ooc: *pat pat* Don't worry 'bout it Kit
As Shraya started to freak out when her foot fell through the tunnel it looked as if it was going to cave in. Fearing that the tunnel would cave in and she'd get stuck, Levina ran under Shraya's legs and out of the tunnel. She kinda felt bad about leaving Phalynx and Shraya in there, but they're dragons they'll find a way out, she told herself.

Re: A Different Home
Phal s'ucked in a breath, when Shyara accidentally hit the walls, sensing that something bad was going to happen. Something bad did. The silver dragoness darted forward, running as fast as she could and keeping behind Shyara. Suddenly, the floor began giving away. Shyara leaped over before it could get too large, but Phal's heart raced as she saw how large the gap had suddenly become. She ran as fast as she could, gaining momentum, before launching herself at the edge. With a frantic scramble of claws, she gained the edge and pulled herself out of the cave just before it gave away completely. Whew. That was fun, she said breathlessly, grinning.

Re: A Different Home
Eriel was visibly uncomfortable with the bear-hug she had just received. Fortunately, for her, Phal's timely remark provided the perfect excuse for any visible signals of her discomfort. The elf smiled awkwardly and brushed the dirt off her clothes. "Fun indeed." She laughed. "In fact, it was so fun, I never want to do that again!" Quicksilver snorted, irritated. Emrhyst let out a soft snarl. We're not out of the fire yet...
The wraiths formed a band of white around them, hissing and advancing threateningly.

Anthor let go of Eriel when the tunnel began to collapse. But, when he was sure everyone was safe, turned back to talk to Gornath, when he saw the bright circle of wraiths around him. He frowned angrily. He did nothing though, the wraiths had already prooved their power and he was next to useless against them. He said, "We have escaped your trap, now let us alone, I, nor my friends will harm your forest, nor will we try to harm you, please leave us alone so that we can save his sister." said the rider indication Pij and Kit.
Gornath was slightly less courteous when he saw the wraiths. He rowled lowly and said, I will do as Anthor said, but do not push me, I will hold my temper, so long as you do the same, said the large white dragon as he placed himself partially around the others in their group to protect them.

Yes, fun, Levina said sarcastically. But now that we have that little obstacle out of the way, I think proper introductions are required. Hello, my name is Levina. It's good to see all of you made it out of there safe, Levina said cordially. She turned and faced Kit, Shraya, and Pji. And it's good to see you guys again. When the wraiths appeared around them, she frowned, and walked under the large white dragon that got in between her and the wraiths. Hey! Go away! These guys obviously don't mean any harm, or they would've already destroyed the whole place! A couple of them live just outside of there, al they're doing is looking for his sister Arora... wait what?! Levina yelled. She ran back to Kit and Pji and demanded to know what the hell happened to their sister.

Re: A Different Home
OOC: sorry, I've been a little busy
IC: Kit ground his teeth at the wraiths, they were getting irritating. Kit was somewhat surprised by Evi reaction, "I figured you had seen it already. Well, my father kill my mother, then a group of lowlifes apparently attack the house, Arora hid in the forest, and hasn't been seen for about four months." Kit spoke quickly so he wouldn't collapse again.
You haven't heard anything about her have you, from the other animals or the wraiths?
Shyra was grateful for Evi's help, but didn't speak to her, they didn't really like each other all the much. Shyra could sort of understand Evi's disliking to her, Kit had chosen her over Evi.
Ecivres spoke to the wraiths, Please, we are only her to search and rescue, we will not harm this forest. Ecivres then spoke in the Ancient Language that if they let them alone, he would not hurt the forest.
OOC: Eriel, since you brought the wraiths in this time, you go ahead and control them, and remember they must speak through someone else.

Re: A Different Home
Phal was still grinning. She had thought the mad dash through the collapsing tunnel was fun. Her green eyes narrowed when the wraiths surrounded them once more. She was feeling a little angry at them considering they had nearly torn her wing out of its socket and left her feeling helpless, but she was forced to think in their terms. She and her friends were trespassors into these lands. Though the wraiths might be overprotective of their forest, it was not without cause. Phal gave a long sigh, calming herself down. She slowly stepped forward until she stood face to face with the central wraiths. She examined them closely. You know we mean no harm in coming here. In fact, if you ever need help in protecting this forest, I would be happy to assist you. I would never cause it any damage, and I can say the same for my friends, she said in the Ancient Language. She turned back to her friends, wondering if the wraiths would speak through one of them.

Re: A Different Home
OOC: My sincerest apologies for holding this up for so long >< I've bene very busy with school work lately.
IC: A lone wraith stepped forward and bared what appeared to be long silvery-grayish teeth-shaped wisps. Eriel shuffled back a step. The elf fought hard against her instincts yelling and screaming at her to draw her sword, but she knew how volatile the situation was. One false move, one poorly made decision, one moment of weakness could cost all of them their lives. The elf was so focused on the wraith who stepped out that she didn't noticed the hissing turn to snarls. 'The lead wraith', as Eriel would recall later, 'was taller and more menacing than the others, and he had an air of dread about him that besot the group with a deep fear'. It was this wraith who now stepped forward from behind the first wraith, passing right through its form like a shadow through mist. Lunging forward, the lead wraith passed through Kit's abdomen, stopping halfway through. Kit's facial expressions were forced into a grimace, and his jaw hung down from its hinges. (OOC: Hope the gm wasn't too much) "We have warned you." A low voice sounded from Kit's mouth. "We have warned you, and punished you, and you have ignored us." Eriel flinched as a hiss escaped Kit's lips. "Now, your friend will pay the ultimate price." The voice boomed outwards. "Not death, but the shredding of his very soul." It paused, and the forest grew quiet. "Unless you leave this place. Now."

Re: A Different Home
Anthor narrowed his eyes when the wraith made ts threat and began to think to himself of a spell that could help, but none came to his mind. He said, "Why would you do that, the man whose body you threaten to kill has lost his sister, the equilivant of you losing this forest. All he wants is to find her, and then leave. Did you never have any siblings, if not, what if some shade or spellcaster were to come here and scare away one of your wraith bretheren, would you not do all in your power to find them? So having heard this, will you still try to stop us from finding his sister?" asked the rider pleadingly, fearful for his friends life.
Gornath made as if to step toward the 9other wraiths but stopped when he heard what Anthor had said. He nodded his head and agreed with his rider, then moved back among their friends.

OOC: Since Fang is gone, I guess it is my turn. The order, for references, isKit, Draco, RiderEriel, Voenth.
IC: Kit suddenly felt displaced from his body and no control, followed by pain.
Shyra backed up what Anthor said, "Yes, we are not here to harm the forest. My own dragon is named after this forest, why would I let them destroy his namesake?"
Ecivres nodded, Yes, I feel I have a connection with this place. I won't allow any intentional harm done to it, you have to believe me, believe us.

Re: A Different Home
Phalynx felt her muscles tense, her wings come slightly away from her sides, her tail raised and curved slightly. We do not mean you harm. We do not mean your forest harm. We are here only to search for something that was lost. You know my words to be true by the Language I speak them in. You also know my power, she began, brushing her mind forcefully against the wraiths' to let them feel her magic, We can cast you from Kit's body before you can harm him, and my flame is harmful to you. But if you let us continue on our way, it will not come to that. The dragoness' eyes flashed with intense gold light, and her wings rose further. She was done playing nice; if these wraiths continued to threaten her friends, they would regret it.

Re: A Different Home
OOC: I think we'll try and wrap this up.
IC: The wraiths didn't seem to believe the others promises and Shyra was worried. Shyara was looking just as out of it as Kit was. She wanted to do something. She was sure Phalynx had the power, but could she do it in time to break the wraith from Kit before he became like them?
Ecivres touched Phalynx with his wing tip so that she could hear Shyra's thoughts. I don't think we have a choice, he added onto the end of it. I say on three we do it and hope for the best, else we lose without a fight.
I guess we have no other choice.
Phal, when I say 'zero' you rip that wraith from Kit and explode this place in you light, but be mindful of us if you use your really powerful light.

Re: A Different Home
OOC: Good idea.
IC: Phalynx eyed the wraiths, already preparing her mind for another purging. It had been a while since she had used her ability to purge the minds of others of outside influences, but she knew she could still do it. She would have to do it more rapidly than she had in the past, though, to get the wraiths out of Kit's mind in time. She glanced over Ecivres when he spoke and gave a tiny, barely noticeable nod. Close your eyes, then. I wouldn't want to burn out your retinas, she replied with a small smile. She tensed, waiting, as the dragon proceeded to begin the countdown. She hadn't tried banishing ghost or wraith-like creatures with her light, but in principle it should work. She just needed to make it as sudden as possible.
Before the word "zero" was even fully away from Ecivres' mind, Phal had seemingly exploded. A super-intense burst of light erupted from her scales, turning the world into nothing but light. Anyone looking at her would be blinded (perhaps even permanently). At the same time, her mind shot into Kit's, ripping through the wraith's presence and casting it out with a tremendous burst of power.
It was all over in only a few moments. When the light faded, Phal's limbs were trembling, and her head was throbbing with pain, but she had done it. It was rather interesting, actually, to be that explosive. She laughed silently at the thought.

Re: A Different Home
OOC: He didn't say Zero yet! but since I'm having you edit BiB, I'll work around this one. This one is much easier to work around.
IC: The other wraiths came out of hiding to where ever the lucky one were able to hide from Phalynx's burst. The unluckies were laying around in smoldering piles.
Shyra rushed to Kit and pulled him up, getting him as far away from the wraiths as possible.
The wraiths began chanting and almost as soon as they started the forest began to rumble and screech.
Shyara had been next to him the whole time, so Ecivres wasn't worried about her. He shot forward with his tail to try and skewer the wraiths. A tree root whipped out of the ground and stopped his tail. He jerked it back and tried again, but was stopped. The trees started moving in, surrounding them. Ecivres couldn't explain it, but there seemed to be a sense of hatred coming from the trees themselves.
Vines erupted from the ground and wrapped themselves around everybody. The quickness caught Ecivres off guard and was helpless once they had wrapped his mouth shut, and squeezed his limbs to his body.
Kit was starting to come back to himself and was horrified to find that we was tied up. The wraiths began to move closer and one drew a wicked looking sword shaped in a bolt of lightning. Kit struggles to to free himself, his mind wasn't focused enough to even attempt magic. The wraith raised his arm to strike and...
was blasted into a pile of ash by someone else. Several more landed, splashing the area in a liquidy light substance. It was warm and kind of felt like gravy when some splashed on Kit. When it landed on the wraiths a fierce howling burst forth and smoke began to appear as it burned them. The few that escaped unscathed went howling into the shadows. The trees and vines began to shrink back as well.
Kit looked around for who or what did that and saw a figure on the edge of clearing. "Arora?!"

Re: A Different Home
OOC: Oh I thought it was implied lol. Oh well.
IC: Phal's eyes snapped over to Kit and the others as she made sure he was okay. However, it seemed the wraiths had taken cover, and were now coming out once more. She bared her teeth and shot a few bursts of starfire at them, but didn't see until too late that the plants of the forest were suddenly coming to life and erupting from their positions. Vines quickly ensnared Phalynx, wrapping around her body and jaws so she couldn't let out any more starfire. She managed to fold her wings tightly to her body to prevent damage to them, but didn't know if she could get herself free. She experienced a brief moment of fear of being trapped on the ground, until a wraith aiming at Kit was abruptly blasted to ashes. The vines and trees relented their grip, and Phal twisted her head around to see who had come to help them.

Re: A Different Home
OOC: I suppose it is suggestive
IC: Kit pulled the remaining vines off and approached the girl that looked similar to his sister. "Arora is that you?"
The girl was dressed in an elegant white dress, but what ever beauty it had once held was gone now. It was shredded in several places and stained in earthen colors picked up from the forest. Her face was covered in scrapes and cuts and her dark hair was matted and looked like a jungle in itself.
"Yes, it's me," she said her eyes welling with tears. She hugged Kit tight to herself and cried silently.
Kit was shocked that this girl was his younger sister. She looked as if she had gone through a war, and with these wraiths, she probably had. Kit just held her in his arms. He remembered times like this when all he wanted for someone to hold him and not judge while he cried his eyes out.
Shyara felt the same way Kit did. Arora had been a good friend before they left Barret. She touched Arora's mind and was shocked by what she found. Ignoring it for the time being, she offered her comfort as well.
Shyra had been feeling sick, but had ignored it to this point. Seeing Arora the way she looked mixed with her own bodily nauseousness that she was suppressing, was to much. She backed from the group and then threw up behind a tree. She felt terrible.
Ecivres had never actually met Arora before. He only knew her from Shyra's memories of the twelve year old girl. He knew very little about this thirteen year old.
Are you okay?
Yeah I'm fine, don't worry about me. Just a little nauseous.

Re: A Different Home
Phal's eyes widened at Kit's words, and she examined the girl who had saved them. Was this really Kit's sister, Arora? The girl quickly confirmed herself to be Kit's younger sister, and ducked into her brother's arms. The silver dragoness glanced back and forth between the two. Despite Arora being covered in the grime of the forest, she could see the resemblance. Phal probably could have smelled it too, had she a better sense of smell...
Her gaze was caught by Shyra, who was walking away from the group. Her expression seemed rather nauseous to Phal, and the silver wondered why Shyra would be feeling sick. Turning back to Kit and Arora, Phal waited for them to break apart. She very much wanted to know how Arora had banished the wraiths and vines.

Re: A Different Home
When the sobs stopped, Kit gently pushed Arora back so he could see her face. "What happened to you?"
"Well, after the raid and everything, I got lost in this stupid forest. The wraith things were playing with me, moving trees and foliage. I just didn't know what to do. I remembered what Mom had always said about trusting your instincts when you have nothing left. That is what I did. In the time I've been here I've used magic to do so much stuff, it is like second nature to me. The wraiths have come to respect me and let me be, but by that time I was completely lost and they weren't going to help me get out. Then I found you guys a few minutes ago."
Kit wasn't surprised that Arora's magical abilities had helped her survive or that they'd gotten so strong. Ever since she was little, magic and Arora went hand in hand.
Arora had relaxed now and let go of Kit. She was scanning the group with him. She saw Pij, Shyara, Shyra, Levina, those she recognized; the others she didn't. When Arora spotted Shyra and Shyara, a small smile spread across her face which she quickly hid.

Re: A Different Home
Phal waited as Arora explained what had happened to her, glad that Kit was finally getting answers. She nodded thoughtfully after Arora had finished. The girl did have a very strong aura of magic around her, and the magic frequently brushed against the magic of the forest without any negative affect. This seemed to be physical proof that the girl had adapted well. Arora had begun to look around at the others, familiar with some of them already. Phal gave a friendly bow of her head. My name is Phalynx. I am very glad that you and Kit found each other, Arora, she said with a smile.

"Nice to meet you Phalynx. I am glad to have found him as well."
When Arora paused to take a breath, Shyara chimed in, She's my aunt, but the same age as me; at least as far how long we've been out of the egg.
Arora laughed at Shyara's comment. "That is really neat, though it doesn't surprise me, I can see a resemblance."
"What?! No way." Kit looked over at his blue-green dragon then to the silvery one. "I don't see any resemblance."
"That is because you want you want Shyara to be completely unique. She how she is standing there, her posture? It mostly matches Phalynx's, family inherited. I'm sure Shyara's mother does it as well."
Shyara, change stances. "See, she's standing different now," he said with a grin.
Arora elbowed her brother, but was grinning ear to ear. "I'm glad to be back. I don't suppose you remember how to get out of here now do you?"

Re: A Different Home
Phal dipped her head at Arora's response, still very happy that someone who was, in a way, part of her family had found a member of his own family. Family had always been very important to the silver. As the conversation continued, she grinned, and eventually began chuckling. Two-legs, human, elf, or dwarf, cannot perceive all the subtleties of dragonkind. There are some similarities between Shyara and myself, especially of scent. Families share smells, even to my rather poor nose, she put in with a laugh. Phal glanced between Kit and Arora when the girl asked about leaving. They could certainly find their way out, if they needed to.

Arora smiled, what Phalynx had said was nothing she didn't already know, but she didn't care. "I'm sure your nose works fine. Along with every defect is an affect." She crinkled her brow, "That doesn't sound right. Along with every defect is a... ah... is something that makes up for it," she decided, smiling again.
"Sure, we'll just go back the way we came. The dragons can't fly here, so walking will have to suffice. I'm sure if you ask any of them, they'll let you ride them too."
Shyara glanced at her aunt, she was the only one without a rider of some sort. She tilted her head toward Phalynx when Arora looked over at her, daring her ask. The girl wasn't sure should.
Shyra returned to Ecivres's side, feeling only slightly better. She felt off balance and her head was swimming.

Phal laughed at Arora's response, and shook her head. It works fine compared to, say, a two-leg. But compared to my kind, I am sorely lacking in the olfactory department, she stated with another few laughs. Phal might have the best sight of any creature, concerning light, but she didn't possess the best sense of smell. As Kit continued, she nodded. Walking would work. Hopefully the wraiths would cause them no further trouble. As Shyara looked at her, Phal smiled and turned to Arora. You may ride me, if you wish. I'm not a Bonded dragon, but I've carried people before. Though, you'll have to hold on tightly; my scales are somewhat slippery, she offered, her voice friendly.

Arora looked alittle nervous, but he could only tell because he'd known her her whole life. "Don't worry, she won't bite...much." He hoisted her up to the bare spot on Phalynx's back. "She shouldn't drop you."
Shyra, still very unstable needed help getting on Ecivres, and Levina was reluctant to help. Shyra felt somewhat sorry for the werecat, Shyra had come between Kit and Levina when she first met Kit, but there was nothing she could do about it. "Thanks."
Shyara, you take Pij, I'll catch up in a bit, I want to talk to Evi for a second.
Be careful. It was not that Shyara didn't trust either of them, it was that she didn't trust the way they had split up and the effects thereof. Alright, let's go, she said to the rest.

Phal lowered herself into a crouch as Kit helped his sister onto her back. Arora sat neatly between the gap in the silver's crest between her neck and back. Kit's right. I won't drop you unless something forcefully causes me to, which shouldn't happen, she reassured with a smile, twisting her head back to glance at the girl. The star-silver found it strange every time she carried a two-leg; it was just a foreign feeling. She didn't really mind, though, and was happy to help. It was easier to pick your way through brush and brambles with four legs than with two, or so she guessed. Phal looked towards Kit when he stated that he wanted to talk to Levina. She supposed they did have some catching-up to do. She turned away and nodded to Shyara, waiting for the blue and green dragoness to lead the way. Though Phal could see all the paths through the trees, she didn't know this forest.

Shyara tried to keep her mind focused on guiding the others, but a small part was listening in to Kit's conversation. Shyara was able to lead them back just out of sight of Kit, but wasn't sure where to go after that. Surprisingly it was Arora who took over as the guide. She did know the exact path, but was confident in the general direction they needed to be heading. It was harder to get a sense of direction now then when they first entered.
Shyra chose to walk beside Ecivres, feeling that the bumping back and forth on his back would not help her situation. She was anxious for Kit to get back, but more so she was racking her brain to try and figure out what had made her sick. She was getting no where close to the truth.
Ecivres suddenly had a weird sensation as if another presence whisked in for a second then blink out. It did it several times and by then he wasn't sure if it was just one, or actually two, or if they really existed.

Re: A Different Home
Phal followed Shyara for the first part of the distance, and then Arora began giving out the directions. It didn't surprise the silver; it was she, after all, who had rescued them from the wraiths and the plants. The girl had spent a lot of time among these trees. As they walked, the dragoness was a little surprised by the level of silence. Ecivres and Shyra both seemed very distracted. (Shyara did as well to some degree, but Phal guessed she was concentrating on her rider.) She decided to voice her thoughts aloud. You both seem very quiet. Is something on your minds? she asked with faint concern, turning her head around to look at both dragon and rider.

"Hmm, what? Oh! Well I've just been feeling sick and I don't know what is going on. I didn't eat anything bad that I know of. I definitely didn't get sick because of stress or anything. I feel like I should know, but I can't put my finger on."
I just had a weird feeling is all, but not like a sick feeling or anything. That was all he was willing to say at that point because he was still unsure if it was actually real or not.
Arora looked over the the pair from Phalynx's back. She wanted to keep it a surprise, but couldn't help it is at this point. "Isn't it obvious? You just got sick, in the morning?"

OOC: lol this should be good.
IC: Phal tilted her head as Shyra explained her distraction. It did remind her of something she had heard once, but she didn't know what of. When Arora spoke, the silver detected the note of cheerful smugness in her voice. She seemed to know exactly what was going on, and Phal guessed she was enjoying the opportunity to reveal it. You know I think I've heard something about this somewhere in the past... something about being sick in mornings... but I don't remember where. You really shouldn't hold out the suspense too long, Arora, she spoke with a grin, her last sentence edged with playful annoyance. Why didn't the girl just come out and say it?!

Re: A Different Home
Kit watched Evi disappear back into the forest and his heart sank somewhat. At least things are settled, he told himself and now we have a map. He turned in the heel of his foot and ran in the direction of the others it took him only a few seconds at a dead run.
He approached as Phalnyx mentioned something about Arora keeping them in suspense. "What's going on?"
"Your little sister says there is something significant about me being sick this morning."
"You were sick?" He got a glare from Shyra and then turned his gaze to his sister and she cocked and eyebrow. His eyes lit up as he connected the dots and memories of Alandry, his mother, came back to him from when she was pregnant with Arora.
He wasn't surprised that Shyra didn't know. The Elf birth rate was small to nothing, so who would tell her? He did understand why Arora hadn't said something, yet. He wanted Shyra to guess this, it would be more important to her than him, but only slightly. "Remember than night a few weeks back before we decided to come her? What would become of that that would lead to be sick in the mornings?" He almost rolled his eyes at her quizzical look, but he said no more. "You think about it while we walk," he said showing the map.

Phal noticed Kit approaching through the trees. He quickly entered the conversation, as it seemed Arora would reveal no more. She was annoyed at the look of realization that passed over his face. He seemed to be intent on keeping her in the dark, as well. Phal listened carefully to what he was saying, trying to puzzle out what was going on. By his tone, the sickness was nothing to worry about... and maybe a good thing, if she was reading him correctly. Abruptly, the silver remembered exactly where she had heard something like this: with Eriel! Oh! I get it! she suddenly exclaimed very loudly, and immediately quieted herself with embarrassment. She shook her head in slight bewilderment. Two-legs, and mammals in general, were so odd... But her memories of Eriel and Kit's tone when he referenced a certain time in the past were clear enough clues. Phal strode cheerfully ahead, swishing her tail. She was rather pleased with herself for knowing what was going on, considering the substantial species differences.

Re: A Different Home
Several hours later, Shyra still hadn't guessed the correct answer and Kit, as well as everyone else, was getting alittle annoyed. It was funny at first, to be able to tease her about it, but now it was just becoming a nuisance.
Kit looked at Arora, "I think we should just tell; hints are not working."
"Well I do have one more hint that'll work."
"Let's hear it then."
"Okay. Let's see how to put this. I know of a, a colorful lizard that is suffering the same fate."
Kit stopped dead in his tracks, as well as the two dragons. He looked at Shyara, "You're pregnant?!"

Re: A Different Home
Phal continued walking in silence, wondering when, or even if, Shyra would get it. She didn't blame the elf, though. From what she knew, pregnancies among elves were extroardinarily rare. When Arora and Kit finally gave out the last clues, the silver was completely distracted from Shyra, her attention riveted on Shyara. You're going to lay eggs? You never told me! she cried in excitement to her niece. Sure enough, a quick glance told Phal that a new life was indeed emerging in the blue and green dragoness. When the egg shell was fully formed and the baby dragon inside was ready to hatch, the egg would be laid and could hatch at any time. The silver trotted along quite happily now, feeling quite excited. Her own eggs were still safe and sound in Unity, and when she had last been with them (before this journey) they had seemed ready to hatch. Perhaps when she got home they would. The thought of her own children as well as these new lives put Phal into a state of giddiness and almost bubbly cheer. Oh, have you and Ecivres thought about names yet? And where the nest will be? she asked happily, looking towards Shyara.

Re: A Different Home
Well it sort of came as a surprise and this is really the first time since it happened that I've seen you.
At Kit's nod, Shyra squealed with joy. She threw her arms around Kit's neck and squeezed him tight. "Can you believe this?! We're going to have a baby! Oh, I'll have to tell Arya, she'll be so excited! Hopefully she's home again!"
Kit struggled to free himself from Shyra suffocating hug.
She noticed and let go. "What?! Aren't you excited?" her tone dull alittle.
He took hands and said, "Of course I am, I'm just not into the killer hugs you give," he said with a laugh. "But you know what I do like?" Before she could answer and leaned in and kissed her, packing every bit of joy and happiness and love into it as he could. She melted as she usually did when he kissed her this way.
As Kit and Shyra were enjoying their intimacy, Shyara looked over to Phal to answer her question. The nest might be around the home in the Spine, but I think Islanzadí will insist we keep it in Ellesméra when we tell her. As far as names, I think we decided on Cassie if it's a girl and Blade if its a boy.

Re: A Different Home
Phal chuckled at Shyara's first reply. Of course that was reasonable; the silver had simply been too excited to take notice. She glanced toward Kit and Shyra as they celebrated, and then turned her full attention back to her blue and green niece, eagerly awaiting Shyara's answers. The Spine would be nice, but Ellesmera, or anywhere in Du Weldenvarden, would be safer. And those are lovely names. I can't wait to actually use one of them, she stated, a wide smile plastered over her face, Oh! This means I'll be a great aunt, doesn't it?! Phal laughed at her last statement. She couldn't contain her delight at the prospect of her family growing even larger. And what about you two? You must come up with a few names, as well! she cheerfully told Kit and Shyra.

Kit let Shyra go of his kiss but kept her hand in his as they walked. "Well," Kit had been thing about this since shortly after he found out, "I suppose we'll have to discuss it."
Obviously, but don't you have an idea of a name? Shyara interjected.
"I did, until you stole it!" Shyra said, somewhat teasingly. "Let's see. I like Kayla for a girl and... Jesse for a boy."
Kit groaned. Phal had just opened the can of worms a lot sooner then he wanted. Even so, Kit wanted his names put out the same amount of time so no one could get used to the names. "I like Elika for a girl and Jason for a boy."
Kit could see the small frown on Shyra's face at his names so he quickly added, "Which do you like Phalynx? Any input would be nice." Kit picked Phal because she'd be the most objection in the group.

Re: A Different Home
Phal looked back and forth between Shyra and Kit as they seemed to think it over. Names were really one of the most important things, in her opinion. In fact, the silver realized that she needed to decide definitively on names for her own hatchlings. She had many ideas in mind, but she and Aeraldi hadn't made the final decisions yet (they would wait until they saw the hatchlings and knew their personalities a little before that). At last, Shyra spoke her own options, and Kit quickly voiced his. Phal nodded, thinking them over. Suddenly, Kit put her on the spot by asking her opinion. The silver paused, slightly alarmed. Oh dear. I'm not sure I want to be in the middle of this. I would say wait until you see the child, but two-leg personalities don't really show up right away, do they? In that case, I think I will split between you. I like Jesse and Elika, she replied with a laugh.

Re: A Different Home
Kit was silent. He has somewhat expected something like this from Phalynx and while he liked both his names, he was glad at least one was chosen.
Shyra didn't like Phalynx's choice of a girl name. She didn't really like the name Elika, though she couldn't explain why. Ever since she first heard it, she hadn't liked it. It was Arora who mentioned it first, though what she had said besides the name, Shyra wasn't sure.
"Hey look! Were getting close to the edge of the forest!" Arora shouted suddenly.
Shyara couldn't hardly wait to be out of the forest. It would feel so good to stretch her wings. She was also very glad that it had taken them only a fraction of the time to get out as it had to get in. But behind the happy exterior Shyara was sending Ecivres a message. We must stay objectionable in this, which means no input on their names. I can tell this is going to be another stressor.

Re: A Different Home
Phal shook her head with an amused sigh. Oh dear; what have I started? she wondered, Maybe there are times when it's better not to ask questions. Phal laughed at the thought, though she wasn't sure if she regretted her inquiry yet. At Arora's exclamation, the silver perked up, wings tingling in excitement. Finally! I was not built for the ground. I think it's time to leave it! she cried happily, peering forward to find out if she could see the edge. The magic of the forest still made it hard for her to see very far with any form of light, but she realized that she could just make out the thinning of the trees that marked the edge of the forest. Phal grinned and picked up speed, eager to leave the trees behind. The first thing she would do would be to leave the ground. Before she got ahead of the others in her eagerness she paused and turned back to her friends. And I'm sure you'll give your child a lovely name. All four of those were quite nice, and who knows. You may decide on an entirely new one! she stated encouragingly.

Re: A Different Home
She right you know, and besides, you have several months to figure it out, don't worry about it right now. Ecivres left it at that and ran after Phalynx.
Shyara nodded. Yeah, don't worry about it. Come one let's get out of this freaky forest.
Kit took Shyra's hand and kissed it, we can discuss it later. He grinned as she spoke. Then began pulling her forward after the Dragons. Knight and Arora had set out after Ecivres, but even the fastest horse in the region couldn't keep up with three excited Dragons.
OOC: I think I let you go ahead and describe the place outside the forest. I'm just going to say that we should come out somewhere near the North Sea, not ocean.

Re: A Different Home
OOC: Okey dokey. Fairly northern-ish climate then, I'm guessing? I'll use that lol.
IC: Phal laughed at the family behind her, grinning as Ecivres and Shyara bolted forward with her, all of them eager to leave the trees behind. As they approached the edge of the forest and the odd mists cleared, the silver could make out a large cold area ahead. In fact, it looked like water. She sprinted the last few dragonlengths, almost going too fast to avoid branches. At last, the trees thinned enough. She spread her enormous wings to their full extent and, with a powerful downbeat that felt absolutely magnificent, launched herself into the air. She shot above the trees with her first downstroke, and the second brought her fully clear of them and into more spacious skies. Ahead of them, pine trees mixed with a few deciduous were scattered over some grass and meadowland, which eventually fell away into rocky cliffs. A little to the north the land sloped more gently, and there was a full beach head and a few low hills of sand-laden grass stretching from the turbulent, grey waters. The air was cold, but refreshing, and the roiling waves looked even more so. Phal felt the urge to dash over to the coast and play in the rough waters, but knew better than to bolt off like a hatchling. There is a large body of water ahead... not the ocean, though, she told her grounded companions, gesturing for Ecivres and Shyara to see for themselves.

Re: A Different Home
Shyara jumped to the sky with Phalynx and Ecivres, but Shyara kept going up, into the gray clouds. She took in several deep breaths of the watery air. It felt so fresh, almost as if she was experiencing it again as newborn dragon. She dropped down into the visible air again and gently soared above the others.
Kit and Shyra pulled up to stop next to Arora, Pij, and Knight at the top of the beach. It took him only seconds to recognize the waters. "This is the North Sea, though we'd need to go north around the coast to find Barrat. Then we can leave Pij and Arora there and head back into the fight."
"Whoa! Leave us there? I ain't staying there!" Arora said.
"Yes, you are," Kit told her.
"I don't really want to go back either," Pij interjected.
"Just where do you think you are going to go?"
"We'll come with you."
"No, you won't!"
"Fine then we'll go to Ellesméra. We should be safe there, not that that is a big deal. I mean I just survived out here all by myself!"
Shyra chuckled. "You are going to have to give in you know," she said to Kit, "Your sister is very stubborn and once she gets her mind set, there ain't no changing it."
She's right.
You are supposed to be backing me up! Kit said, but knew the Shyara just rolled her eyes, grinning. "Fine, we need to go there anyway."
"We do?" Shyra asked surprised.
"Yes," Kit said as he touched her stomach as he kissed her. "I think we need to find out a few things, don't you?"
Shyra half bit her bottom and smiled, "Yeah, both of us do right Shyara?"Shyara roared down her reply.
I suppose that's settled. Ecivres looked over at Phalynx flying next to him, What about you Phalynx? What are you going to do?

Re: A Different Home
Phal spiraled and danced through the sky, enjoying the wind currents that swept through the open air. She couldn't stop herself from performing a series of aerobatics in her excitement. She saw Shyara swooping out of the grey clouds that were scudding above, soaring over the rest of them. The silver looked down, listening in on the two-legs' conversation and laughing in amusement at Arora and Pij. The two certainly were very stubborn, as Shyra said. Ecivres turned to Phal and asked what she was going to do now. I think I'll follow you all to Du Weldenvarden, if you don't mind. I need to get back home, and Ellesmera is on the way. I have been away long enough, I think, she replied with a smile, starting to feel a little anxious. She had been away from her three eggs for about a week now, and wanted to return to them.

Kit ran his hand through his hair. "Alright, give me a second to figure our direction."
"Why don't we just ask Phal to tell where she sees those wild flames of magic that surround the forest? Can you tell us that Phalynx?"
After Phal told them, Kit asked Pij if he would be alright riding on Shyara, since he would be more apt to keep up with Knight and Arora now that he was a Rider.
"I guess I could do that. As long as she doesn't drop me..."
"Don't worry she won't. She only does that to me, and only in playful fun."
Shyara dropped down the ground next to them. I promise I won't drop you.
Pij still had a worried look on his face until Arora piped up and said, "I'll ride her if you are too scared Pij." He swallowed his fear and climbed up to her back before Arora could get a chance to move.

Re: A Different Home
Phal nodded to Kit, and then showed them all an image of the magic of the forest. Hopefully now they could be on their way. The silver realized that since she had started thinking of her clutch, she could not stop. They were ever-present in her mind, and now her actions were going to be based on getting back to them. She smiled faintly as she remembered them: the medium-blue with black and white streaks, the white with silvery markings, and the lovely gray. Pij eventually consented to riding Shyara after some reassurance, and Phal chuckled as her niece informed him that she would not drop him. She wondered what it was like to carry the two-legs everwhere... she didn't think she would be suited to it. Her scales were too smooth and slippery. Lead on then. You know the way, now, she said to Kit and Shyara, stepping back to give herself room to take off.
