Skills: Due to what the dark and light spirits did to her while she was still in the egg, Endruika is smarter, more perceptive, faster and stronger than other dragons, but not by much, just enough to give her an edge over other normal dragons, but if she’s fighting a normal dragon the same size as she is, that edge by itself is enough for her to win. The dark spirit also taught her how to fight and gave her a spell. When she is very angry, this spell allows her to become bigger, faster and stronger than normal, but she also becomes half crazy, so she doesn’t use this spell much, for fear that she might do something incredibly stupid. The process takes a minute and a half, and during it she’s completely vulnerable, though the growth spurt is likely to crush anyone who gets to close, but during the transformation process she could be easily attacked from above or from a distance. She can also hypnotize people, but it takes a full half minute to do so, and she has to concentrate absolutely on her target. If her target is very strong-willed, they might be able to break away before the half minute is complete, but it’s very difficult. If she has ever been inside the person’s mind before, they will not be able to break away. She generally doesn’t use this spell while fighting, since she can’t fight and hypnotize someone at the same time, though if her target is the only person she’s fighting, she might hypnotize anyway, since her target is also incapable of doing anything during the hypnosis process.

Character personality: Because of what the dark spirit did to her, Endruika is evil, but because of the light spirit, she’s not pure evil. She is generally pretty reserved and likes to keep to herself, but she will go with anyone who offers her a good fight. More than anything else, she loves to fight. She enjoys the kill, as well as the pain and fear of her enemies, but more than anything else she loves the fight. She isn’t pure evil, but because of what the dark spirit did to her, sympathy and love are nearly impossible for her. When these emotions do break through, she has difficulty controlling them because they’re so rare. She is rather bored by the rest of the world, and often wonders why people act the way they do. She often wonders why Galbatorix is trying to destroy the Varden. She herself has no desire for domination, so these things make no sense to her. She often wonders who her parents are, and where she really belongs. This is the only thing she really thinks about much. She doesn’t like other people much, and when people chatter at her, it generally makes her grumpy. The only thing she’ll talk about much is fighting. It’s what she enjoys above all else, and she’s very touchy about her history and private life. She doesn’t have much in the world to be happy about, so she’s grouchy most of the time. She doesn’t have any real friends, but she enjoys her reputation. If someone annoys her, she’ll generally just attack until they run off. She doesn’t care as much about her life as most people do, and cares even less about the lives of other people. Loyalty is not important to her. To her, the world is a dead place, colorless and without meaning, nothing much worth living for.

Character history: Endruika’s egg was washed up on a shore, far from Alagaesia, in a land full of dark and light spirits. A light spirit found the egg, and discovered that the dragon inside was dead. The spirit was attempting to revive the egg when a dark spirit also found the egg and discovered it was dead. The dark spirit also wanted to have the egg, but for his own evil purposes. There were no dragons in that land, and he wanted to reanimate the corpse. The two spirits, light and dark, fought over the egg. In the end, the light spirit had the egg completely alive, but the dark spirit had made it nearly impossible for the dragon to feel love or sympathy. The two opposite powers clashing in the egg had also made the dragon slightly more intelligent, perceptive, stronger, and faster than a normal dragon. The dark spirit got away with the egg, and it hatched. He named it Endruika, and the spirit only ever told her that he had found her egg washed up on the shore. Unknown to the dragon or the dark spirit, however, the light spirit watched her grow up, hoping that she could still be saved from evil. The dark spirit taught her as she grew up, teaching her to fight, teaching her to use her skill for hypnotism, teaching her the enhancement spell that made her stronger and faster, but also insane. And then, when he decided she was ready, the dark spirit released her upon the world. He wanted her to help him capture the land of spirits. And so they proceeded, bit by little bit, slowly conquering the land. After nearly two centuries of this, Endruika began to grow bored. At first the spirit cajoled her, coaxed her to stay with promises of wealth and power, but that didn’t work for long. She had no interest in power, and life didn’t seem to have meaning to her, it was just in black and white, no colors. Eventually, she left. She decided to start by looking for more dragons, so that’s what she was doing when she found Alagaesia. There she found dragons if not in abundance, at least in much plentiful supply then where she came from. And so Endruika arrived in Alagaesia, to search for the meaning of life. And unknown to her, the light spirit was still following.

Likes: Fighting. Not really much else.

Dislikes: The world in general. She can’t find any point to it.

Physical appearance: Endruika is a big golden dragon, and with a wingspan of 100 feet, bigger than is usual for her age, but not really big enough to be abnormal. Her scales are the same golden color all over while her talons and claws are silver. She holds herself in a powerful way, but her shoulders are always a bit slumped, not really enough for anyone to notice unless they’re really looking. Her eyes are silver, like her spines and scales, and at a glance, cold and indifferent, but if you look deeper in, they look sad. In enhanced form, she is twice as big as normal, her scales are bloodred, her spines and claws pure black, and her eyes as red as her scales, and completely wild.
