Eriel nocked her bow, "Draw your weapon of choise. Something approuches." Her voice betrayed her worry. She started scanning the forest. Emrhyst growled when a noise was heard. Soon, it could not be denied, the portal stood before them, though it was covered with trees and vines. "Well, here we are!"

Fangoth snorted. We're not going on without you. Now deal with this female, and lets see the portal, siad Fangoth. "Look whos impatient now! Ha! Well, this is Ohanzee's bother some situation to deal with. Now lets be polite and leave, and wait for him at the portal," said Verna. Fangoth snarled. Okay, do I have to tell Erial and Emrhyst about that time when your mum came and visited? Hmmm?? taunted Verna. Fangoth's ears flattened against his head. Nooo...
Well, that's settled now. Verna went towards a fallen tree far away from the centaurs and sat on top of it, with Fangoth following her.

Eriel laughed when she realized what was going on. "Okay.... whatever you say." Emrhyst snorted. "C'mon Emrhyst, give the guy a break." Eriel said amidst laughs. They made their way towards the tree, no one laughed. And then a burst of laughter, enough to shake the entire wood came from the tree. Eriel doubled over, clutching her stomach, still laughing."

"Who was she? I mean, was she part of your former herd?" asked Verna. She jumped from the dead tree log, with Fangoth following, and walked towards the portal. I think it's still active. But that doesn't mean anything though. I'm not like Evona where she could sense if a portal was near, and if it was active or not. Sadly, she's not with us at the moment, said Fangoth. Verna smilied and patted Fangoth's head. "He's right. Now, lets go!" Verna walked towards the portal moving the dense vines out of her way.

Eriel and Emrhyst didn't laugh when they saw what happened. "Emrhyst, wait for me at the portal." Eriel turned to face Ohanzee and examined his nose. "It's broken." Was all she said. "Breathe with your mouth for awhile, I'm going to fix it." She passed her hand over his nose and muttered, "Waise heill." It quickly healed. Eriel turned red as she apologized for her actions and rushed into the portal without waiting for a reply.

Verna and Fangoth eagerly stepped into the swirling mists of the portal. Well, that elf knows how to use magic... Too bad that you don't know any powerful healing spells like that, taunted Fangoth, playfully. Verna rolled her eyes and sat down on the moist forest floor, for they had just steppped out of the portal. Then she thought for a moment.
Remember what city Solomon told me to go to... Ahhh... I can't remember. Fangoth probably knows, but I don't want to ask him.. Must. Remember... Verna rocked back and forth thinking. Fangoth sat down and wached her think. Then she jumped up. "I remember! Yeah!" she exclaimed. She pranced around Fangoth like an idiot. Fangoth covered his snot with his rather large paws.
"And its cold!" she exclaimed. Verna, I knew that. But I'm nice and warm with my thick balck coat. And its about to snow. And there are- Fangoth was cut off for Verna hugged him. Fangoth sighed and got up with the halfling holding on to his neck. Verna, your choking me, said Fangoth glumly. Verna frowned and sat down and gave Fangoth a dirty look.
Ohanzee, Emrhyst, and Eriel, do you want to continue on traveling with us? We're going to Helfithe. Which is a pretty populated city. If you do, me and Verna are going to set up camp and rest for a few hours, asked Fangoth.

"I will travel with you. Besides, I could teach you afew stuff about magic." She said with a smile. Emrhyst extablished a mental link with Verna and said , I will follow you too. After all my rider and I are travelers and there's no harm seeing a new city.

"Okay. Luckilliy(sp) I have a map. Now, lets stay near the portal too, and then we'll set off in the morning," said Verna.
Verna, make sure that you read the map correctly, and we'll have to slepp without the fire. I don't want to attract anything's attention in this area. Now, lets find a peaceful cave and rest, said Fangoth.
Verna found a rather dry, large, and unusaully warm cave that was uninhabited. Fangoth went in first and laid down on the rock floor, and Verna montioned for them to follow. "It's large enough for a dragon. And, it's near the portal."

"I don't really like stone but it will mave to make do. In the mean time, I'll set up afew natural defences." Eriel melded her mind with Emrhyst and whispered, "Deloi moi!" The earth around the cave rose to make an earth wall. "Adurna!" The huge gap inbetween the wall and the cave filled up with water, just as Ohanzee leaped in. (OOC: Not God-moding I hope? ) "That's better."

Verna inspected the defences. "I hope that people think this is natural," she said. Fangoth snorted. Well, that'll do. Verna, start the fire. Luckilly, we have wood and stones to start the small fire, said Fangoth. Verna got up, unwillingly, and gathered a few stones and a bunch of sticks. Then she sat down and started the small fire.

IC: Eriel sat by the fire and took out a scroll to read. Her dragon curled protectively around her. She then heard a rustle of leaves. Her hand strayed to her sword hilt, her eyes examined the tiny gaps she had left in the earth for ventilation. She saw nothing. She relaxed and put wards around her companions and opened her mind for anything hostile. She brushed the mind of another but it shyed away from the contact, thinking that was was just a stray animal, she relaxed and continued reading though she kept her mind open.

OOC: Should I give you some of my arrows?

OOC: Ok.. so the chain now is ,Eriel, Ohanzee, Verna, Arai'as?

Verna woke up for a strange reason. Fangoth, what's wrong? asked Verna. She looked around and then watched the flames. Fangoth watched the opening intensely, looking for any unusual movement or sounds. Nothing really, I'm just tense, and that's all... Verna agrees, unsure to believe him or not.

Eriel noticed Ohanzee's action and had to suppress a laugh as he realiased he had no arrows. She quickly walked over to him and said, "Here, take some of these." She handed sixty arrows to Ohanzee then added ," All my arrows are fletched using the Golden Eagle's feathers. Keep it secret, and keep it safe." She walked back to the fire and leaned back on her dragon. She was vaugely aware that it was night again. With a start she put out the fire then whispered ,"Listen!"

Fangoth got up and went towards the opening of the cave, sniffing the air. Verna stayed in the cave with her sword ready. What do you smell Fangoth? Is it the creature that was following us? asked Verna. Yes, it followed us through the portal. But I don't think.... Nevermind... I'll go and investigate, said Fangoth, he stepped out of the cave.

"Fangoth!" She whispered as loud as she would dare. She rushed towards the cave and grabbed him by the scoff as he stuck his head out of the cave. A knife flashed as he was pulled back in.

Fangoth snarled. Well, somebody knows where we are at. Great. Now we can't get outside of this cave without hurting somebody... And thanks for pulling me out of danger, said Fangoth. Fangoth laid near the uintrance of the cave, watching the opening intently.

Eriel smiled then said, "If they know where we are, then i should release the spell." As she was about to, she hesitated, and asked, "When i release the defences, what will we do?"

OOC: But he's busy! We should just go on without him? We'll have to wait forever otherwise OO

IC: "Verna, what about you? Once i release the spell, you can expect hundreds of creatures outside. Our only chance is surprise."

"Well, we will have to take the chance. If we do this monsters will come in, or they'll leave us alone because we lifted the spell and there is nothing to see. You see, I has to deal with this before. In Avalia, monsters are atrracted(sp) by the use of magic. Even the simpilist spells made the monsters come and investigate. I don't know why, but we should take the chance," said Verna. At least you used your head this time, Verna. But you forgot something, this is a diferent area, not Avalia. We know nothing about it. Evona and Merry knows about it, well they should, sense they had us come here. said Fangoth.
Verna nodded in agreement and waited for their companions replies.

Eriel opened her mind for a moment and withdrew as she felt a powerful consious stab at her mind. She grit her teeth as the pressure became more intense. Emrhyst sensed her rider's predicament and lent her strength to it, even so, Eriel could not help but let out a muffled scream as she pain got unbearable. "Its not a fox," She managed to say, "The pressure is not fiery and full of life or strong like death's grip, but icy like a lich's." She screamed as they managed to break through her defences. Instead of panicking, she smiled at her companions and retaliated with a blast of force that sent the walls of the 'cave' flying outwards. She stifled a cry as the undead stared at her.

Verna cursed. She had had bad expriences with undead, including a close encounter with a powerful lich in Avalia.
Fangoth cocked his head to the side. He blinked. Is it trying to get ito your mind? Verna asked. Nope. He probably thinks I'm a dumb mutt. But I'll teach the difference between a mutt and a magical mutt. Fangoth snorted. Verna grinned, ear to ear, and took out Leafagas, ready to fight off undead, with Fangoth readying himself for battle.

Eriel sighed lightly. "Geuloth du sverda." She ran her fingers over the blade and smiled as the familiar red sparked jumped from finger to edge. She twirled her blade and slammed its edge, now blunt, into the head on a witch then kicked another in the thigh.

Fangoth lept onto a creature, and ripped off it's head. He continued on doing the same method for the other creatures. Verna twirled Leafagas and lunged at a ghoul. She screeched when one nicked her thigh. Fangoth attacked the barriers of a magicain's mind.
