she appeared super-powerful in Eragon because Eraogn was human. Because of his transformation, he now matches her in strength.

oh and about the "too obvious" thing, you are DOUBTING IT. thusly it will be kinda surprising when she turns out to be the next rider. It's a hiding in plain sight kinda thing.

I agree on the family thing on how Roran, Eragon, and Murtagh are all related so they could all be riders. But Nasuada doesn't need a dragon because she has the Varden behind her to defeat Galby and I don't think she needs to be rider.

and we know it's not going to be a random person
then again roran is the only one without something behind him
he isn't a leader, or an elf or a dwarf
he's a lovesick cousin to the main character
plus he did have part of eldest written from his point of view
plus the fact they're all related

her becoming a rider won't make her more powerful. Eragon was made moer powerful at first because Humans have had little effect from their link with dragons. Elves have been effected to a maximum extent, so she will only become more powerful in the fact that she can cast spells with her dragon's strength.

Don't forget that Nasuada had parts of Eldest writen from her point of view too.

Arya should be on thta most likely list. really, she is the MOST likely, which is why most people think it will be her, OR they think that it wont be her cuz it's too obvious. THAT is most likely the "surprise" that CP has. it's so obvious that you doubt it.

Not most of them think it is her, just some of them not all.

MOST (not all) people either think it's her, or they think it isn't her cuz it would be too obvious if it was.

ok first of all just because Arya's magic is green and the next dragon will be green doesn't mean anything
second being a great warrior has nothing to do with a dragon picking someone since eragon was a farm boy at the time.
Eragon doesn't have a love problem like before now that Arya told him that she doesn't love him and likes him only as a friend.

her being a great warrior makes her valuable in fighting Galby. it doesn't have to do with how the egg will chose, but it has to do with how CP will choose. Also, there is little time available to train a rider from scratch, so the rider will have to be a spellcaster and a good warrior.

Yes, though that doesn't mean that his problem is still gone. He still loves her and she doesn't show him any love in return. THAT is the problem.

cuz Oromis is dieing and he said that if Eragon is called on (which he was) he might not have enough time to finish Eragon's training. If he doesn't think he has time to finish Eragon's training from where it is now, what makes you think that he will have enough time to train a rider who knows nothing of either magic or swordsplay?!?!?!

they don't have to be fully trained and may not be before they confront Galbatorix. sure it would help but.......

Eragon was beaten by Murtagh with all of his training. A rider with even LESS training would just be in the way and a liability.

Galbatorix taught Murtagh dark magic that Eragon would never use so he could win.

So? that makes it even MORE important that the rider be fully trained.

But that doesn't mean it HAS to be Arya.

if she's going to be trained, she does. Also, remember how long it took Eragon to be able to sense all of the animals around the stump at once? He only achieved this after he was transformed. He would have taken longer if he wasn't transformed. Nasuada has to be trained FROM THE BEGINING. it takes normal riders a while b4 they are able to talk to anything other than their dragons via mental link. That will take a long while, on top of afterwards being able to open up her mind to everything in her vicinity and sensing the feelings of all. I'm pretty sure there isn't enough time for that.

if she didn't, she wouldn't have been picked to coury the egg and she wouldn't be a master in magic.

because Eragon isn't a master at magic and he knows how to. She most likely knows. AND it would be crucial to keeping the egg safe.

no, but he will cuz Oromis doesn't have enough time to train a rider from scratch. Think of how long it took Brom to train Eragon, then add the time it has taken Oromis. That is longer than the time Oromis has left.
