Shadow of Doom, Saving Fire

Gender: Guy Affiliation: Dragonriders	Shadow of Doom, Saving Fire OOC .::. this is for anyone to join. and trust, me it's gonna be a good one lol IC .::. Mesaraih and Fenirexes were about to fall asleep on the fringes of the Beor Mountains, thinking about the past, and unfortunately for both of them, relatively dark thoughts. They were sleeping early, and the sun was only just setting. The orange horizon was beatiful, and the invisible peaks of the mountains were given a rather shiny and lustrous look to them. Everything seemed at peace... until the sun was completely blocked off by a shadow of an extremely black darkness. Mesaraih started up and Fenirexes' head snapped up. Then he quickly jumped on Fenirexes' back and flew deeper into the mountains. A heavy instinct drove him that way. Something terrible had been unleashed, he feared. Rezekiel looked at the strange object that he had found in the old ruins of the temple nearly hidden from view. This land held many interesting secrets indeed. It was a black orb that at first he had not thought tangible, but once he touched it he realized that it was as tangible as a ball. He picked it up and searched it with magic, but it resisted his efforts. Rezekiel smiled and used his invented spell to tap into the magic he knew was in it. Suddeny, a great shadow has split from it and launched itself at the sun. Everything was shrouded in darkness. Not more than a few weeks in Alagaesia and he had already changed it dramatically. He laughed softly and waited at the spot, knowing that the rest of the drama would come to him. _________________

He walked outside the cave and streched his wings, then gave a roar of delight, the Sun was just beginning to show over the mountains and the entire valley was coming to life, the night hunters, the shyrrg and such were returning to their dens and Zelyts could hear the noise of the awakening dwarf town some two miles away. Zelyts leapt into the air and flew to the higher elevations of his mountain to look around. It was an awesome sight, that is untill everything went black. He could hear distressed cries from the dwarven village and from the animals in the valley. He roared out in distress, then he saw a rider and a dragon, both were much bigger than he was, but he still flew up. He said, What is happening, did you do this? Who are you?! He understood why it was reacting in that way, it was no good thing to see the sun suddenly just get blocked off. No, calm down, Mesaraih said. We didn't do it, we never would. But I get the feeling that whoever did do it is that way, he said, pointing in the eastern direction that they were going. If you want, you can come with us. _________________

Thanks. IC: Syllwin flew over the Beor Mountains, memories of dread sweeping over her like a cold wave. It made her feel quite depressed, remembering that this was the place where she met that so-called general who told her many things, things she wanted to be left in the dark corner of her mind. But every time she passed over these particular mountains, that corner would be shrouded in light once again, and everything was as clear as day for her. Things have been quiet for her, Syl had mainly been sweeping over the land to enjoy her solitude. However, things were once again not all peaceful. She lowered herself in the sky, when she realized that something was wrong...so very wrong. I wonder what has happened? she thought to herself, flying even lower to search the ground. Said Zelyts, stressing his point by changing from a dragon to a cave bear, then a naurogarm, then back to a dragon. He said, But thanks for the offer and for pointing me in the direction. He thought he sensed a presence nearby but was not sure. He shrugged it off and flew towards east, with the other dragon. Soon, they came upon a man standing in a distant treetop, and Fenirexes sped towards him. Mesaraih recognized him as Rezekiel, the man who had caused no end of destruction ever since setting foot in Alagaesia. He was sure that it had been him who did it. Rezekiel smiled as he saw the arrival of two dragons and a Rider that he recognized. As they got closer, he put his hands up, in a gesture as if he had given up, smirking. "I swear it wasn't me!" he shouted. I just grabbed this thing and it happened!" He took out the black ball, then started to laugh uncontrollably. Mesaraih looked at Rezekiel furiously. "Liar!" he shouted, and jumped off Fenirexes' back, drawing his sword and igniting it with flames as he hurtled towards Rezekiel. Rezekiel quickly drew his own, parried Mesaraih's attack, and kicked him off the tree. "Are you still so stupid as to face me head on?" he asked, still smirking. _________________

They seemed to be in a great hurry, and Syl could see why. She followed them until they came across a man in a tree. He was holding some kind of black orb in his hand, and the evil energy that he emitted was unplesant. That was probably the trouble she could smell from earlier. I think I recognize those two... she murmured to herself. It looks like Mesaraih and Fenirexes... Syl decided to keep out of it for a bit more, just to see what the situation was heading towards. IC: Zelyts quickly flew away and changed into the form of a cave bear, one of his favorite forms. He silently crept up behind the man that Mesariah had attacked. Gender: Guy Affiliation: Dragonriders	Re: Shadow of Doom, Saving Fire Rezekiel's eyes widened as he heard something big attack him from behind, then composed himself and jumped as high as he could in the air, launching a black ball of energy at the cave bear. He did a backflip from the tree and landed with one hand on the ground and his other holding his sword at a right angle with the other, and his face looking down. Slowly, he picked his head up and looked at both of them. He started to charge up energy for a powerful attack, but as soon as he did, something seemed to click inside the black orb, as if it recognized the magic that Rezekiel was using, which was strange. Unless there had been someone from his homeland here before, it seemed unlikely for anything here to recognize black magic. Then, a black current of electricity surged through his whole body, causing him great pain. He didn't scream, but he felt a lot like doing so. The pain was great, even for him. What had he found? Then, suddenly, the pain stopped. Some black electricity still crackled around him somewhat, but he didn't feel the pain anymore. Black flames licked around his body, and he felt more powerful than he ever had in his life. He slashed his sword at the air, sending a wave of black magic towards them, so fast that neither had time to so much as blink before it hit them, and when it did, they were blown backwards several feet. Mesaraih quickly stood up, clutching the place where the attack had hit him. He was not sure how they were going to be able to defeat him now that he was this strong, but he felt confident that there was a way. He looked at Rezekiel, who did not smile or smirk this time. Instead, he was looking down at his hands, as if he was only just taking everything in. Then he looked up again and finally smiled. He outstretched his arms and black ghosts swirled around his body, then he disappeared. And then, even as Mesaraih looked, strange creatures seemed to rise up out of the ground from his place. They resembled very large men, about twice as tall. They were slim, though, not bulky, as if made for speed, but he could tell they were deadly. They had four arms, and the two outer ones did not have any hands, but black swords swirling with energy. They were completely black, and almost seemed to be made of black smoke, but he could tell they were very real. One of them quickly ran up to him, a black ball of energy in his hand. Mesaraih tried to move out of the way but the creature was slightly faster than him, and it punched him in the stomach with the black ball of energy. Mesaraih's eyes widened in pain as he was sent flying the opposite way. Then, the black beast jumped in the air and came down with his sword to stab Mesaraih. Mesaraih knew that he would not be fast enough to parry, so he had to blow the creature off with a fireball. Even then, it quickly got up and dashed towards him once more. This isn't good, he thought. It was faster, more powerful, and just as smart as him. Another one went towards Zelyts, changing to a cave bear as it passed, with four arms also, and on the two outer paws extremely long claws that looked like several long blades. Another one turned into a dragon with two heads protruding from the neck and flew off towards someone Mesaraih could not see. The last one changed likewise and flew towards Fenirexes, who growled his challenge. He knew that these things were all more powerful than each of them, but there had to be a way to win. All they had to do was stay alive until they figured it out. _________________

Things were working perfectly,and it had only just begun. Soon he would have what he was looking for, and then his...friend...would rise again. The young shade smirked. He had the cover he needed, and thanks to his ally he also had a very wide knowledge of magic. If he could insert himself as the good one's friends than he would have a means of getting what he needed. And since the ends always justified means in his opinion, it wouldn't matter what happened to them after get got the thing he wanted. His task in mind, the shade altered himself to look like a very wise and powerful elf even though the form disgusted him. Jareth would have to use it though, because he needed to become their temporary ally. Then he could go back to the right time and give his humble offering to the great dragon. OOC: Just thought I'd use this RP as a springboard for my new RP. Drat! For some reason the Font Colour bar isn't woking!! _________________ Murtagh Forever!!! but seriously the guys dead...
