"Do not believe such a witch, she was the one that never wanted to cure you in the first place, I only want to be your friend and protector." said Zayl. "If you do not want me to be your guard then I understand and then I will take my leave and never speak with you again." said Zayl and he meant it right out.

" I do want her cured, and she does not need you for a guard, and we will be happy with your leave." Reb said angrily.

IC: "Well I'm not leaving until I get an answer."said Zayl. "What is our quest anyway?" asked Zayl.

" It is D'rans actualy. I do not yet know what drives him to this city, but I hope to find out soon. He is so sollem when he talks about the city, he must have had a bad exsperiece there." Reb whispered, looking at D'ran with saddness.

Marcia smiled and said "I will be glad to travel with all of you, there is no need for anyone to leave. I don't need protection i can defend myself but I will feel safer with you here"
She sat down by the fire and said "so where are we going?"

"Well me and Roderick just wanna get going" said Zayl. "This place is getting boring, we've been here too long" said Zayl. "What do you want to do?" asked Zayl. "Do we have any idea on Galbatorix and his plans?" Zayl asked.

Marcia thought back, in the town she had heard many unfinished sentences.
"Galbatorix? I've never heard of him why??"
Marcia was confused.
"The king is delving in shadow magic though. A man came and got a book for him last month, and let me assure you that if he can do half of what's in there things are going to get dangerous."

"Well then what evil king resides in this place?" asked Zayl.

Marcia shook her head "I don't know, all i've heard is whispers, bits of conversations, i don't know what thrwatens the rest of the world, but whoever the king is seems dangerous."
Marcia looked around and wondered what they were going to do togethor.

Marcia raised "There isn't much alive here, though there is plenty of evil in the town, but i do not see what good comes from killing. Though i think it would be better to find out what D'ran intended to do here first"
She thought about klling someone and shuddered.

"Well I think it is time to be moving on" said Zayl. "This place is boring and I want to kill something soon" said Zayl and started circling around.

"what do you mean by something" Marcia looked at him disgusted "I'm something do you want to kill me?"
Marcia was angry "You think this is boring? You can't stop for a minute, and appreciate that there isn't evil everywhere trying to kill you? No you have to complain that you can't kill anything"
Marcia was angry and started taking deep breaths, the wind picked up and the fire flaired. then she was calm and everything was as it had been.

"I'm sorry, it's just if I don't do something I get bored and I really want to do something, No I don't want to kill you, you are too much of a good friend for me to kill you" said Zayl.

" Bite your tounge stranger. If you felt all the animals feel, you wouldn't want to kill. Your blood lust will be your down fall. As for me I am going on a ride, Elaine do you want to come. Cobalt will be a good boy. Wont you Cobalt?" Reb asked then saddled her horse and mounted then waited for the girls answers.

"If you felt all the animals feel?" asked Zayl. "I do not understand your words, besides they are poison." said Zayl. "Your horse never answered, sorry," said Zayl and sagged against a tree.

" I mean if you are connected to nature and all the living you wouldn't like to kill. I wasn't waiting on cobalt to answer but Elaine." Reb said angrily.

"You said, Won't you Cobalt?", "So typically you were asking your horse" said Zayl. "I wouldn't care any other way, I just want to kill some pirates or something, it's not like they deserve to live." said Zay.

" No one deserves to die"

Elaine nodded "I would love to go for a ride"
Elaine walked over to cobalt and smiled, it was a beautiful horse.
She turned to Zayl and said "There is so much more to this world than killing and evil. You just need to find a path which can calm you down. Look around, this is a wonderful place, it's true that not much happens, but there is peace here, and when you enter the town you will miss it."

D'ran smiled at something funny to himself and turned his head to Zayl. "Walkia was pretty bad 8 years ago, I can only imagine how bad it has gotten since then.." Taking a sip fromhis water flask, He thinks a bit before saying, "There might be land pirates in the town, there is diffinately some thieves," At this he glanced over at Elaine and continued, " But a king? I'm not so sure there is one...and how is it that both you and Rebekah know of this 'Galboricks' guy when no one else has heard of him?" D'ran stands up and gazes to the east at the town's street lights in the distance. "I'm going out as well, I will probly not be back till tomarrow night.." Gathering his gear, He flies to the east. Sundavar and Horal following behind.

OOC: This next part is going to take place in the next day for me..

IC: Looking at the shops D'ran grabs his coin pouch with more strength. Don't want any cut purses. He thinks. Flying around a corner he sees a door in the shadow and lands to walk over to it. Glancing behind him he quickly opens the door, slides in, and shuts it back. When D'ran turns around he has a bag trusted over his head and is then knocked out.

Reb was becoming worried about her friend D'ran. He was gone an awful lot. She decided to go looking for him. " Shedo get his sent and lead me to him." Reb called, and mounted her steed, carying her pup. Shedo took off toward the town. Cobalt took off after her, and they were on D'ran's trail.

Elaine watched them go nervously.
She looked to Zayl wondering if they too were going to the town.
She shuddered in Walkia the past had a funny way of catching up with you.
"Do you want to follow them" she asked.
She looked around for a cloak to dissguise herself if they did go.

Sundavar flew high above the plains, looking for the strange people that seem to follow his friend around. Seeing the newest hume he floated down to her and said, "Maiden, You must go with all haste to the town, D'ran does not wish to listen to me..He has. . .Well, he went into a building, earlier and hasn't come out yet."

Back in the building. D'ran's captors have not removed the bag on his head but have placed him against a chair and bounded his hands and legs to the seat. Strugling against the bonds D'ran trys to see even the slightest glimpse of his surroundings. "Thou shalt regret this worms!" He cried at them, his anger rising.

Zayl decided it would be fine if he helped, he obtained his long sword and his heavy axe and ran up a tree and started jumping from tree to tree picking up D'ran's heat signatures with his dagger.

Elaine finding herself alone was at a loss of what to do.
if she returned to the town she'd be recognized, she looked around for something to disguise herself but found nothing.
She sighed and against her better judgement set off for the town.

Reb remembered Elaine, and turned Cobalt back. She found the girl following her. Reb picked the girl up, and put her on Cobalt. She put a mask on the girl. It was made of deer skin. Cobalt set off for the town. When they reached it, Reb sensed D'ran, he was in pain and he was angry. She followed his sensers, and looked through a window, and saw him tied to a chair. She dismounted, and left the girl with Cobalt. She drew her dagger, and circled the house waiting for the captors to come out.

Elaine waited nervously, she looked around, this place seemed deserted then again in Walkia that ws never a good sign.
She watched reb and wondered who had captured D'ran.
"Who did this to you?" she asked

" did what?" Reb asked confused, then ducked below teh window as someone looked in her direction.

Zayl caught up and saw Reb and Elaine just sitting there and decided he was the only one capable of saving the D'ran. Zayl looked for an easy way into the building and eventually found one, in the back of the building was a door. "Wonder if it is locked?' and he went to it and tried to turn the handle and it so happened it did. He snuck in and searching for D'ran with his dagger, upstairs and he crept up there slowly and quietly.

occ: scarecrow don't say you know that my character is incapable, so don't even Reb is not just sitting there
" He is an idiot." Reb muttered. " He will be met by the guards."
Reb snuck in a side window when they were gone and she untied d'ran.

Elaine waited impatiently she didn't like this place.
She looked at the door Zayl had went through and wondered whether they would have to save him.
He doesn't know about this entrance...
Maybe i should go tell him, but I wouldn't be able to protect myself.
She made up her mind "I'm going after Zayl" she called pulling a dagger from her sleeve.

Zayl saw a guard detering around, his purpose was that he was there. "I'll end his life to soothe mine" Zayl thought. He crept around to the other side of the table the guard was standing in front of and uttered a word "Drajin" and the guard's eyes turned red and he fell dead. Zayl turned and walked further into the building looking for D'ran.

Elaine walked past the dead man and called out "Zayl! Wait, you need to listen there is no need for you here, come back. You've already killed a man do not stay and kill more."
She looked for Zayl but couldn't see him, she drew her dagger.
"Please come back with me, it is the only safe way"
Light streamed through a door she went to look at it and didn't like what she saw.

Zayl killed another guard out of pleasure. He was on a killing spree, killing all the takers of his traveling associate. He was hungry for killings, striking all at the base of the neck and dragging the dagger deep down into the back and killing them with a vengeance he has not had in a good while.

"Zayl what do you think your doing?" she stepped forward shocked by the pleasure on his face.
"Stop it, now!" she stepped forward, avoiding a dead mans arm.
"you can't keep this up, you've got to stop, this is no place to lose your head. You hate Reb for being half shade and yet you are performing more evil now than she is doing, use your head."
She waited in a circle of his victims praying he would stop.

occ: she isn't evil
Reb waited for D'ran to catch up then she heard Elaine screaming. Reb left D'ran to get out byhimself since she had already cut his binds, then she ran up the stairs, then she was horrified at what she saw. There were bodies everywhere. " Zayl are you mad, why would you do this all these people. You are a murder and a freak." Reb said then ran back to D'ran and tried rushing him. She was afraid Zayl would come after them.

Marcia ran away from Zayl, out she way she had come, as fast as she could.
She sighed with relief when she saw the horse, and slowly slumped against the wall.
The sight of so many dead men was still in her mind, she had seen people die before, especially in winter but this... She began to wonder what would have happened if she'd tried to stop Zayl.
She sank to the ground and waited for Reb and D'ran.

ooc: I know she's not evil but Zayl treated her like she was.

D'ran pulled the bag off of his head and looked around as fast as he could. "Where did you go you slime bags." He cursed under his breath. He grabbed his wand as fast as he could and fired it upwards, only to have a corpse fall on him.


OOC: I'm Brain dead right now......and hungry.

Elaine waited patiently, this was harder than she expected, she wasn't a warrior and this may just make her one, but was that what she wanted to be?
"D'ran, Reb!" she called out to them hoping they would answer.
she waited silently after that, longing more than ever for her brother.

Zayl stood in the center of the room, bodies everywhere. Blood splattered across the walls and floors, faces contorted with fear. Zayl never felt more alive, he was happy with the fact that he had killed so many. He walked out of the room with a deadly smile on his face and was going to go and search the rest of the house for any more survivors.

" Elaine run! Tell cobalt Startranadatha." Reb called, and at that word Cobalt transformed into the fire steed. He didn't even see if Elaine was holding on. He ran at full speed into the forrest. Taking the wolves along with him. Reb drew her sword and watched and waited for Zayl.

Zayl still searched the building for more survivors finding none, he walked outside to end the lives of all the people within the town he was in, believing that this town was the cause of his friend's suffering.

Reb stopped short. She was panting from all the running she was doing. " Oh great another killer loose on the streets. D'ran we need help, you call Sundivar and I will call upon my dragon." Reb said then closed her eyes.

D'ran nodded at Reb and shouted for Sundavar and Horal to come. Grabbing his wand and dagger he rushes to scare the people away from Zayl.

OOC: I'm busy right now so I'm gonna stay quiet for a bit. btw thats good.

Reb loosed three bolts of vivid green magic, two missed, but one hit rayne in the chest, knocing the sword out of his hand.

OOC: How was that?

OOC:Very god modey...its better to let the other people use their weapons...then say if it hit you...also let them move around and talk for themselves...You'll get the hang of it.

IC: D'ran glanced around and found a child stuck in a house. Flitting over to her he pulls her legs free and tell her to run out of town and to find her parents. Turning back to a pathway blocked, he uses his wand to blast through it. The Lightning flew from his wand and crackled in the air, but didn't clear the path. Cursing, he lands and runs over to it with haste and begins to clear the blockage.

Zayl ran up and killed yet another villager. He had killed ten so far and he was on a killing spree. He saw a building with people screaming in it and Zayl launched a firey flame at the building and it caught on fire with all those people in. Zayl watched as it burned and as all those people died, he had a smile on his face as well. "I've waited for this for so long, allowing those fools to be bring me here and now I can destroy the town" Zayl thought.

D'ran raised his arm wielding his wand at Zayl and fired. The lightning cracked out and knocked his sword from his hand. Turning to the building on fire, d'ran mumbled 'garjzle' and a small portion of the flames went out by a window, not enough to put the fire out but just enough for the people to escape. "I wont let you distroy this town." He told the man. D'ran slowly moved his left hand with the dagger up above his head, his wand hand still pointed at Zayl. "You have 30 seconds to leave this town." He said challenging, the red part of his head starting to glow.

Elaine let go of cobalt and ran back towards the town, Zayl was out of control and to many people were doing, she saw a girl running towards her and recognised her immediatly.
"Have you seen the man whose doing this" She asked
"Elaine get out of here, just come with me" her friend said
"No! You run into the forest, the mountains anywhere, I have something to do"
She ran away from her friend and climbed the roof top, she saw a building on fire and called upon the wind.

D'ran continues to stare down Zayl and fires his wand at him, he missed. The lightning was just enough to charge Zayl with his enchanted dagger. Striking with his dagger D'ran barely draws a drop of blood on Zayl's arm. He quickly droped to the ground and spun around with one leg outstreatched, a dagger tip in the side of his boot.

The fire was out and she sighed relieved the magic was draining her. So much so that when she went to jump to the next building she stumbled and fell into the alleyway.
"Agh" She screamed, worst of luck glass, it pierced her leg and blood streamed down, she limped into the street and saw Zayl.
And the sight of him hurt her more than the glass, was this really the man who had offered her friendship, offered to protect her?
She wept as she saw him and slowly limped towards him not really knowing what she was going to do.[/i]

Sundavar swoops down and blocks Elaine's path, saying, "I wouldn't do that if I were you. Best let D'ran fight him untill he is weak enough to hold down." His great serpintine head looking over at the two brawling.

occ: wait please you need to wait for someone else to come on
Reb ran around the building that was on fire. She bent the fire until it was a fire serpant slithering all around her and it left the people alone. Fire was a dangerous pet to play with. You had to know how to control it. She smiled as the serpant slithered to it's creator and swollowed him up whole. " That should hold him for a second. " Star Gazer I call upon thee with a comand, you unto wich ow me a favor. Stop this mad man and help me defeat Galbortrix." Reb called into the night. A minute passed then a deafening roar sounded from the far mountains. " D'ran get down now. She is coming in fast."

Zayl uttered one of another word and the fires leapt up to their original state this time the building exploded killing many. Zayl ran off before anyone could do anything and started killing more innocents just for the fun of it.

Elaine didn't like what was happenig but she knew she had to fight.
She blew with the force of the wind and the fires went out she pulled a sword off a body and ran after Zayl.
And she brought her sword forward to block his blow.

Zayl saw Elaine running after him, jabbing at him with her blade. Zayl didn't like fighting her but if she tested him he would fight back. Zayl parried with his blade looking madly at Elaine.

" I thought I was the one who tried to hurt the girl!" Reb yelled madly. She swung her blade and tripped Zayl. She landed on top of him, and held her blade to his throat. " You piece of dragon dung. You betrayed us all. This town did nothing to deserve what you brought it." Reb screeched then punched him in the gut.

Zayl knocked Reb backwards. "Reb you've pushed me too far this time" said Zayl and he ran for her choking the life out of her. He threw her against a building and then he picked her up again and threw her up in the air and Sinak swooped down to claw her all over her chest.

Star Gazer slammed into the other dragon and they went topling into the nearbye forrest. Reb wobbled over to Zayl, and said something in magic and her shade was unleashed. The wind picked up, the earth cracked. The trees bent under huricane winds. Fire burst forth and picked Zayl up and threw him into the building. Zantya slashed him with her nails. she took her dagger out and stabbed him with it.
occ: Reb looks normal

Zayl dodged the blade and uttered "Urtha" and the shade was silenced. It couldn't move from it's position. Zayl ran forth and kicked Reb off her feet and went to slash her to ribbons.

as the dagger came at her she kicked it out of his hands. Zantya would not be silenced. She jumped
bakc up to her feet and drew her sword. " Elaine get out of here." Reb said.

Wil watched the battle from just above the treetops. why do they fight? Kagraign asked. "i don't know, but the woman seems to have the advantage." Wil replied. he looked at her with a certain familiarity. then a thought hit him. "she's a shade." he stated. no, Wil, she is not a shade, not completely, she must be a shade whose human side was spared. she is an outcast in both shade and human cities. Kagraign corrected him. "heh, well, i think i'll talk to her if she survives this battle, because you and i both know that she could very well be a huge help, as she knows of loss, and being an outcast. you remember that we are supposed to be rescuing Daret from Galbatorix, right? she could help. plus, she looks as if she could be a very good friend if she gave us a chance." Wil said. suddenly, Wil heard the familiar click and sliding sound of a sword being unsheathed. he looked down, seeing the shade-woman drawing a sword on an unarmed foe. Kagraign roared and swooped down over the battlefield. Wil drew his glowing emerald sword, Kvet, which means Peace Bringer in the common language. "Stop! He is unarmed!" Wil heard himself shout. suddenly, two dragons came into view in an apparently new clearing made by the beast's fight, just inside the forest. Wil stopped Kagraign and just hovered there, all four of the fighters staring at him, as his face turned pure red. "Apparently, if he is unarmed and you still plan to kill him, he must've betrayed some pact or defiled some important item of yours, and i'm sorry, i didnt quite catch your names as i watched from my perch above the trees. i'm known as Wil to the friends that i have, and hope my intteruption wont affect the battle in any way." he tried to be formal about it, but he knew they could tell he wasnt exactly the best speaker when it came to crowds.

Elaine looked at the stranger like he was insane.
"Didn't you see the city? There are many innocent people lying dead because of Zayl. and you come here and ask them not only to stop fighting him but to intoduce yourself!"
She looked at Reb anxiously and sighed.
"I'm going to do as i'm told and flee, there is a man i must find. But I warn you neither of them are defenceless."
She looked back and said "I'm ging to look for D'ran"
And with that she ran deeper into the town.

Occ: that was great.
" Thank you for the inderduction but I must get on with this fight. Elaine we will meet again." Reb called again. Star Gazer took hold of the other dragon and flung him to the side. Reb swung her sword at Zayl.

As Wil watched how smoothly the battle had continued, he surveyed the village. what he saw sent chills down his spine. buildings, destroyed by fire. bodies lying in pools of blood with people crying over them, their eyes wide with fear that the man would come for them. Wil turned his attention back to the woman named Reb and watched as she and the traitor fought. how could anyone, even the sickest of beings, kill so many, and yet have such a calm, refreshed look on his face? this is revolting. this man, no, monster, deserves to be burned in the fiery pits of the world. he will get no respects from me when his body is buried, and though no one deserves to die in cold blood, this man has caused enough bloodshed to be slain a hundred times over. he thought. he turned to the two dragons feuding. all he could think was, dragons, even wild ones, shouldn't be made to fight. Reb's opponent has twisted this dragon, who started a pure hatchling, into some evil to rival Galbatorix himself, well, nearly.

As if Reb read the strangers thoughts she threw a white fire ball at Zayl and parried ever blow. Star Gazer was begining to tire. " Cobalt help Star Gazer or find D'ran." Reb called. Her horse thundered past her and headed for the dragon. He reared and kicked him in the head.

Zayl reared back slashed at Reb's side and ran for the hills. He had to get to the sanctuary in the middle of forest where lay a egg of power. He ran into the forest and in the middle he found what he sought. The scripts tell him that he must destroy a whole village and that he has done with pleasure. He touched the egg and it was pure black and what arose from the shards astonished him. Zayl rode his horse with dragon in lap and a dark blood red oval on his hand. He rode towards the city of the king riders to find power.

Elaine was lost, she'd gone the wrong way and now she was exhausted.
She looked around for D'ran but saw no sight of him. she closed her eyes and counted to ten, it was the only way she was going to get through this, around her all she'd ever known burned away, her leg hurt where she'd cut it and she had stopped trying to move.
"To think it was me they hadn't trusted, I was the person with a knife to my throat. Now i'm on my own again" She realized she was talking to herself and sighed.

She started walking again ignoring the pain that coursed through her leg with each step. Time passed and she was soon walking along the path that had lead her out of this city.
"I spent less than a day free from my home and now i have no home to return to" she thought bitter thoughts as she reached the clearing where they'd eaten.
Everything was as it had been when she'd left.
She called up a fire and lay down to rest.
Soon she was asleep and she slept and slept and slept.

Kagraign landed smoothly on the ground. Wil leapt off, careful not to impale himself on the ivory spikes. he turned toward Reb "Okay, that seemed like a quick end to a battle. would you mind explaining what happened here? the other girl seemed confused. i still have no idea what this was all about, but i realize that guy's gotta be stopped. i know he butchered the whole village, but why? he seemed rushed to get somewhere in the forest there." Wil said. he could feel a dark...something, emanating from the heart of the forest. there was something about that man that wasnt right. true, he killed without mercy, but deep down, i felt him crying for the defenseless, like his inner core, his most sensitive feelings, were sheilded by some want or need, and the source seems to be in the forest. Wil relayed what Kagraign said to Reb, then leaned back against Kagraign's front right foot, waiting for an answer.

Reb hadn't heard what the new comer had said. She fell back ward and held her hand to her side as blood ran down it. She saw darkness then fainted. Cobalt was frantic. He missed Elaine. He cantered into the forrest to find Elaine.

Elaine awoke and the pain set in again, she looked at her leg and sighed she hadn't the energy to heal it.
I wonder how Reb is doing, surely they can't still be fighting? I should probably head back to them...
She found a dressing and covered the wound and felt slightly better but was still worried for Reb.
She looked around the camp and picked up some food and anything that could help with wounds.
she sat on the rock undecided it would take her forever to walk back to the town, if only she had Cobalt to ride, if only she'd ridden him and not looked back...

Wil tried to go to Reb's side. her dragon growled at him, baring her fangs and swinging her tail menacingly. he stopped where he stood, not knowing whether to try to go to Reb or take precious seconds explaining to the dragon that he was trying to help. "Please, i'm trying to help her, if i dont heal that wound, she might die." Wil stood and waited for the dragon to back down or attack him.

OOC:is this considered god-moding? i didnt mean to control her dragon, i just wanted to get a protective point across.

occ: I don't mind

" Don't go near her." Star Gazer roared. But then she looked at Reb and stepped aside but made it clear if he harmed her not even his dragon could stop her wrath. Then Shedo apeared from the woods and studied the scene.

Elaine felt better and knew it was time to go. She started walking through the forest nervously she wasn't armed she wouldn't be able to defend her self.

She knew she had to find Reb or D'ran but this wasn't a safe place for a ten year old girl. She decided to hide and disappeared into the trees avoiding the path.

Wil cautiously stepped toward Reb, knowing the dragon was watching him, threatening him. he approached her and kneeled down, looking at the wound. is it as bad as you said? Kagraign asked. no, it isnt, but it's still pretty bad Wil replied. he focused, passing the barrier into the magical area in his mind. "Waise hiel" he said. the cut healed, leaving a scar under Reb's tattered clothing. Wil stood up and looked at Reb's dragon. "She should wake up soon, she'll be fine." he told her. Wil went and gathered some wood from the forest and started a fire. then he just sat and waited.

Reb didn't think that it was a good Idea to wake. Zantya was not acustom to dealing with newcomers and the man who healed her was sure to still be around, but Star Gazer was wining to pitfuly that Reb decided to chance it. Her eyes fluttered open but she didn't say anything. She thought she was still Reb but she was wrong. Zantya sat up and stared at the newcomer uncomprehending. " Zantya don't hurt him. He just healed you so just pretend you are grateful!" Reb said in Zantya's mind.

Wil looked at Reb as soon as her eyes opened. she stared at him, and he stared back, feeling a menacing presence emanating from her. This is the shade. i dont think she likes you. Kagraign warned. Wil cautiously asked, "who was that man? why did he kill so many innocents? and who, may i ask, are you? i've only heard your name a couple times. please, i mean you nor your dragon any harm. i only wish to help." he sat there and waited for her reply.

" That man was named Zayl, he killed so many for blood lust and I am Zantya the princess of the shades. I realized you mean us no harm. Reb ordered me not to harm you." Zantya answered and tired to get up but fell back down from pain.

Elaine smelt fire and heard voices she sneaked a look from behind her tree and sighed with relief she stepped out of the shadows and sat by the fire silently not sure of what to say.
She looked from Wil to Reb and waited.
