could the name of book four be legacy?

Maybe. I read somewhere that it was going to be empire, but i don't think so. And that it would be green.

CP said that the name of book four would be something Eragon inherits. Eragon inherits the legacy of the riders. The only way Eragon would inherit the empire is if he became king wich he doesn't want to do.

that's true. But maybe it could be called something like Alagaesia, for he will be leaving it. That's not going to change, i don't think.

No idea. Maybe Brom was an heir to the throne or something. Whose Brom's father? And who was the original king of alagaesia?

So where was Galbatorix from? Wait... didn't he conquer alagaesia for himself? So tecnically he's not royalty. I think that Nasuada will take over and try to right teh wrongs he did during his reign with Eragon by her side until he leaves.

if nasuada becomes queen, who will she vouch for to become king? Maybe he'll break his future prophecy and stay in Alagaesia.

maybe roran will, and Katrina will be queen and they will rule fairly because Nasuada, leader of the Varden probably wont want the throne and would give it to someone of importance.

oh yeah. Do you think he might rebuild garrow's house for katrina and live there?

okay okay. What if they called the book Beyond the Horizon? Sounds cool.

Because to leave alagaesia he would have to go beyond the borders that very few people in all of alagaesia know. Just a guess.

One word titles are cool, and if he can come up with a one word title that can summarize the whole series, that would be sooooooooo cool. Maybe Inheritance?

that still wouldn't really leave much for him to inherit because he already has almost everything. All that he can get are memories.

well, no one said he had to keep his inheritence. Plus, Nasuada has to honor her bargen with the Kull, and maybe she'll give them the land that the castle stands on and they will break it down, ending the reing of the king forever.

I wonder how the elves got there. Obviously they didn't have dragons, so they had to chance their survival in an alien land and come by boats. But what made them leave?

Brom tells Eragon that the place the elves came from is called Alalea on page 49 of Eragon.

That makes sense, but its not unique. The legacy of the riders flows through all the rider's veins. Not just his. At least when they were alive. Legacy would still be a good name though.

I think it's going to be called something none of us predicted. xD As I recall (at least here) no one has ever got the name right ahead of time. =P
