Skylar sat underneath a rock alcove jutting out of the side of one of the Boer Mountains. He was far from any civilization, which is what he wanted, peace and quiet. Below him stretched a valley with tall trees and a small river meandering through it. Above him remained only the snow-capped peak of the mount he was on. He stretched out beneath the rock, laying down on his back, and closed his eyes. Within Skylar was searching himself, searching every corner, and searching more, as he had done before, hoping to find something, anything. For a half an hour he did this, and afterwards, no more. He receeded himself from his own mind and opened his eyes. He couldn't tell if it was a trick of his mind or not, but he swore he heard I come when you need me.. echo from somewhere. A faint smile touched his lips, and then disappeard with a shake of his head. He stood and started to pile his collected wood next to the mountain wall, so no wind or snow could faint it away instantly. Not bothering to break out his tinderbox, he uttered "Brisingr" and sat down next to the flame, warming himself.

OOC: Hope it is ok if I join..

Anthor Gornath and Voenth had been training for quite a few days inthe Beores with Voenth doing most of the teaching. They were practicing Gornath's airial acrobatics when they saw a small flicker of flame and what looke like a fire in the distance.

Voenth immideately told Gornath to fly to the flame and see if they were good or evil. They hastened to the spot and saw a human sitting next to a fire, Gornath landed a few yards away, while Voenth and Anthor greeted the human and said, " Hi I am Anthor and this elf is Voenth and this is my dragon named," "Gornath", said Gornath, "What is your name?"

OOC: It's just fine if you join.

Skylar turned his head and raised a brow, only minorly surprised. "Skylar.." He stood to get a better look, it had been awhile since he'd seen another Rider. Afterwards, he promptly sat down again. "Since you aren't brandishing sword and fire, I assume you aren't trying to kill me. I have no food, if that's what you might've been looking for. I intended to hunt tomarrow." Skylar slid the edge of his cloak over his hand, where his silvery insignia was visible.

OOC: I hope it is fine if i oin too

IC: Poconio was hiding amoung the forest, doing the one thing that calmed him down, honing his swordsmanship skils. Suddenly, Paconio heard people talkiing. Using his elf senses, he listened to the conversation. Fearing that he may attract hostiles, he stopped practicing, and sat down quietly. No body likes a loud neighbor.

OOC: It's fine if anyone joins.

Skylar went to the edge of the alcove, pulling the cloak tight around him. "I travel light.." He looked to where Anthor was staring, and peered down into the trees. He couldn't see anything, but once he reached out with his mind he could feel a bigger essence than just the bugs and grass and trees. "Hold on," Skylar said under his breath, "he might mean us harm.."

Skylar raised a brow, "How many people were you expecting, exactly?" The trays with food made his mouth water a tiny bit, but he didn't let his hunger get in the way of his caution. He crossed his arms and shrugged, glancing over Paconio.

OOC: Umm, I have no problem with it, but idk about wil and the other, but sure.

OOC: Sorry, I sort of did forget about this thread. I almost forgot about SF, with the mid-term paper I had to write. YOu can join if you want, Star.

IC: "People always seem to find my camp in the middle of nowhere." He took some bread from the trays of food and went to sit back by his fire. "Well, everyone, I'm Skylar, as Anthor and Gornath already know. Welcome to my camp." He nodded to them all, and invited him over to the fire. "I wasn't expecting so many, I don't have any more wood, sorry."

"No wood? I can fix that!" Paconio grabbed an axe that was randomly leaned against a rock. He ran into the forest and began singing away as he chopped down a tree.

He came back about a half an hour later with logs in his hands. He threw most of them on the fire, and lay the rest down by his seat. "That should suffice for now" Paconio said before he took a bite out of one of his freshly picked apples.

Bornath blew gently on the woof that was on the fire, and immediately revived the fire. What is your reason for being out here? Asked Gornath, Anthor and Voenth asked the same question.

Pass-Turn.

"Me? I'm out here for some peace and quiet, I figured no one would be out here. I guess I was wrong." Skylar shrugged and warmed his hands over the fire. "I was looking for something, too.. but I didn't find it. OH, well.. what are the lot of you doing around here?"

Gornath answered for the trio, We came here to train, nothing more, do we have any more food? He asked with a hungry look on his face.

Pass-Turn.

"I'm afraid if you want food we'll have to hunt. I don't remember it being a problem for a dragon to catch it's own prey." Skylar yawned, "As for me, I'm full. I think I might take a little nap, if no one needs me." He set about bringing out a blanket and wrapping himself in it, "That's better. It gets colder up here then one would think. Especially at night." He shivered and wrapped the blanket tired.

Skylar scooted up against the wall, trying to keep the wind form him. Truthfully, he wasn't all the tired, but he needed some silence. He wanted to try once more, maybe it would make a difference with people around him, not to mention a dragon. After moments of concentration he still couldn't get anything. Deep within his soul he found no trace of what he was looking for. Skylar took a deep breath and focused, calming himself. Still, nothing he wanted. He shook his head in fresturation and opened his eyes, focusing on the fire so he could think clearly.

Niliki crouched low, listening to the people around him. There was a dragon and two men. One was playing asleep, he could hear his heart beat continue at the same rate it had been, not slowing as one in sleep would. The dragon's stomach was rumbling with hunger, and the other man was avoiding noise to let the other sleep.

Not many ventured this close to the dragon mountain without the dragons "Nudging" them around it with their minds. This mountain was sacred to the dragon. He let his head drop, his silver hair falling into his face, he had recently let it grow out, to cover his white eyes. He would rather not have the men he was about to confront think him weak because of his lack of sight.

A twig snapped behind him, causing him to whirl around. A familiar scent wafted to him. " You, my friend, our horrid at sneaking up on a blind man." He said, laughing quietly.\

"I am not! I wasn't trying to hide from you, you can smell me." She muttered, grabbing his hand and draging him forwards into the clearing where the men could see them. "Hello friends." She called, trying to act as if she wasn't the deadliest bounty hunter in the land, known for her deeds of retribution. As if she wasn't a half shade who could control fire. She laced each word with innocence. The less these men knew, the better chance she had of fooling them. Niliki laughed beside her at her feigned innocence. In retribution she squeazed his hand hard.
