What will happen to him? When he gets seperated from Katrina, will he side with the Empire or The good guys? or will iut even matter? He blamed Roran and Eragon for losing Katrina, but the Empire seperated her from him. What do you think he'll do in Brisingr or #4?

They took him away, were not sure what happened to him. Read both books so you remember

Who is he going to be loyal to though? Or will he just go to whatever side is winning?

my guess is who ever is winning sort of and if a tie with the empire because he dosen't have a great history with eregon. The empire may use him as a trap also.

But wasnt the thing in the brisingr preview a trap? Sloan want with Katrina when Eragon scyred her.. Maybe they were seperated so they wouldnt be together(isnt that the point of seperation!). Your right, Roran will proboably do anything to get to Katrina. Sloan will be in his way trying to get to her though, they still hate each other. fortunatly for Roran, all of carvahall now hates sloan, so if he comes to Roran rorans got back up. Of coure, theres always the possibility the empire has already killed sloan because he was being uncooperative or something...

Ooooh interesting ^^ Yes, I think Galby will probably spring a trap with Sloan playing a major part, but then after a few random weird kind words, he'll turn good again. They go rescue Katrina, and Roran and her marry.

But...(here's the catch)...at the end of Brisingr, the Empire looks like it's about to win. And then Sloan turns on the Varden and joins their side...

Ahahahaha agreed ^^ Sloan has betrayed both sides, and probably nobody trusts him any more. But if I were Galby, I'd make him do things against the Varden. That way Katrina can't really kill her own father, right?

I was actually pretty surprised at that preview. I mean, we were all given the impression at the end of Eldest that Eragon was pretty- no, really strong. And then he's suddenly helpless against the Raa'zac. I know, they're very strong too, but I'm just saying I was surprised...Oh! Maybe Sloan saves them? Nah...doubt it...but maybe?
