 Valessa & Faro
I hope I did this right D:
Valessa
Name: - Valessa Spiritbow
Age: - Unknown, Appears to be roughly 18
Gender: - Female
Skills: - Archery - Valessa crafts all of her arrows herself, and infuses each one with a little magic, so that even if her aim is compromised, her arrows almost always strike their target. She sung her own bow, so that it is lightweight, yet strong. Since she has practised for many years, Valessa is a talented archer. Magic - Valessa completed her training in magic fully, and there were few troubles in Alagaesia in the years when she was a newly trained rider, which meant that she had time to practise her skills and hone her talent in magic. She is mostly skilled in spells tht involve water, and enjoys to create her own little spells in her spare time. Riding - Whether it be a horse, dragon, or any other ridable animal, Valessa enjoys riding, and is a fast horse rider, and can handle just about any air trick that dragons perform. At a young age, when not practicing archery, Valessa would be riding elven horses all over Du Weldenvarden.
Race: - Elf
Hair: - Valessa's hair is black, like both of her parents, but when Faro hatched for her, her hair gained a purplish tinge, not visible in most places, but inthe light, it seems to shine purple. Her hair is slightly curly, just enough so that each lock winds round a few times before the end.
Eyes: - Valessa has deep brown eyes, the colour of tree bark, but when she became a Rider, her eyes became ever so slightly flcked with a purplish blue, the same hue of Faro's eyes.
Home Village: - Valessa was born in the small town of Ceris, but when she grew older, Valessa and Faro would often wander around Du Weldenvarden, and now she tells that her heart is her home, and that leaves her free to wander Alagaesia, and indeed, maybe other lands.
Parents: - Lessaru Greeneye - Lessaru Greeneye is Valessa's mother. She came from deep within the heart of Du Weldenvarden, and is considered to be one with nature, fascinated by every aspect of it. Sylaef Spiritbow - Like his daughter, Sylaef is an expert archer. His name 'Spiritbow' was given to him by a close friend, who believed that no arrow could fly as his could without aid of magic or spirits.
Siblings: - N/A
Character Personality: - Valessa is a strange girl. At times, she would seem like all she ever wants to do is talk and meet other elves, and make friends and bond. However at other times, she would often ride - or fly out into the depths of the forest and walk amongst the shady light of the trees, or even venture from the forest and dance among the sandy dunes of the Hadarac. Valessa always feels an un-subduable need to explore, for if somebody tells her a myth or tale of some far off land, or something hidden within Alagaesia, she feels as though she has to find out. Valessa often finds herself in the high peaks of the Beors, or flying above the raging waves of the Alagaesian seas. After Faro hatched for her, Valessa found it much easier to follow this need to explore, for with him, she could fly high in mountains, and far out to sea to search for other lands. Valessa loves spare time, because she can use it to fulfill ambitions, and it was lucky for her that she was born into a calmer time; before Galbatorix and the settlement of humans, but nearer the end of Du Fyrn Skulblaka. She also has a freat fascination for the beasts of the Earth, from dragons to cats, and from horses to wolves.
Character History: - At least 15 lines. Valessa was born before the end of the war between Elves and Dragons, but she was young then, and didn't really take it in. She saw the formation of the riders, and one day, when she was still a child by Elven terms, a dragon hatched for her. She named him Faro, after the first horse she ever rode, and they began their training. Valessa was often lazy in her training, deeming it unnessecery when there was no real need for her. Because of this, she never fully recieved all the training later Dragon Riders recieved. She was trained in the ways of magic and figting, but not completely in literary pursuits such as poetry. Once the time came, she was declared a full rider, and spent most of her days with Faro, flying around Alagaesia. There was little need for her to fight, so she spent much time pursuing her favourite things, inventing strange spells, exploring the far reaches of the continent, and archery. Once she had received her sword, Argetdurna, meaning Silver-Water, she took the habit of co-ordinating all of her other weaponry to match her sword. She enchanted fletching feathers so that they appeared the same shimmering hues of her sword - and of Faro's scales. The next chapter in her history is unwritten, for it has yet to happen, becuase Valessa was never slain by any beast, not Urgal, Ra'Zac or Rider. It is because of this that her tale could continue into the age of human riders, and even into the time when Galbatorix dominated his Empire.
Weapons: Argetdurna - This is Valessa's sword. It is of an average length, and the handle is just long enough so that, if needed, it can be gripped and used with tw hands. The blade is a strange colour; it matches Faro's scales, so that it appears black, but in different lights, it appears different colours. The handle is a dark, wooden colour, with a silver wire wrapped and swirling round the handle Spirit - This is Valessa's bow. It is fairly long, and carved with intricate designs or vines, horses, dragons and flowers. It shoots arrows over an admirable distance and could be considered an exeptional bow when in the hands of Valessa, for she is an 'expert' archer. Knives - Valessa has two fairly short knives that can be whipped out from their sheaths, which hang at her hips. They are useful in situations when she needs to be speedier than she would if using a sword, and allows her to fight multiple enemies at once. Dagger - Valessa has a small, wooden - hilted dagger that fits neatly into an inner pocket within her right boot. She often keeps this dagger concealed, so that it can be used as an unexpected defence.
Likes: - Valessa likes new things. She likes to discover things she hasn't seen before. She also loves animalsm and nature, especially horses, and dragons.
Dislikes: - Valessa dislikes little. One of the things she does dislike is being told what to do. One of the reasons she dislikes this, is because things like dragons, and trees aren't told what to do, and she believes if we (the elves) areat one with nature, then we should act like it.
Animal Companions: - Valessa's crrent 'animal' companion is Faro, her dragon.
Character's Physical Description: - Valessa's hair is black, like both of her parents, but when Faro hatched for her, her hair gained a purplish tinge, not visible in most places, but inthe light, it seems to shine purple. Her hair is slightly curly, just enough so that each lock winds round a few times before the end.Valessa has deep brown eyes, the colour of tree bark, but when she became a Rider, her eyes became ever so slightly flcked with a purplish blue, the same hue of Faro's eyes. Her build is like that of most elves; she is of average height, and her skin is lightly tanned. Her arms show slight signs of muscle, but not so much that it is obvious at a glance.
Dreams for the Future: - Valessa dreams that one day, Elves and Dwarves and whatever other races dwell in the lands will reliquishtheir hold on technology in favour of a wanderer's life, understanding of animals, forever seeking new lands and new places, just like she does.
Reason for Dreams: - Valessa's dreams are caused for her love of exploration and discovery, and how she believes that the only home a person should have is within their heart, not in a house.
Alignment/side: - Valessa has no particular preferance, however, if need be, she would cast her fate with the other elves, and with whatever she believed to be right.
Faro
Dragon Name: - Faro Darkclaws
Age: - Unknown
Gender: - Male
Parents: - Unknown; Mother was Rider - Bound, Father was a wild dragon.
History: - Faro hatched to the Elf Valessa. He matured in Du Weldenvarden, and once he had been trained in the ways of a Rider's Dragon, he and his Rider set off from Du Weldenvarden to explore the corners of Alagaesia. While he was young, there were no great battles, so Faro and Valessa were never slain, and they never perished in the fall either, as far at it is know, they fled Alageasia to the East. Since they never died, Faro and Valessa's tale could take part in any moment of Alagaesia's history, from just after the Dragon War, to far along in the future.
Personality: - Faro is a very playful dragon. He enjoys chasing animals, even if he doesn't mean to catch them for prey. Faro, like Valessa, enjoys exploring, and will often soar high above the land, just watching what is going on below. One of his other favourite things to do is swim. He loves to dive as deep as he can in lakes and in the sea, and will often try to take Valessa to those depths, too. Because helves flying and swimming so much, Faro rarely wants to land, and would often travel by swimming up rives, instead of just walking beside them.
Colour: - Faro's scales are an unusual thing. His scales would appear black in areas with no, or little light, but if light shines directly on them, they will appear to shine in many different colours.
Appearance: - His scales would appear black in areas with no, or little light, but if light shines directly on them, they will appear to shine in many different colours. Faro's eyes are a deep, purplish -blue, and his claws are black. He has long black horns, black spikes running along his spine, and two black spikes on either side of his face, just behind his horns. Faro has large wings, and strong legs. On the end of his tail is a cluster of four spikes; two above, two below. Faro's fire is also unusual. Where the fire leaves his throat, it is a bright red, but at the end of the flame, it is a deep purple, and in between, it fades through almost all the colours of the spectrum.
Armour: - N/A
Dreams for future: - Faro dreams, that one day, dragons and elves and dwarves and all the other races will live at peace, and all will rule together over Alagaesia.
Reasons for dreams: - Simply that he thinks it would be nice.

He realised he did not have enough, and took the time to go and buy more, so his sandwich was delicious. Paolini also made an edam sandwich, and he too, ran out. Instead of taking the time to get more, he placed the cheese by the edges so that the sandwich came off as excellent, but in fact, was disappointing."
