Reb meets Zantya

It was her fourteenth birthday. He was sitting across from her. He handed her a scroll. She looked at it. It was about shades intefearing with humans. She looked at it with skepticism. " But I already know about this. Why do I need a scroll about it?" She asked him not meaning disrespect. " As you know I am a shade. And that I have grown old and no longer are able to protect you. But if you forever had another shade companion then I think you will be fine when I die." He said taking out a glass bottle with a glowing black gas in it. She didn't understand. " But master! Your not going to die. You can't die. Your the only family I have." Reb wailed. " Rebekah!" He scolded. He only called her by her full name if he was completely mad at her. " Sorry master." She said and hung her head low. " Now. I don't want to hear your complaining just open this jar. My joints are old and weak and I'm not able to." He said and passed the jar to her. She gladly took it and pried the lid loose. As soon as she did a earsplitting scream shook her brain and the gas invaded her breathing pipes and her nose. She began to cough and she dropped the jar on the floor it shattered and at that moment she fainted. The old shade shook his head and then lay her on her bed. " Sleep well." He said then left the cabin. Reb woke the next morning with an splitting head ache. She sat up and walked over to the mirror and screamed herself. Her hair had red streaks and she looked like she hadn't slept for days. But then she noticed the white color in them. She screamed again and backed away from the mirror. She felt different. " What has happened to me? " She asked herself. " Your now a shade." Came a voice in her head. Reb fell backwards and looked around. " Who said that?" She asked scared. She glared around. " Zantya the priness of shades. I'm in your head." Zantya answered. Reb gawked. " I'm going crazy. I've lost my marbles." She told herself as she looked around the room and then the night before came back into focus. The last words she heard the shade say and then the jar. " That looney old coot!" Reb exclaimed standing. " He said he felt safer with another shade and so he goes and forces a demon on me." She cried. " Now don't react. I'm not going to kill you like most other shades. I'm not evil. Just a little bit mean." Zantya reasured her. " I wouldn't say you were mean. Just grumpy." Came a voice. " Who was that?" Reb asked not recognizing the voice. " My dragon Star." Zantya answered. " Great. I'm bipolar. I really must be going crazy." She said then stood and went back to the mirror but the evidence of her being what she was were still there. The hair and the eyes. " Stop that." Star admonished. " You see I found Star when she was little but she was never really able to bond with a shade and now that I have a human half your her new companion. Have fun." Zantya said and then her voice stopped. " Wait!" Reb called confused and right then the old shade walked in. He was smiling. OOC: Continued in next post.

I'm making another book, with star Gazer and Shedo in it but that is all. And I'm working on the rest. IC: Reb sudenly felt woozy. She swayed and fainted. The shade shook his head and then carried her outside and then lay her across his horse and then mounted behind her and kicked his horse's sides. Reb woke up with a splitting headache. She sat up slowly and gasped. She wasn't in her bed, but in the middle of a forrest. She didn't recognize anything or anyone. And then all of a sudden the voice in her head came back. " Welcome to the land of the living once more." Zantya said with a hint of amusement in her voice. " What's so funny? I'm lost." Reb wailed standing up. She heard laughter deep in her mind. " Dear child your not lost. I know exactly where we are. Your young and this trip may or may not break your spirit, but we are in the middle of the spine with no weapons and no horse. We are utterly alone. The old man dropped us here to make us work together." Zantya informed her. Reb gawked. " I'm in the spine? Why me? This is the cursed forrest! What was he thinking. I could verry well be killed in here!" Reb said loudly and birds launched themselves from the trees. A wolf howled. She shivered. " Do not be afraid. Your not helpless. Your Reb. Ever since you were born a daughter to a rider you were meant to control fire and ice. When you truly need your powers you they will come. And it looks like you need them." Zantya said and Reb heard a low growl. She spun around and stared into the eyes of a hungry Raz'ac. She screamed and began to back away from the goulish thing. She stumbled and fell on a log. Reb couldn't understand what she did to deserve this horrible fate. She didn't have a family, she only had an old shade and now he had cast her out as well. She felt utterly alone as the Raz'ac came at her. She covered her face with her hands. Zantya realized that Reb wasn't going to fight back. " Stupid girl." Zantya said and took control. Just as the beast was leaning down to wrap it's hand around Reb's throat, Zantya thrust her feet upwards and it flew away from her and hit a tree. It growled low in it's throat as Zantya stood and dusted herself off, or rather Reb off, and then began to walk towards it. It stood and then ran at her again. She stood her ground. And just when it was at her she pivoted on her heel and as it fell forwards she rammed her knee into it's stomach. It rolled away from her and hit the ground. She bent down and broke it's neck in one swift movement. Then Reb took control. Reb looked down at the dead body and trembled all over. Had she killed it? She didn't remember killing it, but then again she had watched her own hands kill it, but she hadn't killed it. Zantya had. " What happened?" Reb asked. " You no longer had control of your body. I did." Zantya answered. Reb heard another growl and took off trhough the trees. OOC: Continued in next post. Writers block.

She just kept going. Not caring that the muscles in her legs burned with the effort they were putting forth. All she cared about was to get away. She needed away from here. She didn't want to be a shade. She didn't know or understand why she was punished this way. But she was forced to come to a stop when what seemed like a black mountain to her, landed right in front of her and roared so loud it stunned her into falling backwards. She didn't dare look up, for fear of being killed. " Don't be afraid little one." Came a soothing voice, almost like a mother's voice. Reb opened her eyes and saw that it wasn't a mountain but a dragon. A beautiful dragon with sparkling eyes that shone with amusement. " Who are you?" Reb asked aloud. " My name is Star Gazer. I am your dragon. Don't be afraid. I will not harm you. If I did I would harm myself." Star Gazer said and Reb trusted her. So she got up and walked a little forwards. Star Gazer moved her neck forward and Reb squeaked and backed up. A deep rumbling sound came from the dragon's chest and Reb realized it was laughter. " I am only looking at you." Star Gazer said and Reb stood still as her head, extended towards her, examined her closely. " A fine young human." Star said aproovingly. " I'm half elf." Reb chimed in. " A fine young woman." Star said with humor and then lay down and extended her wings outwards to strech. Reb's eyes widened. " I thought all dragon's were dead." Reb thought aloud. " Then you thought wrong." Star admonished.

Reb asked incredulous. Star nodded. " Do you have family?" Reb asked . Star nodded again. " I control you? I own you?" Reb asked eagerly. Star snorted angrily. " No you don't own or control me. We are connected like family. Your a part of my mind and I'm a part of yours. Neighter of us controls the other, we work together." Star said and looked around. " Why are you here?" She asked. " I was dumped here by the old shade." Reb answered. Star laughed. " He always was a cunning person. I like him. And I'm glad he let you become Zantya's host. Or else I wouldn't have such an interesting Rider." Star said. " Rider? I have to ride you?" Reb asked looking up at Star's huge height. Star nodded. " How? I'm libal to kill myself just trying." Reb commented. Star stood abruptly and launched into the air, faster than Reb thought possible for something her size, and then grabbed Reb with her claws and threw her into the air. Star dove underneath her and Reb landed onher back with a thump.

She realized she had a tight grip on one of Star's spikes. She swayed a little when she saw how far up they were, but she kept her seat. She was flying! Star looked back at Reb and smiled. " Welcome to the sky." Star said then dove. Reb screamed and held on tight. Thankfully she didn't fall as Star did a backflip. " Good reflexes. Perfect for a rider." Star said and then did more air tricks. Reb took glory in the sky. She looked below her into the valley's. It was beautiful. Everything looked peaceful, and undisturbed. She could see for miles. And as they soared over the spine, she got a glimpse at the Hadarac Dessert. She smiled. She had never seen it before. Then she noticed a slight rise in the landscape. Star followed her direction. " Faenfir the Great's lair. One of the oldest and wisest dragons alive. He lived through the elf and dragon war. I don't know him that well, but he seems fine. And yes there are a whole lot more dragons than me left." Star said answering the unasked question Reb had forming on her lips. OOC: End of chapter one.

Her rider asleep on her back. Star was taking her home. To the shade. But Star wasn't going to leave her ever again. Not ever. She instantly loved Reb. And Reb felt the same way. Now she was going to stick with her forever. And now Star was landing and Reb was taked down by the shade and rushed into the cabin. Star smiled. Reb and Zantya had finally met. DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For now.

Wondering where her rider was.She looked all around her and sighed. Her parents were on both her sides. Standing there like the king and queen they were. She couldn't stand it. She wished her rider hadn't brought her back. Star's egg had been stolen, and then the thief had been murdered but had transported her egg to the spine. Then Zantya had found it and raised her from a hatchling. But then she had brought her back. Where star was made fun of as a little girl. Now four months old she was ugly. She was molted colored with different spotts of various colors. She hated it here. She was a prisoner in her own world. A sad prisoner at that. Her parents had her guarded every second of every day. She couldn't practice her flight skills, and she couldn't fight. She couldn't do anything. But what she could do was have an attitude. Her mother constantly said, " Here now, what is with that snippy little attitude. You should be grateful. You are being schooled by the finest elven teachers there are. Chin up, perfect posture. Good girl." And Star was sick of it. Her father wasn't much better. He was a very hard hearted creature. She felt as if her whole world was closing in around her. And if she didn't do something soon, she would roar! But she got her chance. She had a friend named Bright Star who was wonderful to Star. Of course Bright Star was at least a hundred a fifty years older than she, but it didn't matter. Bright Star would steal Star Gazer from her guards and teach her tricks. One trick in particular Star loved. It was a mid air tail spin. And in hidden dragon fights, Star always came out on top. But on one faitful night Star's whole world changed. Bright Star died in a battle with Galby's army and Star was devastaded. But what hurt worse was her parent's lack of remorse. They didn't even hold a proper burial for Bright Star. And that sent her over the edge. She decided instantly that her parents weren't to be trusted with her life. She sent her guards away, and moved out of her parent's cave. She flew around for days at a time and didn't tell anyone where she went. But she did practice her battle skills and by the time she was five, she was unstopable. OOC: It continues when she is five in the next post.

A group of the youngest dragons were gathered in a clearing at the base of the great mountain that holds the vacant cave of the Great Dragon. They were there to fight, without all the rules instilled in their brains by their mentors. The mightiest of them all was Grothar. A giant green dragon of twenty years old was standing in the middle of the clearing, snarling down at a broken, bleeding red dragoness. She was smaller than he and he had shown no compassion. He litterally tore her appart, and even if she was healed, she would have a pronounced bend in one wing. And as he was about to inflict more pain a black bullet shot out of the night sky and knocked him to the ground. Grothar's head hit with a thud and the red dragoness scrambled away from him. She was only two years old. Star snarled down at Grothar. " She couldn't fight back. You were going to kill her and she couldn't fight back." She hissed in his ear. " In a real battle, no compassion will be exersized." He said back and pushed her off of him. Thankfully in the night no one could see her color, only her outline. And that alone was very large. She was a very strong dragon for five years old, and that was her greatest quality besides her mind. She was in no means a beautiful dragon. But all the same, she was mighty and fierce. " This isn't a real battle. She will for ever be crippled somewhat because of you." Star said angrily. " That is her fault for not having better fighting skills. Plus males are the stronger of the two." He said. In that instant Star hated him. He was the only one who thought that a dragoness had no right to fight. Besides her parents that was. And she instantly wanted to take him down. " Is that so? Well let's just see who is right or wrong." She said angrily and rammed him. He let out a surprised cry before he wrapped his claws around her throat and pulled. She scratched his unprotected underbelly and he let go as blood spilled to the ground. She took to flight and he followed. She twisted in the air as he jaws snapped closed inches from her tail. She rammed it's spike into his nose and he roared in pain. She smirked and then turned and only saw black as she was drove into the ground. She clawed up at him, trying to get a hold on his neck. But she only got scales. So finaly she played like she gave in. He loosend his grip and she grabbed neck and bit down with her teeth. He roared and went limp. She had won that fight easily. She let him go. He scrambled away from her in awe. That was the day he set his sights on her. And that was the day she came to hate him.

She looked around her jewel filled cave. But what had woken her up was the glittering of gold in the corner of her eye. Now she stood and turned and looked. There, lying on the floor was a golden jewel. It was huge and beautiful. And right next to it was a black one, of smaller size. Then a little farther away was a green one. Star didn't understand why they were glittering, so she went out and shot into the sky. Basking in the warmth the sun filled her with. She looked down at the younger dragons. Since that night two hundred and ninety-five years ago, Grothar hadn't left her alone. She hated him with a passion, but her parents loved him and approved greatly. They said in their oppinion she should consider for him to become kind. " Opinion my tail spike. More like saying that then forcing me." Star mumbled as she landed on a peak that over looked the valley below. She could see other dragons flying about and having a fine time with their friends. She didn't have friends. She didn't get close to anyone. Every single dragon on the mountain was under her parents influence. She even had to quit going to fights because if she did, her parents would some how end up hearing about it and lectured her. Not that she couldn't hold her own against them, but rather that she hated to have to listen to their voices. And them telling her that the future queen of the dragon fortress shouldn't act like a child. So now, standing on the peak she glanced around her for her parents. They were talking to one of her teachers. As old as she was, she had out grown her teachers, or should have, but she was still submitted to their teachings, and as hard as they tried she wasn't that good at the ancient language. Star lept off the peak and drifted down to her parents, who didn's see her even when she was right in front of them. " Hello!" Star said after a few minutes of being ignored. Her parent's head flew towards her and their eyes widened. " Star Gazer! Is that you?" They asked mystafied. " Of course it's me. Do you know any other dragon this color?" She asked annoyed. " No. We have never seen another dragon that blackish purple color before." Her mother said. " Your beautiful." She exclaimed happily. Star looked at them confused. " What are you talking about? I'm the same." Star said looking down at herself. She gasped and almost fainted. The scales she was looking at weren't her own. She had ugly multi-colored scales. But the scales she was now looking at were the blackest color she had ever seen, with a hint of purple in them. She launched into the air and headed for the river. She landed beside it and looked down. Staring up at her was not the ugly dragon she had been for three hundred years. No, the dragon looking up at her was magnificent. A nicely shaped triangular head, tall sharp spikes going down her back. Her scales glinted in the sun. She swung her tail around and was pleased to see that she had a long spike that would kill anything in one swing. She had changed. What brought on this change, she didn't know, but what she did know was that she liked it. She launched back into the sky and went back to her cave. She dug around for the black stone and placed it under a scale over her heart. She then went back to her dumbfounded parents. They were speachless when they saw her but Grothar wasn't. " My dear! What has happened to you?" He asked happily. " I said to never call me that, and I have no idea. I just changed." Star said and then had an odd feeling. She slowly turned around, shutting out Grothar's talking. She found herself looking straight into the eyes of a golden dragon about twice her size. She mesmerized by the look he held. And then an image of the golden and black jewels right next to eachother. She looked away and back to Grothar. OOC: hope you don't mind I used him ILS.

Star had become quite a celebrity in the few short hours she had looked like she did, and frankly at that moment she wished she was still her old self. Just like humans, looks weren't bad to have. You were a great dragon if you had sharp claws, beautiful colors. Ancient dragons had also followed this tradition, no matter how juvinile it was. And so Star was not ignored any more because she didn't look like a dull rainbow anymore. She didn't trust anyone there, she didn't like anyone there. She had no one to like, and she had no desire to like any of them. No matter how nice they were being. But one good thing came with this new 'look' , as star called it. She finaly got the courage to tell her parents off. " I will not go to fancy lessons that no one will ever use in life. I will not!" Star roared angrily at her parents. They stood their stunned. " You have no say, as the next queen you owe an duty to your followers." Her father bellowed. Star gave a ruefull smile. " Sorry to disapoint you but I won't be queen. I quit this entire ordeal. I no longer want to be a queen. I'm a bounty hunter, and a dang good one." Star said in heavily accented perfect english. Her parents stared at her angrily. " You have no choice. You are a wild dragon, a riderless dragon." Her mother squeaked. " Oh I have a rider. A shade." She said and was rewarded with her parent's shocked gasps. " A shade?" Her father inquired. " Oh yes, a shade." Star said and then flew away from them. Only to be followed by Grothar. " Be reasonable Star Gazer. You can't quit." He protested. She stopped mid-flight and whirled on him. " I will not be reasonable. One, you only want to be king, two, I hate this place and will never, repeat never be queen, nor will I ever love you so quit acting like a groveling dog." Star said and sped away. Leaving Grothar staring at her. But she felt other eyes following her. She looked down right into the eyes of the golden dragon from the day before.

The young colt Cobalt standing near her. She had found him that year. A broken and sick thing. And yet, even as Star had wanted to end his suffering, Reb had wanted to save him. She had a soft spot, which star noticed, Zantya didn't have. Zantya was like the evil half that wasn't evil. And Reb was the pure side, although at age fifteen, Reb had seen more than most adults ever would. Reb watched a leaf float in the air and smiled when Cobalt lifted his tiny head and tried to catch it. She was sad about the death of her mentor, he had died of old age five days after her return from the forrest as if he had fortold his death. Star Gazer was great company, Zantya was like a pain in her butt, but she loved her, and Cobalt was a great person to talk to, someone to listen and not talk back. Zantya listened to Reb's thoughts as they filtered through her mind. She was sitting in the dark recesses of Reb's mind, even though many shade's would have minded, Zantya didn't. She could create anything she wanted just by thinking it, and Reb had no access to it. Unlike Reb, she liked solitude minus Reb. Star watched her rider. She wanted to speak to Reb, but she got the feeling Reb didn't want to be talked to. So she left it as was, but she could let go the thought of being watched which was what she felt. OOC: You can add something to this as if it was an Rp even though it is just history ILS. Since Faefnir is your chary.

Blood splattering his rider who cringed in pain. Shruikan and Galby were flying hight above the capital and were battling Reb and Star Gazer. Star Gazer latched onto Shruikan's neck and bit down hard, causing him to let go of her leg. She raked her claws down his sides, but he pushed her off and into the night air. Reb grabbed up her sword and parried a blow from Galby when her dragon got close enough. But Galby was using unfair magic and she her arm began to feel wieghted down by the sword. " Can you get down there with him?" Star asked through their minds. " Get me enough air to spin a cyclone and yes." Reb called back. She was now seventeen and very powerful. " Coming up." Star Gazer said and surprised Shruikan by angling away from him and beating her wings fast enough to create a wind disturbance that pushed him away from her. They were now over forrests and not at all vulnerable to ground attacks. The soldiers were still in the city, wondering where their leader was. " You can't win!" Galbortorix callled. " Oh yes we can." Star said and slashed at him with her tail spike but Shruikan blocked the blow. Reb shakily stood on her dragon's back and put her sword in her sheath. Star was now leveled out. Reb put her hands over her head. " If I die, I'll haunt you for the rest of your long life." Reb said to star and then dove from her dragon's back as if into water, but the only thing below her was one hundred feet of open air. She put her arms out to her sides and fire filled the cycloning air that Star's wing was creating. It began to spiral around Reb, and turned her right side up as she fell. She threw one arm up and fire slammed into Galby and pushed him from his dragon. Shruikan made a move to catch him but Star Gazer blocked him. Reb screamed as the wind grew to a deafening roar and fire flashed around her. From the city it looked like a flaming bird falling from the sky. To Galby it looked like death. To Star it looked like victory. To Shruikan it looked like defeat. Star slammed her full weight into Shruikan and made him reel back from the force of her blow. He growled and then slashed her legs with his claws. Star roared in pain and bit at him but he dodged her blows. Reb stared through the fire and saw Galby free falling and then looked below her where the ground was fast aproaching. She moved the cyclone around him also and they both came to a complete stop and then were dropped to the ground. Seconds later Shruikan was smashed into the ground by Star, not ten feet from where Reb and Galby were. But before she could react Galby drew his sword and impailed it in her abdomen. CONTINUED>

Reb asked through her mental connection with Star Gazer. " Quit jesting. Your dying!" Star said exasperated with her rider's ever occuring humor. " I'll try." Reb said as her knees buckled and she hit the ground. Galby withdrew his sword and kicked her backwards. Reb gasped as she fell onto her back, holding her gut and groaning in pain. He laughed and knelt beside her. " Hurts does it? Of course it does. I successfully used your sister's blade Zantya. Leth was all to happy to help me capture you and torture you. Now do be good and don't give me much trouble, or I will be forced to kill you." Galby said. Reb lifted her head as she remembered the fight on that day four weeks ago. She was limp with exsaustion. It was even a big feat to think. Blood was dried down her wrists that were around her wrists. She was hanging down the ceiling. Her sister's magic forcing her mind to be so groggy that she couldn't use magic or force to escape, but not strong enough to shut out the pain. The pain that never went away. The pain that was now slowly ebbing away. Then fresh pangs of pain shot through her as she felt Star's pain. Her dragon was in a place unknown to Reb. " Reb, would you like relief?" Zantya asked for the first time in the long weeks she had been there. The wound in her gut worsening. " That would be nice." Reb said angrily. " Your sister is the one who sold us out." Reb added. " I know." Was all that Zantya said. Then she took control and Reb was sucked into the deep recesses of her own mind. She was instantly thrown in to a medow. She pushed herself off her knees and got up and looked around. The pain was gone now. She was in her old village where she had grown up. Her memories made it seem real. And now she was walking down the path towards her cottage. Rebel as a young boy ran from the building and rolled in the grass. Reb stopped dead and watched. This memory was new. She usually went back to the times when she was with star. But now she was with her family. Rebel rolled in the grass and giggled as a big burly man picked him up and tossed him in the air, then caught him. Reb smiled. The man put his son down and watched with adoration as a young beautiful woman came out of the cottage, with a baby in her arms. This baby was a little girl with curly brown hair and was wearing a big smile. The man leaned down and kissed the woman on her head and then kissed his daughter. " Rebekah." She heard the man say and gasped. " Rebel and Rebekah. I love you." Margarita, Reb's mother said to her father. Her father leaned down and kissed Margarita. They broke apart when Rebekah giggled as did Rebel. That's when Reb heard the screaming. She heard the sounds of battle coming from the village. Then came the Ra'zac. They were riding black horses. Soldiers coming after them. Reb's father broke away from his family. He called his dragon and a great white dragon launched into the air from the forrest surounding the cottage. Reb's father launched onto his back and then they were off. Arrows flew at them and the great white dragon landed and roared at them. " Get them away!" She heard her father call and then saw Margarita grab up Rebekah and take Rebel's hand. She then ran to the barn and took her husband's grey dappled stallion and sat her son in front of her and then pulled herself up with her daughter in her hands. She kicked him in the ribs and he jumped out of the barn and took off down the rode at a hard gallop. Margarita wasn't going to stop. She didn't want her children to die that way. Reb took off after her mother and followed them, although not understanding how she could keep up with them. But soon the horse tired her mother let it go and continued on foot, but didn't get far before Reb heard the shrieks of a dying dragon and the sound of aproaching hooves. It all happened so fast. One moment her mother was running, the next she was pushing her children into the bushes and then was lying face down in the dirt as the Ra'zac attacked her. Reb couldn't stand it anymore. She covered her ears and fell to the dirt. " Stop! Make it stop!" She cried trying to shut out the crying of her mother, the sounds of her father and his dragon's last breaths and crys and the sound of her own crying when she was little, and the shhhhhhhhhhhhings of her brother as he held her and tried to calm her down. Reb rocked back and forth and waited for the images to go away, and slowly they faded and now she was sitting in a black void. Nothing before her but what her eyes were seeing. What Zantya was seeing as if a large scrying glass. Ooc: to be continued.

She heard someone aproaching and pulled harder. A soldier walked in and lay down a black tail tip of a dragon. Zantya recognized Star's tail spike. " You monster! That was her greatest weapon! You maimed her!" Zantya screamed, her arms heating and her chains becoming red hot. Leth walked in then and smirked at her sister. " I'm a monster, I'll give you that, but I didn't maim her. A simple spell will heal her, but of course it will have to be administered soon, or there is no hope. So what do you say? How about you kill your host and come to work for me? I'll be a good boss I promise you that." Leth said laughing. Zantya tried to kick out but the chains held her back. Leth laughed again. " Useless." She muttered. " I won't kill Reb. I won't work for you. I won't stay here. I won't give in!" Zantya chanted ignoring Leth all together. The more she said it, the more power she got. But it was sucked out of her as her sister nicked her with her sword. Creating a gash along her arm. Black blood began to spill to the floor. " Your a shade, your blood tells me that. As does your lineage. I know you Zantya. You will conquer what ever you have to, to be able to reach the top. If you work with me, you will be at the absolute top." Leth said and cut a gash along her sister's leg, more black blood falling to the ground. " Reb I'm sorry, but your going to have to take control. My sister speaks evil in my ears, and I'm afraid I'll secumb to it." Zantya said and Leth growled with anger as Reb came back and the blood coming out of the wounds turned red. " I used my sword, it will kill you, mere mortal." Leth said and pricked the skin at Reb's neck and blood began to run down her shirt. As much pain as Reb was in, she wouldn't give into Leth. She thrived on pain and the more Reb showed the stronger Leth would become. So she spat in Leth's face. " I won't die, not here at least. But you will before all this is settled. No matter what you do, I will not give in. No matter that you took my magic away with your foriegn spells. No matter you cut off my dragon's tail tip. Your going to be the one to die." Reb said and fire shot out from her hands(that is a natural ability not magic) and slammed into Leth, who dropped her sword, then scrambled out of the room, leaving her sword and a scared looked soldier. Reb smirked at them. OOC: To be continued.

She had her tail underneath her body, hiding it's misconformity from him. He smiled at her and kept circling. " You know, we could rule this world." He said after a long pause of silence. " We've been through this. I despise Grothar, I despise you. Never going to change. Get over it and leave me alone." Star said turning her head away from him. He pushed his face in through the bars. Star Gazer instictively brought her tail out, and he smirked down at the stub. " Of course I could heal your tail in exchange for your loyalty." He said. Star Gazer looked longingly at her tail but then turned a cold glare at Shruikan. " My tail will be fine, you on the other hand won't be when I get out of here." Star Gazer said and growled. " Empty threats." Shruikan said shaking his head. " They are only empty now because these chains and bars keep me from filling them." Star Gazer said and lashed her tail about. He smirked at it again. She hid it under herself again and sat there glaring at him, thinking of a way to escape him. " Your crazy. You once had a chance to have a normal rider, but then Galby forced you to be his dragon. How does that seem fair when you have to stay loyal to the man who robbed you of happiness with your true rider. Don't you want to know who your true rider would have been?" Star asked him. " You have no idea what your talking about." Shruikan said moving a little way away from her. Star's attention was drawn to the door. Her mouth almost opened and dropped to the ground as Reb slunk through the door holding her tail in hand. She whispered a few word in magic just as Shruikan stuck his head through the bars. Her tail spike renewed, Star Gazer slammed it into his face, rendering him unconcious.

Star Gazer threatened and then waited patiently as her rider let her out. She then noticed how dirty and covered in blood her rider was, and how close to passing out she was. " Reb! What did they do to you?" Star asked as she let out a wing quickly as Reb fell backwards into it. Star Gazer curled her wing around her rider and lifted her onto her back. She saw her tail and grimaced, not having time to heal it. " I will be healed at the mountain. She said grabbing it up and stuffing it into the saddle that was still on her back. Galby hadn't been able to get close enough to take it off. Her rider was slumped over the horn. Star shook her head and then barreled her way through the door, killing the guards. She hurried down the hall way that had been altered to allow Shruikan movement. She went up the stairs, not knowing that in her future she would again be escaping through this exact route. She dropped her sword and did a backflip, picking it up with her feet and when she landed far away from the axe, she crouched low and grabbed her sword from her feet and pointed it straight out in front of her, daring the outlaw and his band of thieves' leader to make a move towards her. He stood there looking into her eyes. " You are one lone fighter, a woman might I add, but still you are one against many. What chance might you have. I don't think you personally have the guts to slaughter us." He taunted as he cautiously moved towards her. She smirked as her plain brown tunic and leggings rippled, and then turned to dark purple, jewels linning her sleeves, and gloves apearing on her hands. One of her many battle outfits. The men looked startled as her blade gleamed with an menacing tint to it in the light. Geranamo suddenly didn't think this woman looked so fragil. The sword spoke of great things to him, and suddenly many images flashed through his head of all that had occured through this woman, no wait, more like mere girl's life. The images were so graphic and painful,he snorted and dropped his weapons and shook his head, putting his hands to his ears as all the things said to her ran through his mind. Driving him mad. Then his nostrils flared as he recognized the voice of a shade speaking into his mind. " Give us Elan. This can all stop if you give us this murderer." Zantya said in a very persuasive voice. But he wouldn't relenquish his best man to this, thing that scared him as the images stopped, and he looked at the girl with disbelief. Not only had he seen what had happened to her, but what had happened to her, a shade, a pair of wolves, a horse, but scarriest of all was the dragon. It held no compassion for thieves and murderers of the innocent and he could feel it close by. He backed up to his men and signalled for them to attack. Reb jumped back as they all ran at her at once. Fire shot out of her hands creating a wall around them. She didn't intend to kill any of them, only scare them as she dropped her weapons and her pack and slowly took in a deep breath and plunged into the ring of fire. She grabbed the man she was looking for and dragged him out. OOC: to be continued.

Not wanting to stick around. Her horse threw his mighty head and then thundered into the cover of the trees where no one could see them. Reb could hear the angry shouts of the man's comrads, trying to figure out where she went. Not being able to see her. Which was to her liking as she jumped down and tied the man's hands and arms, making sure he couldn't move. She shook her head in disgust at the elf she had been sent to catch, in order to free herself from the Queen's jail. Which Reb didn't want to go back to. Now that she had, him, she had no one stopping her from running as she made her way to the queen. When she made it to Ellesmera she dropped him in the middle of the street, elves stopping to stare at her as she kicked dirt at him. " Here is your escaped convict. I'm leaving." She called and turned from him and walked towards the tree that had been her imprisonment. When she got there, she glared at the guards and unlocked Shedo from her cage of bark, Shedo and her pup running with outside and away from the elves. Cobalt prancing in the street, elves marveling at how smart the normal horse was. She grabbed up her daggers and put them into her belt and boots, then grabbed up her saddle bag and stalked outside, only to be brought up short by Rebel. He was smiling at her, and before she could react she was wrapped in a hug. " I'm so glad your good at what you do." He said kissing her soundly on the cheek. She pushed her brother away. " I wouldn't have to keep doing this if your people didn't automatically think me evil everytime I set foot here. Brother." She said the last part without emotion and Rebel stepped away from his sister hurt, at the sound of hate in her voice, barely audible, but there all the same. " I can't help it that you chose to be a shade. I can only take you as you are." Rebel said, stepping back. Reb reacted as if she had been slapped. " Chose? Chose? You think I chose to be a shade. No. I was taken in by a shade when I was little. He was the only one that cared about me. You knew I exsisted. You knew I was taken by a shade. But no, you stayed in your cozy little home here with the elves. The shade gave the greatest gift he could. His protection even when he died. But you never once sought me out. I had to come to you, and when I did, you looked at me as if I was lowly, because I was a bounty hunter. I can still remember the horror on your face when you found out I was a shade." Reb said throwing her saddle bag onto Cobalt's back and then vaulting into the saddle. Whistling for her wolves. " Rebekah." Rebel said sadly. Reb turned and stared at him. " Don't ever call me that again. My name is Reb. I haven't been Rebekah since the day I was taken in by the old shade. Only my closest family and friends can call me that. Not you." Reb said turning her horse from her brother, trotting him away. " Aw, don't leave your brother when only horrible words have been said." Came a taunting voice that caused Reb to turn in her saddle with joy. Standing near her brother was the handsomest elf she had ever seen. " Niliki!!" Reb screeched as she threw herself at him. Almost knocking them both to the ground. The big elf wrapped Reb up in a hug and closed his eyes, savoring the sight of his long lost friend. Rememering their first meeting. Reb had been sitting by a fire, Star Gazer had been out hunting. Night sounds had rang out around her, making her very nervous. Niliki had been sitting there, staring at her, watching the flames leap at her every command, and watched as the rain that was falling, fell everywhere but on her, or her fire or camp. He knew her dragon was a great beast of great importance. He was 6 and half feet tall, with silver(not grey or white, but silver)hair and aqua eyes. When he met her, he was 27, relatively young for an elf. But he had great wisdom. And for some reason he had walked out of the night, and stood staring at her. She gasped when she saw him. " Can I sit?" He had asked, and from that moment on they had been friends, and now here she was holding him close after being separated. OOC: brain dead to be continued.

Reb said hugging Niliki tighter. Not wanting to let go of her friend, for fear it was all a dream. " That is neither here nor there." Niliki said pulling back to examine her. " You haven't changed a bit." He said happily, turning her around for his inspection. " That is one perk of being a shade. You don't age verry quickly. I get to look young." Reb said laughing as tears ran down her face, tears of joy. " I had been so worried. I had heard you were captured by Galbortorix and killed. I fretted and mourned for a verry long time." Reb said punching his shoulder playfully. He winced and grabbed up his shoulder, playing hurt. " How dare you hit me!" He said and smiled down at her. " Easily." Reb answered. They both turned as Rebel groaned. " Your so happy over him being back, yet you despise me. Why?" Rebel asked. " Because Nilki didn't have to accept me. Me being a shade never once bothered him, or worried him. Neither did me becoming a bounty hunter. You on the other hand scoffed and looked down at me, and couldn't get passed me being a shade. Now do you really have to ask why I'm more excited about seeing him than you?" Reb said putting her hands on her hips. " Not when you put it like that." Rebel grumbled. Crossing his arms over his chest he stared at his sister, trying to figure out what he could do to fix the rift that had come between them. " Don't be so hard on him. Sweet(his nickname for Reb), he probably feels bad about it as it is. Don't make it worse." Niliki advised. " Then he should apologize." Reb said. " Sorry." Rebel mumbled then walked off. " On to more topics, where is that lovely beast you call a dragon?" Niliki asked and Star Gazer dove out of the clouds and landed at her Rider's feet. " You always were a sweet talker Niliki." Star Gazer said, wrapping her wings about her and lying down. " She says you always were a sweet talker." Reb said, since he couldn't hear her dragon. " Thank you mighty Dragoness. Or should I say Mighty Queen Dragoness. Congratulations." Niliki said bowing. " Also well mannered." Star mused. Reb laughed and Niliki looked at her vexed. " Do I dare ask what she said?" He ventured. " She thinks you well manered." Reb answered. " Thank you my Queen." Niliki said then whistled. A majestic dapple grey mare trotted out of the forrest and stopped in front of him. She looked down at him with loving and trusting eyes. " Good afternoon Beauty." Niliki said patting her neck. Reb watched as Cobalt pranced over to the mare and whinnied. She smiled. " How's Graceful With Every Step?" She asked. " Why don't you see for yourself?" Niliki asked and whistled again. An huge colt trotted out of the forrest. One year old. He threw his dapple mane up. He was black and grey. The two colors of his sire and dam. Beauty and Cobalt. " He is beautiful. He got his strength and agility from his father, and his grace and beauty from his mother, as well as his speed. I'm glad he turned out so well. I was afraid he would be a trouble maker like Cobalt." Reb said smilling greatly as she walked up to the colt and examined him. He was flawless, and inteligent too. He reached out with his mind, trying to touch her's. " So he can use his mind like his father. Good." Reb said patting the horse's neck. " I love him, and since Beauty has hurt her foot, I often use him for riding, even though he is young. He holds well underneath a saddle." Niliki said, admiring his horses. Reb went back over and gave him another hug. " I'm glad your back. I missed you." " I know you have sweet. I'm sorry to have been gone so long. But you know me, I can't resist the call of that which I don't know." He said as he pushed her away from him and touched his hand to his mare's neck and connected minds with her's. He stared at Reb, taking in how much she had grown, but hadn't aged. She looked so young to him, barely and baby, despite his own age. " You still look young." Niliki observed. " That is because you are looking through the eyes of an ancient mare. Of course I would be young to her. Come with me." She said grabbing his hand and dragging him away from his horse, cutting off his sight. Niliki trusted her to lead him through the trees, making sure he didn't hit anything, and abrubtly she brought him to a stop, linked her fingers with her own and instantly his vision flared and he was looking down at her reflection through her own eyes. He was shocked. Her image of herself was not much better than the horse's. She looked the same, just in color since Beauty was color blind, but she didn't look young. At least that much had changed. Niliki pulled his hand from her own. " Okay, so your not sooooooooooooo young. But still....." He said shrugging. Reb laughed. " Oh well. You must tell me where you have been! I have travelled all across this land, and haven't come across you once. Not even when we travelled with Faefnir. He would love to have met you." Reb said. " Who is Faefnir?" Niliki asked. " A big golden dragon that has followed Star Gazer around for awhile." Reb answered and they both heard Star's warning growl. Reb laughed it off. " How old?" Niliki asked. " Old." Reb answered back. Niliki asked amazed. "Yeah, he is awsome, and really really good to Star Gazer. He knew her when she was just a hatchling." Reb replied. "Wow." Was all he could say. "You have a way with words." Reb joked, staring at her friend. She hadn't seen him in forever. She laughingly thought of how she used to crush on Niliki. They actually courted eachother for awhile, but they realized that they were too different and were never going to make it so they stopped. That had no affect on their friendship though. They still loved eachother as friends. " I know don't I?" Niliki asked with a laugh. "Your about as poetic as Star Gazer is smart." Reb said and laughed when a fire ball exploded at her feet and knocked her down. " My bad. Your about as poetic as Rebel is sweet."Reb said. Niliki nodded. "You do realize that you have to forgive me sometime." Rebel said from behind her. "Yes I do, but not quite yet." Reb said and smiled at her older brother. "Great, I at least got an admission of defeat from her." Rebel said and he and Niliki laughed. "Ha ha, you two ladies go discuss what ever Niliki came here for and I will be off." Reb said, feeling suddenly uncomfortable with Rebel around. "Why leaving so soon?" Rebel asked. "Ummmm, I left, ummm the fire going?" Reb asked and when her brother frowned she sighed. "No reason Rebel, I just need to go." Reb answered. "I'll escort you home." Niliki said and he frowned when he saw Reb wince. "I don't have a home Niliki. I wander." She replied.
