 Strangely SickVladimir lay on the sand of the Hadarac Desert. He was feeling horrible. Not horrible emotionally, but horrible physically. His entire body felt as if there was a giant battle raging inside of it! He let out one loud and long groan of pain, not knowing what else he could possibly do. More of them followed, showing the world just how miserable the elf was.
The only thing that came to mind when Vlad asked himself why he was feeling like that was his cravings. He didn't understand why, though. Sure, he was drinking blood a lot more than he usually did, but what did that have to do with his sickness? Probably more than he thought. He almost never blamed illnesses on blood consumption. "Maybe it's because I'm not a real blood drinker of the night, but just an elf," He mumbled to himself. He knew he wasn't a vampire, and he accepted it, though he thought it would make him very happy if he was. He couldn't help but come to the conclusion that too much blood ingestion was not so healthy for non-vampires. Why would it be healthy for any other creature anyway? Vampires to Vlad were like the superior to all of the two-legged races. They stalked the night, when the prey were most weak. They sometimes had super speed and strength. AND they could (in theory) change into a bat to get around more easily. Vladimir groaned very loudly, trying to attract the attention of someone that could possibly help him find a cure to his illness... _________________ The sacrifice is never knowing Why I never walked away, Why I played myself this way, Now I see your testing me pushes me away. The sand was starting to annoy him as it blew in front of his face. He didn't need to breath, so he wasn't worried about the sand getting in his lungs. And his vision was near perfect, so he could still see perfectly fine. No, it was just getting annoying. The only time Alucard had encountered sand was on the beach. He had flown over the desert once or twice, but he was going to fast to even notice it. But tonight was a special night, especially to him. It was a night of no moon; back in his homeland they thought of the night of no moon was the night vampires and other demons came out. They always stayed in their houses with garlic over the doors and windows. But now that he was one of the demos, he felt better than ever. There was nothing to really drink out here, except some lizards and birds. But he wasn't out here to feast off another creature. No, he was here to just enjoy the perfect night, and be alone. His secluded silence was ruined when Alucard heard a loud moaning. Then it hit him, the scent of an elf coated in blood. "Someone severely wounded?" Alucard said to himself, wondering what it was. "Well, maybe I should put them out of their misery." Alucard headed towards the moaning elf, the closer he got the stronger the scent got. A human would have probably found it disgusting. As he approached the elf, Alucard was surprised to find out he wasn't wounded at all. And that the scent of blood, was coming from his breath. ooc: Yes, I made it night time! >;P _________________  "Listen to them.  IC:Vlad continued groaning in pain for several minutes, not entirely realizing he was doing it. He began darting his eyes around frantically, wondering if he would just rot there for the rest of his life. The thought scared him, but he couldn't manage to chase it away. It's frightfulness haunted him, and he kept getting chills from it. Vlad's head turned as he heard footsteps approaching him. "Help me... Please..." He said, extending a hand out. Agonizing pain seared up his arm, causing him to scream. He pulled his arm back, close to his chest. After a few moments, Vladimir calmed himself down. "Could you please help me? I'm not entirely sure I'm healthy... I mean, uh... Re: Strangely Sick How queer. An elf, that drinks blood like a vampire. It's odd and revolting at the same time, Alucard thought as he stared down the man. He knelled down next to the man a smiled. "You'd be surprised at what I can understand. Best get you out of the desert first. Maybe I can find you a doctor or something," Alucard said. He took a handkerchief out of his pocket and wrapped it around the man's mouth, "Here, the winds have been blowing a lot recently and we don't want to get sand in your lungs do we?" He picked up the man very carefully and started to piggy-back him.
"So stranger, whats your name? I'm Alucard. You must be really lucky, who knows how long you would've been out there if I hadn't come along!" Alucard said, putting up the act usually did when he was with humans/elves. Though it was probably pointless since the man must've guess something was wrong with him by his cold skin. They finally made it out of the desert once the sun started to slowly rise. He turned around to see the sun already creeping above the horizon. "Just in time," Alucard smiled. He started to run towards the forest that lay just in front of him. There was a large lake nearby, as well as a couple towns so it would be a good place for them to stop. He laid the elf down near some running water, "I'll be right back," Alucard told him. The man's breath had made him thirsty. ooc: Okay, for some reason when I add Italics to the first sentence the coloring doesn't work! ='{ _________________ "Listen to them. Re: Strangely Sick "Vladimir. I met a man named Vladimir once, good guy. Strong and dignified. And he just so happened to be a vampire," Alucard said glancing back at Vlad to see his reaction. Vladimir was a leader of one of the many vampire covens. He didn't have any special abilities like Alucard's pain illusion, but his strength was unmatched. He could wrestle a dragon and win.
In the forest there were many creatures, but none seemed to peek Alucard's interest. Most scurried away from his presence, obviously sensing the danger he posed. Fortunately for him a lone wolf trotted past. Alucard dashed after it, the wolf broke into sprint at the sight of the vampire chasing him. But he was no match. Alucard grabbed the creature and quickly broke it's neck. He stated to drink the wolf's blood, taking his time as the warm liquid slid down his throat. Once the creature was dry, Alucard started to head back. Not one drop of blood got on him. And unlike his little elf friend, his breath remained sweet. It was natural for vampires. Re: Strangely Sick A small spark of recollection was in Vlad's eye at the mention of another person with his name being a vampire. He didn't say anything, though.
"Strangely, I'm feeling exactly the same as I was before. But what's even more strange is that I've never felt like this before. It's not like I've been doing anything differently from what I normally do... It just kind of hit me out of nowhere. Do you have any idea what could possibly do this? It's really bothering me," Vladimir said. Truly, it was bothering him, but he secretly didn't want to get to a doctor, unless they were someone that could be eliminated directly after he was healed. Re: Strangely Sick "I'm no doctor. So I wouldn't really know what caused this, but I'll give you two of my opinions. One, your under a great deal of stress. Or two, you ate some bad food, and now your body is trying to get rid of the poison," Alucard told Vladimir. He placed his hand on Vladimir's forehead, checking his temperature. He was running a bit of a fever, but nothing to bad. "Your a little hot, but nothing fatal. I suggest, you drink some water from the lake. I'll go get you something to eat, and since your an elf I'm guessing you don't like meat. If your not feeling better soon, then I'll take you to a doctor," Alucard told Vladimir. He walked back into the forest in search for something to give to the elf.
While searching Alucard stumbled across what seemed to be an abandoned house. Around it there were apple, pear, orange, and plum trees! Alucard entered the house, to see if anything of use was in there. a bowl, and cup were the only real useful things in it. Everything was covered in cobwebs and broken. He left the house and picked a couple of fruit for the sick elf and started to walk back. When he returned, Alucard washed everything he gathered in the water, and placed it near Vladimir. Re: Strangely Sick Vladimir cupped his hands and placed them into the water. It was cold, just how Vladimir like it. He drank a lot of it, not realizing how long he had been without water. When Alucard brought him fruit, the elf sat up, graciously taking a plum in his hand. He took a large bit our of it, acting more hungry than he really was. What his stomach craved was blood, but he knew he couldn't have it because it was what got him into so much trouble in the first place!
"So... if you don't mind, could you tell me more about this Vlad guy? What was he like? What did he look like? Re: Strangely Sick Alucard sat down in the shade of a tree, which cause his two colored eyes to glow. He thought for a moment, if he went into detail about Vladimir it would become obvious that Alucard himself was a vampire. While other were much more secretive about their species, Alucard was a bit more open than others. But this strange elf seemed to have an affliction for vampires, while others either feared or hated vampires. "Vladimir was, a very strong man. Both physically and mentally. You didn't want to get on his bad side, other wise you'd be beaten to a pulp. But he was a real good guy. He was very tall as well. Preferably over six and a half tall. He had black, hair and mustache to go along with it. His eyes definitely stood out, though not as much as mine, they were bright red," Alucard said to Vlad. "Everyone already knew. He was a leader of coven of vampires, he didn't go around humans unless he got thirsty. But I guess the things that made it obvious to humans that he wasn't one of them was cold and pale skin, glowing eyes, sweet scent, and perfect teeth."

Re: Strangely Sick Vladimir nodded as Alucard spoke. It was all very interesting to him. He was always alert and listening when it came to stories about vampires. He had eaten through a few apples by the time Alucard had finished speaking, even though it wasn't even that long. A smile etched itself on his face. It was the first time in a long time he had ever smiled. That was what a vampire story always did to him, because it made him dream about what it would be like to be a vampire.
That was when Vlad noticed Alucard's colored eyes. He began to grow suspicious of Alucard's nature. He did have pale skin, and he also had colored eyes. It began to bother him, and in his mind, he was screaming out of awe. He never thought he would live to see a vampire, then again, maybe the person he was looking at wasn't a vampire, and Vlad was just being paranoid, as usual. Re: Strangely Sick "Yes, my meeting with him was rather extravagant. He called for help to fight against a large pack of werewolves. My coven responded immediately. His fighting skills were amazing. But one of them caught him off guard, but luckily for him I happened to be near. He found my skills amazing, and to pay me back he had his best blacksmith make me this sword I have here. Made from brightsteel," Alucard told Vladimir as he showed him his weapon. Alucard smiled as Vlad started to shift. "Something wrong?"

Re: Strangely Sick Vlad admired the sword for a moment. It was marvelous, crafted to perfection. The elf imagined it was very useful in killing enemies, as well as hunting down a snack. It seemed very reliable for a number of things, as opposed to Vlad's own beaten up sword that was strapped to his side.
Vladimir shifted again, still not entirely comfortable. Then, when Alucard noticed his shifting, Vlad considered telling him why. Instead, he managed to say, "I... er.... think that you- er... I mean I think I'm sitting on something." And though the 'wana-be' vampire was trying to keep a straight face as much as possible, he couldn't help but crack a grin. It had seemed as if Alucard had all but told him he was a vampire. He even mentioned a 'coven'. OOC: Just to let you know, you can add some stuff to the story to make it interesting too  . Alucard stood up and walked over to Vladimir, he looked down at him and smiled. "Don't stutter, it makes you look unintelligent," he said, patting him on the back. He sat back down in the shadows of the trees. It seemed Vladimir was getting a little better by the looks of it, maybe all he really needed was normal food for an elf. "Now it's time for me to ask you questions, if you don't mind," Alucard said. "What exactly were you doing out in the desert? It's not exactly a good spot of a sick person, unless they wish to die. As for the sick part, it didn't happen over time, it just seemed to happen in the blink of an eye," Vladimir said, being careful not to stutter. The second question hit him hard. At first, Vlad took it as a hint that Alucard knew that he drank blood like a vampire. After a minute or so of mulling it over, Vlad figured that it was just because of his questioning. "I think vampires are the most powerful creatures of the night. They are very much more evolved than the other races. If I were to meet a vampire, I think I would be very excited," Vlad said, playing around with a rock in his hand the entire time. He was feeling nervous. Re: Strangely Sick "Really now? I can't imagine living in the desert. All alone, barely any living creatures. And the sun, much to bright for my liking," Alucard replied, snickering. When Vladimir answered his next question, Alucard looked at him more seriously. "Your the first person I've ever heard say that. Most people would say either, 'they're blood drinking demons, that deserve to die!' or 'They're damned souls, cursed for eternity. Forced to go against nature,'" Alucard muttered quietly. With amazing speed Alucard right over Vladimir, his cold eyes staring into his. "Would you still be excited even though one was about to kill you?" Alucard said menacingly.
An arrow shot through the air, cutting Alucard through his left shoulder. He grabbed his shoulder in pain, as the cut started to sting. He turned around to see what shot him. A man, in a trench coat, holding a crossbow. The arrows that loaded the weapon didn't look normal. Silver arrows! Alucard cursed. This guy was a vampire hunter. Alucard hissed and jumped off Vladimir into a tree. The man ran after Alucard with a evil smile etched across his face. _________________ "Listen to them. Re: Strangely Sick Vladimir's shot a glare into Alucard's eyes. "You wouldn't dare," He said, thinking he knew entirely what was going on. The guy had all but told Vlad he was a vampire. He was pale, had glowing eyes, said something about a 'coven', and even demonstrated his super speed. Vlad lifted his rock, preparing to launch it at Alucard if needed.
But Vlad was too late. An arrow had already struck Alucard in the shoulder, and he had ran off into a tree. Vladimir was left there alone. All he could possibly do was throw his rock, witch he did. Re: Strangely Sick "No, I wouldn't. If I wanted to, it would have already been done. You really are a lucky guy," Alucard told Vladimir. "If your such an admirer of vampires, you would know a rock wouldn't do much harm to us. This makes me wonder who much you really do know about our kind."
As he leapt through the trees, Alucard looked back at the man, he was fast, to fast to be human. Why can't I sense his body heat? Alucard thought angrily. He used his ability to sense a person's body heat to determine their species, even if they were in some sort of magical disguise, he would know what they really were. Alucard tried his pain illusion to stop the slayer, but his chase perused. His eyes widened in shock as his illusion didn't work. It had never failed him before, so why now? What the hell is this guy?! When something hit the slayer, he turned around and looked at the elf that the other vampire was with. He knelled down next to him and started blankly at him with his cold ice blue eyes. "Your not a vampire, just an impostor. No point in killing you, it'd just be a waste of one of my arrows," he said indifferently. He stood back up and resumed chasing his target. _________________ "Listen to them. It wasn't very fun when people found out your inner-most secrets. Vlad's gaze burned into slayer's eyes. "You are a coward. Killing vampires. What kind of person are you?!" Vlad yelled after him. "You can't judge an entire species by one of them. You have to live amongst them to find out how they truly are. And sure, I'm an impostor, but I don't kill people without a good reason. All he could do was run. His illusion wasn't working, and he couldn't just attack him head on, the slayer had silver arrows, true Alucard had is sword, but the slayers arrows were faster, deadlier, and it was long range. Then one of his arrows struck him in the side. Alucard fell to ground mid jump, and rolled a couple feet. He pulled the arrow out of his body and snapped it in half. Now at least the slayer couldn't use it again. The pain from the silver was horrid. It was actually kinda ironic. The stinging/burning feeling Alucard was feeling right now, was what his ability put people through. Now it was his turn to know what it felt like. The slayer appeared out of no where, standing over him. His speed was not human or elf. He had his loaded crossbow pointed at his heart. One shot and Alucard would die. "If your going to kill me, at least let me know your name!" Alucard said fiercely to the slayer. His eyes widened when he heard the name. The slayer burst out laughing at the elf for calling him a coward. "I've been called many things. But never, ever a coward. Thats probably the last thing people see me as," He told him coldly. It was like he teleported in front of the elf, after he said he would kill him. IC:Vladimir's face contorted into a mixture of awe and fear. This vampire could end his life any time, if he really wanted to. The elf was useless, he couldn't do anything. All he could do was sit there and watch one of his only friends get beaten to a pulp, then most likely watch himself die. Why did it always end like that for Vlad? Why didn't it happen to Paconio? Paconio was always the lucky one. He could always do something to save the day. Rage naturally rose up in Vlad's system as he thought of Paconio. He was going to show that elf someday. He was going to show that elf one day, even if it cost him his life! Then, Vlad saw the slayer shoot another arrow into Alucard. Slowly, he struggled to his legs. "I... told you... to leave him... alone..." He managed to slowly say. Pain seared up the elf's leg, but he was too determined to stop now. He began to walk over toward the slayer. Finally, he was directly in front of him. Re: Strangely Sick "Saul. The infamous vampire slayer. I can't say I'm honored," Alucard said coldly. Saul was a dignified vampire slayer to the humans, doing what no one else would. If they knew he too was a vampire, they probably wouldn't see him as the chaste man they consider him to be. The worst part about him was that his vampiric ability was to cease other vampire's abilities from affecting him. That was why his illusion didn't work. Alucard was surprised when Vladimir stared to defend him. "What the hell are you doing Vladimir?! You wouldn't stand a chance against him! Just get away!" Alucard yelled at the elf.
"I never really expected you to be. But I'm going to thank for that fun little chase," Saul said smirking. He was about to shot when the elf showed up. "Oh how cute, he's like a little doggy, trying to protect his master against a big bear. Oh, and your name is Vladimir too! Re: Strangely Sick The rage in Vlad's eyes grew more and more, until it seemed as if the elf were just a giant ball of it. His breathing increased heavily, and his entire body seemed to be much larger than it was before. Vlad's hand flew out to back-hand the slayer, but was expertly caught by the vampire. Neither one of them let their eyes leave the other's.
Vlad used his other hand to try to punch the slayer in the face, but it was too late. The slayer had his hand around the elf's neck, and he appeared to have a huge grin on his face. A hint of a fang showed through his skin. Vlad tried to yell, but to no effect.  IC: Elcyon was flying over the Hadarac Desert once again, for some odd reason it seemed to draw her towards its presence, even though she was never particularly found of it. There were many mysteries that lie hidden beneath its sands as though it were giving her a taunting call to try and dig up the source of the answers. For now, she would have to deal with scanning the desert for a chance to refresh her throat, for it had become parched from lacking water. El used her eyesight to scan the area for anything that may have a sign of life. For when something was green out in the desert, it generally meant that water was the one replenishing the trees and leafy-greens. However, as she made her way over the barren wasteland, some commotion from below caught her eye. El was glad she had stashed her journal far into the recesses of her cave so that it wouldn’t have been damaged, for it appeared that there was some kind of fight going on far below. El didn’t know what was going on, but it seemed like someone was getting killed. Thinking fast, El swooped down, as silent as an owl (and at that moment she was thankful it was night and that no one could see her due to her black scales), and dove just above the head of the strangler. Re: Strangely Sick Idiot! I told him to get away! Alucard cursed as Saul grabbed Vladimir by the throat. He started to reach for his sword, but Saul noticed him, and kicked it away. Now there was really nothing Alucard could do. If he tried to punch or kick Saul he would simply pull the trigger and end his "life." Vlad dropped to the ground. Saul had dropped him after being attacked by something, a bird? Alucard looked up to see black dragon through the darkness.
Something flew above his head. He dropped the elf and checked to see if any damage had been done, not that it would matter since it probably heal. He looked over to see the same black dragon Alucard was seeing. Saul hissed showing his fangs. These arrows were made for vampires, not for dragons. So I'm not going to waste them, but I doubt they could penetrate it's scales anyway. So now I have two options. Either fight in my other form, or run away.... _________________ "Listen to them. Re: Strangely Sick Vlad fell to the ground in a heap, unconscious. He awoke a few seconds later, finding himself looking up at the slayer, and a black dragon. For some reason, Vlad wasn't feeling exactly glad the dragon was there either. He shivered, wondering if the dragon would assist them, or if it would kill them as well. The thought of fighting another person racked his nerves a bit, as he had almost died in the fight he just had.
He glanced over at Alucard, a glance of awe and of friendliness. He had a friend. And that friend was a vampire. "Are you okay?" Re: Strangely Sick Elcyon could tell from a distance that the other figure behind them was not attacking, rather he was attempting to assist the elf lying on the ground. The other man, however, was not their friend. In fact, there was something inhuman about him once El got a closer look. The arrows he possessed would do little against her scales, so El felt she had a good chance at helping these two against their foe.
With a quick loop, El retracted her talons and positioned them above the attacker, her eyes fixed angrily on him so that she wouldn’t lose him in the darkness. Out of the corner of her eye, El noticed that the elf was injured. Re: Strangely Sick "Don't worry about me. I've felt much worse," Alucard responded to Vladimir. He started to slowly get up, holding his shoulder where the first arrow hit him. He removed his hand to see the wound, which was already starting to slowly heal. He looked back to where the other arrow hit him, to see it was worse then the first one, so it would take longer to heal. "You should be more concerned about yourself," he said, not even looking at the elf. His eyes were fixed on Saul and the dragon.
Ahh, what the hell!! Saul thought smiling widely as the dragon headed for him. He jumped towards the dragon changing into his other demonic form that all vampires could change into. Re: Strangely Sick Vlad slowly crawled away from Saul. The farther away from him, he figured, the better. Who ever wanted to be next to a psychotic vampire slayer that was about to kill you for trying to defend a friend? After he was about 20 feet away from Saul, Vlad struggled to his feet once more, this time pulling his sword out as quietly as he possibly could. His eyes went from the dragon, to Saul, to Alucard, and back. He didn't know what to do, and was extremely confused.
He walked as quickly as he could (Though it was still very slow) over to Alucard, a concerned look on his face. "Are you... sure you don't need... help?" He asked breathlessly. Re: Strangely Sick Elcyon let out a roar, but she wasn't surprised that he would attempt an attack on her. What startled her the most was his changing shape. She used her jaws to lock her teeth against the creature's shoulder and threw him off of her, but she couldn't shake the pain nor the blood that was pouring from her wounds inflicted upon her. El crashed to the ground, but was able to stand up and faced her opponent with venom.

He placed Vlad's arm around his neck, and he glanced back at the dragon. Don't let him bite you, I'm sure you don't want to become a vampire, He told the dragoness. He ran off, almost invisible with his speed. As he got farther away from Saul, his abilities returned to him. He looked over at Vladimir; his temperature was rising. Saul dug is claws into the ground to slow himself from being pushed back by the dragon. He smile grew wider as she started to bleed. As the scent of the dragon's blood reached his nostrils, Saul realized how thirsty he was. "And I suggest you stop attacking me while your still filled with blood," Saul said wickedly. He launched himself at the dragon, and crashed into her. But instead of attacking her, Saul put his mouth to her wounds and started to suck the blood. Vlad had a hard time trying to keep his feet on the ground as Alucard took off. He'd never saw a person run so fast before. It was amazing! His temperature was beginning to rise as they ran, and he couldn't help but breathe heavily and sweat like crazy. His legs began to ache, but he didn't bother complaining, such wasn't his nature. Vlad looked back at the fight. The demon-thing was drinking the dragons blood! She wriggled and squirmed under his grip, but he kept a firm lock as he drained her of blood. The loss of blood was beginning to make El feel woozy but she wasn't about to give up. With an ounce of strength, El let out a jet of black-orange fire against the vampire, hoping this would make him back off. He let go of Vladimir, his temperature was still going up little by little. Whatever he was sick with, it was getting worse. He glanced back at the two beasts. A gasp escaped him as he saw the vampire holding down the dragon. He was to far away to tell if Saul was biting her. He put his hand out towards Vladimir, motioning for him to stay put. He started to run towards the two, he reached for his sword. That was when he remembered, Saul kicked it away! But to where? Alucard stopped in his tracks, eyes widened and teeth gritted. He swung his head back and forth, scanning the ground for his weapon. When he spotted it, Alucard slid towards it. He second he grabbed it, Saul was next to him. As the dragon wiggled,trying to get free, Saul only tightened his grip on her. As the warm, crimson, liquid, trickled down his throat he felt himself get stronger. Every single drop that touched his lips was exhilarating. It wasn't everyday you got to drink dragon blood. A sharp screech emitted from Saul when the powerful flame started to burn him. He flew back, trying to escape the blaze. He hissed at the dragon angrily, and when he looked down, he roared at Alucard. As he reached down for the vampire, a sharp pain flared through his arm. He used what little strength he had to curl up in a ball on the ground. He had never felt this way before. What ever sickness he had, he could tell it was getting worse by the minute. All he could do was sit there and watch. There was absolutely nothing he could possibly do to help anyone with anything. His vision began to fade and fade until it was finally black and he was passed out...

Re: Strangely Sick Elcyon hurried to get up from the ground as the other man stabbed the vampire. She knew that somehow this vampire had grown stronger, and it wouldn’t be safe to stick around. Thinking quickly, El flew up from the ground, ignoring the flashing pain in her chest, and found the elf passed out, most likely from his injury or…whatever seemed to ail him. She scooped him up and placed him on her back, and as she did so, called out to the man that seemed to be on the side of the elf’s.

Re: Strangely Sick Alucard's eyes were widened in shock, fear, and surprise. His sword had impaled Saul from his left palm and it went up through his arm. He slashed through the vampire's flesh to remove his blade. Alucard scrabbled to his feet, and ran back towards Vladimir and the dragon. He sheathed his sword as he ran, he glanced back at Saul who was still roaring in pain from his massive wound. When the dragon called to him, Alucard clenched his teeth. Vladimir was getting even worse than before! Whats wrong with him? He couldn't be this sick, just from drinking blood,can he? Alucard thought in an angry and concerned tone. Alucard followed the dragon as she flew, keeping up with her thanks to his amazing speed. He glanced back a couple to make sure Saul wasn't following them, which, for some reason,he wasn't. Once they were miles away, Alucard removed Vladimir from the dragon's back once she landed. His temperature was even higher then before and now he was sweeting. But despite his high fever, he was shivering.
Saul's left fore arm now had a deep gash, along it. Thanks to Alucard. He roared in pain as his wound started to sting. He looked over at Alucard and the dragon who were running away. Saul changed back to his normal humanoid form and held his wounded arm. His gritted his teeth, knowing he shouldn't fight the two, now with only one arm. It would take awhile, but it would eventually heal, and that would be when he will get his revenge. He took in one big whiff of the air. Re: Strangely Sick During Vlad's unconscious time, he felt as if he was being frozen. He slowly awoke, finding himself with Alucard and the mysterious dragon that had helped fight off Saul earlier. Vlad then noticed that he was still cold. Shivering, in fact. "Wh- Why am I so c-c-c-cold?" He asked, his teeth clattering, "Just awhile ago, I felt as if I was sleeping in lava, and now I feel like I've been buried alive in s-s-s-s-SNOW! Looks like I might as well just die now. There's no point in going on like this if there's probably no possible c-c-cure"
Vlad sighed. He hoped one of his two new friends would figure out something for him. There had to be something that would cure him. He didn't care what it was, or what the costs were. Re: Strangely Sick Fever, chills, aches, weakness, they all seemed so familiar to him. "Your not going to die Vladimir," Alucard told him calmly. His calm appearance hid the truth, he was distraught and concerned. He didn't want Vladimir to die, not like this. He tried to think of something, anything they could do to help him. Dark, fuzzy images of himself coughing, sweating, shivering, and being in pain blocked his thoughts. Alucard grabbed his forehead, trying to get the images out, but they wouldn't go away. They flashed through his mind, like a movie on fast-forward. They kept flashing faster and faster, until they abruptly stopped. Realization hit him like a ton of bricks. Vladimir was suffering from the same sickness he did. His fingers dug into the dirt, he balled his hand angrily into a fist against the soil. There was no cure, even after all these years there still wasn't a cure. Vladimir would die. He down at Vlad, a strange sensation came upon him. He felt like he was looking at his human self, right before he was turned. It was obvious to him what was going to happen, and it seemed like the way for him to live. Alucard let out a distraught sigh. He leaned in closer to Vladimir, and whispered in his ear, "Vladimir, are you will to endure a pain ten thousand times worse then what you are feeling right now, and never have to suffer through pains like this again? Or do you want to wait for death?"

When Vlad finally realized what he meant, the elf's eyes widened to the fullest extent. His hand would've flown to his mouth if he had enough strength. Instead, his dark eyes stared out into the sky. His face was struck with awe, but he still needed a minute to think it over.
"It'd be an honor..." said Vlad in a frail voice. It surprised him how slow it took him to come to a decision. Maybe it was the clouds in his mind that were blocking his decis- Oooh, was that a squirrel? He could change into one of those. He shook his head slightly, trying to make himself pay attention. He was having a hard time doing it though. But I had the same sickness, and the only reason I'm still alive is because I was turned into a vampire," Alucard told the dragon morosely, "Plus he already acts like one of us, so why not?" He smiled. He turned back to Vladimir and snickered at his response. "You are honestly the weirdest elf, I've ever met in my entire life," Alucard told him smiling widely. He leaned in closer, his fangs now replaced his canines. He could smell all the blood pumping through his body, it smelt great. He located the largest vein on his neck, and like a snake, he struck.

Re: Strangely Sick Before Vlad could respond to anything Alucard said, the vampires fangs were sunken into his skin. Vlad started to yelp, but the pain was so excruciating that it made him cut it off. It felt as if someone had placed lava in his neck! The pain seared through his entire body, but most of all his neck. He could feel himself changing, from his new fangs beginning to grow to a feeling in his belly that told him he actually needed blood. He groaned, not knowing which of the feelings were more overpowering, the rapid evolution, or the horrible, horrible pain.

Re: Strangely Sick This was why people thought of him as a monster. For the whole time Vladimir was crying in pain, a smile constantly stayed on his face. With his hands behind his back, Alucard waited patiently for the transformation to complete. It's ironic how times goes slower for the one being changed, and faster for those watching. About a half an hour later, it was finished. He stood over Vladimir, smirking, and offered his hand. "Welcome to your new life, my friend." Once Vlad was back up on his feet, he let him have a minute to get used to his new body, before saying "Vladimir, now that your one of us, I'll have to ask you this, will you join my coven?"

Re: Strangely Sick It seemed hours before the horrible pain finally stopped. Every second had stretched into minutes, and every minute seemed like hours. When Vlad was finished transforming, he got up, and began examining himself. His skin was much paler, unlike the slight tan he had developed in the desert. He noticed that his neck was lacking a wound, as well. He walked back and forth a few times, and then tried running. He could run incredibly fast! It was so exciting that he fell flat on his face as he was stopping. He laughed and shook Alucard's hand vigorously. "Thank you very much!" He said, excited over his new body, not to mention life.
"Sure, I'll join your coven," Vlad responded to Alucard's question, acting as if he knew what that was. Re: Strangely Sick "No problem," Alucard said laughing at Vladimir's excitement. He pulled his hand away, for the longer Vlad shook it the more it started to hurt. A large smile grew across his face at Vladimir's response. "Wonderful! I'm sure you'll be excepted with open arms! I wont bother you with the details now, for I'm sure you must be parched." Once Vladimir ran off, Alucard walked over to the dragon. "I apologize for not thanking you earlier. But I was a bit preoccupied with Vladimir's condition. Thank you for saving me, and helping to fight off Saul. My name is Alucard, it's a pleasure Miss...?"

Re: Strangely Sick Vlad nodded, feeling his new fangs grow at the thought of how much he hungered blood at that moment. He ran off with his speed into the trees that surrounded the running water. New scents filled his nostrils. Scents of deer, rabbits, and many other animals that were filled with blood. He wasted no time chasing after the nearest animal. It was a small rabbit, and it jumped in terror and began to run when it saw Vlad.
Vlad was too fast, though. He caught the rabbit right in his hands. How he did that, he was unsure. Before he bothered pondering more on the thought, his fangs were being sunk deep into the neck of the rabbit. Blood spattered on the new vampire's tongue, filling his mouth with a simply wonderful taste. He knew blood tasted good, but now that he was a vampire, it was simply heaven! He could feel the little rabbit's heartbeat on his hand. It was weakening. With each heartbeat, though, more blood spattered on his tongue. Finally, the rabbit stopped breathing, and soon after, it's heart stopped. Vlad placed the dead carcass on the ground, already spotting another rabbit. This time he simply poked a hole in it's belly with his sword, and drank it without putting his mouth on it. He threw the dead carcass when he was finished, feeling his fangs slide back now that he wasn't hungry anymore. Re: Strangely Sick "Your help was much appreciated, I'll have to repay you someday," Alucard said to Elcyon. By the look on her face, he wondered if she was upset for what he did to Vladimir. He was about to say something to her, but the newborn vampire returning from his outing stopped him. Alucard pulled out the same handkerchief he used to cover Vladimir's mouth to prevent sand entering his lungs when hey were leaving the desert. "Wipe your mouth, it's covered in blood," Alucard said to him, throwing the fabric at him. "You need to learn how to drink like a gentleman." No doubt he would be the one to teach him everything, though it probably wasn't much since Vlad already knew a lot about them. "Anyway, Elcyon, this is Vladimir. Vladimir, this is Elycon," Alucard said introducing everyone.

Re: Strangely Sick Vlad softly wiped his mouth with the handkerchief, trying to seem 'gentlemanly'. His head turned to the dragon as they were introduced. He smiled and waved shyly. Strangely, questions bubbled up in him quickly. Without being able to control himself, he asked, "Where are you from? What's your favorite color? What is your favorite food? Do you work for anyone? If you do, who? Did you kn-" Vlad cut himself off. He realized what a hyperactive child he was acting like. Slowly, he realized how much energy was within him, and how excited he was that he was a vampire.
"You don't have to answer those..." Vlad said, felling embarrassment rush through his system. Guessing that Alucard was a bit uneasy, she assured him, You have done what you could to save his life I hold no grudge against you for doing this.Elcyon looked from Alucard to Vladimir with a serious gaze as Vlad had no doubt reached a "blood high", until she laughed good-humoredly, hoping they knew she was merely joking. I wouldn't mind answering those, seeing as we are on the same side. She took a deep breath and answered Vlad's questions.

For the time being, she went along with it and smiled. Then she turned to Vladamir. Are you sure you’re alright? You look a little…frazzled, Elcyon laughed.

Re: Strangely Sick Alucard rolled his eyes and sighed at Vladimir's immaturity. When he started to fall, Alucard quickly caught him. He looked over in the direction the dart came from. A huge horde of Urgals. He removed the dark from Vlad's neck and examined it. The contents in the vile were nothing more than a sleeping concoction. Alucard looked over at Elcyon and smirked. Don't be silly, I find this as a perfect opportunity for Vladimir to fight in his new and improved body of his. Those creatures are certainly no match for two vampires and a dragon, He responded coolly. Alucard then proceeded to punch Vladimir in the face. It should have had enough force to wake him from his intoxicated sleep. When he didn't wake Alucard punched him again, a bit harder this time. But again, no response. Finally after the third punch,Vladimir started to stir. Once he was up again Alucard said, "Sorry about that. I had to wake you somehow, if I did any damage it should heal up in a matter of seconds. Now, I'm going to ask you to change into your other form, so we can go kill those beasts that attacked you."

Re: Strangely Sick Vlad slept dreamless for the few moments he was asleep. Pain rushed through his face, but he couldn't get himself to wake up to see what it was. Finally, he awoke and found himself being punched in the face by Alucard. At first, a look of surprise etched itself on his face, then when Alucard explained, his expression changed back to the usual blankness.
"Wait... There's just a tiny problem with that... I DON'T KNOW HOW!" Vlad yelled, both annoyed and frightened for his life. In a stress-filled rage, he paced in circles. Re: Strangely Sick Elcyon was literally shocked. What in the world did he mean by that?! He was most likely delirious. She looked at Alucard and shook her head. Obviously Vlad is in no condition to fight! It'd be better if we all avoided this and got out of here! Without waiting for a reply, she scooped up the two vampires with her claws and flew up into the sky, just barely avoiding the Urgal's weapons. The extra weight was keeping her from flying any higher, but her speed wasn't reducing. I'm getting you both out of here! she said with determination.

Re: Strangely Sick He was about to explain to Vladimir how to change, but was scooped up by Ecylon before he could speak. "What are you doing,this is the perfect time for him to practice!" Alucard yelled at the dragon. He changed into his own other form and elbowed the dragon in the gut, causing her to drop the two. I'm sorry Miss Elcyon, but this may be his only change Alucard told her. He grabbed Vladimir and threw him higher in the air and yelled, "Let your new instincts take over! Let your body change into it's true form!"

There was just about nothing other than changing that could possibly save his life. He shut his eyes. He felt something come over him. It was as if someone was controlling his body and kicking him off to the side.
He opened his eyes. He was on the ground. More in particular, on his feet. He felt much taller, saw his skin was as black as the night sky, and could feel horns extending out of his head. He couldn't move himself, though. It was as if instinct had completely taken over, and he was just left in the back of his mind to watch the show. His body jumped to the right. A menacing roar erupted from it's throat. It was like nothing Vlad had ever heard in his entire life! It was cold, threatening, and most of all, it was positively fierce! His body dug it's claws into the side of an urgal, and then ripped out all of it's contents. Re: Strangely Sick El didn’t stop them as they went to fight the Urgals, she had no idea what the vampire life was all about but it appeared they had things under control and she had to believe them. With that, El drew up her fire breath and released it upon the Urgals, engulfing over 20 of them in one blow.

Re: Strangely Sick Alucard flew back down to the ground, changing back into his human form. He stood a good distance from Vladimir's rampage, and Elcyon's flames. One by one, the creatures fell whether it be of burning or of organs and blood. Any stray urgals that headed for Alucard fell pray to his illusion. Stopping dead in their tracks due to the sudden pain of their skin being ripped off and their body being burned. With his head behind his back, Alucard watched the massacre. It was truly a gruesome sight, and with Vladimir's roar, it only made that sense even more frightening. "He certainly is a natural isn't he Miss Elcyon," Alucard noted. "He's almost scaring me."

Re: Strangely Sick Vlad's body picked up an urgal, split it's body in two, and then drank it's blood. The vampire could feel himself grow stronger, and just then noticed his wings. He slashed at another urgal with his claws, watching the body split in two. He pounced on another, tearing open it's rib cage and throwing it's organs everywhere. He threw the body at other urgals, roaring again.
He roared again. This time, more fierce than ever. To be frank with you, your kind althogether frightens me, she murmured. Don't take it personally, but as I am frightened, I am also facinated how so much power and abilites can be drawn from within whenever you need to call it. I have never witnessed a vampire in battle, but I must say you both are very impressive...

He looked over at the urgals that were under hi8s illusion, and noticed that their heartbeats stopped. Heart attack. Alucard confirmed. A heart, and pair of lungs landing right at his feet, caught him by surprise. Alucard glared at Vladimir, who threw the organs. "Vladimir, control yourself! You don't need to rip out the organs!" Alucard yelled at him.

Re: Strangely Sick Vlad's body slowly turned around as Alucard yelled at him. A low growl escaped his throat, and Vlad could tell his instinct-taken-body was about to maul Alucard. His feet began to move, along with his legs. He was running towards Alucard, and didn't know how to stop. Everything around his body seemed to slow to a crawl. He roared as he was but a few feet from Alucard's body.
But, Vlad's body tripped on a rock, and whimpered. His body slowly shrank, and his skin turned back to the usual pale color. The horns and wings shrunk until they were nothing but his hair and his shoulder blades. Vlad regained control of his body over instinct. Vlad got up hastily, panting. "I have no control over that form whatsoever!" He shouted. "I apologize for almost... harming you, but I'm not sure I want to go into that form ever again!" Re: Strangely Sick Elcyon tensed as Vlad had nearly attacked Alucard, but relaxed when he went back into his original form. She paused for a minute in her killing to reply to what Al had said to her.
I am open-minded to most of the strange and unusual, so please don't act unnatural just to avoid making me squeamish. I don't want to make you uncomfortable either, she added with a light-hearted laugh. Re: Strangely Sick Alucard glared at Vladimir as he charged for him. His hand on his sword's hilt, Alucard readied to slice at Vlad if he got to close. Luckly for him, he returned to normal. Alucard relaxed, but didn't remove his hand from the hilt. He glared at Vladimir of a few more seconds before turning his attention to the remaining urgals. He rolled his eyes annoyed that they were still coming. He activated his illusion on the rest of the creatures, immobilizing them for Vlad and Elcyon to finish.
Once they were all dead, Alucard returned his attention to the dragon. "I've never seen a flame like that, it's very impressive," Alucard complimented, "Oh," He suddenly turned to Vladimir and kicked him square in the chest knocking him down. He placed his foot on Vlad's chest and his sword at his neck. "You have two options; either learn to control your other form, or never change into it again. For the consequence will be your death," Alucard told him menacingly with cold eyes. He sheathed his sword and removed his foot for Vladimir's chest, "I've killed many uncontrollable newborns Vladimir, I don't want to add you to that list." ooc: After Vlad's little rampage, there couldn't have been that many urgals left.... lol _________________ "Listen to them. Re: Strangely Sick Vlad got up quickly and silently, not about to bother with words. "I'm hungry" He stated "I might be back later." He walked away from the other two slowly. A few moments later, he made a sign with his hand. Then, he whispered some words in the ancient language. He watched his body shrink, his arms turn into wings, and his legs thin. Then, feathers spread across his body. He was now completely in his small bird form.
He tested his wings a few times. They seemed to be working perfect. Vlad then flapped his wings until he was lifted off of the ground. Re: Strangely Sick Thank you, though I only use it when I must...it isn't something normal...or good, Elcyon trailed off, once she noticed that the rest of the Urgal army had been depleated. Then she spotted Vlad take off in the form of a bird, and sighed. You are the vampire expert here, we should probably let him be, I assume?

Alucard punched a nearby rock, smashing it to pieces. He gritted his teeth, angry at himself. He felt like going after Vladimir to apologize for his over reaction, but agreed with Elcyon and let him be. Sitting high in a tree was the vampire slayer, Saul. His arm, still severely wounded from Alucard's sword, was now wrapped up in bandages. He looked down at the ground and said, "Arget, rïsa lam iet un malthinae unin oro." After saying that, through the ground rose large chunks of silver, which then formed into arrows. He smiled at his newly created weapon. He placed them in a specially made quiver which was attached to the bottom of his crossbow. A strange smell entered Saul's nose. He jumped down from the branch and followed the scent. Not long after he came across a bird, drinking blood. He smiled as he approached the bird formed vampire. "I recognize your scent," Saul said knelling down to vampire. "Yeah, your that elf that Alucard was with right? Vlad was? Huh, looks like your a vamp now. Congrats." _________________ "Listen to them. Re: Strangely Sick Vlad spotted a bird about his size flying around him. He flew at it, digging his talons into it's back. The bird died quickly, and the vampire flew down to the ground, satisfied with his hunting skills. He began indulging himself in the bird blood, feeling some strength, no matter how meager, come back to him.
The vampire continued to feed from the bird, and planned to until he sucked it dry, but was interrupted by the sound of feet approaching. He tensed completely, knowing that if he was seen, he would surely be killed, or harmed, or whatever. If Vlad was in vampire form, the colors of his face would've drained. He chirped away and back up some, trying to act as if he had no idea who Saul was. Then, with one last chirp, the young vampire hopped into the sky, flying as fast as he could. Flying away. Re: Strangely Sick Vlad yelped as he was caught. He yelled again and pecked as hard as he could at the vampires hand, drawing blood, but it did not make Saul release him. A low growl came from the bird. Vlad could feel the beast within attempting to take him over again, but he suppressed it. He knew he would need that beast soon if he was to get away from Saul.
But Vlad couldn't hold back the beast for long. He could already feel his hold on his body slipping. He could also feel himself slowly getting larger, he could feel his feathers slipping back into his skin, and every part of his body growing. After a few minutes, Vlad was in his normal vampire form. He was hanging on to control of his body by a thread. Then, everything snapped. In a split second, Vlad was flung into the back of his mind, and his body had turned into his demon form. The beast controlling his body back-handed Saul across the face, sending the vampire flying. Out of his mouth exploded a roar. It was louder than anything he had ever heard! El didn't wait. She took off into the sky, and decided to scan the ground in case the enemy was too large for them to handle. Re: Strangely Sick Alucard looked off into the distance that the sound of Vladimir, he wasn't sure if they should go after him he was much to dangerous in that form. "Miss, Elcyon I think it would be wise to stay if you..." Alucard stopped mid sentence as Elcyon flew off. "Wait!" He yelled He sighed and chased after her, he stopped dead in his tracks when he came across Vladimir and someone he didn't expect, Saul.
"A challenge is it? Fine! I'm more then willing to kill you!" Saul hissed as he stood up. He grabbed his crossbow and started to shot his arrows at Vladimir's feet, slowing him down. Once the demon was slowed Saul aimed for his head, it would definitely finish him off. He pulled the trigger, but it didn't hit Vlad. It hit Alucard. _________________ "Listen to them. Re: Strangely Sick Vlad yelped as arrows pierced his feet. They were apparently silver, because it hurt him very very badly. He was just about to maul Saul when he fired an arrow at his face. He closed his eyes, preparing for impact. The only things was, he didn't feel it. He opened his eyes. In front of him was Alucard, a silver arrow buried deep in his chest.
A large tear escaped the beast's eye. It rolled down his face, and finally fell down right next to Alucard's head. That was when Vlad realized, he was controlling his body! He stepped up with a new confidence. Now it was his turn to do the fighting, not the beast within him. He moved Alucard to the side, so he would not be trampled by the two vampires about to go all out fighting. "You have just crossed a major line with me. Anyone and everyone who crosses a line with me gets killed" Vlad said, feeling his control over his body grow to enormous measures, but still noting the beast in him was still there, just in case he got tired. Vlad ducked his head down, and raced over at Saul with extreme speeds he had never known. Re: Strangely Sick Elcyon looked at the scene, horrified that she hadn't thought any of this through. Alucard was injured, though Vlad seemed to be taking care of Saul all right. She quickly landed and rushed to Al in order to see if she could do anything to help. Though she didn't know what, especially because she wasn't good in the medical field and as far as she could remember all she did was cause trouble for Vlad and Al.

Re: Strangely Sick As Saul pulled the trigger Alucard found himself in between the arrow and the vampire. He didn't even know why, all he knew was that he did. As the arrow pierced his body, he felt like over a million volts of electricity run through him. Everything was going slow to him. The pain, him falling to the ground, and everyone else. Once impact came, everything seemed to be in normal speed again. He looked around to see Elcyon standing over him and Vlad with Saul. With a heaving exhale Alucard slowly stood up, using Elcyon's leg of support and made his way towards Saul. As he got closer, Alucard withdrew his sword. Now in front of Saul's face he said, "This swords has kill many vampires. And now, your one of them." After that it was silent. Nothing made a sound. Not the wind, or the birds, or even Saul.
He felt his shoulder blade snap as Vladimir tackled him. He withheld his scream from the searing pain, and tried his best to break free of newborn's grip. But with his shoulder busted there wasn't much he could do. His eyes widened as he saw Alucard approached, W-why isn't he dead?! He thought. He look of surprise quickly turned to anger as Alucard spoke to him. But he didn't reply. He felt pain that was like over a billion volts of lightning had run through him. Re: Strangely Sick Vlad let go of Saul's limp body after Alucard killed him. He stepped back, changing back into normal form. "You see... I found out that I can control myself, but I can also go on a kind of 'auto-pilot'" He said lowly, not knowing what to expect from the vampire. "Anyway, whether you like it or not, I'm healing that wound where the silver arrow hit you. I already know that it takes longer than normal to heal, I mean, just look at my poor feet!"
He turned Alucard around. Alucard fell to the ground on his knees. He was silent for a moment but he slowly started to laugh. He looked to the sky and started to speak in his native language, thanking his deity. As he got up, he continuously muttered "He's dead," in the other language. Once he calmed down a bit, Alucard looked down at his chest to see the arrow protruding from it. He closed his eyes and smiled as he tore it out. "A few more inches to the left and I would also be dead," Alucard informed everyone in English. He looked at Vladimir for a moment and walked past him saying, "I told you not tp worry about me, heal your feet, it must be hard to walk with silver arrows in them." He picked up Saul's Crossbow, and threw it at Elcyon's feet. "Miss Elcyon, would you please destroy that for me?" He asked, more so demanding. Once the weapon was gone, Alucard smiled at everyone. He waited a few moments for the wound to seal a bit more (after taking out the arrows, of course), and then walked over to the others. He furrowed his brow at the mention of a place called Beirland. He thoughts about it for a moment, and could find nothing in his memory of such a place. "What in the world is Beirland?" Alucard smiled at Elcyon's offer to ferry them. "Thank you Miss Ecyon, I don't think I should be doing much flying till this wound is healed," He said as he grabbed the hole in his chest. Before he got on the dragon's back Alucard walked over to Saul's body while removing his jacket. He knelled down next to it and chopped off his head, then wrapped it up in his jacket. He walked back to Elcyon with a disgust look on his face. "Well, we need proof that he's dead," He muttered grimly. "And this is my best jacket too..." he mumbled. He got on Elcyon's back, and within seconds they were soaring through the air towards Beirland.

IC: Vlad looked at Alucard as he chopped off Saul's head. It was an interesting thing to see. After a few moments of flying, he asked the elder vampire, "What do I have to do in this... er... initiation?" It made him wonder for a moment, what kind of customs vampires had. Sure, he knew the basics of what they did, so surely their other customs would come naturally. Still, he didn't know if his initiation was just a ceremony, or if it was a set of challenges. Re: Strangely Sick Elcyon raised an eyeridge. I haven't been there, I have only been to the island Illium, sadly, so this will be an interesting new place to explore, she said with a smile as she took off into the sky.
Oh! But the new weight was keeping her from flying higher than usual! She didn't show that it bothered her, however. She wasn't used to it, that was all. El only needed a few moments to practice before she could fly for a long time without feeling the extra weight. It'll most likely take about a day to get there, El told them, but I'll try to hurry, she added. She only listened to them as they made vampire plans. El began to wonder what would happen once she brought them to the island. She figured she'd be able to go home once she dropped them off. Alucard thought for a moment, remembering other initiations he'd seen. "Well, after they see what your about to do, they'll give you your symbol of loyalty," Alucard explain to him, he pulled his left sleeve up to show Vladimir the mark on his underarm, it looked like it had been branded onto his arm. "This is a symbol to show what coven you belong to, and that your loyal to them. Also if you break the law, you'll be sent to your coven to be executed. It sings a bit, but the pain goes away after a short while, the only thing is it never goes away." Alucard looked down at Elcyon and patted her neck while saying, "We're in no rush Miss Elcyon, but you are going to stay with us for the celebration aren't you?" _________________ "Listen to them. He chuckled a little under his breath, now knowing if the others we be as amused with that as he was. He wondered if Elcyon would decide to go home after she dropped them off. He figured she would probably want to. He would never want to return home, but that was just because despised the place. If she suggested anything about visiting home, Vlad would do everything he could (without getting himself killed, of course) to get her to go there. Even he missed home sometimes.
