yes they are classics. Its good how each book's plot is like totally different, because they are not really a series but separate books which can be linked together

If you like Sci-Fi or anything like it, you'll like the books.

novels are not fairy tales, i would classify chronicles of narnia as science fiction or fantasy/allegory. its definitely not mainstream fantasy lol

well HaydenBlowers91 it is actually a bit of both..
because if u took ANY notice of the books it is actually based on the bible- Aslan is god and in the 'FINAL BATTLE' where they die and they go to the "real" Narnia THAT is heaven... and there is also a few other points in it... go back and read it again with that in ur mind and ull realize its true...
(i didnt at first )

OOT- the only reason that we're not allowed to talk about religion is that it can lead to arguments, racism and discrimination. Something like that doesn't really matter.

OT- About Narnia, wasn't the magician's nephew the first in the series, not the lion the witch and the wardrobe? I might be wrong, but...

Yes, it was but C.S.Lewis wrote The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe first, then wrote The Magician's Nephew though.

My mom went to England and met his step-son, Douglas Gresham. I had let her borrow my book for the trip {Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe} and he signed it for me, in the same room that it was made in. I guess she went on a tour of C.S. Lewis's house and they were in the room were he had typed the books and the wardrobe was there in the room also, and thats were he signed it.

The chronicles of narnia is my favorite book series (next to the Eragon books) and C.S. lewis is (what i think) the best author of all time. i was glad that the movie was at least almost as good as the books and i cant wait till Prince Caspin ( sp?) comes out.

I remember when i was young in 1777. I remember being a powerless man that could not control my fate much less that of the people around me. I temember hearing the howls of the wolves and wishing i could run with them. And then came that faithful day when i was attacked by a lone wolf looking for food. It turns out what he called a curse was a blessing to me. I was finally able to run with the wolves not just in my imagination but in reality with four paws of my own. I was no longer a mere man or a victim of fate but a creature of the night, an immortal, A WereWolf.

Though I beg to differ on the movie, I would have to say I agree with the music. (horribly amazing GENIUS Williams was--lots o' KUDOS) I have the soundtrack, but I would have liked it better had they originized EVERYTHING!!! Gee, I could go on, well not everyone can be happy, but at least I am content...

Books, very genius of a man Lewis is...I didn't like "The Silver Chair" but the Last Battle was a Biblical replica and furthermore it'll do...

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian comes out May 16, in the United States. I forget when it comes out any place else. I can't wait for it! The trailer is out and it looks like it might be better than the first one, if that's possible! :D

You can also see the trailer here on the Internet. Just go to Yahoo Movies and look up the Prince Caspian movie and go under trailers and it will have it. I can't wait till it comes out. They say its going to be darker than the first movie, but I did like how the first movie wasn't as dark as Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings. It was a nice change, but I'm sure that this darker Narnia movie will be just perfect!

I know! The more and more I see new trailers and clips coming out, I just get more excited. I didn't think it was possible, but I think it has a chance of being better than the first one. We'll just wait and see!

Eh, the first one was good and all, but definitely not one of my favorite movies. Prince Caspian looks much better.

lol Prince Caspian looks like a great movie! I want to see it so badly! It looks like it might even be better than The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe! I wonder what happens. Don't Prince Caspian and the 4 kids join together and fight King Miraz or something? Has anyone seen the movie yet so they can tell me how good it is? :D

I thought that the battle scenes were long enough. I loved how they had battles and fights all throughout the movie. It really added a good effect to it.

I loved the first movie! I remember walking out of the theater right after I had seen it. It was freezing cold outside and through the chattering of my teeth I was going on and on about it, reliving my favorite parts.

And then I saw the second movie...

THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!

That's my opinion as well.! :) I think that they were able to bring out the theme of the story more in the movie than in the actual book. So in most ways, the movie was better than the book, which doesn't happen too often.

I really like the Chronicles of Narnia movies, but the books are kind of boring. I think they were written a long time ago, so that's why.

yeah. actually the books were written in the 1950s so its kinda hard to follow them, cuz unlike JK Rowling CS Lewis didnt really keep you interested in the story ALL the time.

Yes, I agree, C.S. Lewis isn't the best writer, but his stories are certainly classics.

Hmm. Well, I can't really decide which ones my favorite, but I will rate each one:

The Magician's Nephew: 6/10 It lacked in great epicness and overall plot.
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe: 9/10 Wonderful plot and beautiful story.
The Horse and His Boy: 9/10 Loved it! Can't wait to see it as a movie (if they make it).
Prince Caspian: 8/10 Loved the battles and epicness, however, it was lacking that beautiful story.
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader: 7/10 Great epicness and ideas but once again lacked in an overall plot.
The Silver Chair: 8/10 It was a nice adventure story, but I feel that it lacked in areas of epicness.
The Last Battle: 9/10 Brilliant! A perfect ending to the series.
