 book 4 theories
hey guys i'm just interested to know what you think will be happening in book 4 based on events throughout the cycle so far.
for instance Galbatorix's defeat, will it happen? Who will end it? i know most of you are screaming to things now, 1: of course it's going to happen!! and i agree with you on that though there is a possibilty he may no die. 2:ERAGON will kill him of coures! in this i must dissagree. while eragon may strike the killing blow, i do not think he will do it alone, that is, he will only prevail because of another. Elva. now i know most of you are shouting that eragon performed the counterspell so how can Elva help? well if you remember, Eragon did not completely remove the "blessing", Elva can still sense what is going on but she can chose to ignore it. this coupled with the fact that Christopher devoted an entire 85 lines to explaining that Elva may be the only one capable of bringing about the downfall of Galbatorix leads me to believe that she will tell eragon how to kill him. Also, When Elvas is leaving the tent she explained that, in the future, she may be willing to help the varden of her own free will.
thats just one theory, there are plenty!! so come on guys lets see what we can do

 Re: book 4 theories
Eragon has gleadurs Eldunari now so he can take power from it and he will get stronger than galby and now he has the twelv elvs to help him and if anyone remembers in the begining of Brisingr when Eragon was about to kill the last Razak he said if you continue our songs and stories of our tourter we will tell you something whell he told eragon that galbytorix has almost figured out the true name i think it is going to be the word for the ancient languige and Eragon will bring oromis back to life with it because brom said it was a word of great power.
I also think that Angelas prophicy will come true and he will leave alagasiea but The first rider is still alive in the elvs home land and they will be his mentors along with oromis and gleadur
but galby is going to know whare he went because Murtag followed them so then old bones will go there and that is when Eragon is going to open the vault of souls and it will kill galby and Murtag and their dragons

 Re: book 4 theories
While very imaginative...thats not really based on what we know from the text, at least the last part.
Du Sundahvar freohr: I agree with your Elva theory, and have had similar thoughts on the matter. I think you'll find this interesting.
When Glader was explaining about the Eldunari, Eragon asked about breaking them, specifically, if a dragon confined to an Eldunari can use magic to break themselves out...It is Oromis who responds. "Not unless the inspiration should sweep over the Dragon and allow them to break their Eldunari from within. "(Brisngr p.634) Now, we know that the Eldunari are the key to both Murtagh and Galbatorix's power. We also know that the Eldunari exist by sensing the thoughts and feelings of those around them, which to a small extent we got to see when Gladers Eldunari contacted Eragon without his touch, managing to completely distract Eragon...
My idea is that Elva will provide the moment of weakness for the final blow, but only after Glader somehow 'inspires' the enslaved Eldunari to break free of their masters will. This will level the playing field and actually give Eragon a fighting chance, since he has the most of the physical abilities of an Elf.
Im also curious to see how the seven words Brom told Eragon will come into play, since they may prove to be a spell that Brom had been working on but had not yet finished.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking and it's actually the first on the list so I don't think that "I didn't see it" counts as a excuse (not trying to be mean, just pointing things out)

If Galb loses control of the Eldunari then his magic won't hold up and then his dragon could break free. also without all the magic to back him up, he might try to cast a spell and end up killing himself. that would be a pretty good ending i think, espescially if something comes up and Eragon, Saphira, and whoever else is with them, are disabled for a little bit.
