How do you think Christopher Paolini will end the series? Eragon leaving Alagaesia, or some sort of epilogue about the next generartion of Dragon Riders?

This is not for theories, just for the last scene or story.

Mine is this: The scene of Eragon leaving Alagaesia with the shadowed characters filled in. I am also hoping for an epilogue with some sort of definitive ending, but these things always love to leave you hanging, don't they?

Eragon has already left the empire- he's in surda, and thinking about how angela said he will never return, he probably wont.

maybe he'll go past theborders of CP's map. it doesnt have to be across sea.

Yeah, past the beors, or maybe through Du Weldenvarden. That would require a new map though... cool!

good idea. i think that chris p shud sell the idea to carry on the trilology, but not 4 2 many books. theres on a certain amount of thing that a human, a dragon and a bunch of urgals can do.

it would be ok if practically the same story's not repeated in each book like lots of sequels do.

Well, he did promise Saphira that as soon as they were free from all their troubles, they would go looking for more dragons. That MUST be off the map

the end of book 2 is confusin but at the same time not. its simple now its been said, but u'd nevr have thot it. i had 2 read it twice the first time 2 make sure i hadnt skipped a page accidently and it didnt make sense! lol

well, not nescerrily confusin, just relly surprisin thats all. i was suspicious tho about the urgals creepin up on the huntin group especially wen they had the twins wit them. mayb the twins were shieldin the groups minds frm the noise and sense of bein followed. and i wuda thot that if sum1 was dead u wudnt hav been able 2 scry them, cos their lifeforce/spirit, the thing you scry, has gone?

Saphira will probably kill galbys dragon and then galby will die in turn because his immortality and long life that dragons allow there riders wont be in effect cuz itll be dead. lol and stuff

I thought the books implied that riders always have immortality with or without dragons - except most of them die when their dragons do, due to the severing of that mental bond. If what nicho said is true then glenwing is right - galbatorix should be long dead by now.

And.. if Eragon falls in battle against Galby? Of course, Galby dies too... I don't want an end like this, but maybe it could be....

Well explain Brom then. His dragon Saphira died in battle in Doru Areaba.So is at least easily 90 years old and still a good swordsman.

yes.. thats why i said 'most'... even brom said that most riders were unable to live without their dragons, because the bond between them made them as one

well it also says about extended lives and the may die after there dragon is dead maybe brom was imortal but very fragile because he didnt ahve the same strength as before when he did have his dragon. Then he got owned by a throwing knife

if u didnt notice, they said Riders are immortal. Brom told Eragon that he was ONCE a dragon rider, but not anymore. so his life would have had an end, just a long one.

so it isnt directly linked with the dragon being alive. The shinning palm brom still had and his magic skills limited but present so dragons even when they die have a lasting influence in their riders

but as brom himself said, he was weaker in magic after his dragon died, so that would shorten his life.

but it also didnt mean he would have a shortened life either so galby is still gathering strength if this is the same topic i think we are in
