A New Begining
First chapter there may be a few spelling erors but try to ignore those
Chapter One Shades in the Forest
It was a warm summer day and an Elf was sitting in a forest next to a creak looking into it. The elf was fair, but when he got up from the creak a horrified look came across his face. He grabbed his pack off the ground and began to run as fast as most horses. He sped through the forest leagues disappeared as he ran. After running for over an hour he slowed to a walk and became enveloped in thought. Hooves galloped in the distance, he turned toward the sound then thought better of it and hid in a tree. The galloping slowed to a trot as it passed his tree. There were four horse man, three had blood red hair with armor to match. Their eyes shown red with a deadly gaze. The fourth had jet black hair his armor was black and finer then the rests by far. His gaze was like that of a spears boring into your mind. He said “Halt, he is here some where. Find him.” As he spoke the other riders demounted. They began to look around, but the black rider remained saddled, looking as if he were trying to remember something. “He is in the trees, burn them.” He yelled.
The men looked as if they were going to say something when the elf blew his cover and charged them head on, yelling “No Shade shall harm my forest.” The shades looked dumbstruck that a lone Elf would try to take on Four of them. As he reached the shades they had their swords out and ready for battle. It was a stale mate at first but then the Shades started to gain ground.
After the Elf blocked a blow he turned and ran with the Shades close behind. Then the Elf did something unexpected, he sat down cross-legged and began to meditate. The shades stopped and started to laugh. But their humor was short lived as the Elf mentally attacked all four of the shades with incredible power. The shades were embroiled in a mental battle Four against one.
The Elf kept it up for hours which kept the Shades at bay but he slowly stopped the mental attack and turned to meet his enemies. The Shades looked weary from having to defend them selves for so long.
“Give us what you stole from our master.” sneered one of the Shades as they recovered. “NOW!”
The Elf looked him in his eyes the shade lowered his gaze to the elf’s over powering eyes, the elf’s eyes were full of wisdom, strength, and at that moment disgust. “No, why should I give up what is rightfully the Riders?” He asked as he stared down all but the Black Shade who did not lower his gaze.
The Shades started to laugh again but were cut off by fierce looks from the black Shade. “Because if you don’t I will let my true strength show and crush that weak mind of yours, and you won’t be able to distract me this time.” Harshly stated the Shade, the Elf showed a little concern to the remark and took a step back.
“Yes you should heed his words carefully, Rider.” Sneered another Shade as they started to move slowly forward and pushed the Elf back.
The Elf lost his guard over his emotions as they erupted. “What gives you the right to take peace and prosperity away from Alagaesia?” Yelled the Elf. The Shades once again seemed confused and amused at what the Elf did. The Elf waited for an answer for a few seconds then taking several steps forward he yelled, “Answer my question, Shades.” The three red Shades shrunk back before the Elf’s fury, but the Black Shade stood his ground bring the two closer than ten feet away.
“Why, Osiris there is no reason to get angry” The Shade Calmly stated.
Osiris looked at the Shade puzzled to how he had known his name. “How do you know my name?” he asked dumb struck. The Shade gave him an evil grin then attacked his mind mentally.
He broke through momentarily only to be pushed out by a force so great that the Shade fell back to his back. Osiris looked as if he were else where as The Shade got up and looked with astonishment and horror at the Rider. “Now you will feel my wrath” yelled the Shade as he crouched to a knee engulfing him self with flame. The other Shade had a look of horror and excitement on their faces. Osiris took his pack off and held it at his side in a reedy position as he franticly strengthened his mental walls. When the fire subsided the shade’s appearance had changed. Instead of pure black his hair and eyes they shown with ruby red mixed in with black.
“No! I thought you were only a legend!” said Osiris stunned by the Duel Shade standing before him. The Shade sneered at the comment.
“Now give me the bag or we shall see how you fare against a legend.” barked the Shade. His voice had the sound of two people speaking at once. The Shade started to move toward Osiris.
In a final attempt to escape Osiris ran. The Shade merely yawned and cut him off as if he were a Elf verses a human. Osiris could no longer hide his emotions they rushed over his face. But the greatest emotion was regret, regret that he could not finish his job. This is my folly for not going fast enough. He Thought.
Transport it to this location, said a strong powerful voice in his head. He saw a dwarves city. We will come for you. We are an hour out, Stay safe and brave and do not let them in your head. He prepared to send the pack as the presence in his mind subsided.
“You rely think that any of you fellow riders will be able to save you now?” Asked the duel Shade.
“No.” stated Osiris as he took a few steps back. “But they will be here in an hour.” Said Osiris trying to scare the Shade, but all he got was a laugh from him and his companions.
“Do you think….” the Shade started but was cut off as Osiris started to say a spell that escaped even the shade’s knowledge and held the pack above his head. The shade didn’t look surprised but barked “Brisingr” and shot fire from his palm. The fire hit Osiris in the side before he was able to finish the spell, but the pack still disappeared in a bright teal light. The Shades all cursed wondering why the pack still disappeared.
The duel Shade then approached Osiris and yelled “WHERE DID YOU SEND THE PACK? TELL ME NOW!” The ground shook as he spoke. The elf was still conscious when he herd this but was sprawled on the ground gasping for breath. That took to much energy. Osiris thought puzzled on why it took such a large toll. It shouldn’t have taken so much out of me, I’ve done more than this before.
Osiris said weekly “Not even I could tell you, sense you interrupted that spell. It could even be in another world.” He said the last part as mockingly as possible. The Shade kicked him in frustration making him loose consciousness.
One of the Red shades brought his sword forth and got it ready to stab Osiris in the chest. But before he could The duel shade said “Not yet his time will come soon enough, We need him for information on his companions anyway. So I will say this only once don’t kill him.” The Shade looked at his blade the sheathed it. As they left a shade picked up Osiris and carried him off to the horses.
Before the left the forest the Duel shade engulfed him self with flame again and became a normal shade. As he mounted his horse he looked around with disgust for the forest. Then said “Brisingr” and shot a huge flame from his hand and it struck the forest floor caching it a blaze. Then they rode off from the direction they first came.

Re: A New Begining
Thanks Here is chapter 2 enjoy Tell me what you think.
Chapter Two Will
The sun was rising in the east as Will got out of bed. He stretched while dressing for a long days work. Will lived on a ranch far East of the Hadarac Desert on the Edda River. When he got to the kitchen a sweet aroma of roasted pork filled the air. Will sat himself at a table made for fifteen people. When breakfast was ready Will’s mother Lolith said “Go get the men and tell them to hurry before it gets cold.” Will hurried off and went room to room in the enormous house waking up all the workers. When he reached the last door he knocked and opened the door only to find the room empty.
Were has Fenlore gotten off to now. Thought Will with a sigh as he exited the room. Fenlore was their newest ranch hand, they didn’t know much about him other than he came form the Empire. When he arrived back in the Kitchen, Fenlore was in his normal seat eating and keeping to himself. Will took his seat and began to eat when his father started naming off who would go where. When the list ended Will noticed he left out the north field where some of the cattle where.
“Father,” said Will “What of the northern fields some one has to check on our cattle there.” Will lowered his gaze for correcting his elder expecting him to explode.
“I have forgotten about the northern fields.” he simply stated. Then a grin came onto his face and he asked “Would you like to check on them for me my son?” All the men around the table gasped at what the old man asked except for Fenlore, who was ignoring most of the conversation and concentrating on his meal.
“But Edgar” said Flone one of the Ranch hands “he is a merely a boy, It is fare to dangerous for him. There could be wolves, bears, bandits, or even”….
He was cut off as Fenlore said “And yet he would be better off than you, with your lousy shot.” He gave a chuckle and returned to his meal.
Flone sat back as if he had been given some information that he had not known. Yet everyone knew it was true. Will could beat almost every one in the room except his father and Fenlore. “There was no reason for that remark, Fenlore.” Said Edgar in a deep rolling voice.
Fenlore merely grunted and said “I am going to start work I will see everyone tonight, Farewell.” With his words said he got up and left the house for his duties for the day.
After Fenlore left Edgar asked “So Will what do you say do you think you are ready for the northern fields?” Flone looked with disgust as he asked the question.
Flone then yelled “He is only thirteen years old, you send him to his death.” Then he stormed out. Lolith looked at Edgar with great concern on her face.
“Father I am ready.” said Will as he finished his food and pushed his bowl away. He got up and fetched his pack off the wall. This trip would be three days as is the custom for when they went. He filled it with dried meats, bread, and seasonings for a few days. Then He went and fetched blankets and his bow and quiver off the wall.
When he was ready he saddled his horse Bree, who was given to him by Fenlore. Bree was a magnificent horse, he build was strong and sleek. He was a white horse equal to the most noble chargers. When he finished saddling and packing Bree he said his farewells to his family and rode off toward the north. The ride was beautiful as they rode north into rockier train. The ride lasted for hours but in late afternoon he came across the fence that kept the cattle in the areas that were fit for grazing.
“Well here we are.” said Will as he stroked the stallions mane. He set up camp and let Bree free to go graze. By the time he had his camp up he was tired and hungry. So he ate and went to bed.

Re: A New Begining
Here you all go. This is the next chapter enjoy.
Chapter 3 Unexpected Visitors
When Will woke the next morning he stretched and made him self a meager breakfast. He then grabbed enough dried meat for lunch, his bow and arrows, and his knife. He saddled Bree and started the half-an-hour ride down to where the cows are normally fenced in.
When he reached the field he noticed the fence had changed from the way they normally put it up. “I didn’t ever here father tell any of the men to change the fence.” He said to himself out loud.
“That’s because we changed it.” Said a voice to his left. He spun around quickly notching an Arrow.
At first he didn’t recognize the person but then it became clear who it was. “Roan, Why are you on my fathers property? Speak quickly.” Will said harshly. Roan was sixteen years of age and is the oldest of his fathers sons. Edgar and Roan’s father, Floreston, have been in a never ending battle since they were young.
“How dare you think that this land is still your father. This land rightfully belongs to my father. Can’t you see the fence or are you blind.” Said Roan with a grin as he reached for is bow.
He wants to fight me great. Thought Will as he applied tension to his bow saying “That would not be wise Roan, and this land has always belonged to my family. You can still see the brand on the cows to prove it.” Roan paid no heed to Wills words as he strung his bow. “Did you not hear me I said stop!” Yelled Will pulling his bow all the way back and taking aim.
“I herd” said Roan coolly while he strung an arrow. The two stared each other down not noticing that another person lurked near by.
“May I be of some assistance?” said a girl who jumped out of the trees with a sword in hand reedy to fight. She looked to be at the age of fifteen with dark black hair and a beautiful face.
“Yes” said Will with a sigh of relief. “Natiana, as you know these lands rightfully belong to my father, but Roan here says they are his fathers because of their stupid fences. Which are obviously new.”
“But….” started Roan but he stopped as Natiana gave him a glare that would scare a dragon. Then a grin came across his face, then said “It was their land until they abandoned it and left their cattle for the taking.” As he finished he chuckled pleased with himself for what he said.
“How long has it been since you father has sent a man to check on the cattle?” Asked Natiana, still not lowering her sword.
“A four days. Which is the way it always is.” answered Will. “And the first thing I will do with my fathers land is remove these stupid fences.” Yelled Will while dismounting Bree.
“I agree the fences have to be replaced with the right ones for this property.” Replied Natiana, Will let out a sigh of relief while Roan scowled and let loose some curses. “Now Roan you will help us, or I could let Will here shoot you with his bow and say you are trespassing. The choice is yours.” She finished with a shrug and sheathed her sword.
“What authority do you have over me, none. So I will leave you to clean your own mess up.” Harshly stated Roan as he started to walk away. Will paid no heed to him, but Natiana exploded. She drew her sword and charged Roan. Roan barley had the time to step out of the way of her swords grasp. Roan pulled out his knife and laughed at Natiana’s attempt to kill him. That was a grave mistake, It infuriated her beyond reckoning. She flourished with her sword using complex moves to out smart her obviously physically stronger adversary. After a few seconds Natiana had Roan to his knees with small nicks on his legs and arms, her sword was at his neck. Will quickly ran up and grabbed her before she could kill him.
“No!” yelled Will “his father shall pay for the damage that they have done here.” After a short pause he added, “And I think you got your revenge for him laughing at you.” He released her and got hit in the face, not out of anger but frustration. He then went to go help Roan up but turned down. “Fine have it your way.” He said as he walked away, adding under his breath, “Beat by a girl, a girl.” he gave a short chuckle. Then returned to Natiana’s side.
“A girl” she murmured to Will casting him a glare. Then said to Roan, “You should leave now before you do anything you wont be able to regret.” As Roan got up slowly he stopped to stare at them but was hurried as Natiana got her sword ready again. “I don’t want to see you on this piece of land again.” She yelled as he hurried his pace.
When Roan was off the land Will asked, “Where did you learn to be such a good swordsman?” This is not the first time Will has seen her fight with a sword but it was the first time she actually tried to kill her adversary. “And thank you for helping me back there.”
Natiana leaned up against the fence, then said “My father taught me when I was young and his father taught him. But it matters not he was killed two days ago in a raid.” She looked to the ground as she tried to hold back tears. “He died while protecting me and my brother. It worked. This is the reason why I was heading this way to come bring the news to your family.”
“I am sorry for your loss, your father was always nice to me I’ll miss him.” Will finished almost in tears but then added harshly, “May the bandits responsible for his death suffer a slow and painful one.” after a short pause he said, “Well I have to fix this fence now, thanks to Floreston incompetence.” He moved to the fence and started to work on it.
“I’ll help” Natiana told Will as she started next to him. “Then I can hitch a ride on Bree when you ride back home.” She explained as he asked why she shouldn’t just go to his home today. With a shrug he agreed. And they began the long task before them.
When dusk arrived Will said, “We’ll have to finish the rest tomorrow. The trail back to camp is not safe at night.” Natiana agreed and they rode back on Bree together. When they arrived at camp Natiana shot a pair of hairs on the ride back. They ate dinner and went to bed. Will sacrificed some of his blankets so Natiana didn’t have to sleep on the ground.
In the morning after breakfast Will saddled Bree and left with Natiana for the Field. When the arrived they found three men awaiting them, Roan, Floreston, and one of their ranch hands. All had bows strung and arrows fitted. “Why are you on my property” said Floreston coolly.
“Your property” roared Will. “You have no say over our lands. Get off or pay the price.” As he finished he strung his bow at a remarkable speed and notched a arrow, while Natiana Dismounted.
“There is no reason to be angry Will. Can’t we talk about this like men.” Replied Floreston mockingly. Roan let loose a laugh only to stop as Will sent him a deadly look.
“Sure why not. I guess I can talk to you as a man but I’m not sure about Roan over there he might not understand our conversation.” Said Will as he and Natiana Laughed. Roan released a arrow at Will but missed by five feet to the right. “Is that your best?” Will laughed again at Roan. “Pardon me, I’m sorry for insulting your son. Let us continue.”
“Apology accepted,” Replied Floreston, then added turning red with anger and embracement combined. “I am embraced that my son could miss from such a short distance.” He gave Roan a look as if the subject wasn’t finish, then continued, “So I see I am in a more difficult position than before. Rightfully you can kill my son for his attack. I ask you don’t.” Will shook his head in agreement and waved his hand for Floreston to continue. “I see that this land is not mine and I hoped I could get away with it, but I can’t. So I ask what now?”
Will burned with anger as he thought of a response then decided to tell the truth, “Well Floreston you must understand our situation.” He waited for a response but then continued after not receiving one. “Imagine that you find a part of your property fenced by another ranch and then find that one of the ranch hands remained behind and told you that this land was not yours or your cattle. Then have him defy your wishes and aim a bow at you when it is your property!” As Will ended he was yelling and waving his bow through the air. He added a little calmer, “I will have to tell my father and he will choose what he think is best to resolve this situation.”
“That is not….” Started Roan but was cut off by a wave of his fathers hand.
“No son you should not try to defend your actions they were wrong. “Though I understand why you were angry but was that a reason to attack my son? I spent many hours cleaning his wounds.”
Will hesitated then said slowly. “It was not I who did that but Natiana. Roan insulted her.” He then recounted what happened. “I think she was right in her actions, he had no right to speak to her that way. Especially if all she was doing was trying to help. Nor should he have laughed at her.” after a quick snicker he continued, “Roan should be proud he lasted that long against her. I have seen her disarm many a lot faster.” He finished and looked at Natiana who was blushing from the praises he had said. Will then dismounted and let Bree free to graze.
“Really my son happened to leave out that small detail.” said Floreston with obvious anger in his voice then trying to leave he added. “But he came here to challenge the one who injured him. But it looks like he will not have that luxury. So farewell to you both.”
Then as they turned to leave Natiana spoke for the first time. “Sir, he can still have his wish to fight me if he wants. But I warn you I will not fight him unless he has a sword.” Roan gave a gasp of disbelief but it quickly changed to pleasure.
He drew his sword and asked his father, “Father give me the pleasure of defeating her. She humiliated me, do I not get revenge.” As he finished he reveled a broad sword around a foot longer than Natiana’s.
“Fine but you do this against my wishes.” Said Floreston as he sat on the Ground to watch his son fight. He looked doubtfully at his son but a hint of hope shown through.
Before Natiana approached her adversary he whispered, “Be careful.” Then added with a grin “Don’t hurt him to bad.”
She gave him a quick grin but then her face went blank of all emotion. She drew her sword it was three feet long and of the finest craftsmanship Will had ever laid eyes on. She took her stance and prepared for battle. Roan sneered and said, “This time we both have swords. You don’t stand a chance.” When he finished he lunged at Natiana only to find his blow blocked with ease. He turned red with anger and struck again only to find his blow lazily flicked aside be Natiana. Before he could heave his sword around for another attack he was bombarded with complex blows, each more complicated than the next. He held his ground for a few seconds but was given a quick cut across his leg. Roan stumbled back cursing as he tried to recover from his injury. Seeing his distress his father howled in frustration. Natiana let Roan recover back to his feet before she attacked. She flourished once again with her sword out fighting Roan and pushing him back. Natiana started to play with him which infuriated him. With his new found furry he managed to knock aside her defenses and hitting her hard in the side with the flat side of his blade. She stumbled back screaming in agony. Floreston jumped up in surprise as his son took down Natiana, as Will jumped like he wanted to help but he restrained him self. “You should have stayed out of this woman.” Said Roan as he raised his blade for the final blow.
Before he was able to deliver Natiana rolled behind him and slashed furiously at his knees. Roan fell to the ground cursing as he dropped his sword. As he rolled on the ground Natiana approached. When she got close enough she took his sword and tossed it to Floreston. Floreston looked at his son with eyes full of sorrow and regret. “I have failed you as a father” he said turning to walk away.
Before he could leave Natiana said to Roan while pinning him with her foot, “A great pain you have caused Will, your father, and I. But a pain I will forgive.” She looked at him pitting him, but it quickly turned to anger and she added, “But as a punishment you will bare.” She stopped for a minute and cut him on his face from his eye to his chin, “This scare will let you remember that you fought and lost to me.” When she finished she turned to walk, but stopped and said, “You brought this on your self.” Her words were full of sorrow and pain. She then continued to walk until she reached Bree where she sat and tended her wounds.
“I didn’t want you to end up like this Roan.” said Will as nicely as possible. Roan just scowled and started to walk toward their property. He was successful to a certain point but than collapsed.
“I bid thee farewell, Will” Said Floreston as he turned and ordered his ranch hand to assist Roan. On that note Will turned and walked to Natiana who was gingerly taking a drink of water.
At Wills approach she tried to stand but was to weak. “You need to sit there while I look at your injury.” said Will as he knelt beside her. I don’t know any thing about this he thought as Natiana pulled her shirt up trying to conceal her self the best she could. Will gasped at the damage the sword had done. What should I say this looks horrible. I don’t know If she will even live from something like this. “I can clean it were it is cut but I think we need to get you to my house as quickly as possible. So the fence will have to wait.” He then cleaned and bandaged the wound to the best of his abilities. By the time every thing was done it was mid afternoon and Will knew Natiana needed help soon.
“Thanks Will you have helped me enough. I just ask one more thing can you…” Natiana’s words were cut short as she fell unconscious to the ground. Will ran over to her and quickly examined her condition.
She is hurt bad. We need to leave now. He then tried to get Natiana into Bree’s saddle, he did not succeed until his fifth time. When she was in the saddle he mounted and started a reasonable gallop toward his camp.

Re: A New Begining
It is short and sweet enjoy
Chapter Four A Short Cut
`When Will galloped in to camp he found it had been ransacked. “Why?” He screamed as he walked through what was left. After salvaging what was left he came to the conclusion that Bandits must have raided his camp. He was able to find a full wineskin, two blankets, and some meat that was in the blankets. Will shook his head and packed the spare supplies.
He mounted Bree and rode off at a respectable pace. Will continued for hours on Bree’s balk only stopping when he came across a stream. When they stopped at Cricket Creek, he watered Bree and tried to give some to Natiana but she couldn’t drink in her state. What should I do. He thought as he pulled out his map to try and see if they had made any progress.
He groaned as he looked at the map. He had only covered a small portion of the distance. The way the route looked was like a L. Their house was on one corner of the property while he was on the same side he still had to move around a large section of land because the bandits took control of it before Will father was even born.
“Why can’t I cut across the section the bandits normally don’t bother me, I’ve gone there plenty of times.” He said trying to persuade him self to take the route. Natiana stirred and opened her eyes. She tried to sit up in the saddle but she tried in vain as she collapsed under the agony of her side as she lost conscious. “Lets go Bree.” Said Will after he examined her condition. He hesitated to go the normal way then said to himself “She will die unless I get home soon.” He turned off the worn trail leading Bree with his map in hand.
After five hours of riding Will stopped to water Bree at a stream when he noticed a pack behind a bush were there looked like at a point in time there was a fire. He saw that the pack was different than any other ones that he has seen. When he picked up the pack he walked back to Bree and sat on a rock. When he opened it he revealed two Oval shaped stones, One was silver and the other gold.
He gasped and returned the stones to the pack protectively as if someone was around to watch him find them. I need to keep going. He thought as he strapped the pack to Bree and then mounted.
He thought for hours as the time flew by. I’ll show it to father and Fenlore but no others. He concluded around midnight as he dismounted Bree and laid down blankets for Natiana. When he managed to get her off Bree and on to the Bed he made for her he lit a fire and pulled out his map.
He had covered most of the trip in a quarter of the time. Pleased with him self he put the map back and decided to examine the stones he discovered. The light from the fire reflected off of the stones. He noticed that the Gold stone had veins of red running around the outside of the stone. When he examined the Silver one he noticed that there were veins of a multitude of colors ranging from Teal to Gold. He was mesmerized by their beautiful colors and perfect shape.
He returned the stones to the pack and examined his meager supplies. “This is not enough.” He said to himself as he finished off the meat and wine. “I need a little rest.” he mumbled as he drifted off into a pleasant slumber with his bow at a short reach.
He was a woken by a sharp noise that came from some bushes not far away. He quickly notched an arrow and took aim. But before he could loosen the arrow a strong voice spoke which he recognized right away as Fenlore, He said. “Put your bow away Will it is I Fenlore” Quickly he lowered his bow and explained the situation to him leaving out the stones, not on purpose but because his mind was elsewhere. Fenlore interrupted Will and said, “Quickly saddle Bree and continue riding for your house you will be three in four hours if you hurry. I will be close behind but I have unfinished business here that must be attended to.” With those words he left Will.
Will did not ponder Fenlore’s appearance but did as he was told and rode off toward his house. It took him three and a half hours to reach it but when he did the sun was rising and the Ranchers were hard at work.
When he came to the house his father was talking outside to one of the Ranch hands. As he approached his father looked bewildered by his appearance and Natiana’s. “Why do….” started Edgar but he was cut off by Will.
“She is hurt bad. She needs help.” Quickly said Will who dismounted and started to get Natiana down.
Will struggled with weariness as he attempted to get Natiana off Bree. He collapsed under the weight. His father ran to his side and picked up Natiana as gently as possible as he walked away from Will he said, “Son you have done me proud. All of us proud.” Will laid on the ground for a few minutes as he pondered what had happened over the last few day’s and with a jolt he remembered the stones.
He quickly got up and grabbed the pack off Bree as the Ranch hand took Bree away. Will ran to his room and hid the pack under his bed. I’ll deal with this later, he thought as he exited his room and headed for the spare bedroom.
When he arrived he saw that Natiana had been properly bandaged and cleaned. He asked his father “Is she going to live?”
His father looked grave and said, “She has six broken ribs and several miner injuries. The only thing to hope for is that one of toughs ribs didn’t puncher a lung. All would be lost than. But hold on to hope, I think you got her here in time.” As he finished he patted Wills shoulder and left the room leaving Will there all alone.

Re: A New Begining
Here you all go the next chapter enjoy. I don't know how many chapters there will be if it goes the way I want there will be at least two books.
Chapter Five Road to Recovery
A man appeared before Natiana in the dark. “Who are you.” she asked. The man just examined her for a while as the time grew she grew impatient and asked, “Well what do you want?”
The man looked at her with amused eyes. Than answered “I am here to awaken you my young warrior.” Natiana looked at him in astonishment as the man waited for an answer. When he received non he said, “You are not like the others in this area, you and your family are not the same as the others here. You are stronger in mind, body, and spirit. Though you don’t show it.
Natiana could not believe what she was hearing but then asked, “Why? Why am I stronger that others. What makes me special? Why am I better than Will?” The last question slipped from her and she wondered why she even brought him up.
“Will is gifted in other ways unlike you.” He answered and added, “Why is an answer I can’t give you for it is not my right. This is a question you must find the answer to on your own.”
The answers infuriated Natiana but she was helpless and could not protect herself from his words. “What gives you the right to know but not I?” She asked. When she received no answer she asked, “Is Will okay and where am I?
When she herd a quiet chuckle and then his answer “Will is fine and you are at his house.”
She wanted to thank him for the information but than wondered as she asked “How do you know where I am or whether or not Will is Okay?” Her words were full of suspicion.
“I can tell you more when the time is right but for now tell no one of me or you will be taken for crazy.” She heard a laugh, then “Awaken you need to get up and start to recover. Atra esterni ono thelduin” (May good fortune rule over you.)
When the man finished speaking she started to become aware of her surroundings. The first thing she noticed is that someone was holding her hand in both of theirs. She opened her eyes hoping to find Will. Instead of Will, Fenlore was sitting next to her bed deep in thought.
Fenlore looked up at Natiana and said, “It is good you are awake young warrior. We have been worried for your well being.” His words were full of kindness and sympathy.
Natiana tried to sit up but got racked by pains in her side. “Where is Will?” she asked as the pain resided.
“Finishing up his work for the day. He has rarely left your side.” Said Fenlore as he got up. “I will return with some tea for you.” He exited. She looked around and found all of her things piled neatly in the corner. She noticed her sword sat next to her bed. She looked out her window and saw that it was late afternoon. Fenlore interrupted her peace as he entered whistling merrily and caring two cups and a tea kettle. “Here have some tea.” He said as he poured her and himself a cup of tea.
She took a sip of the tea and then asked “How long have I been out?”
Fenlore smiled and took a drink before answering, “Three days, But you are recovering now so everything will be okay.”
“I need to talk with Edgar.” She said but then added with eyes filling with tears “My father was killed by bandits.” She could no longer contain her emotions as they spilled over. She laid in her bed and cried with Fenlore at her side for a few minutes.
When she got a hold of her self she apologized for her outbreak. Fenlore just smiled and said, “You need rest after all you have been through.” He got up to leave but Natiana stopped him when she asked were Edgar was. “He went to Floreston’s to see what is to be done now.”
When he exited the room Natiana looked out the window and found Will was working in front of the barn tossing bales of hay into the barn off a wagon. She noticed that he looked a good three to four years older than he actually was and that he had the strength of most men, which was rare for one his age. She watch him for a while but then drifted into a pleasant dreamless sleep.
When she woke next morning she was able to sit up and look around. In a chair in the corner sat Will fast asleep. She smiled and noticed a small meal sitting next to her. As she ate she recapped the past few days in her head.
Will stirred and woke up and almost screamed with happiness. “Your awake. Is there any thing I can get you. Food, water, wine you name it I’ll get it.” When he finished he was gasping for breath.
“I’m okay with what I have but thank you.” She replied trying no to giggle. “But is your father back?”
“No” he answered as he began to exit the room but added, “It is good to see you are alright, I need to get to work. I’ll be back around lunch.”
“Farewell Will” she said as he exited. “Well what do I do now.” She tried to get up but was unsuccessful the first time. The second determination shown in her face as she grabbed at the bed post to help her. With great effort she hefted her body up and stretched. She flinched as she raised her arm above her head. Okay lets have a look around. Before she exited the room she dressed and walked down the hall to the kitchen.
She saw Lolith was making lunch for the ranch hands that were still here. “Hello Lolith” she startled` Lolith as she walked into the room.
“You shouldn’t be walking yet.” protested Lolith as she pulled out a chair for her. “Well as long as you are out here would you like to tell me what has happened the past few days.”
So Natiana told her every thing from her fathers death to where she went unconscious. “The biggest news I have is that my father is dead other than that it was uneventful for me.” Said Natiana as she almost broke into tears.
“You just need to rest for now. Would you like help back to your room.” Asked Lolith as if Natiana had no opinion in the matter.
“No I’ll be okay.” reapplied Natiana as she got up trying not to show that her injury still hurt.
“You go get some rest and I will worry about every thing else.” When Lolith finished talking she continued with her work.
As Natiana walked down the hall she saw Wills room and entered it cautiously. She saw Wills bow and picked it up while testing the string. Satisfied she was about to leave but noticed a strap of a pack partially out for under the bed. When she pulled on the strap she revealed a elegant pack. Natiana strolled over to it and examined it. It was brown with a Teal outline on the seams. She opened the pack and sat on the bed to examine the items inside. As she drew out the fist item she noticed that it was Gold and it had veins of red running through it. She marveled at how light it was. She set aside and then examined the next stone it was silver with multi-colored veins running through it.
While she examined the stones she failed to hear the sound of foot steps approaching the open door. Fenlore walked up behind her and looked at the stones with awe. He tapped Natiana on the shoulder making one of the stones fall the ground.
“Where did you find these?” He asked.

Re: A New Begining
Thank Im glad you like it here is the next chapter.
Chapter six Secrets and a shade
“Where did you find that?” Asked Fenlore harshly when he didn’t receive an answer the first time. “Well, Where?” He crossed his arms and waited for an answer loosing his patients.
“In this pack under Will's bed.” Replied Natiana who was getting agitated at Fenlore’s attitude. Then she asked, “What does it matter to you where they were found? Your just some young ranch hand that needs to get back to work.”
Fenlore looked very angry but he held back his wrath and said “Stay here.”
Natiana wanted to leave the room but she stayed as she realized that he was fetching Will. “I’ve never seen him so angry in my life.” She mumbled to her self. She waited for what seemed hours. She finally decided that she has to eat and drink so she got up to leave the room.
When she exited she came face to face with a furious Fenlore and Will who was trailing behind like a dog with his tail between his legs. “Get back in the room.” Said Fenlore harshly. When they were all in the room Fenlore shut the door and locked it. As he sat in a chair and pointed to the stones then he asked “Well, What do you have to say about those eggs Will?” Will looked in astonishment at the Eggs and forgot to answer Fenlore who had lost his patients. “Well, boy answer me where did you find them and why did you hide them from your father?” Fenlore yelled.
“I found them in the bandits territory.” replied Will who could not meet Natiana’s or Fenlore’s eyes. Then he pleaded “I honestly thought they were just stones I could hold onto. Nothing more or less. I didn’t know that they were eggs.” After a short time of thought Will gathered the courage to ask, “What kind of egg are they, I’ve never seen anything like it before.”
Natiana sat up and paid close attention to what Fenlore had to say. After around five minutes she blurted out, “Why aren’t you answering his question, Fenlore.”
Fenlore paid little heed to her comment and said “What about telling me where you found these.”
“Well my mind has been else were.” Said Will and with a shrug he added, “I’ve been far to busy with my new jobs and Natiana to even think about them. They have sat under my bed ever since we arrived.”
Fenlore’s mood quickly changed from angry to that of a mentors attitude while teaching. “You did the right thing by keeping your mind on the job at hand. But still I need you to recap every thing that happened again so I can know the truth.”
Will told his story again and after wards asked “What kind of eggs are they?”
“I will tell you later for now go back to work and Natiana go to bed.” Replied Fenlore as he unlocked the door and went to his room.
“There are things bigger than what we can imagine out there.” Said Natiana looking at the eggs in wonder. “And how does Fenlore know so much?”
Will ignored the comments as he realized that Natiana was in his room looking around. “What were you doing in here?” He asked.
Natiana primly said “Because I saw your door open and I thought I might see what your room looks like.” When she finished she got up and exited the room. Will carefully put the eggs back in his bag and went back to work.
Later that day Edgar returned baring a full wallet but bad news. At dinner he explained the situation to everyone. “Well I got Floreston to pay for the work we had to do on the fences but I wish I had stayed here.” He paused and looked at Natiana who was casually eating her food. “Natiana, I have bad news,” He looked at his plate then finding the courage to continue he continued, “I have more than bad news I have horrible news. Your ranch has been destroyed. I…” He stopped again trying to find the best way to say what he wanted. “I saw your mother dead and all of your ranch hands. They were burned to death.” At this point the was sobbing because of the loss, but Natiana looked at him in disbelief and disgust like it was some cruel joke. “I don’t know who did it but it wasn’t bandits, all of you livestock and crop were still there, well at least what wasn’t burned.” He dropped his head into his hands and began to weep.
“What of my brother?” asked Natiana, still thinking that it was some cruel joke. “Why would they kill my family?”
“I don’t know but I saw it and no one was alive in the area.” Replied Edgar who refused to meet Natiana’s eyes. “I could not find your brother. I think he might have been captured or buried in the rubble.”
Natiana left the table and ran to her room trying to conceal her emotions. Then Will asked “Were there any tracks or evidence on who these people, no thing are and where they went.”
“As you can see Fenlore is not among, he is in town investigating the matter." Said Edgar growing very serous. “When he returns he will take you and Natiana to the Northern Fields for a few weeks for the first watch.” Will looked at him with astonishment and confusion as he wanted to ask a question but restrained himself. Seeing his distress his father added, “Natiana is going so you can escort her to her ranch so she can pay her last respects. And as for you Fenlore requested that.” When he finished he removed himself from the room and retired to his bed.
“I don’t like the sound of this.” Said Flone as he started eating again. “What if they decide to attack us next. I was with Edgar it was beyond any damage a I have seen before.” He pushed his plate away and left. The rest of the ranch hands slowly began to file out of the kitchen and to their rooms.
All were gone but Will who cleaned the dishes and hummed a merry tune to try and lift his spirits. When he retired to bed he fell asleep with the silver egg in his arms.
The next day Natiana refused to eat or drink a thing she would only look out her window all day. That evening Fenlore returned at an alarming speed. Will and Edgar ran out to meet him with bows strung and arrow ready. “Well what did you learn?” asked Edgar impatiently as Fenlore dismounted taking off something wrapped up. He then handed the reins to Will.
“I didn’t learn much only that some one with a brown cloak has been asking questions about some stones.” Replied Fenlore as he glanced back at Will as he unsaddled the horse and put him in his stable. “I don’t like it. I heard little of them knowing where you are so I don’t think we have a problem. The most important information I got was that we have several reports that this person left. Few actually saw what this person looks like but I guess that who ever it is they are wearing a black robe and is heavily armed.” He finished with a sigh and glanced at Will. “Are we the continue as planed?”
“Yes, did you get what I requested?” asked Edgar in return, raising a eyebrow to the package.
“Yes. Here I suppose you want to give it to him.” Said Fenlore as he held out the package for him to take. He glanced at Will who was finishing with the animals. “No, you can give it to him when you begin his education.” He laughed and retired to the house for bed.
As Will approached Fenlore he asked about what he learned Fenlore merrily said “Enough to think that who ever did it left.” He turned to leave but stopped and looked over his shoulder and said, “Be ready we leave tomorrow.”
That night Will was restless and stayed awake most of the night until he grabbed the silver egg and slowly drifted off into a calm sleep. He flew through the air on a winged beast. There was a young woman on a winged beast beside him. They flew over what looked to be a large city. Both of them dove to the ground in front of a young man with dark red hair and a sword that dripped blood. They both dismounted and drew their swords.
Fenlore woke him in the wee hours in the morning and all three prepared for the trip ahead of them. As they mounted Natiana strung her bow.
Fenlore eyed this but made no comment but asked Will “Do you have the eggs?”
Will looked as if he didn’t want to answer but said, “Yes they are in the pack on that horse.” pointing to their horse that carried all of their gear.
“Good are we ready to go?" He asked Natiana who mounted her horse. In reply she started to ride away.
They rode for most of the day and eventually arrived at the new camp that had been set up. The ranch hands had built a nice cabin and rebuilt the whole fence. Next to the cabin stood a large tower around twenty feet tall. There was also a small barn fifty feet from the cabin. They dismounted and put the horses in the barn.
When they entered the cabin looked around finding three rooms and the cabinets full of food and two barrels of wine in the corner.
“Well, I guess I should make diner.” Said Fenlore after he put his pack in his room. “Come will you help me Natiana?” She agreed and Fenlore added, “Will make sure the horses are fed and locked up.”
They said little to each other as they ate dinner. After dinner Fenlore pulled out his bundle and unwrapped it reveling a long sword. It had a silver hilt and was around four feet long. It weighed thirty pounds. He handed the sword to Will and said, “Your father had me pick this up for you when I was in town. Its yours and in a few days we will start training you. Natiana I will train you also though you need less.”
“I thank you for the sword but is this the reason I came up here was to be trained with the Blade?” Asked Will, who unsheathed the sword and tested its balance and swung it through the air a few time trying to look like he knew what he was doing but he only gave himself a bump on his head.
“Yes was that the reason you brought both of us up here?” Interrupted Natiana as she looked at Will in a way that you could tell she was annoyed.
“Natiana you are here because I want to train you and you should go pay your respects to your family, which you and Will will do tomorrow. But to train the two of you was the reason on why you came here. The situation is far more complicated than you think.” Replied Fenlore.
“How complicated? Does this have anything to do with the Eggs?” Asked Will with renewed interest.
“No, I will not answer those questions until you are ready for the knowledge. Good night.” As Fenlore finished he went to his room and closed the door.
“We have been thrown into a game with out our consent.” Observed Natiana before she went to her room leaving Will by him self in the Kitchen. He than retired to his room.
In the morning Will woke to find Fenlore and Natiana up and making breakfast. The sweet aroma of fresh bacon and eggs filled the room. As they ate breakfast Fenlore tossed out orders, “Natiana you have to get every thing ready for you trip, it will be a one day trip but be prepared incase you are delayed. Will you come with me and we will go check the fence after we clean up here.”
So they finished cleaning and then prepared for the tasks a head. Natiana packed enough supplies for a few days for Herself and Will. While Will and Fenlore went to check the Ranch hand's work on the fence. They returned to find Natiana ready to go.
“Farwell, be safe and if you meet anyone on the rode you do not know do not give them your name.” Said Fenlore before they rode off at a gallop.
At first Will felt uncomfortable riding with Natiana. He was memorized by her beauty which was unmatchable in his opinion. They rode for hours in silence until Will asked, “Why do you think Fenlore keeps so many secrets from us?”
Natiana did not answer for a while but when she did she spoke with authority. “He does not tell us every thing because we are not ready for the knowledge.”
Will was annoyed with the answer but kept his opinion to him self. “Well I hope we can get a little of his knowledge when we get back.” When he finished Natiana stopped her horse and looked around in distress. “What is it?” asked Will in a whisper.
“I don’t know but we are not alone. Keep riding and don’t stop for anyone.” As she finished a hooded figure wearing a brown robe. Jumped from a tree and landed in front of them. Natiana horse reared and threw her to the ground. The hooded figure approached and offered her a hand.
“You should have better control over you horse young one.” The voice reveled that the person was a woman. “May I ask were you are going?”
Will turned his head and let Natiana answer. “We are heading to my….” She stopped her self from revealing who she was and corrected her self with a laugh “We are heading to a ranch a few miles away, We heard grave news but want to confirm it for our self.” She looked to her feet and asked “Why are you here?”
The woman laughed and said, “I bear that news in which you seek to confirm. I also was looking for a pack with to Stones in it that some bandits stole a few days ago.”
Will looked toward the woman and asked “Are you new here, or are you a ranch hand?”
The woman looked at Will with enraged eyes but her face showed only a little amusement. “My name is Lazuris. Now tell me your name.” She looked at them waiting for an answer.
“We must be on our way” said Natiana after she mounted her horse.
They tried to pass Lazuris but she moved to block their path, Her eyes flashed as she threw back her robe to uncover bright red armor that was matched with her bright red hair. “Fools, I am a shade. Tell me what I want to know and you can join me. Now where are the stones?” She waited for an answer for a few seconds but only received Natiana unsheathing her sword and Will stringing his bow and fitting an arrow. “So I see I will have to pry the information I want out of you.” The shade became very serious. The shade eye brow met as she stared at Natiana with incressed anger. A few seconds later the shade fell to a knee in pain and looked with surprise at Natiana, who was moving her lips as if she was talking to someone. The shade face lit up as she got up, “I thought all of your kind were dead.” Will and Natiana gave each other confused look while Lazuris face turned into a sneer “I see you don’t know what you are, so let me tell you. You are a Half-breed. Half elf, half human. You will serve my master well”
Natiana looked with disbelief and anger then remembering the strange person in her mind “I am stronger in mind, body, and spirit. Though I don’t show it.” The word seemed to scare Lazuris as she stepped back.
Will was speechless and only looked with astonishment at Natiana as she walked toward the shade with sword in hand. She wore a fierce face and ready eyes.
“You….” Started Lazuris but she was cut off as Natiana attacked. The shade was caught off guard by the attack and quickly lost ground. Natiana showed her true self in that fight as she rained down heavy blows on Lazuris. The shade seemed to be trying to say something but she was jarred every time she got a word out by a blow of Natiana’s sword. Natiana flourished and finally caught her opponent on the side. The shade stumbled back but quickly regained balance and started to counterattack Natiana. Natiana was not ready for the ferocity of the attack and quickly lost her ground she just gained.
Will looked with alarm and took aim but he couldn’t shoot until Natiana was out of the way of his line of fire. Just as he took aim Lazuris threw back Natiana with a powerful blow. The shade laughed and enjoyed her victory when will heard a voice in his head say, “Aim for her heart and let you arrow fly.” Will took aim at Lazuris pulled back on the shaft and let his arrow fly.

Re: A New Begining
Okay a short but important chapter.
Chapter Seven A new shadeslayer
The arrow flew toward Lazuris but the shade grabbed it out of the air and snapped it with two fingers. The shade had let her guard down and Natiana took this advantage. She lunged at Lazuris but her sword did not meet its mark. The shade was still quick enough to block the blade. But Natiana did not give up she started to attack with extreme amount of strength. The shade grew furious and tried to get by Natiana defenses but before she could Natiana drove her sword through Lazuris’s stomach making her drop her sword. The shade quickly struck Natiana in the chest making her fly back several feet. Just as Lazuris grasped the palm of the sword a arrow struck her in the heart Before Natiana or Will could react Lazuris quickly said a few words, that Natiana or Will could understand, then she disappeared in a bright light. Will looked around him waiting for Lazuris to jump out at them. Minutes slowly crept by but there was no sign of the Shade.
Just as Will and Natiana began to relax Fenlore leaped from the bushes with Wills sword in hand. “What happened?” asked Fenlore as he saw no one but Will and Natiana.
“A shade attacked us and Will killed it.” Said Natiana as if she was robbed of the pleaser of doing it her self.
“Really, and how did you do this Will?” said Fenlore in disbelief.
“I shot her in the heart with an arrow.” Said Will, then added “It is the only way to kill a shade.”
Fenlore was dumbstruck by how much Will knew about shades. “How did you figure this out?” Asked Natiana who face turned red with anger.
Will was surprised that she had not been spoken to also. “I was told by some strange voice in my head. I thought it would have contacted you also.”
Fenlore spoke quickly and did not hear Will’s comment “We will return to the cabin, Now days Shades travel in groups and I think you got lucky Will.” As he finished he whistled and his horse Carlo leapt from some near by bushes. “Let us leave I do not wish to meat another Shade. Natiana your house is not safe you must not go there.” When he finished they rode back at a gallop.
When they arrived Fenlore heated up some soup and they sat for a meal as Will and Natiana explained what happened, they left nothing out. As Natiana reached the a part she explained what the shade discovered.
“What am I the shade said I was a half breed, but what does that mean?” Asked Natiana as she finished her soup.
“Well a half-breed is a simple thing it is were a elf and human have children, but what makes their children special is that they have the ability to surpass all in physical and mental strength. Why that is I do not know.” Natiana gave Fenlore a look as he finished. Reading her look perfectly he said “No nether of your parents are Elves but one must have been a half-breed also. They must not have known.” “Why is she a half-breed if one of her parents wasn’t an elf? I don’t understand.” Asked Will Natiana looked up with surprise at the question and with increased interest.
“The answer to you question is not a hard one.” Said Fenlore as he gathered his thoughts. “Okay you must understand that elves are a race of magic and magic flows through their blood. Elf blood is much more potent than human blood and because it is, it will not be diluted for thousands of years. Still after such a long time elves blood is not totally gone and will always be in your family.” As he finished he took their dishes and returned.
Natiana was deep in thought while Will stared at her in amazement, “What? Quit looking at me like that. I’m still the same person.” Said Natiana who was getting very annoyed at being the center of the attention.
“Sorry, I cant help it.” Said Will who then tried to change the subject. “Fenlore, how hard is it to kill a shade?” Asked Will as he looked at his hands still awed that he had killed one.
“Normally it is very hard and only a few have done it and lived.” Answered Fenlore then a grin came across his face, “Will you have joined their ranks, though they are few you are amongst grand people now.” As he got up for bed he added “Shadeslayer!”
When he closed his door Will fidgeted and saw that Natiana was staring directly at him, “You never stop amazing me Will.” Then she got up and retired to her room.
I think it is time for bed. He turned to his room and went to bed holding the silver egg in his arms as he fell asleep.

Re: A New Begining
Howdy! Thank you all Im glad you like it. Ask questions if you got any just I might not answer it.
Chapter Eight A sickness with a blessing
Will woke then next morning with a horrible sickness. Fenlore tended to Will the whole morning. Natiana went to see Will once in that time. Before she entered the room Fenlore left with grave eyes that refused to meet Natiana’s.
She entered the room and Will was pale with tremors in his arms and legs. A small smile came to his face as he saw Natiana enter the room, “Sorry that you have to work more I want to get better.” His words were weak and filled with regret.
“You don’t need to apologize. It could of happened to Fenlore or even me.” She tried to sound reassuring but her voice showed a great concern. “You just rest and get bet don’t worry all will be fine.”
Before she could leave the room Will said “Can you take the gold egg with you, I should not have them both.” He pointed to were it rested and fell into a unwilling sleep.
Natiana walked up the eggs and picked up the gold one then examined the silver one and picked it up also and prepared to leave. As she walked past Wills bed she put the silver egg between his arms and then left.
When she exited the room she came face to face with Fenlore who had eyes that burned with anger. “Why do you have one of Will’s eggs?” His voice was quiet but had obvious anger in it.
Her face grew fierce and she began to glare back at Fenlore, “Will told me to hold on to this one.” Her gaze was relentless and eventually made Fenlore cast his gaze else were. “How is Will? What illness does he suffer from?”
“I can do nothing for him except wait, do not fear all will be well.” He stopped Natiana’s objection with a wave of his hand “Go check the cattle right now please. Will may be sick but we still have to continue to keep everything in order.” He entered Wills room and closed the door leaving Natiana by her self to ponder what has happened.
That night She checked in on Will again and found him sleeping peacefully in his bed with the egg in his arms. “Sleep well we need you Will.” she said as she left the room.
That night Natiana could not sleep so she went to Wills room and watched over him while he slept. She started to notice that the egg he held was different then before. It’s colors in the veins were changing more rapidly than before. They changed every few seconds. Why is it doing that, she thought. She returned to her room and took out the egg Will entrusted to her and examined it. She expected it to be changing also but it wasn’t. She looked gravely at the egg then returned it to the shelf were it rested.
The next morning Will was able to sit up and stay awake longer. “So you are starting to recover. That is good, but you are not out of it yet. Stay in bed and rest Natiana and I are going to go make sure the fence does not need to be fixed.” Said Fenlore as he stood to leave
“Okay just be careful.” Said Will then quickly adding. “Fenlore what has happened to me I feel different, changed you could even say.” Fenlore just smiled and exited the room humming happily.
When Fenlore came out side he saw that Natiana had already saddled their horses and was mounted ready to ride. “I have every thing now let us go and return soon.”
Fenlore was caught off guard by her eagerness. “What is the rush we have all day and this job we have to do normally would take two days and we are going to try to fit it into one.” As he finished he saw that Natiana had paid no heed to his word but looked toward the cabin with her eyes full of concern. “I think he will recover soon don’t worry all will be fine in a few days.”
Natiana could not help but believe, Fenlore sounded so right anyone would believe him, “I can’t help but worry, he could not move yesterday, but now he acts as if all that has happened was common. How could you or him be so confident?” Her word were dry and empty but before Fenlore could answer she started to ride off to a hard day of work a head.
After Fenlore and Natiana left Will made an attempt to leave his room but he was racked with horrible pains when he started to cross the threshold of his door. Why can’t I leave? What have I done wrong? He pleaded with his thought as he dragged himself to his bed and laid. He grabbed his egg and held it above his head to examain the changing colors he had just now noticed. In a few second the strength he had started to disappear. Before all of his energy was sapped from him a small crack appeared on the egg it gradually grew. Will dropped it and it busted open and a noble winged animal stood before him fanning its wings. As it hatched Will's strength left him and he lost consciousness.

Re: A New Begining
Here is the next chapter enjoy and tell me what you think.
Chapter nine Planning
There in the dark chained to a wall stood Osiris. He was badly injured but still held his head high with pride. The room he was in had no windows, one door, and a small vent on the roof. It was made completely of dragon metal. The door had a small slit and also had some vents at the top.
Osiris faced the door and in a few seconds three shades entered “You are strong my elf but you can not last for ever.” Said the shade who was in charge.
“You are nothing but a puppet to your master you fool and if you think I am here because you captured me than think….” Before Osiris could finish the shades attacked him mentally all at once. But their attack was easily stopped. “Fools you can not breach my defenses. Vargoth got lucky when he breached my mind and it wont happen again.”
Eyes full of anger the shades left the room leaving Osiris alone in the darkness. “Are they gone?” asked a female voice in Osiris head. “Yes, how are the preparations coming? Are they going to be ready?” He replied.
“Yes they will be ready. I miss you. I know they have hurt you. Why do we delay? Why must we be separated from each other?” The her voice was full of concern and anger.
‘Do not worry Emria, this has been part of my plan. We shall be reunited soon. I have learned all I need.”
A great deal of relief mixed with anger flowed into Osiris’s mind. “I don not care you will not leave my sight ever again if I see a scratch on you.” The words were full of anger but love at the same time.
“I would have it no other way. But how are we going to get me out of here? The original plan wont work with the new information I got. So how are we going to do it?”
“Combining our strength we could take control of a shades mind and use him to get us out.” suggested Emria.
“We could do that but there are so many shades here it would be noticed.” We will need a diversion.”
“Yes I suppose we could send Floar and a few others to Feinster and try to draw out some of the shades. It will be a risk for them that maneuver might draw Vargoth out of Uru baen and then they would not stand a chance.”
“Well ask them if they are willing to take the risk and if so, start to prepare them. If they get separated from the main group tell them to fly to Hedarth and wait for further instruction.” Instructed Osiris.
“Okay and who is to come with me to get you?” Her voice lost its angry edge and had a kind hearted touch to it. “No one of course. It will just be you so we can go less unnoticed when we escape.” Just as he finished his conveying his thought to Emria a large group of shade entered the room and in the center stood Vargoth. Quickly Emria lent Osiris a large amount of power which was used to reinforce his mental barriers.
“So my underlings tell me that you have resisted them with great power, even while being drugged. I this true?” The shades voice sounded kind but Osiris was able to see through the deception.
“Your shades underestimated me and some of them paid dearly for it.” Said Osiris as hostile as possible.
“There is no reason to be like that Osiris. Have we not always treated you with kindness.” said Vargoth, his voice infuriated Osiris.
With a quick movement Osiris broke his restraints and leapt across the room and grabbed Vargoth at the throat. The other shades unsheathed there sword and prepared to kill Osiris. Before they got three feet away Osiris said one word under his breath and five of the shades who were charging him died that instant. He released Vargoth and returned him self to the other side to the room. “If you will leave now I wish to rest.”
All of the shades gripes on the hilts of their swords tightened as they prepared to attack Osiris. But Vargoth stopped them with a wave of a finger and left the room.

Re: A New Begining
Okay y'all sorry about the wait but I've been swamped and couldent get out of work. Enjoy the next chapter. And yeah I edited my last post because I used the wrong name for someone so Emria has already been introduesd. (Big Thanks to Serena Svit-Kona for alowing me to use her RPG characters and change them a little.)
Chapter Ten Vargoth
Osiris stood and stretched and walked around reviving his legs. “I’m not using that spell on so many shades again.” He searched his mental barrier for any weaknesses than reached out for Emria.
“You fool! You had no right to endanger yourself like that.” Said Emria as she entered his mind. “How could you be so carless. It’s not like I’m there to protect you like normal.” Her emotions were full of anger and anticipation.
“Forgive me I needed to test Vargoth. I should have told you first.” Osiris’s tried to fake regret but all he received was more anger.
“At least tell me you found out what you needed to know.”
“Yes I did you will proceed with our plan. Vargoth will not interfere.” Said Osiris with as much pride as he could summon. “I just want out of this forsaken place.”
“We will get you out.” Emria’s mood had changed to a very kind but there still was a hint of annoyance. “We are putting the plan into effect now. Don’t kill any shades and pass out like you did last night. We need you conscious.”
“Okay. How many Riders is Floar taking with him to Feinster?”
“Four, we hope that it will be enough to draw out a lot of the shades. They should be reaching Feinster about now. How many do you hope to take out with this attack?”
“I don’t know I hope around fifteen leave here and take the bait. Then maybe Floar would be able to kill five or six.” His words were full of hope but they had a large amount of sarcasm thrown in.
“FIVE OR SIX ARE YOU JOKING! WE COULD BARLY KILL THAT MANY AT ONCE WITH OUT MAKING YOU PASSOUT! No they will be lucky to kill one.”
“Yeah I know your right so why cling to false hope.” His words reviled his true feelings about the situation. His emotions flowed over to Emria before he could stop them. “Sorry. How far out are you?”
“I’ll be there in fifteen to twenty minutes.” She showed him a picture of her flying way above the clouds.
Before Osiris could talk any more the door was unbolted and opened. A few seconds later Vargoth Entered the room caring two stools. “Leave us and go take a break I don’t need you here.” He was in his duel shade form but instead of a fierce gave he had a very confused look on his face. He set the stools down and waved for Osiris to take a seat. He did. “I need answers about my master.”
The question caught Osiris off guard but he did not loose his composure. “Why ask me.” He kept his answer shot at Emria’s request.
“Because for one I don’t know much about him and two here in a few minutes you will no longer be here. So I ask again what do you know about my master and why am I able to defy him?” His expirations were different than normal he had anger but it was been fought back with kindness.
‘Be careful with what you say it could be a trap. Never trust a shade.’ Said Emria in his mind. “I will be there is five minutes just hang in there.” Emria franticly let the words out.
‘Stay in the sky until I say otherwise.’ Replied Osiris, his words were very stern. “Your master holds little true power compared to you or I.” The fact that Osiris was cooperating shocked Vargoth and it was very obvious that it did. “Your master has power but nothing compared to what we are capable of. His power lies in the fact that he can find your true name easily. If he did was not able to do that than he would be useless and I would have killed him long ago.”
Osiris stopped and looked to Vargoth to see if he had said enough but got wave of the hand to continue. “Your master is very cunning in the way he gets his servants. He will raise most of them from birth and have their true names for ever. Then when they become powerful enough he will force them to summon an evil spirit far stronger than them. He will then search through the spirits memories and finds its true name also. He then has complete control over the shade.”
Osiris stopped and looked to Vargoth who was thinking greatly on what he had just learned. “Still why am I able to defy him if he knows my true name?” Vargoth pleaded to Osiris.
“I do not know it might be because you have two spirits in you and he only knows the name of one.” He looked to the roof and contacted Emria “NOW and quick!”
Just on the roof rumbled. Osiris looked at Vargoth who just got up from his seat and left the room. Just as he went through the door the back wall in the room collapsed in its place stood a huge teal dragon. The dragon was obviously old and very powerful. Vargoth looked back at her in awe. Before anything could happen Osiris jumped on Emria’s back and then took flight.
“What was that all about?” Asked Emria as she gained altitude.
“I don’t know but we might have inside man now.” Replied Osiris and they flew off into the west.

Re: A New Begining
Y'all might not like me once you finish. I just had to cut it off! Enjoy Chapter Eleven Two of a kind Natiana carried a six foot log to where Fenlore dug a hole. She threw it on the ground and took over the digging while Fenlore prepared the log to be a new fence post. “You are a lot stronger now that you know what you are.” Commented Fenlore as he finished cutting of the last branch on the log. “How so?” Asked Natiana as she leaned on her shovel in the ground. “How come I am stronger now?” Her voice was very irritated. “Well before you could not have carried that log all the way back“Explained Fenlore as he inspected the hole that Natiana had just completed. “And you just dug six inches in two minutes.”Added Fenlore with a whistle. “I don’t think you would have thought yourself capable of doing this a few weeks ago.” “All that says is I never had to test my strength.” Said Natiana as she walked over to pick up the log. She picked it up and lowered it into the hole. Then Fenlore quickly shoveled dirt in the hole to stabilize the post. Natiana straightened the post and then they packed it into place. “Okay, you may have had the strength but you never knew it.” Natiana gave him a confused look and waited for him to elaborate. “You fought a shade and you almost killed it not even some of the strongest elves or riders could do that and come from the battle with only a few bruises.” Natiana looked at Fenlore with her beautiful brown eyes. She turned her head toward the sky deep in thought. ‘What does this mean? I never could have fought that hard if it weren’t for me knowing I was different. Could I have?’ Then something dawned on her. ‘The shade isn’t dead. If it was where are its remains? Wills arrow struck it in the heart. Fenlore and Will both say it is the only way you can kill a shade.’ She thought even deeper on the subject. ‘My sword was in its stomach when it diapered.’ “My Sword is gone.” She said out loud looking to the ground then to Fenlore. “I don’t think the Shade in dead.” “It could only live if he helped her. So she might be alive but I doubt it. They will send other to get revenge and they will look for you because your sword was logged in her stomach.” Fenlore grabbed a roll of wire and began to rewire the fence. When he finished Natiana approached him and looked him in the eyes. “How do you know so much?” Fenlore tried to walk past her but she blocked his path. Fenlore frowned and tried to go around the other way but she was to quick. Before he could make another move Natiana reached for Fenlore’s head and pulled it down so she could look directly into his eyes. Fenlore struggled but Natiana eyes flashed with anger when he struggled and for a time he looked scared. She stared deep into his eyes trying to find something hidden in his gaze. “You…” Before she could finish Fenlore grabbed Natiana and gazed at her fiercely and said, “What? What I am nothing. NOTHING YOU HEAR ME!” Walked past her and began to pack his saddle with supplies. “But you are something.” Protested Natiana, who was almost pleading for him to listen. “How can you say that you are nothing?” She waited but Fenlore made no move to answer. “You are like me, a half-breed, how can you not be happy about that?” “Because my father was a half-bread but he is a shade now.”

Re: A New Begining
Sorry it took so long y'all but here is the next chapter enjoy and tell me what you think.
Chapter 12
It was dark. No light shown in Wills eyes. He tried to move but couldn’t. What is wrong with me? Why can’t I move? He thought as lay alone in the darkness. Something rubbed up against his mind, he at first wanted to hide if he could but found that he was exposed, defenseless to this out side force. The closer this force got the more strength he recovered. Until the outside influence was completely consuming his mind. A sense of pride came from it, he didn’t know what to be proud of. Then he remembered the egg.
He knew dragons were magical but able to enter ones mind must be beyond anyone or thing. Another force entered his mind it felt wise and old. Will drew using his new found strength drew away from the vast mind that was touching his but keeping contact with the original mind that gave him strength. What is this? Who’s there? What is happening? he rambled off hoping someone was able to hear him.
A stabbing pain shot through his mind then settled as quickly as it came. Young rider you do not have to hide from me. For I am here to teach you what is happening to explain. The voice was neither male of female voice, but it was strong and vast.
Will tried to pull away again but his mind was held in an iron grip. Do not be afraid of me rider. I am only here to help you and your dragon.
I have a dragon? I am a rider? What are you talking about? Will ranted on in his head. He had a feeling that he already knew what was going on but could hardly believe that it was happening.
Yes you are a rider to a dragon. You are going through what only a select few have ever gotten to experience. You have been chosen by a dragon but your dragon is not like others. It will be stronger, grow faster, and is already wiser then most. You have been blessed to be one of the silver riders.
A silver Rider? What does this mean for me? What are the silver riders? Will asked back in a ranting mood again.
Calm young rider. I will explain all in time but now just know that you need to leave. Tell no one of me except your dragon. Not even Fenlore can know. Get them to go with you, they will be a big help on your journey. Farwell till next time young rider.
Wait how do you know Fenlore. Come back! He pleaded but the voice was already gone.
He sighed and took a deep breath in. “Wait I’m awake?” He opened his eyes to come face to face with his silver dragon. “So you’re the one who did this to me?” He asked not accusing it but out of wonder. The dragon looked at him with knowing eyes then squeaked loudly. “I’m hungry too.”
Will began to get up but stopped and looked at the dragon and shook his head. “It can’t be in my head. Can it?” He walked through the door to the kitchen and got some jerky for him and the noble dragon that waddled beside him.
