i know there are already like a billion topics on this, but i just want to narrow it down to 1 single vote on who the next rider will be.

i don't want this to be an arguing/debating topic, i really just want the votes.

i know this'll probably be locked, but i just wanted to see what percentage of people believed what, so i really hope not.

sorry to say, but um hrothgar and brom are dead, and and hrothgar and orik are dwarves, shich cant be riders, i mean, orik was the first dwarf to ride a dragon. and werecats weren't in the pact like dwarves urgals, razac,etc

i know, but some people think some pretty weird things, so i put em' on just in case

I vote for Nasuada, but you should have put an other in. Like you said, people get crazy ideas so you need EVERYONE from Katrina to Garrow to Saphira! I actually did sorta think Saphira for aprox. 7 seconds. Then went back to Nasuada.

because sometimes people can have some pretty weird theories about who the next rider is

REASONS WHY:
1.)Training would be quicker, for Arya already knows most of the stuff Eragon is learning.
2.)Better chance of saving of saving Alageasia.
3.)Everthing on I'MNOTCRAZY's signature.

except for a few off the wall ideas the main options people think are nasuada , roroan and arya

well , nasuada , i can see where people are coming from when they say we know nothing of her past , which is true but she's leading the varden know , the council said that eragon would be unsuited to lead the varden as he was a rider and could be more use elsewhere. if it was nasuada , what's gonna happend to the varden while shes training ? you can't leave it in the council's hands.. it would take to long for her to train anyway.. you need an elf really , to keep balance , because they are stronger and are already practised in magic

as for roran , loads of people think roran becasue he is releated to eragon as eragon is related to murtagh but they would be releted via his mother so if morzan is eragon's father and thatsh were murtagjh and eragon get the rider gene from then that wouldn't go to roran

besides, roran i think will fight in the last big showdoen thingy , as he sees it as his duty to help bring down galby but then he will want to live on a farm with katrina not go charging about with a dragon. CP has to give the varden the best rider they can to make it feesable ( sp, pronounced- FEE-za-ble) that they would have a chance of beating galby, arya is that best chance so surely he wil give them that chance?

Yeah, Brom can't be the next rider so the only possible choices would be Arya and Roran. Vanir doesn't play much of the role and he only shows up like 4 times in the book.

I think it will more likely be roran because Arya has too many responsibilities already, and if roran became a dragon rider it would be two dragons vs. two lethrblaka (spelling?) and he could get Katrina better.

i know that vanir doesnt play much of a role in book 2 but i still think he is the most likely rider. he is strong, smart, and athletic. by the way, nasuada wasnt a very major character in book 1 but she was one of the major characters in book 2. the same may apply in book 3.

But he was not even in Eragon. Then also the way he acts no dragon will want him as their rider.

its not the way he acts towards others it his heart that matters, and i think in his heart he wants to fight against galby. remember how emotional he was before eragon became "elf like?" he was very mad because he didnt think eragon deserved the honor.

That does not solve the problem of him not being a major character in all three books. That is why I believe it is Arya or Roran

thats what i was saying earlier, he wasnt a major character before but in the next book he will be. JW: what are your reasons for thinking arya will be the rider. i think she is a possibility too but i just want to know what your thoughts are.

Solumbum will not be it, he is not even one of the proper races, he is more like a cat than a human. Plus I do not think he would want to be a dragon rider.

I think Ayra will be it. Although he did say that it was going to be unexpected... so maybe it won't be her since everyone thinks it will be

1)Eragons vision in the first book shows 2 dragons and a man and a woman going on a ship
2)in the interview with cp he says eragon is goin 2 leave alagaesia
3)because she is a young elf with green magic so she would fit as the next rider
4)because its got 2 be a female

and because eragon loves her she should be the next rider!!!!!
