Nah. The reason the book is named Brisingr and not Empire is that he is saving the title Empire is being saved for the book in which Eragon fights Galby.

Sorry Arya_Rox but I have to disagree with your theory. If Arya does not become queen of her people she would obviously leave with Eragon and the person crying on the shores would be Ronin along with all of those who where saved by Eragon. If Aryas was queen of her people and her dragonw as Saphira's mate...then there prbobably would be a "Elves going back to where they came from" moment. As she would elave with Eragon along with her elves to find there homeland where dragons may be rumored to exist.

Another thing I must inform you all of, is that there will not be a fourth Inheritence book. Either Eragon will die, or Galby will die by the end of the third book. Its what has been lead up to and what will happen. If CP does right a 4th book with the history of this trilogy, it will take place a)in another land as Eragon travells. Or B) in the aftermath of Galby's victory as he tries to sweep the nation...Ronin would probably become the main character.

Well i poke my tounge back at you in return. Unfortunatly in all books like this there must be some form of resolution. And since the whole plot of this book has been very: Galby is responsible for killing Uncle=Eragon want to kill galby->Galby being to powerful=Eragon searching for more power to kill glaby. The book would be very anti-climatic for the entire trilogy if Eragon and Galby had a draw, or simply never fought. Such a terrible ending would submerge CP's writing carreer into the darkest parts of the ocean. After all there was a prophecy saying that Eragon would one day slay Galby so I am quite certain that the plot will come full circle to Eragon vs. Galby with only one survivor.

The only way your theory could work Arya [of galby and eragon both living] is one of these three scnearios that would fit CP's writing style: 1) Eragon is fighting Galby but even for all his new found strength Eragon is defeated by galby but before he is killed manages to flee the battle and begins to head for the sea so he can escape Agalesia. Along the way the varden and those who wish to rebuild somewhere else follow him, however galby is close behind and when eragon gets to the boat those there board and leave...thus the people left on the shore are screaming as Galby comes up behind to start killing them, then saphira or the gold dragon fly off to confront galby to give eragon time to escape. 2) Eragon defeats galby, but galby not wishing to perish flees the battle across the ocean astride his dragon to flee to a nearby contenent. Eragon knowing agalesia will never truelly be safe with galby conitnuing to gain power somewhere else. Thus Eragon pursues Galby across the sea never to return as he endlessly chases galby. (this is a good endning like number 1 since it leaves two options for the supposed 4th book. a) could be written again about eragon searching for galby and the never ending hunt. b) the people of agalesia are in need of aid, and a skilled tracker/scout is sent out to find clues and locate eragon to bring him home, story of course being based on this scout.) 3) Galby was actually possessed by an evil spirit and Eragon gets the name of this dark spirit and is able to banish it from exestince. Thus Galby turns out to be a nice young boy who enjoys tea and crumpets. He and Eragon become the best fo friends and live happily ever after, but since the empire kind of hates galby, they do not understand what went wrong, eragon and galby leave the land together as friends with their two dragons playing in the sky.

As you can see none of my ideas really sound like what would happen (though the 3rd i would hate to admit sounds the worst, but is by far the more likely of the writing characterstics CP has supplied to me) so i can quiet assure you that galby will die, or at least be defeated in some form. And Eragon will go out into the new world to solve a dire problem.
So Arya stick that little tounge into that pretty little mouth of yours until you can give me a better rebuttle

I have a question in my mind, if the varden took over feinster then there will still be Belatona and Dras-Leona to conquer, after that they will battle in uru'baen for the final battle. That will take a long time to do and lots of battles. How long will book 4 be?

I would like it if Arya will be dragon rider coz it will be like this:

Eragon is a human and Roran is a respected person in the Varden and a candidate for the next king of Alagaesia.
Eragon is a member of dugrimist ingentium and orik's foster bro, the dwarf king.
If Arya will be the green dragon rider Eragon may marry her and Arya is the princess and will be queen if her mother dies.

If this happens he will become relatives to the most important people in Alagaesia including himself hence the name INHERITANCE.

That's what I think.

I finally made it into your site!!!!!!!!

I have some theories on how Eragon will be able to sustain his strenght and not pass out every time he uses magic.

First , after rereading the part of the book , where Eragon meets with Oromis, again.
Eragon ask Oromis to teach him the summoning spell, which he did.
I think Eragon will use this spell to summon Oromis sword , which holds a hundred years worth of magic within the big yellow diamond stone thats mounted on his sword. This magic will keep his strenght up .
second , I think Eragon will also use this same spell to take all of Galbortrix's power away from him , by summoning the heart of hearts that he stold from all the dragons .
third, he will use the 7 magic words that Brom , taught him before he died to kill Galbortrix. fourth , the vault of souls , is I believe is where Saphira went when Glaedr injuried her during their first training sessions

i'm sure, and book four is supposed to be like 700 pages, if the info from Shur'tugal.com is right, then the 3rd book was going to be 1400 pages if he didn't devide them up, GTG.

If the summoning spell was that easy, Galby would have summoned saphira's egg, even Eragon himself.
Also Oromis could have summoned the captured dragons hearts of hearts to stop Galby from becoming too powerful. Or the smith could have summoned Brightsteel instead of searching for it.
I think that CP must have come up with some rules or limitations for using the summoning spells. Or it would just become stupid.
On the other hand, if you know exactly where the object you want is and have the power or connection, then you could use the summoning spell.

Maybe the rule to that is you have to know where that object isbefore you teleport it. If that rule didn't exist then Oromis would have the eldunari of the dragons or galbatorix have back saphira's egg. Arya was able to transfer the egg coz she knew where it is.

That is my opinion to that.

If the fourth book is about 700 pages maybe CP will focus mainly on Eragon and sometimes shift into the battles/sieges of the Varden. There are still many questions to be answered and I am wondering how he could fit them all in one book.

Well whatever that spell does I think it will be an important spell concerning the last dragon egg and the eldunari of the dragons. I thought of something, why did he name it inheritance cycle? Why not quadrilogy coz cycle is more fitting for five books, and I was wishing it to be 5 books so even shruikan can have a book with him in the cover. And 5 books is fitting coz they still need to attack belatona and dras-leona. But the elves are making good progress being in Gil'ead already.

What book type will I get when I buy book 4?

My copy of Eldest is a mass market paperback.
And my copy of Brisingr is hardcover.

I think that if Arya is the last dragonrider I think she will get the green sword that is in Ellesmere. So that the elf smith doesn't have to make another sword. Eragon's sword Brisingr is awesome.

It wasn't "released" that Arya is the new Rider. Everybody is giving an educated guess. Arya is the number one character who is suggested to become the new rider. CP didn't release it.

I personally dont think arya should be the next rider.
It's way too obvious for my liking.

Brom can't be morzan because when eragon was in ellesmera oromis saiid that brom and morzan were classmates.
