I had an idea that the empire could attack ellesmere while eragon is finshing his training and that could be when all hope is lost that eragon looks under the menoa tree and finds a wepon that push the empire back. That could be when Oromis and Aryas mum dies.

no i don't think the varden and the elves could lose with eragon also on their side. eragon would be challenging murtagh and the elves would be fighting galby. i mean it did say in the book that he wouldn't dare test is power against theirs. and plus glaby lost a lot of his army in the battle n the end of eldest. and i think we are forgetting some thing. the dwarves. i think they will be really mad and fight galby with all their strength because of hrothgars death. if everyone unites against galby they will surely win.

If you look at the map of Alagaësia you'll see that Du Weldenvarden is a HUGE expanse of forest. So it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Don't forget that Ellesméra is protected by magic.

No, I don't think so either. At the end of Eldest Islanzadi said she was sending the elves to the eastern side of DuWeldenvarden, so I think if Galbatorix is sending Urgals to that part, they'll be surprised to clash with the elves.

Like the most fantasy the "good" ones have to be really close to loose and then the hero is coming to rescue whole the world.. Anf ofcourse it will be just like that in this one aswell

So that bother about that, even threating Eragon alot personally, not personally but elves or varden close to loose or maybe even both ..

I think we will see elves in war and I think galby wanna try to attack them but I never think the Elves are gonna leave Ellesmera.,


Btw. the book says that when Galbys army run away it didn't lost many people.., The fight was too equal , and maybe i'm right but Galby didn't lost so many more thousands than Varden ...

there is no way the empire would attack ellesmera that get killed with all the magic the elfs could use and while eragon is training he'll be even stronger and could probably defeat half the empire

i agree but the empire has murtagh and lesser magacians and they could pose a threat since murtagh is stronger than eragon

i think the empire could try to invade Surda again because of its duel help in the Vardens campaign and because it is still a counrty apart from the Empire. Izlazadi has alreadi sent word that the elves are mobilizing for war, which also implies that the elves are readi to fight 4 the Varden and Eragon (obviously).
1. Eragon leaves and goes back to Ellesmere to finish his training
2. The Empire tries yet again to invade Surda
3. The battle goes badly and Surda is not readi for the war as Eragon is not present, the army forced of the Varden and Surda have been drastically depleted due to the first battle
4.The elves get the messege from the Varden that they are once again under attack and sends out armies of elves to fight, however do not inform Eragon as Oromis' time is fading and he must complete his training
5.Eragon finishes his training after learning the spell that can give him power over mundain energy sources (e.g. fire, wind etc)
6. He and Oromis fly in to battle and Eragon fights Murtagh and Oromis desides to gain time for Eragon and forfits his fading life so that Eragon can recover from his fight with Murtagh
7. Arya joins forces with Eragon and they defeat Galby in the last fight and set Shrukan (sp) free from his bond with Galby

it all depends on who the next dwarf king is on whether they continue to fight.

They don't have the power, the army would fall. It's kinda unknown land to the army whereas to the elfs it is more there homefield.

i don't think galby can defeat the elves even with other lesser magicians and murtagh the elves are still too powerfiul

Really, lesser magicians? HAH! The elves have magicians that could turn ALL those lesser magicians into toads before you can say "Ellesmera" And if Galby does that he will probably place himself in such a vulnerable state after defeating the elves that the Varden and Surda can overthrow him easily. Apparently everyone in here din even mention a thing about Roran and Eragon's plan to save Katharine from the Ra'zacs yet? That will probably the first adventure in Book 3, after that we can talk about the invasion of Ellesmera, Surda or wherever....

either way there is no chance Galby can beat the Elves in Ellesmere they would av to come out n fite but even thn Galby wouldnt b able 2 do much.... i mean the varden, dwarves n surda are their allies, the elves numbers are not known but the has to be alot of them surly, the varden, dwaves n surda made a pretty substantial army between them and defeated Galby before with the added effectivness of the elves Galby has no chance

i think it will be the other way around. because of the fact that the elves were planning on attacking the northern half of the empire, galby will be too caught up in that battle, than to attack ellesmeara. after all, what would be the point of attacking ellesmeara when the elves are already coming to attack him?

there is a small posibility he will but i dont think he will he will probebly be more focused on capturing Eragon so he can use Saphiera (cant spell) to make more dragon eggs
