Thorn simply snorted, watching the sway of her tail as she left the room. He wasn't concerned with her trying to escape. Where would she go? He sighed and limped out of the room to find Murtagh so he could tend to the red's injuries.

Ka made it back to the stables, limping badly. He headed toward his stall and got inside and laid down. "Gah I wish I could use my seals..." He said, irritated that he couldn't heal his smashed paw.

Murtagh hadn't felt any of what Thorn had been threw becasue while they were in Uru'Baen, he kept his mind closed off, just in case Thorn started something or was challenged to a spar, Murtagh couldn't take the chance of being busy with something and then falling over in pain. Currently, he was on a practice field, sparring, or beating up, another soldier.

Rathon looked ahead. He could see the black shape of Uru'Bane now, fast approaching. He boosted the strength of the seal, making the winds behind them stronger. "Don't forget to go to the passage way." He reminded Jia.

Lean tried not to be too alarmed when Ka/Jia came back with a heavy limp. Thorn was always rough in a spar. She growled softly and flicked her tongue out toward the gold-amethyst. There is a Dragon Healer stationed close by the Stables if you want that healed. You'll need it when you spar with Shruikan or Keia. she said calmly, though a black tempest boiled beneath her coolly said words.

Thorn followed his link with Murtagh to a sparring field. He bared his teeth and snarled, his customary call for his Rider when their minds were closed to each other.

Jia growled softly, her muscles tensing in anticipation. Yes, I remember. she said, angling her wings as she spoke so she would gradually soar down to ground level. Alright, where is it again so I can bank for it? she asked, searching for any tell tail signs of disturbance along the ground.

OOC: I'm just saying...but your solganizer sig just said "DS4 makes me hot"...just thought you would like to know... xD

Ka's head shot up when he heard he would be sparing Shruikan. "What! Please tell me you're joking! Thorn was bad enough! I have to fight Shruikan too!" Ka groaned, which came out loud. "I guessI would rather have myself here than Jia...but if I could I would rather neither of us have to do this..." Then a thought dawned on him. "Hey wait...why is it I have to do this and you don't? You're a female dragon, and, no disrespect, obviously older than Jia. Why aren't you sparing them so they can mate you?" He asked bluntly.

Murtagh turned and looked toward his companion and winced at the sight. he opened his mind enough so they could speak. "What happened to you?" he asked,walking over and starting to heal some of Thorn's more severe wounds.

Rathon scanned around. "There! See that ivy covered wall? Now see how a section of ivy at the bottom is missing? That is where the entrance is." He said, pointing in the direction.

Lean simply grinned, though her eyes turned slightly darker as he mentioned her own status in the Stable. True enough, if they both weren't terrified of me. I'm over six hundred thousand years old, dear one. Would you want to mate with a female that old and powerful? And Galbatorix wants young, vital female dragons in his breeding field. I don't exactly qualify in those areas. she said, and shrugged.

Jia happened to me. he growled in reply, sighing in relief as some of the pain was reduced. I will set her in her place when I mate with her.

Jia nodded and banked sharply. She landed a few yards away from the wall and ran the rest until she stood directly beside the wall. She waited for Rathon to dismount before changing to Ka's human form. She was close enough to feel her Rider now, and she knew he would feel her. She kept her mind closed to him, knowing it was dangerous for them to speak mentally to each other lest someone overhear, but she let her anger boil over their link, hot and piercing. Yes, he wouldn't be able to mistake her presence with that siren blaring in his head.

Lean couldn't hold in a chuckle. Have you ever seen Jia in her 'Spitfire' state? Because I think you might be able to. she said, still chuckling.

Yes I intend to mate her, though Shruikan will be trying as well. She's to stay here for three months, offering her services any way she can.

Jia waved a hand,"Stop apologizing. I understand. Honestly I do." she said, and shuddered, remembering her torture. Yes, she understood his reluctance. She grinned at Xelin once he was changed, her ruby irises glittering,"You'll get used to it pretty soon." she said, and then stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Rathon in a hug,"Thank you for coming this far. Truly I do understand." she said, sending him brief images of what had transpired while she'd been there last when he brought her and Ka in. She then released him and got down to business,"Anything I should watch for in the passageway? And where can I expect to emerge in your room?" she asked quickly, shifting from foot to foot impatiently.

A man sat at a desk in a small room just outside the Stable. Medical supplies was scattered everywhere in a haphazard organization. He was lean and skinny, with lank mouse brown hair that was close cropped to his skull and spiky. He looked up at the sound of dragon paws and got to his feet to stand at the door. He bowed deeply to the gold-amethyst,"How may I be of service, lady?" he asked politely, his deep forest green eyes shining with eagerness. He loved dragons, which was why he excelled at medicine for the magnificent creatures.

Thorn grumbled. My thinking exactly. he said, and stretched his wings out to make the healing easier.

Jia nodded,"Thank you. And of course I'm coming out with Ka. Though he may be unconscious." she griped, and forced a smile. Then she spun on her heel, made a Seal to allow herself and Xelin to see, and strode forward into the passageway.

The man gently took hold of the paw, examining it in a way that caused no pain. He nodded, and disappeared into the room, coming back with a small needle. He gently pushed the sharp tip in between her scales and injected the liquid, which would deaden the nerves so it no longer caused discomfort. Then he placed his left hand over the top of the paw and bowed his head. He dipped into his magic with difficulty and uttered the healing incantation. The flesh beneath his hand writhed as the bones were set in their normal place. A full two minutes passed before he staggered back, panting hard, and leaned against the door frame,"Your paw is now healed, lady. The feeling will return in ten minutes." he murmured, and bowed again.

Thorn shook his head before lowering his head to touch Murtagh's chest with the tip of his snout. Thank you, little one. he murmured, his tone warmer than before.

Jia grinned,"You could stay out there with him if you want. Ka is my responsibility, and I don't like the thought of you possibly being hurt." she said, pursing her lips. After some ten minutes of fast walking, she came to a dead end. She looked up and found the trap door. She felt around the edges and found the latch. She released it and the trapdoor swung down, revealing blackness. She pushed aside the rug, but her arms weren't strong enough to get up there on her own,"Help me up, will you? I'll pull you up once I know the coast if clear."

Thorn rumbled gently in his chest, then backed away a few paces and laid down, his ruby eyes glittering. You were having fun with your spar. Would you like to continue? he said.

Jia grabbed the edges of the hole and hauled herself up, but Xelin didn't give her the time to turn and help him up. Once he was through she closed the trapdoor and recovered it with the rug. She paused, testing the direction that Ka was in. It was vaguely somewhere to her right. She risked it and opened her mind enough to hear him. Rathon said you'd be in the Stables. Can you show me an image of the hall just outside the Stable doors or something so I can teleport to you? she asked her Rider quietly.

Ka was surprised to hear how close Jia was already. He had been expecting her to take much longer to get inside. He showed her a picture of the hall way outside of the stables and how he got there from the throne room. but didn't respond back.

Murtagh shook his head. "No, I'm too tired right-...." He stopped. For a brief second, he thought he had felt someone that he knew. "Did you feel that Thorn? It felt like Jia's Rider...Kale...but he couldn't be here...not this soon, could he?" He asked, wondering if he was just imagining things.

Jia received the image and nodded. She grabbed Xelin by the upper arm and teleported just outside the Stable doors. She opened them a crack, seeing a sleeping Shruikan and Keia. Noting no other dragons, she slipped inside and bolted toward the end stall. Coming to it she rounded the edge and skittered to a halt. Her arms crossed over her chest and her ruby eyes narrowed,"You are so dead for pulling that stunt, Kale. I'm restricting you from your Seals for a week for making me panic like that." she hissed, then her face fell and she leaned forward to wrap her arms tightly around his neck. A tender purr had her spin around, but she sighed in relief with a hand to her chest when she saw it was only Lean. Well hello there, precious one. rumbled the ancient black with a grin. Good choice of companion, my dear. she said, and chuckled. Jia couldn't help a low laugh,"Lee you old trouble-maker." she muttered under her breath, knowing the female would hear it.

Thorn's head shot up and around. I felt it. He could with help, I suppose. Should we go check the stables and make sure Jia is still securely there? he asked, crouching a bit so his Rider might mount up if he wished.

Jia smirked and placed her hand on Ka's head, scratching softly beneath a scale,"We need to wait for Xelin to come back with some energy to switch us back, then we can leave." she said. She turned her head to Lean when the black cleared her throat. I could give you energy, precious one. I'm old and have many years of gathered energy within my Heart. she offered. Jia nodded,"Perhaps-" but she abruptly cut off. Thorn was getting closer. She quickly cast a Seal to make her invisible to eye, smell, mind, and sound, then turned to Ka,"Curl up like your asleep. Thorn's coming." she warned.

Thorn nodded and bounded forward, quickly navigating the halls to the Stables. He nudged the door open and padded down to Jia's stall.

[color=#800000:caterpillar]It didn't take long for Xelin to find the massive energy that radiated from thousands of Eldunaris. They were all in a room, seemingly unprotected. He stepped into the room and got to the Eldunaris, but as soon as he touched them he was back at the door. "Well that's problematic..." He said, trying again.[/color:caterpillar]

[color=#FF0000:caterpillar]Ka nodded mutely and curled up and pretended to sleep just as Thorn got to his stall. Murtagh looked around. "Maybe we were mistaken...or maybe not." He said jumped form Thorns back and stepping into the stall. He drew his sword and started swinging it slowly in front of him, trying to hit something that wasn't there. Ka looked up at him. [i:caterpillar]"What are you doing?"[/i:caterpillar] Murtagh looked up sharply. "Quiet you!" He said, and continued.[/color:caterpillar]

Ka watched as Murtagh swept around his stall and used his and Jia's connection to tell where she was. He contained a sigh of releif when he felt her in Lean's stall. Murtagh finished with his sweep and sheathed his sword, looking a bit disappointed. "What's wrong? Didn't find the ghost you were looking for?" Ka said, making fun of how stupid Muratgh looked, swinging his sword around an open stall. Murtagh scowled at this. "You would do well to keep your trap shut while you are here. You are here to serve and been seen, not make witty comments when you feel like it." Murtagh spit in the stall and remounted Thorn. None of this really bothered Ka, as he knew he would be leaving soon.

After several failed attempted, Xelin finally figured out a hole in what ever spell was used to protect the Eldunaris. Instead of going after them, he set it in his mind that he wanted to touch the wall behind them. Of course he would have to move a few to get to the wall. after he had about 10 moved, he gathered them all up and ran back to the stables. He stopped a couple dragon lengths away when he smelt Thorn. Crouching in a shadow, he waited until he was sure the coast was clear.

OOC: should we have Ka spar with Shruikan? Or just let Jia take him back and beat him to a pulp already? lol

Hmm...Well, other than to get away, Ka probably isn't that eager to actually leave yet, so I say spar.lol

Jia sighed in relief as Thorn and Murtagh left, but it quickly turned to horror as she heard heavy dragon paws. She peered out and Shruikan was making his way down. The huge black male stopped in front of Ka's stall. Time for our spar. Follow me. ordered the black, and turned to stalk down the isle. Jia's eyes blazed with anger and she was beginning to make a Seal to burn the smug grin from face, but a heavy paw slammed her into the ground, albeit silently and gently. She squirmed uselessly under Lean's paw, her anger only sharpening,"Let me up!" she hissed at the ancient dragoness. The black female glared at her. When your thinking clearly, sure. retorted her friend. Jia sighed in exasperation and twisted around until she could see Ka.

OOC: x_x oi...who was the other dragon Ka was supposed to spar? Lean mentioned him last night...

Ka didn't have time to be relived at Red Rider pair leaving before Shruikan came to his stall and announced that he wanted to spar. A look of calm acceptance came over him as he stood and followed Shruikan. He blocked himself from Jia because he knew he would probably get hurt and he didn't want her to feel it. He followed him to the sparing room and took his place across from him, instantly crouching low into a defensive position,tail swaying slightly behind him.

Once Thorn and Murtagh left, Xelin dashed into the stables, but quickly ducked into a stall when he saw Shruikan. He waited until he left, suppressing a growl when he saw Ka, and ran down to where he had seen Jia go to. "Jia? Where did you go?" He said, looking around, still holding the 10 Eldunaris. He didn't even notice Lean.

lol Autarkeia, Keia for short. She's my female evil dragon, and currently sleeping, I believe...

IC:
Shruikan nonchalantly took his position, assuming this would be an easy win. His bulk would assure that. He lunged forward to the left with his massive jaws, striking out with his right paws to box her in so her only escape was to jump back or duck.

Jia removed the Seals so she was visible again. She was still pinned beneath Lean's paw,"Right here. Would you please get this big lug off of me so I can drag Ka back here after I skin every scale off of Shruikan's hide?" she growled, sending an irritated glance in Lean's direction. The female simply grinned innocently.

Ka had gone into a mental state of no feeling. His eyes gave away nothing, and he seemed to not care. When Shruikan attacked, he jumped back, unfurled his wings, flapped and jumped over the large dragon. While he was still the the air, he launched three bolt fires down at his back. Once he landed he aimed at the tip of his tail, which was scared from when they first met, and shot a charged bolt fire at it.

Xelin spun and around and looked up at Lean, his jaw dropping. One word pervaded his mind; beautiful. It took all he had to keep from staring at her and her beautiful shining black scales. "As...as much fun as that sounds, I can feel your anger form here. If Ka is to get out of here alive and undetected then we need clear heads..." He said. It was a good cover to continue staring at Lean.

OOc: *facepalm* geez...Xelin is swooning over Lean...

Jia huffed a breath, closing her eyes to hide their writhing depths. She opened them again and she was coolly in control,"Lean, please let me up." she said quietly. The female huffed, ruffling her short spiky black hair. No. Your faking. You honestly think you can fool me, Jia? said the dragoness with a chuckle. Jia ground her teeth and closed her eyes again.

Lean lowered her head to Xelin, amusement within her sparkling navy blue irises. Though I can't say I'm not flattered by your gaze, I'm curious as to why you are staring at me, young one. she said, and chuckled lightly.

Shruikan blinked, surprised as she leaped over him. He snarled and arched his back as her attacks hit him, though they only stung. He had just started to move when it abruptly felt like his tail had been sawed off. He roared and his knees buckled, but he didn't stop moving. She was behind him somewhere. He swung his tail hard from side to side, aiming blindly with the barb on the tip.

Shruikan growled, whirling around to face her. Don't you understand my position yet, young one? I would love to set you free and allow you to fly back to your Rider, but I can't, dammit! I would happily yield to you as well, but I can't do that either! he snarled angrily, though his anger was more at himself that at the situation.

Dear, I've been around for a long time, and I know that look. Not to mention that your blushing to the roots of your hair. she said, grinning. She glanced down at Jia, who nodded and shrugged,"If you let me go, I don't care." she said, rolling her eyes a bit. Lean lifted her paw, letting Jia get to her feet. In return, she set the Changing Seal on her, shifting her into the form of a human woman appearing to be in her early twenties. She had raven black hair that curled a bit, though it was natural, and reached down to mid-back. Her eyes were as before, a sparkling navy blue. Her clothes were of a casual kind; soft grey fitted tunic with a black knee length circle skirt. Lean crossed her arms over her chest,"Now that I'm on the same level as you, perhaps you can tell me the truth." she said with a kind smile as she lifted her eyebrow.

Shruikan winced and waited for the fire, but was surprised when it split and passed on either side of him. He received her image and instantly did just that, falling to the ground and roaring loudly in pain. The cry was quite convincing.

Lean's cheeks turned light pink, but her smile stayed in place,"I appreciate that, but I think I might be a little old for you. You deserve someone closer to your own age." she said, though her face was on its way to crimson. She smiled kindly,"I'm Lean by the way." she said, and curtsied gracefully.

Jia pursed her lips with amusement and leaned against Ka's shoulder with arms crossed over her chest. Xelin is crushing on Lean is what you missed. she told him privately with a low chuckle.

Lean giggled like a little girl, her cheeks turning rosy. She dipped her head in return, her navy blue eyes glittering,"A gentleman. One of those is hard to come by." she said, and chuckled softly. She looked back at the grinning Jia. Though she was in Ka's human form, her ruby irises still gleamed with amusement. Lean's blushed deepened, and she lifted her eyes to meet Xelin's,"I haven't seen any Shadow Dragons before..." she paused, thinking of one that she knew. But she didn't mention it. "despite my age." she added.

Jia lightly smacked Ka on the neck, though it would only feel like a tap to him. Oh come on. Let them have their fun. she said with a grin.

Lean's blush deepened by a shade as she brushed a lock of hair behind her ear,"I'm over six hundred thousand years old, Xelin." she said quietly, looking down at the ground. If she looked up at him, he'd see embarrassment at her shyness in her navy blue eyes.

Jia sighed and shook her head, shifting to lean against the wall in Lean's stall. She just stood there in the half-shadows, watching the two.

Lean smiled and looked away, a strange feeling of warmth in her chest. Her navy blue eyes snapped back to his, however, when he took a step forward. She tensed minutely but otherwise didn't react,"Xelin...I can't. I know what you will ask of me, but I can't. I can't leave in human form with you and leave Urû'baen." she paused and swept her arm idly around her without looking away from him,"I protect all of them. Every dragon that lives here in the Capitol is under my watch, to make sure they aren't hurt or punished without justification. I can't abandon them to Galbatorix's mercy. Please understand." she pleaded, her navy blue eyes begging with him.

Jia emerged into the fresh air with a big smile on her face. It widened into a grin as she saw Rathon, still there waiting,"I got him." she said, her ruby irises gleaming.

Lean was out first, gazing around for any lookouts that might spot them. Finding none, she turned to Ka's brother,"Alright Rathon, we have Ka back and several Eldunarí's, including mine, with us. Can we please shift them back into their correct bodies?" she asked with a soft chuckle.

Okay, just so I have this right...The great 'punishment' is a spanking? Right?lol

Jia glanced from her Rider to Rathon, who seemed eager to see Ka's Seals be 'restricted'. She crossed her arms over her chest and glared at Ka,"Maybe not a week. Maybe just a day or two." she compromised, tilting her head to the side. In answer to Xelin's question, she sent the image that Rathon had showed her to him so he would understand Rathon's eagerness and Ka's dismay.

Upon seeing what was to happen to Ka, Xelin burst out laughing, making Ka's ears go red. He looked up at Jia pleadingly. "Or not at all? I promise I'll never do it again!" He said, hoping to win her over.

Jia pursed her lips as if in deep thought. She tapped her chin a few times, then spoke up,"Once. That's all I'll do. If Rathon has any more he wants to add, well, that's up to him." she said, and strode forward the remaining paces until she stood directly in front of Ka. She grasped him around the waist, tipped him over, and brought her hand down hard on his backside. Though instead of spanking his behind, she spanked him at the top of his thigh, where it would sting most. Then she tipped him back up, kissed him, and stepped back with a grin threatening to overwhelm her lips.

Jia grinned and pranced forward until she stood in front of him. She pursed her lips,"He's never useless when I'm around. Remember he still has his magic from his connection to me." she said, and smiled up at Ka. She hugged him then, laying her head in the crook of his neck and closing her eyes,"I'm just glad your safe." she murmured into his skin, her voice a bit muffled.

Lean backed a few paces toward the passageway, though she looked briefly at Rathon. Her gaze quickly left the Reaper and transferred to Xelin. She bit her lip, then reluctantly approached him. She stood before him for a few moments, tongue-tied. Then she finally found her voice,"Galbatorix typically sends me out on a mission roughly every other week. If you hang around this side of Alagaësia, its very possible we will meet again." she murmured, looking at the ground with embarrassment. Her cheeks were a light, delicate rose color.

Jia sighed contentedly. Her Rider was safe. Rathon was safe and free. And even she was safe. Everything was right.

Lean smiled,"He sends me out there every now and then as well. Of course there's nothing he could do to stop me from just visiting the islands either." she brushed a lock of hair behind her ear. She was startled by his embrace, but she relaxed against him. Her smile widened as he whispered for her to be careful,"Believe me Xelin, I think I can take care of myself." she murmured, her cheeks turning pink. Then she did something she never would have done were they in draconic form. She leaned forward and pecked him on the cheek. Then she waved farewell to Jia and Ka, turned, and fled into the depths of the passageway. She knew she would be able to change back once she was back in the Stables.

This thread has roughly 52-53 pages, depending on posts. The longest Rp is 66 pages long. Kind of creepy/weird/cool.

Ka nodded once and gathered up the Eldunaris and put them in the saddle bags and mounted up. "Aright...so how long will it take us to get there?" He asked as he strapped his legs in.

Five days to a week if we take it easy, maybe three or four if we go like a bat out of hell. she replied, leaping into the air with a couple strokes of her wings.

Ka replied quickly. "Lets take it easy...no need to rush right?" He said. He grabbed the saddle when Jia took off into the air. After a little while of flying he spoke up again. "What do you think is up with Lean and Xelin? They seemed to have gotten friendly pretty fast..." He said, thinking about how they reacted to each other back at the stables.

Ka didn't have an opinion on them one way or another. Actually, he didn't have an opinion of anything when it came it matters like that. So he simply nodded to himself and continued to ride in silence.

Jia shrugged lightly and went to her own thoughts. She absently wondered if she would ever find her own mate, or at least a partner to lessen the loneliness within her heart. It was a different emptiness from when she was separate from Ka.

Ka's own thoughts began to wander to topics similar to Jia's. It didn't bother him, but if at all possible he would like to continue the royal Reapric line. He shrugged the thoughts away, as a pang on loneliness hit him. He suddenly got an idea, and searched himself for the seal. He didn't find it. He thought for a moment, and remembered that his seals were blocked. With an irritated sigh he let his head rest on Jia's neck. He had planned to take on his dragon form and fly with her, but that was impossible without the use of his seals.

OOC:
I checked it, but my dad would freak if I did anything without his permission. No joke. He'd possibly confiscate my laptop. I'll ask sometime tomorrow.

IC:
Jia idly paid attention to the direction Ka's thoughts were going. She chuckled as he tried to use a Seal, having already forgotten they were restricted. Oh alright. You've probably been punished enough. Is there a way to unrestrict your Seals? she asked with a grin.

Think we should end it here in a few. What better time to end a thread than on a starry night sky?lol

Jia shook her head at his question and laid down in a half circle around the fire. She curled around Ka and nudged his arm with her snout before placing her head in his lap contentedly.

It didn't take long for Ka to fall asleep that night. That night, Ka's dreams weren't exactly pleasant, but they were so explicit that his mind auto-blocked Jia from them. The next morning, he didn't want to talk about them. It didn't take long to get to the Eldunari hideout, Ka still couldn't pronounce the name. And then from there, who knows?
