In the third book do you think that Eragon will die. I heard from one off my friends that Saphira might bit off Galbatorixes head and Eragon will die because he spent all of his Energy on his magic(something like that)

i just had a horrible thought. CP said that if he wrote another book, it would be about Brom. Maybe that is because eragon dies, so he can't write a 4th book about him?

I don't think he'll die...this is like The Blue Sword. you get a story, but there's a story from the past underneath it. here's Eragon. the story underneath is Brom's. so, when the trilogy is done, perhaps we'll get to hear Brom's story. I've been itching to know his fortune...and that might have it in there! yay for nosy me!

I don't think that Eragon will die because that: Gallbatorix don't want Saphira die so if Eragon die => Saphira die. If Saphira die how can they have dragon's eggs? Gallbatorix don't kill Eragon and Saphira that mean they will not die in the war so how can they die? There have only one way that Eragon can die:kill himself. But I don't think Eragon will do that be cause he knew that if he die Saphira will go with him.

In the first book, really early, it said he had a premontation (his first) and it had 3 people. two were boarding a graceful ship and one stood behind. That is probly Eragon and Arya and if that is true, then Eragon won't die.

There's only one thing I can't understand is why galby wants to save dragonkind? If i will be mr. bad guy than I'll let my dragon live and take care of other eggs. If there will be no eggs then no other rider can rise and I'll rule the world in time

1. Angelia predicted that he will have a long or infinite life, not a short life
2. Angelia said that no mater how you try to aviod it, it will come meaning the going away from Alagaesia forever
3. Eragons premotion in Book one really early.

i think in some way he will die, not exactly the way your friend descrebed it, maybe, but highly unlikly. i think he will die because it's a great way to end the last book, the main charictor dieing

I think whoever he falls in lovs with (Arya hopeflly) will go away with him when he leaves Alagaesia.. just my 2 cents...

You ppl love the dark and gloomy, don't you? If Eragon dies, I will personally track CP down and beat him until he tells me what he was thinking. And someone just mentioned the dragon knuckle bones, they predicted that Eragon will have a very long life or that he will live forever. I hope that he will live a very long life, but who wants to live forever?

So we know for a fact that Eragon won't die in the last book, but we're no sure if he'll live forever. This cheers me up a lot. I should have read that bit a little sooner...

It'd take a while to read, but if you've got a copy of Eragon here's the pages it's on.

pgs. 203-205 or you could just read the chapter titled "The Witch and The Werecat". (It makes more sense if you read the whole chapter, or better yet, the entire book so you can see part of the prophecy come true.)
