Eris looked around trying to find Ravinia, but decided she would be able to her him even if she was under eater. "It feels odd, but satisfying. I have never felt so relieved. The scar on my chest feels much better." replied Eris. He had a large scar on his chest where Crimson stabbed him through the lung it was only thanks to Quasar and Galedrim he lived.
"Do the Ancients still live here?" asked Eris.

her voice echoed up from the water,"Yes, they do. But only in the inner chambers, where Adurna has gone. You are not magic touched by them. if you went near them without her they would kill you." She came up beside Eris, her hair flowing down her front and back, now a burnished silver blond in color. Around her chest was a wrapped cloth for coverage, but the dark concealed it all anyway. "You are so tired, all of you." There was sympathy in her voice. "Come, swim to the middle of the pool, and i will help you all."

They three of them exchanged looks and followed her. Throat Ripper who they had forgotten about followed them.
"I thought you went with Equinox?" asked Eris.
"Know I decided to stay in the pool." replied Throat Ripper. They saw Galedrim walk back with Equinox. Both seemed alarmed.
I'll tell you later I don't want anyone else to know. Galedrim told his brother. Then he and Equinox followed them to Ravinia at the middle.

"Close your eyes, and relax your muscles." She told them. They did as she directed and Ravinia passed in front of them all, one by one, touching their forhead. When she came to Eris, she paused. She touched the sides of his face and bent forward, pressing her lips against his. A gentle flow of positive energy flowed into him, when she drew back, he felt better than he had in years. "A special gift for you. I took your pain and exhastion into myself rather then reduce it." she said, and swam away into the dark, tredding water at the edge.
Gaeldrim, What was it you were talking about earlier? I could dig through your mind, but i'd prefer you to just tell me. Ravinia thought at him.

Its Quasar, I think that she is going to lay eggs. I didn't want anyone else to know about it. replied Galedrim.
Eris looked at Ravinia "Thank you, but why most you deal with the exxotion?" he said but he was thankful for what she did to him.
Equinox looked at Galedrim We should keep Frazer away from her for a few days. For his own benefit. Equinox said.
Yeah, I agree as you know by now she can be... ornery sometimes.

"Quasar? Eggs?" She stared at Frazer int he dark until he looked away nervously, her eyes glinted in the dark like a cats. "They are right, you should stay away from her for a while. I must go and talk with her." She left the pool and walked out of the room, her profile visible for a moment at the tunnel mouth.

Eris, Throat Ripper, Galedrim, Equinox, and Septaron looked at eachother. They decided to stay in for a little longer. Frazer tried to avoid eye contact with them. He knew none of them were angry with them, but he still couldn't bear to watch it.. He shook his head and dove into the water than came back out.
"Don't worry you will be OK." said Septaron.
I know. Its not me I'm worried about its Quasar. I didn't mean for this to happen. replied Frazer.
"We know Frazer. Its not your fault you were under control by the sprite." replied Galedrim.
"Galedrim should we go. After all she is our dragon.?" said Eris.
"Your right maybe we should go." he replied.

Quasar stay near the corner of the room. She laid curled up on the bed. She just looked at the wall then back at the ground. A plume of smoke came from her nostrils.

"quasar? Brave dragon, i found out about your eggs. sweet one, it will be all right." Ravinia came into the room, she dropped to her knees by Quasars head, putting her arms around her snout and holding it. Quasar didnt say anything. Finally Ravinia stood up. "shall i tell you a story, oh might dragon?" she asked, not realising Eris and the rest had come in. "Alright, here it is. I know what you are going through. When i was a captive of Crimson's, he treated me like a slave girl, bought for pleasuring him. And during that time, i became pregnant. Adurna didnt know, i hid it all from her. we were with Crimson for a year or so. Long enough for the baby to be born....And taken away from me. What Frazer did to you while possesed by the spirit was like what Crimson did to me. I still dont know where my son is. At least you will keep your children. So buck up and stop moaping or so help me i will have water pouring on you day and night and give something to REALLY complain about!"

Quasar laughed a little then looked back up Thank you, I'm sorry what happened to you. I didn't want anyone else to know about it for right now. Galedrim and Eris found out because of our mental link. I'm not sure when the eggs are hatched though. She then looked at Galedrim And thank you for telling them about this.
"I couldn't hide it from her. Like she said cheer up. Besides you don't want the hatch-lings to know that you were pouting. Come one Quasar its not that bad."
Thanks. she said to him.

Ravinia smiled at them. "There see? we will help you all you need. And no more hunting, now your meals will be brought to you. No arguments or i'll get nasty." She glared before flouncing out, thinking about her son, Dakken.

Quasar smiled glad that she didn't have to hunt. She enjoyed it, but was tired of Equinox just sitting on his butt the whole day. Then she thought of Kane and wondered when he would return from hunting. Quasar looked at Ravinia and knew something was wrong with her We will find your son and once I can I'll help look for him. I'm sure everyone else will also be willing to help you. said Quasar.

Ravinia paused at the doorway, her face momentarily pained."My son is probably dead by now. But thank you anyway." She said quietly and walked out.

The rest just stood there Eris was about to go after her when GAledrim stopped him "Don't let her be for now. We should stay with Quasar."
"But..." started Eris but he stopped.
Quasar was still lying against the wall but she was puffing little jets of fire. He copper scales were shimmering in the fire.
Where is Frazer. asked Equinox realizing he was the only one not in the room besides Kane who was hunting.
"Probably still in the pool." replied Eris.
They heard climbing and Kane came up in his dragon from carrying what looked like a large deer. The told him what happened.
"You can have the deer Quasar, I've already eaten." Kane said as Quasar ate the deer.

Ravinia ran down the passage ways, feeling again the ache in her heart, seeing her little boy being taken away from her. She fled to the pools, seeking their confort. she dived in, clothes and all, submerging herself. Tears streaked down her face as she sobbed into the water.
"Dear child, why are you so sad?" A soft voice came from all around her. It was cool and soothing, like the water. She looked up.
There, sitting on a rock and emiting a soft white glow, was Kalina. The ancient of the water spirits. Ravinia swam to her and clutched at her skirts as Kalina stroked her hair.
"There there, young one. What troubles you so?" Ravinia looked up, and Kalina read her story through her eyes.
"You have suffered so much little one. But all is not lost. Your son lives." Ravinia stopped crying, hope shining through her very skin.
"He lives, do not worry. He is in Galbatorix' court. that Dark Elf brought him there. He serves the King in the gardens as only a little child can. A woman there is looking after him. She has a good heart, she will let you come for him." Adurna appeared in the door.
"Kalina." She said, bowing her head respectfully.
"Adurna Orum." Said kalina.
"Ravinia, the Varden is arriving now. You must come and help me find them housing." Ravinia nodded and got up. She looked longingly at Kalina.
"Go with your sister little one. I will always be here." She vanished and Ravinia turned and left with her sister.

Quasar went to sleep while the others went back to the pool. Both Ravinia and Adurna were gone. They looked in alarm then stopped. Where ever they were it was probably privet so they didn't dare think about disturbing them. They headed back to the sleeping area. Frazaer, Kane, and Septaron all slept in the same room while Equinox, Eris, Throat Ripper, Galedrim, and Quasar shared the same.
"Just like old times. All of us in the same room. Quasar are you still up." asked Throat Ripper. His question was answered when she gave a little snort.
Where do you think they went? asked Equinox.
"I don't know. They may just be in here still but went into the center area." replied Eris.

Suddenly hundreds of people came filing through the cavern, led by Adurna and Ravinia, she guided them through and shouted orders above all the noise.
"Women and children down the right, men and young boys to the left. No arguments." When the corwds had passed, the others came over to her.
"The varden moved from the mountain to the desert. It's dafer here than where they were. At least on the edge of the Boer mountains, if this place is discovered, saftey in the mountains is possible." She turned away and began to start a line of supplies distribution.

They all got up to he;p carry the supplies. Quasar tried to get up but Eris and GAledrim mafe her stay down. The eggs can't be too old. she complained.
"We can't risk it." said Galedrim.
They went fown to help carry supplies.

Adurna made a shrieking noise and Shahin flew to her wrist. "Kahina carion mapeck tis." She said to him. He flew off in the direction of Quasar's cage.
"My Lord," She began, approaching the Varden's leader,"i need you to keep these people aaway from the inner caves. It's urgent that they stay as far away as possible if they wish to live. Make sure they know that." She walked off and approached Eris. "Find Ravinia, she ought not to be alone right now." He nodded and she moved off to the inner sanctuary. Curious, one of the other's followed her into the dark.

Eris nodded and left to find Ravinia. He grabbed his sword incase something bad were to happen.
Equinox watched Adurna walk into the inner coridor. Curious he followed her first making sure know one else saw him go. He followed herstaying far enough away so she couldn't see him.

Adurna walked slowly and quietly, her body was as tensed as a mouse beneath the eye of an eagle. Finally she came to a massive door. It was made of black obsidian and studded with dark emeralds. She cast aglance over her shoulder before she took out a small silver knife and pricked her palm, rubbing it across the wood in an arc. the door sucked the blood in like plants sucked in water. The door glowed and opened. She walked inside into the dark.

Equinox stared at the doorway as it opened and Adurna walked in. When she looked back he flew into the air and hid in the shadows. He followed her into the doorway and slipped by just before it closed.

Inside was a chamber bigger than all of the others combined. Adurna walked to the center where an alter stood. She started to chant in an ancient language older than even the elves tounge. A great light filled the chamber.
"Ancients whose magic runs in my veins, here me and come." The ground shook and cracked in front of her. Different colored orbs came out from the largest of the cracks.
Speak and you will be heard.
"Oh spirits, i thank you for your gift of magic. But i must ask you, what have you truely done to me? There was a time when my eyes glowed blue, and now i have talons, and my eyes burn like molten lava. Please, am i becoming Evil?" She stared out into the darkness beyond the swirling lights.
What has been done to you is cruel. We have decided that Evil shall indeed fight Evil. But you will have a choice. Each time you use your power, you will become more fierce and terrifying. You will use it for good, but it will overtake you. When the final battle comes against this spirit more vile and terrible than even Galbatorix, you may give up your powers and flee, or use your power once more, and keep only enough good in your sould to do one last deed. Kill yourself and spare your land the tragedy of your prescence. You alone can choose.... the lights faded and Adurna dropped to her knees, shoulders shaking in silent sobbs.

Equinox was startled at what he heard. He wasn't sure what to do. Surly Adurna couldn't be evil. He looked at his friends sobbing on the ground. He wanted to confort her, but was worried what would happen because shw told them they weren't allowed to go in his room. He wondered if he should get Septaron. Then he desided to go closer to her.
Adurna are you ok? he asked hoping she wouldn't be mad he came in when he knew he wasn't supposed t.

ADurna gasped and wheeled to her feet. She saw Equinox. Her eyes flashed red in annoyance, and then a spasm of fear crossed her face.
"You heard it all then." Her shoulders slumped in defeat. "Dont tell the others. They dont need to know." She turned andpicked up the alter that had fallen.
You can still give up your powers. She turned on him.
"And then what? Condemn my land to Shadows?" She shook her head. "No, i alone can stop this spirit. You heard what they said, Evil must fight evil."

Don't worry I won't tell anyone. said Equinox who sheilded what he heard in his mind incase any of their friends desided to entere his mind.
I don't think you are turly evil. Can't you fight it. Even if you are I and I'm sure veryone else will help you also. Equinox told her.

"I dont know." Adurna said sadly. "I just dont know." She sat for a long moment. "Equinox....have you ever heard of aplce called the dream waters?" He shook his head. "Well, in olden times, it was said that the dream waters was the place where katilan, the first ancient, wept hewrself to death over the Evil that lurked in the world. Through her tears, any illness could be healed. They formed a pool in the most deserted, uninhabitable place of the world that anyone could get too. Only the most determined could reach it. It's been said to cure even those tainted by Evil. I want you to promis me that, if things work out, you will take me there in the end. If not, promise me you will be the one to kill me. Kill me so i cant harm anyone else."

Equinox paused for a moment. Then in the ancient language he said Alright I promis I will do that. I will not fail you. he then resorted back to the regular language Do you know where this place is. He wasn't sure if he himself would live through it, but he promised her. He didn't want anything to happen to his friends.
It figures, evn with him dead Crimson is still trying to take away my friends. Equinox said to himself.

"yes, but its forbidden knowledge. i cant tell you until the last minuet." she got up and brushed off the dirt. "I can feel it, you know. The evil. I tried to ignor it before but i guess i always knew it was there." She moved away from him, towards the door. "We better get back to Quasar. We need to plan our next move."

Equinox followed to go back to the dragon hold. Where are you equinox? Eris asked in his head.

Quasar was eating an ox that Kane killed. By her self she ate almost the whole thing. Galedrim and Eris were both next to her watching their dragon.


OOC: Don't worry I was gone at camp for a week.

Adurna strolled out of the main chambers and went back to Quasar.
"Hungry are you?" She asked jokingly. Ravinia came into the room.
"Can i talk with you Adurna?"
"Sure." The linked arms and went to the bathing chambers.
"Are you well, sister?" ADurna looked away, out across the dark waters.
"As well as can be expected. Why?"
"Because your hiding something from me." She said.
"No im not." Ravinia smiled at her.
"I know you well enough to know when you are lieing. Tell me." Adurna blinked. Her sister said that like an order.
"You wont like what i have to say."
"When do i ever like what you have to say?"
"TRue. All right then." Adurna told her everything, all the while unaware that she was being listened to by someone else.

"Quasar, how many eggs do you think you will have?" asked Galedrim.
A few maybe four. Oh well it doesn't matter too much. Where's Frazer I'm not mad at him.
"Well he thinks you are so we told him to stay we can have him come back here though." said Galedrim.
"HAve you two seen Eris?" asked Throat Ripper.
He went somewhere with Kane. replied Equionx. They should be back soon.

Back in the caves, ADurna threw a stone into the dark water, her mood as black as the obsidian that made up the walls.
"So now you know." She said. Ravinia sat beside her, shocked.
"Why didnt you tell me sooner?"
"I only found out just now." ADurna stood in front of the water, her back to her sister.
"I wont ask you to not use your power to help us. But this other way. The waters of the first ancient."
"What about it?"
"The way it was described made it sound like something down here."
"It is down here. Miles and miles away from here, through the network of tunnels, there is a pool of water the color of molten silver. When the full moon appears in the sky, the waters turn magical, and can heal anything, even one consumed by Evil. IF i am taken by the dark, i have until the next full moon to get to the waters befor i lose touch with myself and am evil permanently. You and the others will have to get me there. I wont be able to help you. Any dangers you meet with you deal with."
"Why?"
"Because i will be aflame with fevor and sickness. I will be unconscioss(SP)" A sound made ADurna whirl around.
"Whos'e there?" SHe said.

Frazer new he had been spotted. He didn't hear much of the conversation he had almost fallen asleep when he was woken up. He wasn't sure if anyone else was around so he said Adurna its me Frazer. Don't worry I didn't hear much of your conversation I was almost asleep so I didn't hear a thing.
He wasn't sure what to do it probably wouldn't be a good idea to fly off right now.

ADurna sighed," It doesnt matter. The others will know soon enough." She moved over to Frazer and patted his snout. "I must leave now. There are some things i must come to term with." Ina n undertone she added, "Make sure soemone stays with Ravinia." She strolled out in silence.

Frazer shook his head he could understand why she didn't want anyone to know, but he still thought it was odd. After all they were he friends. He staryed there saoking up the water for awhile until he grew tired and went to the dragonhold. He desided that Eris would probably stay with Ravinia. Besides having the sprit out of him mind tired him greatly.

IC: Ravinia sat by the pool for a while, thinking. She realized that her road with her sister was about to diverge for a while. The water Ancient said her son was alive. But she couldnt go and find him while helping Adurna. She put her head into her hands and didnt hear Eris come in.
"What should i do?" She moaned in confusion. " If i leave to find my child, I cant help Adurna when she might need me. But if i saty and help her, i might lose the chance of saving my son!" Because she was alone, or thought she was, she let a few heartbroken tears leak from her eyes.

OOC: Lol sorry I haven't had much time to come here in the past few days.

IC: Eris went up to Ravinia he didn't know the whole reason why she was crying, but he heard what she just said. He sat next to her and put his around her. He startled her for a moment becasue she didn't know he was there.
"I don't understand fully what has happened, but we can help. Ravinia we can help you and Adruna. Though could you tell me what is going on. As for your son I'll help you find him I'm sure others will too."

Ravinia stared at him with gratitude in her eyes. "Thank you. Eris, i have to go for a while. Do you think throat ripper would mind coming with me?" He was hurt she hadnt asked him to go with her, and she placed her hand on his cheek. "Adurna will need your help more than I will. Protect her for me, please. I need to find my son on my own."

Eris regretfully called Throat Ripper with his mind, but knew what Ravinia said was true. Throat Ripper was on his way down. Before the urgal got there Eris said,
"I hope that everything goes well your you."

Ravinia got up and paced over to the pools, dipping her hands into it. "Water ancient, i beg you, show me where my son is." Im ages began to flash across the surface of the water and every second her face became harder and harder with anger. Finnally she shrieked and threw the water into the pools and stormed off into the dark.
"What is it?" Eris asked.
"YOU show him, i cant just now." A soft blue light filled the cavern
"As you wish." A woman appeared then, beautiful and tranquil as a waterfall. "This womans child was born into hate by your brother. He sold the boy at age three to a family of the royal house of Galbatorix. At age thirteen, he was accused of attempting to rape the daughter of the house and was arrested by the King's gurads. The boy was taken to a prison and kept there for several months. But another man, cruel and cold, bought him for use of amusement. He now makes the boy perofrm for him in ridiculous ways, and beats him when he fails. Ravinia, come here." She obayed, slowly dragging herself away from the wall to stand at the waters edge. "I will help you save this boy too. I will arrange the circumstances so that in one week, the boy will be sent out to accomplish something. That is when you must act to retrieve him. Do you understand?"
"I do."
"Good."

Eris stood speechless, "Crimson, I knew is was evil, but to do that. He deserves everything that happened to him."
Then Eris wondered if Crimson was truly dead. After all he had fooled them many times before, and the fact that the spirit wet out to reclaim his body was not any better.
"We should have retrieved his body. I think the spirit in Frazer was part of Crimson at one time." said Eris Hoping he was alive so he could kill that bastard himself.
"There are too many people who want him dead. I suppose Equinox wants him dead probably near the most." Eris said to himself laughing.

OOC: sorry, i meant SEPTARONS brother, not Eris. my mind blanked out a bit. Crimson was the one who did all that. my bad.

OOC: Ok, I'll edit it.

Ravinia sat down on the ground. "My poor baby...If Crimson's spirit is still alive, so much as a thread of it, i swear by all that i hold dear i will kill him! I will leave at first light. " Throat Ripper came in. "Throat Ripper, i have found out where my son is, and i need help to get him back. While Adurna and the others who are powerfully magical pursue the spirit, would you mind comeing with me?" Throat Ripper agreed and Ravinia turned to the Water ancient, "Where will I find my son in one week?"
"At the Dwarven Cities deep within the Boer Mountains. His owner will send him off to gather a special herb that the dwarves harvest there. He will be under guard of three strong men. They you will have to defeat on your own."

Throat ripper followed her. He new that a few of the others also know about what Ravinia was doing. "We will get him out. Don't worry." said Throat Ripper.

Eris, Galedrim, Frazer, Cane, Quasar, Equinox. and Septomus were all in the dragonhold. They were talking about what had happened in the past few weeks.
"What if... he is forming an army to attack us?" asked Cane.
"I doubt he is. Even if he did, there is know way for him to find us." replied Galedrim.
Galedrim walked over to the wall and stared at it. Eris looked at his brother.
"What is it?" asked Eris.
Galedrim closed his mind, he would not let anyone in. Everyone else stared at him. Then Galedrim faced them.
"I must go. Don't tell anyone I left." said Galedrim.
No, you can't go. said Quasar.
"Its important." said Galedrim then he left. Leaving the others all speechless.

OOC: wow, a twist, i wonder whats going on....

IC: Ravinia walked in on them all, pausing as Galedrim rushed past her. "Everyone, i have something to tell you. At first light i am heading out with Throat Ripper for the Dwarven cities. My son, who i thought lost from me forever, will be there in one week. you all will have to go on to find the spirit without me. If all goes well, in two weeks i will come back here to wait for you, or find out where you are. Nothing you can say will change my mind. I mean to get my son back. " She looked at them as if dareing them to tell her no. Adurna came into the room and stood by her."Do what it is you need to do quickly sister, i would have you by my side in the times to come." She turned and walked back to the others. "Now i was listening to you all for some time now, and i must say that if an army is in fact massing, we still need to be carefull. Remember that there are many ways in to the mazes. Most are well hidden but there is still that chance that a way in has decayed enough to be noticable. I would ask that one of us, perferably someone small and quick, go and scout the edges of the desert and mountains for any proof of an army. I'm leaning towards Shahin. One because he's a hawk and no one will pay much attention to him, and Two because we share a mental link so he can give me hourly reports. What do you all think?"

"That would work be careful though if Crimson really is still alive he and Galbatorix are know to be able to penetrate almost anything. Also Crimson will kill anyone or anything that gets in his way. Trus us we know from experience." said Eric.
Do you think he could be back? Eris asked Quasar.
There is a chance that devil is still alive. replied Quasar.
"I hope everything goes well for you and Throat Ripper and you fined your sun." Eris told Ravina.
"If we need to take watches around the entrances, Cane and I will be on guard." said Frazer.

"No, there's too many to post a watch. Shahin!" The falcon flew to her shoulder. "I need you to scout out the terrain from one end of the desert to the other, report to me any oddities you see at once and as you see them, after you make two passes, come back. Understand?" He shrieked and flew off. Adurna turned to the rest. " Crimson is back. I know he is. His thoughts brushed mine briefly while i was slepping earlier." Ravinia cleared her throat. "Are you sure you wnat to tell them the rest sister?" Adurna shrugged. "They need to know." She told them everything she had told Fazzer. About how the power was slowly corrupting her soul, and that soon she would be evil. She also told them about the magic waters that could heal her if she converted, and how they only had a certain amount of time to get her there. "But enough of this talk for now. We must wait for Shahin's return before we act at all, but until then we make plans."

IC: /Equinox was shocked to here this, but didn't react at first. Do not let Crimson find out about that. If he does he will use it against you and try to recruit you into his army. If you are turning evil it may be easier for him to invaid your mind.
"We have to try and get her there though. I'll relay this to Galedrim if you don't mind Adruna." said Eris.
Quasar lifted up her head and looked at Eris Eris, try contacting your brother I can not. she said.
That's odd because I still can. It could have to do with something that you are about to have eggs. Eris replied.
Quasar growled lowly.

Galedrim left the caves careful that none were following him. He could fell something in his mind that had laid dormant for over one hundred years. Still he knew where he was going. He walked away toward where he was being called. "I hope everything goes well for them." he muttered to himself.

ADurna looked around the room. "Kyragai." She called, her snake slid from a corner and she bent to hiss in his ear. "I want you to try to follow Galedrim. He's up to something and i want to know what. do you know which way he went?" Kyragai's toung flickered out. "Yessssss...The other ssssnakesssss in the cavernsss were watching him." "Good. I'll leave you to it. If he spots you, pursuade him to let you go with him. I dont want anyone on their own right now." "Yesssss Adurna." the snake turned the color of sand and slid from the room in a flash. She stood up and ignored the stares of the others. "Eris, talk to galedrim, find out why he left if you can. I've sent Kyragai to follow him. Quasar, stop moving around. Those eggs mean everything just now. They're our upper hand." She passed away. Shahin, anything yet? she asked him silently. No. not yet. but i think i might be seeing smoke on the horizon. Smoke... Which direction? she asked him. North and to the east.

Quasar laid back on the floor. She laid her head on the ground I hope they come out before anyfight starts. she said.
I hope we don't have to fight. Equinox replied.
Eris tried to contact GAledrim, it waqs difficult to get into his mind, but he did. Galedrim what are you doing!" Eris demanded.
Eris! Why did you enter my mind, don't worry it doesn't metter I'll be safe. Tell me am I being followed I don't want them to waist anything on me. Galedrim replied.
Eris hesitated than said No, but we are all worried for you. What are you doing come back here.
Do you trust me? Galedrim asked.
Yes. Eris could have sworn he heard his brother laugh.
Then you have nothing to fear Eris. replied Galedrim severing the contact.

Galedrim walked in the direction. He gripped the fragment of Quasar's shell that he had. It was old, but he polished it so it still shimmered like a new peice of copper. He turned around he thought he heard slithering in the san.
"Is that you Kyragai?" Galedrim asked, but continued to walk on. He saw smoke in the distance and followed it.
"Quasar, you have warned me against this, but it is our only hope if I fail please protect Eris and Equinox." he muttered to himself.

Kyragai watched from the shadows, unmoving, his toung flickering in and out. Adurna had told him to remain hidden but he sensed magic and it made him nervous. He quietly uncoiled himself and moved towards Geladrim, shrinking in size until he was no bigger than a garden snake.

Adurna watched Eris. "He wont tell you anything." It wasnt a question. "Fine then. It doesnt matter. Kyragai will tell me soon enough. Then we all shall know. In the meantime, im going to talk with Ravinia. eris, when im done you may see her."

Galedrim looked at the camp. He knew that hundreds of thousands of anytroops were there. He could even make out the figures of a few lethabaka. He looked behid him, but saw nothing. He continued fowardas a man on horse back approached him.
"Halt speak your name and what you are doing here."
Galedrim bowed down than said in the ancient language "I am a rider and a friend. I wish to speak with King Galbatorix or Geneeral Crimson."
"I see this way. Tell me when are the eggs of your dragon due." asked the man.
"Soon, although she does not know it was my idea. I must hurry the chances are I am being followed."
The man lead Galedrim to a tent where two men were talking. A large black dragon was sitting behind the tent.
One man walked out and said "I hope you do well Crimso for your sake." then the man mounted the dragon and flew off.
Crimson walked out of the tent and and Galedrim bowed down.
"Good you arrived rise Galedrim. It was wise to betray your companions and wiht limited mind control very amusing. Now where are the entrances to this maze."
Galedrim told him everything and about Quasar and how Frazer was free. Then a man shouted from behind.
"My lord, a snake! Its smaller but it looks like the one that girl owned."
"Kill or capture it!" demanded Crimson.

"Ok" Eris replied trying to figure out why Galedrim wouldn''t let him or Quasar into his mind.

Kyragai hissed loudly. D'arvit! TRAITOR!!! Kryagai grew so big he could swallow three men whole. HIs fangs dripped with crimson venom which he shot at the men. SHAHIN! NOW!!! A gray-brown blur shot down from the sky, it clutched a now small Kyragai in its claws and shot back into the sky. Shahin prayed the Ancients would give him great speed, and in a moment he felt his wings grow. His wingbeats grew so heavy it spiked the pressure around them with each pump. The camp began to fall out of sight and soon they reached the entrance to the mazes. Adurna was already there, having felt the rage of her animal companions. "What is it? Whats wrong?" Kyragai was lashing around on the ground, and Shahin coninued to shriek. "I said, WHATS WRONG?!?!?!" That quieted them.
Adurna. Galedrim turned traitor! He went to Crimson, he's going to lead them to the mazes. The Varden and everyone here are all in great danger. We have to do something NOW! She was silent for a moment. Emotions so black and ugly raced through her and threatened to break her control. "Tell only the important ones. Dont let Ravinia know, she has to leave right now before daylight comes. Quickly, spread the word to the others!" She picked up Kyragai and raced into the darkness. "Eris, Frazer, Cane, Quasar, Equinox, Septomus! Meet me in the bath caverns, NOW!"

Eris, Frazer, Cane, Quasar, Equinox, and Septomus wondered what was wrong, but rushed down to the bathing chambers. They could sence the urgentness in Adurna's voice. They all arrived their waiting to be told what had happened.
"Whats wrong." asked Septomus.

"Good, Galedrim lead some troops down this path I will lead more down these two." said Crimson as they were looking at the map. Galedrimp had mapped out a diagram of the mazes perimeter.
"Galedrim your goal is to capture Quasar I don't give a damn what you do with the other capture, kill, do what ever you wish." said Crimson.
"Yes my lord." replied Galedrim. He bowed down and Crimson got up.
"Oh I forgot leave Equinox for me." said Crimson.
Galedrim bowed again and gathered his troops. They would atttack soon. Crimson even had an army of urgals coming from the west.
"Quasar, Eris if only you two knew why I did this." Galedrim said.
Galedrim then desided to use his tracking powers he got from the ancients. He didn't tell Crimson about it, but could still use it to their advantage. He desided to track Ravina first.

Adurna was waiting for them when they rushed in. she was stripped to the waist and standing int he water, muttering something under her breath. Slowly, her words gew more and more audible. "....Shasta casssstas, meckias aratsta hasssssiah cossss, shekith rassspedas contsarah mekosss!" Her voice was the low rasping his of snkaes, and the words slithered around them all, laced with powerfull magic. Her arms slowly were raised above her head, palms facing outward. The water around her turned a bloody red and boiled, black steam rising in gushes from the surface. Silver light filled the cavern and streamed out through the mazes corridors and the walls trembled, the ground shook. Screams filled the air. "Bedowin camstraska meshicka laksyym!" The shaking stopped, dust drifted down from the cealing and she turned to them. Her eyes were huge and ruby red. "Gaeldrim has betrayed us to Crimson and is leading him here. He has provided them with a map of the caverns, so i have changed the layout. The exits and entrances are no longger there. Now there is only one. A new one. I will lead the Varden to it. Ravinia has already left with Throat Ripper. I have cast a protective spell on them. No one can see them now except for the ancients. I need you all to help me now. I set up the new entrance far enough away so that we wil be in the mountains when we surface. Once we get through the gates i set up to cover our retreat, this place will turn into Hell on Earth for anyone who follows us. It will no longer be a sanctuary for those who find it. That is the price i paid to keep everyone alive. Now hurry, round everyone up." She sent a ghost image of the layout of the place to everyone but Eris. "I am sorry, but because you are linked to Galedrim, i cant tell you anything now. You are permanently in the dark. So to speak." He nodded. They all left, spreading the message to everyone they passed. Soon all of the Varden were following behind Adurna as she led them through A massive Black gate, twisted and cruel looking. Shahin pearched on her shoulder and Kyragai twisted about her waist. Kitiara padded along silently at her heels. When the doors closed behind them, darkness enveloped them all, and her magic combined with that of all the ancients sealed their path with a quiet hiss.

Eris couldn't believe it. Whll has the power the anciy would Galedrim believe them he has always hated Crimson. It made know sence still he didn't doubt what he was told. This could explain why he was acting weird lately.
"Adura.. I think Ravinia and Throat Ripper will still be able to be watched by him. Won't Galedrim be able to track them with the powers the ancients granted him."
Quasar growled Traitor, but why would he. I will kill him. she said with great venom in her voice.
"Not right now Quasar. Don't worry you may have your chance. The problem is if he dies what affect will it have on you and Eris." said Cane.
That I don''t know.

Galedrim and the forces went towards the entrance, but they could find none. Soon they met up with Crimson and the urgal army.
"So that wench must have changed the layout. Don't worry about it. Galedrim try to followe her sister somehow I have an idea what she may be doing. Also call your dragon we need her eggs.
Galedrim saluted first he cantacted Quasar.
Quasar how are you? he asked.
Galedrim!? Why would you betray us! We thought you hated Crimson.
Ahh Quasar I did, but now I fight for the stronger side. Quasar I know that you want to kill me so come out and find me. Or hide away in that new area llike a coward.
I'm not that stupid Galedrim! I know you plan on going after Throat Ripper and Ravinia with the magic the ancients granted you.
Very wise Quasar you are smart for a dragon that resebles a large chunck or rusting metal. What, did I upset you if I did come out and fight me you great coward.

Quasar growled low in her throat. Adurna laid a hand on her shoulder. "Peace." Adurnas red eyes began to glow softly in the dark. "Galedrim..." He was suprised by how easily her mind slipped into his. "If you touch my sister galedrim, i'll tear you apart. do you hear me? I asked the ancients to give you power. If you abuse it, they will take it away. Stay away from Ravinia. Besides, do you think your weak gift could compete with mine added to the ancients power? Quasar and the others will stay with me. with my new power, i can tunnel anywhere in the lands that i want. we could stay down here for years if need be. Let Crimson try to find us. I'd like to see him again. Actually...." A little voice was whispering in her mind. "I do want to see Crimson." She chuckled." I think i will turn back. Stay where you are, and i will come for you my friend..." Her mind slithered from his, and he was suprised to feel weakness. She had taken power from him. He felt it. What he didnt know was that as she drew out of his mind, she took the gift the ancients had given him with her. A small glimmer of good pulsed at its heart. Adurna motioned for the other's to hault. "Im going back." They all gasped. "Im going back so you all can gain time to move on. No one is to come with me. No, not even you Kitiara, Shahin, Kyragai. I need you to help guid them. Take them to the Dwarven cities, where they will be safe. Find Ravinia. Tell her I love her. I wont be comeing back after this."

"Are you sure? We know your strong, but know one could handle all of them on there own." said Septomus.
"Septomus, she probably knows what she is doing... I just wonder why Galedrim betrayed us." said Cane.
"Well his chance to invade here has failed its not like they could attack us. We I suppose they could, but it would take a while for them to find us."
Let that traitor come, I will make him burn. said Equinox.
Wait, Equinox you remember what you told, Galedrim, Eris, Throat Ripper, and I when we first met you? That you said Crimson would want us dead just becasue we befiended you. That would be why Galedrim betrayed us he know longer wants to be endangered becasue of you. said Quasar.
Its not fault he betrayed us!
That's not what I'm trying to say. He betrayed us because he knows Crimson will target him. And him joining Crimson means that he won't have to wory about getting killed and he could kill us at his plesure. He is strong more powerful than, me, you, Eris, or Throat Ripper. Just having him with Crimson could mean not only us, but our other friends could get ravaged by his tretury.
Adurna, please be careful." said Septomus.

Galedrim sat in the stratigy room with Crimson and other high ranking people. They were planning their next course of action.
"We can either attack the dwarves or the elves. Personaly I would say the elves first. Then we could get a hit at the elf queen herself." said Galedrim.
"Know, we should continue the search for them. I will have Equinox and all of them dead." retorted Crimson.
A roar was hears outside as three lethabaka landed next to the tent. Galedrim left to great their new guests.
"You may have escaped now, but soon very soon you will all be dead. Adurns if you are still in my mind fear for you life and the lives of your friends for soon you will all hand ead and rot like your worthless parents."

A quiet hiss sounded from the dark behind Galedrim. "Now now mishtaka, lets not startle our old friend." The hissing quieted, and a shadow detached itself from the rest and moved into the light. "Hello Galedrim." Adurna smiled at him sweetly, her fingers stroking the head of a writhing black snake. He didnt respond. "What? no responce? Aren't you glad to see me?" She frowned, and a trickle of flames shot from her fingers, causing the snake to hiss as it danced along his skin. "That's bad manners you know. After all, i came all this way to see you and you have nothing to say to me. You better learn some manners before i get offended." She lifted the snake from her shoulders and set him on the ground. "Mishtaka, since Galedrim seems to be robbed of words, go and announce my presence for me, please." She watched the nsake slither away. "Isn't he a marvel of his species? I had to spend a little time making him, but it was worth it. " She moved towards Galedrim and lifted a hand to touch his face, long silver nails sharp as daggers dragged lightly along his cheek. "Still no words for me my pet? Can traitors no longer speak once they switch sides?"

Galedrim laughed "Adurna you will never learn... it is not you or anyone else I need. I'll give you a deal Give me Quasar and your sister's son will walk away free and if you don't believe me," he repeated the same thing in the ancient language.
He grabbed his sword, "I have know whish to harm you or any of you. I just fight for the stronger side."
He muttered a few words in the ancient language and vanished then reapperared behind her, "You will all die... now tell me why would you fight for them. You do not know what Equinox has done he has killed countless innocent people and so has my brother and Quasar. Throat Ripper plans on killing your sister as soon as he can." muttered Galedrim.

Adurna chuckled and turned, face to face with galedrim. "Oh, youre cute when you try to intimidate." She laughed again, then walked right through him. "I'm not human Galedrim. Not even Crimson could beat me NOW. But i have no wish to kill him, or you. Though at first i was tempted....But, as fate would have it, the Evil in my soul has started its contamination. I've come to join you. However, i cannot give you the dragons or the others. My maze was set into motion by the very magic that tipped me over the edge. It has a mind of its own now. Too bad. Oh and by the way..." She leaned in very close to him, her eyes inches from his own. "I took your god gift back. Now you are a normal Elf." She smiled and backed away. "Your master....is calling you. Go and run to him, like a little boy runs to hide behind his mother's skirts."

Galedrim laughed, "I know you are strong, I am not as arrogant as lord Crimson. If you really do mean to join us come you would make a great part to my master's army. Once we coqure this land the rest of this world and beyond will be Crimson's. I see you have taken away my powers, but why and also if its your magic you could call Quasar. She doesn't know you may join us she still trusts you. Call her my master needs more dragons." Like you said though I must go Crimson... soon to be the ruler over this land has called."
Galedrim left he then tried to enter Quasar's mind to see if she still had it opened. It wasn't but it didn't suprise him.
"My lord, what do you wish for." asked Galedrim.
"Galedrim, good you are here. As the spirit has regererated my body, I can now call upon it again. I need you to cast the spell which will make Frazer open. Not now though we need to wait until the perfect time." said Crimson.

ADurna walked in on them. "Crimson." She nodded her head in his direction. "You need to improve your guards. They are incredibly weak." She sat down in a chair across from them. "Oh, and as for that spell to open Frazzer, it wont work." She conjured a glass of wine and sipped it slowly. "This is a good year. Anyway, it wont work because while i was still good, i called upon the ancients' combined power to block Frazzer's soul from any and all attacks. Good luck breaking through magic older than you and Galedrim combined." She looked around. "Mishtaka, come!" The snake slithered out from a shadowy corner. Adurna held out her wrist before him and the snak bit in. His scales slowly turned from black to blood red. Adurnas face grew paler and paler, but she didnt move unitil the snake let go. "He feeds off of my blood and in return he stores my magic for future need. Mishtaka means "crused blood" in the ancients language.

"Adurna... so what Galedrim told me is know lie. Well then we will just have to make sure all of your good blood drains away. As for my guards they shall be punished I will train thoose fools more. As for the maze is there any way to get into it without triggering the magic you placed." said Crimson.
Galedrim looked at his sword and pulled of the peice of copper he had gotten from Quasar as a birthday present years ago.
"This, may not be of much use, but it can hold large quantities of magic. As for your snake does anyone else know of it."

ADurna glanced around the room. "Hmm...A way into the maze. Let me think...I was pretty through knowing that my evil half would take over afterwards. There is no way to get in there without coming out dead or worse. As for Mishtaka, no one but us three know what he really is. He is Kyragai's counter part. I made him while i was in the desert. Speaking of the desert, i wonder what Ravinia is up to right now...." She turned away a raised a hand in the air. "SKystaran nomarin dealderian." a patch of air shimmered and went black for a moment. "show me." Adurna said to it. It turned silver and she watched it intently for a few minutes. "datka." It vanished. Adurna stood up and paced to the room entrance.

"Any magic can be breached. And if we can't come in we could force them out. Now what are you doing did you see her?" asked Galedrim. He grabbed the copper and absoved the magic that he and Quasar placed in it. His eyes flashed red to black to back to normal.
"Quasar you fool, you did not think I would use this against you did you."

ADurna watched him cooly for a second, debating. Then quick as a flash she leapt to Galedrims side and snatched the scale away. Energy shot into her hands and tossed it to Mishtaka. The snake opened his mouth and swallowed it whole. Light flashed through his body and a moment later the scale reapeared by his head. She bent to pick it up and handed it back to Galedrim. " I dont like underhanded tricks. Blame the good left in me if you will but that will never change. As for driving them out, that might work. They dont know ive turned. The poor fools still want to help me. They think ive come here to stall you so they can get away. The light showed me where Ravinia is." She storde to the door and out into the night, Mishtaka following on her heels.

"Good for we will need to get them out. They shouldn't be too hard to kill. You are with us and your sister is off with the dwarves. Like Galedrim said all we need are Quasar's egs and Frazer back on our side." said Crimson.
Galedrim shook his head and picked up the shell. He placed it back on and waited.
"About your sister what are we going to do about her, should we followe her or have someone do it?" Galedrim asked.

ADurna poked her head back inside the tent. "I may be good no longer, but i wont let you kill them. I still love Septaron and Cane is still my brother or my sister. If it comes down to it, i will find my sister and nephew and lead them to the others, then i will bring the others back here to a pot we decided on ahead of time. capture and do with what you will to anyone not directly involved with me, meaning my siblings and lover. We can possibly convert them to darker ways."

"That would be good do with them as you wish. Personally I would want you to try and convert them. After all I told Equinox I would kill his friends or even better get them to betray him." said Crimson.
"Then you or someone should leave to get them. The sooner the better." said Galedrim.

ADurna nodded. "I will go as soon as it become light again. I expended a pretty amount of energy making Mishtaka. I need to rest." She turned and left the tent, walking out into the desert to find a place to sleep. Once she deemed herself far enough away, she sat down and looked up at the stars, blocking her mind from entrance with layers upon layer of magic, iron, and steele concentration. "Quasar. It's me Adurna. Quasar, i need you to know that no matter what happens, no matter what things look like, i am always on your side and doing whats best for us all. Trust me or we all will die. Give the others my love and dont tell any of them what i just told you. Not even Equinox or Frazzer. By the way, keep an especially sharp eye on Frazzer. Crimson mean to turn him back." SHe withdrew from Quasars mind and laid down on her back, Mishtaka curling up a few feet away.

Quasar was shoocked at what Adurna told her. She told the others Asurna was ok they pressed her with questions, but she didn't tell them. She started to growl. The eggs were close, probably only a few days away from coming out. They all looked at her worried, but only Eris feeled how sad she was. Eris went next to his dragon and put his hand on her snout.
"Don't worry, everything will be ok." he said she snorted in reply.

IC: Quasar woke up to a jolt. She looked down and saw four eggs. A red, a white, a silver, and a teal egg. She heard movent in the distance too. She flew out off the way as a large rock went flying toward her.
"Damn Quasar, you were always good at dodging." she heard Galedrim say. Using magic he made her hover in the air. He ran and grabbed her eggs.
Galedrim, why did you betray us!"
:Because my dragon, I fight for the stronger side. Galedrim replied in her head than left.
"By the way you may be surrprised to find out, that another one of your comrads has betrayed you." said Galedrim. He stabbed Quasar in the chest then left taking her eggs.

IC: Adurna crept up from the shadows. "Quasar. Remeber what i told you." Adurna turned and at the same time, healed Quasar and pointed her finger at the wall. a stream of white light flew from her finger tips, weaving into letters and words on the wall. "I Adurn Orum, now and forever am your friend. What i do i do to help you and Alagaesia. I will never harm you of my own free will, or hurt you because Im being forced to do so. You and the other's close to my heart will always be safe from me." The words glowed bright in the Ancient language for a moment, then slowly faded away. Satisfied that she had bound herself, she turned away from them, and into her newly thought of plans.
