his friends for awhile.

Its alright Elcyon. replied Equinox. He remembered back before when he first met Quasar, Eris, Throat Ripper, and Galedrim, before Galedrim became a traitor. He remembered Crimson's promise, to kill all of his friends Throat Ripper... Equinox said to himself as he remembered vividly as Crimson stabbed Throat Ripper through the chest and killed him. I hope they do to... yes, I can shot lightning bolts. I discovered it by accident awhile ago, but I have mastered its use.Equinox gave a small laugh also, That's alright, I don't mind. What about you? Do you have any?
Thank you Phal. Yes, it does, though, I think we may be safe for now.he said. He doubted his own words though, after what he had seen in the Spine. He tried not to care right now, he tried to be more focused on what was going on right then, and tried not to think of his past, or the evils Crimson and Galedrim were doing.

OOC: I'm going to go ahead and pass, there needs to be a direction and since this is your first use of this character, I think it should be up to you to decide one

OOC: *whispers to Kit* She's gonna tell us her charry's history, so that she can start another rp for me and her. But that's still top secret for now. Then we can decide on a further direction.

IC: Phalynx listened intently to Elcyon, intrigued by what she relayed of her past. She was born of a white egg? Perhaps there was more to this curse she spoke of than an unusual attraction for shadow magic. Could it have been natural, or placed upon her by an outside source? Phalynx longed to see the tree where she was born, to examine it's magical properties. Surely with her magical vision she could see what would cause such a thing to happen, or at least clues to it.

Elcyon, if you wish to find answers, I would be more than happy to help. Your story intrigues me, and I'm afraid my curiosity cannot be sated by one vague tale, she said with an amused smile, You can consider me signed on to the task. Phal stepped forward in a dignitary fashion, her eyes gleaming with the thought of a new adventure.

Yes, I generate them from the air around me, I can still breath fire from my mouth like most dragons. Writing could be one, I don't know many dragons who can write. Like what? What have you seen in them? he asked, slightly concerned.
When he heard that she had come from a white egg, but born with black scales, he thought of Frazer, but that was different, before he was taken over by Crimson he had white scales that slowly turned to black. He shook his head at thought No, it can't b e. She doesn't seem like she's under another beings control. he said to himself.

Equinox flew up as the others perpaired to leave. I hope that you do find out, and that it is not of the future. Though, it does seem that the future of this world is very grim. Equinox said to Elcyon. Of course I'll come. I'm in for a bit of adventure. he said to her. He flew next to them as they went to leave.

All right then, have fun. You can count on it Elcyon, Ecivres said to those leaving. He then turned back toward home and took off, Shyra needed him, he could feel it.

Shyara knew what Ecivres had to do, she could tell from the mental link that had form since their mating. She was already in the sky before he left and watched him turn and leave then turn back to her friends and fell in line.

I don't know... Equinox said to Phal and Elcyon There is much trouble in the world, but, I guess your right. We must try and make the future into a better one. He gave a small growl of happyness as he flew in the air. It had been awhile since he flew with so many others, it was normally just him and Quasar.

OOC: I think I'll just skip for now, I'm not sure what the island looks like and I don't want to skrew something up.

OOC: lol I don't think Astral has that detailed a plan of the island's layout anyway.

IC: Phal swooped down low over the ocean, and then rose back to her usual position above the others. The island is beautiful, Elcyon. And it seems to have a much larger amount of wild magic around it than normal places. It has definately escaped the influence of Galbatorix, she said happily.

As they approached, the clear waters, sandy beaches, and deep forests all attracted her attention. This was certainly a place that had escaped the recent evils of the world. So will we be visiting the tree first? she questioned, wondering where exactly it was located.

I'm glad that it has. Hopefully Galbarotix does not ever find out about this island. Equinox said, from what he could tell of the island, it looked relitivly peaceful, at least, that's what he got out of it.

OOC: Well I'm back, but I need some info. Is the sickness thing just a fib or is it real?

IC: Shyara flew in next to Elcyon and waited for her to decided what should be done next. She could what she guessed to be the Tree, because it was separated from the rest of the surrounding forest. What do you want to do, I don't really want to go near that tree it makes me nauseous just looking at it.

Ramoth nodded in agreement; I can feel a very wicked power resonating from the center of it, I'm suprised that you are alive after being 'in' the tree.

OOC: Whoops! Didn't even realize it was my turn!

IC: Phalynx landed beside Elcyon, her gaze fixed upon the tree. The magic it emanated was strange. Long tendrils of it sank into the ground, spreading to the far reaches of the island. But, the magic wasn't being sent to the rest of the island, rather, the magic was pulling the darker, more evil magic into the tree. The tree was protecting the island from harm, but in doing so it was a huge source of evil magic itself.

Without a word, Phal began walking slowly, cautiously towards the tree. She started feeling sick from all the evil magic, so she reached out with her mind and cut a path through it. She bored deeply into it, but finally, when she was about a dragonlength from the tree, she could go no further. The magic in the center was too powerful, to condensed to penetrate without killing herself. Phal began backing away until she was out of reach of the danger zone. The tree, it is absorbing the evil magic from the island. It's protecting it, she said, confirming what Elcyon had already told them.

Equinox flew towards the tree, he didn't like the looks of it. It seemed to be holding, or controling some kind of evil magic. It may have been protecting the island, but would the long term affects be benificial to the island or not? He wasn't sure. He landed near Phal and Elcyon. He wondered what they would do about the evil strange tree.
Is it controling the island? he asked.

OOC: I'm not sure what I should put is there a direction I should be following? My characters can't do a whole lot for the present time, so go ahead and skip me

OOC: Right now we're just kind of talkin' bout how weird the tree is, and wondering what exactly it's doing.

OOC: Okay, I shall go now.

IC: Phal glanced at Elcyon and Equinox. This tree seems to be taking all of the dark magic and evil from the island, and absorbing it, itself. When you approach it, Elcyon, the magic doesn't shift or anything. You just seem to be able to go through it. I think you're connected to the tree, somehow, she said, making some guesses about the tree and how its magic worked.

OOC: Ok

IC: Equinox looked from the tree to Phal to Elcyon. He wondered if they were connected what that meant, could the tree have much dark magic? Were you hatched here? he asked Elcyon.

Well since it is NOT evil could we just put some sort of barrier around it to protect others from getting to close?

OOC: sorry really short and pathetic

Equinox looked at the tree and gave a low growl, Yes, we should protect it. This tree could mean even more in the future. he said.

OOC: Astral, isn't it your turn for this one?

OOC:... Maybe? lol, JK. Alright, folks, I'll finish this up.

IC:

Elcyon nodded, thankful for her friends’ support. She took a step back, bowing her head in respect. Then we best leave it where it is, she stated, looking at each one of them. If it will be important for the future, then we must not tamper with it. We’ve seen all that we’ve come to see. Let’s go.

With that, Elcyon took off into the sky, her friends along with her, and she knew that this was only the beginning of it all. Something about that specific tree was going to vital for them in the future, something that would change them…forever.
