I'm sure they will keep the deadline. They have so many people waiting for this game. It might even beat MW2 as far as the most purchased game, but we'll have to wait and see.

Never played the first one, but I'm playing the second one and I have to say it's really good and I really like it so far.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Normally I'd tell you to play the first one, but the first one is kind of slow going, not because of the story line, but because of the menu options. ME2 did really well making the menus short and simple so you don't even really notice it. The first one didn't do very well on that detail, but hey it's a learning process.
Anyway, I would suggest, if you decide to play through ME2 again, that you download the Genesis DLC. That gives you an opportunity to make all the important decisions from the first game, all the ones that have a huge impact anyway. I've got the first one so I've never tried it, but I think it is basically a video showing what happened in the first one and when big decision comes up, they let you decide what happened.

I'll probably end up playing Mass Effect 1 sometimes before Mass Effect 3 comes out anyways.
But yeah, count me in, I'm completely excited now!

I played two on the PS3 in my friends house, bought one and two for my Xbox and now I am emotionally invested in my Shepard, so although I am really excited to reek havoc on the reapers BRING IT ON YOU ALIEN SCUM I am also hugely concerned that if I make the wrong choice I could lose a guy that I spent about 6 months getting the perfect play through on. I will admit that two is the better game and that the choices from one did not affect my play through on two Bioware has stated previous choices are going to be of big impact on who stays or goes in this one. I'm glad I saved the Rachni now, every ally counts.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Saw one of the developers at the software engineering conference that I went to two weeks ago. Did you know that the game is being created in Montreal, there are many game studios over here. Well anyway that was not the subject of the lecture where he was the speaker, but he was saying that it was almost done.
It's coming, though that I let everyone know that is reading this topic

Yeah late march release date in Europe as far as I know, which is usually a day or two within the States one and every where else depends on their distance from the studio's production centre.
Yeah Montreal is becoming a huge place for games programming and development. I've got three more years in my course and then I'm hoping to get in with either Bioware or Ubisoft Montreal.

I haven't finished the game yet... about two thirds done, but I can tell you it's one of the best games I've ever played. Definitely better than the first two.

I'm furious, I deleted my old ME2 game because of a save game error and forgot to play-through again to make a completed save... Now I gotta go through #2 again so that I have my save game for ME3.... So angry.

I don't usually complain to much about games, but this one was well you know if you've played. For those that want their voices heard a little louder, check this page out on Facebook.

I completely agree. The gameplay was improved and is much more fun and fluid. The story touched me in ways I didn't think it could(particularly the geth; I didn't think they would be able to make me wanna cry a little).
Too bad the last 10 minutes were incredibly disappointing.

Re: Mass Effect 3
I absolutely loved the game up until the very end. The three choices were simple, but what struck me as insane, or even bad plot, is that the Shepard Character, no matter what you did, didn't get the happy ending that he most rightly deserved at the end of the game. Not to mention that it turns out that the romantic attachments you make within the game are completely worthless in the end, again being that Shepard can't enjoy it at the end.

Even if it wasn't a a happy ending, I at least wanted some closure, to find out what happened to everyone, you know? But there was no closure at all :/

Re: Mass Effect 3
Even something like Dragon Age (origins) epilogue would be fine, you know?
"Ashley became a high ranking specter, was killed on a mission in batarian space in 2204"
etc etc
The premise of the ending was completely invalidated by a choice you could have made on Rannoch. That's what gets me.

Have you guys heard about the Indoctrination Theory? No idea whether it's true, but it was argued really well. By the end of the video, it had me nearly convinced. Except I want to be skeptical so I don't get disillusioned of it's false. Here's a video explaining it:

I've heard that Bioware is now going to release some DLC's that will alter the ending to Mass Effect 3. Anyone else know anything about it?

If they explain the plot holes and bring some closure then I'll be satisfied.

Right now the game is still 60 bucks at any retail store. Unless you buy it pre-owned.
