Equinox and Eris flew into the desert. None of them wanting to discuss what had happened the days and weeks prior. Both had expected their possible fate in the future, but continued on anyway. After the events, there had been a change in Eris. He seemed much more quite and secluded than he used to be. Though not angry at each other, the two hadn't talked with the other for a few days, which for both of them was odd. So it was very much to Equinox's surprise when Eris said, "I see something flying. It looks familiar."
I see it too. I think it’s a dragon! Equinox said happily. He flew faster towards the dragon, and to his surprise it was Fenirexes, and Mesaraih was riding him. They hadn't seen the two for ages.
Fenirexes, Mesaraih, what are you two doing out here? Equinox asked, happy to see them again. Eris just simply said high, not acknowledging the fact he hadn't seen his two friends for ages.

Equinox looked at the rock. It seemed slightly different than most rocks, but he wasn't sure. He sniffed it and replied to Mesaraih I don't know, it seems like it would be a lie... but I'm not sure. It should at least be checked out though. Did he say what kind of power? He replied then only to Mesaraih There was a battle not to long ago... and... Quasar... she was killed... Equinox said, tears came from his eyes as he said that. He could remember it, he could remember what Quasar had did for him... for all of them. Eris hasn't been the same, he's been all secluded and hasn't talked much.

"Heh, thanks." Eris grunted. He folded his arms and Equinox looked up at him, but didn't say much to him, he just shook his head, there was nothing he could do.

Sorry if he sounds rude, something went wrong and contorted his mind when she died. Equinox said. He thought about what Mesaraih said and replied, We'll help you. We have nothing else to do. he looked up at Eris who shrugged and Equinox replied And Eris would like to also. I wonder exactly what the power is though.

OOC: Thanks red

IC: Equinox flew after Fenirexes. He didn't mind the heat, but it was starting to get to him now. He wondered just what the power was they were talking about and where it was. Once he was Fenirexes catch Mesaraih was when he noticed the ditch. He landed next to them, and Eris climbed down next from him. Equinox could feel Eris reach out with his mind to tell him something, but Equinox recoiled, Eris still had the strange feeling of a deep black hole in his mind where Quasar's pressance once was. It was then he noticed hte strange beatle creature. He felt a paing in his leg as one struck him. In angre, he shot lightning at it, but that didn't seem to do much to its shell, so he started to claw at the beatle. Equinox then heard a voice from above him.
Elcyon?! he said surprised that she was here.

OOC: Hmmm...This looks fun, lol, can anyone join? (I just got my charries approved, so none of y'all know them yet.)

OOC: Thanks!

-Raven, there is fighting over there!-Oceanis exclaimed, swinging into a tight left turn. Her blue wings increased their beat through the air, sending her sinous bulk through the sky at frightening speeds.
-Don't land when we get there, it might be a trap.-her Rider answered, loosening her sword, Kveykva, in it's sheath. Her dark brown hair swirled in her face, red streaks flashing. Grumbling she tied it back with a strip of leather. Peeking over Oceanis's shoulder, she saw something flashing on the ground ahead. -It's to big to be a group of soldiers, and there's at least two more...What the heck is that?- she gasped, seeing an enormous beetle-like creature fall to the ground. She gasped again as she realized that the flashing things on the ground were dragons.
-I thought all the dragons were gone or under Galbatorix's control!- came the shocked remark from the young blue female that was closer to Raven's heart than anything in the world.
-Me to, I'd better call Shrel in, I wouldn't want him to get scorched by someone who thinks he's a spy.-Raven replied, casting out her mind and using her thoughts to call the falcon back to her.

"There's a falcon in the air." Eris said lazily to Equinox as he, Elcyon, Fenirexes, and Mesaraih fought.
It probably means no harm. Though there are others with it I think. Should we investigate? asked Equinox.
"No... continue fighting." Eris replied. Equinox looked at him, but shook his head. When he saw Elcyon come down he was glad, but surprised to see her. We were just flying by when we ran into these two, but yes, let us continue once the fight is done. Equinox said. He dove at one of the beetles, and flipped it over. It tried to get back on its stomach, but Equinox sunk his claws into its soft underside and killed it.
Eris used magic to blast another one skyward. When it smacked against the ground, he hacked away at it with his sword.

OOC: Hey, Astral! Just got my charries approved, so here I am. Uhhh, bad news though... It's quite possible that in about a week I'm gonna be gone for a month or longer... When I do leave, I'll be sure to post here to let y'all know. (Meanwhile, I'll be debating on who to let god-mod Raven and Oceanis.)

-Looks like they got it under control, but what the heck are those things Oceanis?-Raven asked her dragon as she circled over the group below.

-I don't know, they look like some sort of beetle. From here though they look like they're as big as a tree.-came the bemused reply. Oceanis spiraled down a little lower, eyeing the group below with a deep, thoughtful blue eye.-Those are dragons though, of that I am sure. It looks like there are some humans with them as well. Or at least, some sort of two-legs.-

Raven cautiously lowered the barriers around her mind, just enough to call Shrel back to her. Using pictures and emotions, she told the falcon to return quickly, and to avoid the group below, they might be dangerous.-Shrel is returning, Nis. Should we go down to meet them?-

Oceanis thought for a moment, then replied.-Yes, but I would prefer you announce who we are before we land.-

Raven nodded, then opened the barriers on her mind again, this time barely more than she had to communicate with Shrel.-My name is Raven. I am a Dragon Rider and this is my pair bond, the dragon Oceanis, daughter of Greentalon. Eka ai fricai un Shur'tugal. That is, if you don't serve Galbatorix.- She loosened Kveykva, her sword, in it's sheath. She reached down and undid the knots on her saddle that kept her legs in place while riding Oceanis. The young dragon flexed her talons and opened her massive jaws partly, preparing to breathe fire if the meeting turned into a fight.

Looking over her shoulder, Raven saw Shrel glide into place over, and just behind, her head.

OOC: Awww, ok. Hope you have fun though



IC: "I'll go with you Mesaraih. It will at least give me something to do and I wouldn't mind killing more of those beetles." Eris said. Equinox looked at him oddly Eris, quiet, you're beginning to act like Aaron. Eris grunted and folded his arms I wish I could repair his mind... Equinox said to himself. Equinox replied to Mesaraih I'll of course come with you. I'm in for exploring unknown areas. Equinox said happily.
Well Elcyon, as for why we are here, we were just bored and felt like flying around. We just happened to fly into these two who we haven't seen in a bit and are our long time friends. As for Eris... he just hasn't been the same I think something could have happened to his mind. He seems more secluded and distant than he used to be Equinox told her. He didn't want to bring up that again. He shook his head. He looked up at the new comers and said I'm Equinox. What are you doing here?

OOC: It's official, I am leaving on Saturday. *grumble* And it really s-ucks, because I have to get up earlier. I don't know why my mom insists on meeting at eleven in the morning. (Which means I have to be up at 7 if we're gonna leave in time.)

IC: Raven observed the group in front of her as Oceanis gracefully landed on the battle churned ground. She peered curiously at the beetle creatures, making sure they were dead. Satisfied that they were, she sheathed Kveykva. The blue blade flashed in the light, razor sharp edges gleaming for a split second before they were concealed by the black leather sheath. Shrel screeched overhead, then glided off to go hunting. The peregrine falcon was better suited for hunting in streams than a desert, so Raven quickly located a desert rat with her mind and killed it for him. Using her thoughts, she guided the grateful falcon to the meal.

-They say they mean us no harm, but don't tie Kveykva back down. Besides, it doesn't look like I'm going to be doing any complicated aerial stunts anytime soon.-Oceanis said wryly, inspecting the trench in the earth.

-I know, but they don't know that I'm as fast as an elf. If I need to I can draw my blade as fast as any elf, and faster than others. And it's easier to dismount from your back when I don't have a sword in my hand. In case you haven't noticed, you're far taller than most horses.- Raven replied, just as sarcastic her dragon. Twinkling blue lights covered her body from the sunlight reflecting off of Oceanis's deep blue scales.

Once again surveying the group before her, Raven tried to locate the leader. Finally settling on a dragon off to the side, a dark colored female who she thought was the one who had spoken last, she said aloud, "It is good to know that there are some dragons and Riders who still oppose that demon. It seems I'm coming across more and more who stand with him, rather than against him. Tell me more about the adventure you spoke of. If it involves more of those things, I'd be happy to come along. They look like they'd make a good fight." She tried not to smile when Oceanis stuck her head out from behind her shoulder and peered with one eye at a solemn looking figure in the group.

-Do not be sad, two-legs. All will be well with time.- she said, speaking directly to the man, allowing only him and Raven to hear her. Raven looked at her in astonishment, Oceanis had never spoken to anybody but her Rider.

I think he'll get better hopefully. His mind just have to recouperate. I'm helping the process go alonge. Is it alright if I return there with you some time? It has been while since I have been to the see. Equinox asked though slightly embaressed. He shook his head though, he wished he had a place to call home.

Eris looked at Oceanis, he was surprised she had talked to him. Equinox tried to get people not to, which he didn't like, but he knew why Equinox did it. Its to protect people me. As if I'm a monster. Eris said to himself. "If you want to know why I am sad... I have lost one of my friends. There, happy." he spat rather rudely.
Sorry about him, his mind was badly damaged and contorted when she died. He didn't mean to sound rude. said Equinox.
Eris grunted, "Well, I'm ready to go." Though secretly, he was glad that Oceanis had asked him what was wrong. "Sorry." he said quietly.

OOC: Yeah, but something came up, so we're gonna meet her in the afternoon instead now.


Oceanis sniffed at the hole in the ground again. She didn't like the evil feeling emanating from the temple-like structure far below. The green liquid surrounding it was far more evil looking than the building itself. -Raven, I would rather not go down there, but they may need our help. I say we go down.- Oceanis said reluctantly, growling at the thought of going inside that forsaken place.

Her claws scratched the ground as she automatically tensed as one of the dragons and his Rider flew down, or rather fell, to the building below. She smelled the air again, blue nostrils flaring. Something monstrous had stirred when the dragon had landed. Oceanis shook her head, annoyed with her overactive imagination.

Raven walked over to Oceanis and put a hand on her side. She was worried about how tense the dragon was. -Easy Oceanis, nothing will happen. If it does, the two of us are fearsome warriors. The others look like they might be able to fight as well.- she said, trying to sound cocky in order to reassure her heart bond. Raven looked at Elcyon again,"You say that like there are more evil fiends on the loose."

Her left hand strayed to the hilt of Kveykva on her right hip. She wouldn't admit it, but she was as tense as Oceanis. You could see it in the sharpness of her hazel-eyed gaze and the tendons sticking out of the wrist of her hand wrapped around Kveykva's hilt. -Well, we will accompany your group as well, if no one has any objections...- Raven said, observing the group arrayed behind them once more.

Equinox followed Fenirexes into the hole. Eris was able to keep a frim hole on Equinox with just his legs. Both looked as it turned into a large temple. Eris smirked, but said nothing.
Thanks you Elcyon. I know it won't be for awhile, but could Ephidel, Aaron, Savania, Kavashtar, and Eris come also? We haven't had a place to stay at after what happened. Equinox asked her, hoping it wasn't too much.

OOC: I'm not gonna post anything with Raven and Oceanis, 'cause I'd be out of turn, but I came to say...Good luck in your adventure and red, since it was you who started the topic, you can god-mod Raven and Oceanis until they aren't needed. (But don't kill them...or Shrel, the falcon, lol!)

OOC: Sorry it took me so long red. I thought I replied.

IC: I do not think they are. They are fine for now, though troubled mostly. It just hope that eventual we are able to overcome the age of darkness that is over this land. Equinox replied to Elcyon. He knew what he said was a lie. In truth, he had seen nothing of Klenitar, Aaron, Ephidel, Savania, or Kavashtar. He hoped they were alright.
He was pondering what his friends were up to when he saw Mesaraih and Fenirexes were attacked by strange creatures. Elcyon also attacked by some of them. Equinox wasn't paying attention as one jumped right at him. He snapped at it with his mouth, and crushed one of its wings beneath his jaws.

OOC .::. don't worry about it.

IC .::. Mesaraih shot several fireballs at one of the giant grasshoppers, noticing that they left a large charred spot on their shells. Maybe these weren't so immune to magical attacks as the others had been. He noticed, however, that even though they were lesser in defense, they were very speedy and strong, because he saw Fenirexes being knocked against a wall by one and being cut along the sides. He realized that if he let himself open, he would be sliced to ribbons by the grasshopper, who had blades along its feet. He rolled to the side to avoid such a pair of blades, then jumped on its back and thrust his sword down as hard as he could, penetrating the grasshopper's armor, then he blasted fire down into it. It rolled around to shake Mesaraih off, he jumped into the air and launched as many fireballs as he could. The grasshopper, already weakened, was too slow to avoid them, and after a few minutes of struggling with itself, it toppled over, dead. Fenirexes quickly recovered and launched himself at the grasshopper, biting into its neck and blasting it with fire, then tearing it off with a yank.

OOC .::. I'll try to leave them out for now, and when you come back, Saphirarox, I'll tell you what to do to get back in.

IC .::. Raven and Oceanis were slightly behind everyone else, and just as they were about to go help out, a wall suddenly slid into place in front and behind them, locking them inside. Don't worry about us, Raven said. We'll find a way out. They started blasting the walls with everything they could, trying to find a way out, but nothing seemed to be working.

Equinox shot lightning at a grasshopper. It jumped away, but it was slashed in the side by Eris' sword. Equinox noticed a strange grin on Eris' face as his sword slit open the body. Equinox ignored it and went for another victom.

Equiox was shocked when Elcyon snapped. He had never seen her like that before, but he shook his head Great... first Eris and now Elcyon... he said grumplily to himself. He walked over to Elcyon and examined her wound.
Eris and I can heal that for you. Eris walked forward and put his hand on Elcyon's leg injury. He said the healing words in the ancient lanugage, and Equinox aided him at healing the wound.
"We're fine." Eris replied to Fenirexes.
