Good luck, both of you. Quasar said as the two flew off. She turned back to Equinox and said, Stay our here Equinox, I'm going to see if I can make any quick changes to our old battle plan. Quasar flew farther into the camp.

Equinox watched the two dragons go and laid on the ground. He wasn't in the best of moods right now, but didn't try to make it seem that way. He looked over at Mesaraih and watched him train than asked Do you also have the feeling that something bad is going to happen. Equinox wasn't sure if anything would, but he just had that feeling, or it was just the bad feeling of being rejected, but either way, he did have a bad feeling about something.

Dsurion flew downwards as they approached Crimson's fortress. The massive black stone building rose above them. It was still as ancient looking as when they found it, but it had been redone for war. Catapults were on it, and soldiers patrolled the grounds. Slaves were at working moving stone to erect a massive monument for Crimson. Soldiers where whipping away at the slaves, forcing them to work faster even if they died.
Crimson, we have arrived. We brought the battle plans, and a person named Reik has come along.
You, Galedrim, and Reik, meet me in front of the fortress. Crimson replied to Dsurion's mind.
Dsurion made a downwards slope to the front entrance, and Galedrim jumped off of him. "Stop here, Crimson will be out soon." said Galedrim. Dsurion saw a group of slaves miss handle a stone and it slipped from its pulley, he made space bend for the large stone to fall on them.

Crimson smirked when Dsurion told him it had been a suscess. He walked down the corridor of his fortress and to the exit. He couldn't wait, soon the green runt and his friends would be killed. He would remove a large stepping stone in his quest to conquer Alageasia, or at least the part of the land Galbatorix controlled. He said he was Galbatorix's ally, but really, he was using Galbatorix just to help destroy his enemies.
"What a tool." Crimson said to himself. He walked out the door and several soldiers that had gathered saluted him.
"Dsurion, Galedrim I am glad to see you made it fine with the battle plans. Riek, I'm glad to see you could make it. You will be a great help in this war." said Crimson.

Equinox nodded and replied I agree, I just have a bad feeling about all this. He looked over and to his surprise Savania flew down to them. He didn't see Tvashtar who left with her to scout the area.
Is everything ok? Where's your brother? asked Equinox.
Oh he's fine. I just grew board and came here. So how are you three? I take it Elcyon and Phal already left on the mission? Savania asked.
Equinox smirked and shook his head. He looked at Savania and shrugged. He was glad that she was able to enjoy her years as a hatchling. Most of his involved being chained and beaten almost to death on several occasions. I'm fine... he lied. It was an obvious lie, but he hoped Savania would just take what he said And yes, they did leave.

Crimson looked at the three again and smirked. They would help out a lot in this campaign. He looked to the sky and saw a few terrabirds making their routine patrols around the camp. A few cyborg humans were out, but he ordered them back inside the fortress. He didn't want any of his 'stocks' of 'savage war machine' seeable for now. He wanted to keep them as secret as possible, even from his own soldiers.
"Come with me, back in the fortress. We have plans for war to discuss. Once they fall all resistance will be crushed. We already have taken a few small elf city in the south west Du Weldernvarden." Crimson said. He turned into the fortress and walked inside with Dsurion and Galedrim following him. The inside was dark with a few candles lighting the ways. Movement could be heard as servants darted out of the way and bowed down to their masters. To the right and left sides of the door in front of them were mounted dragon heads. Both were of dragons Crimson had killed during the rider's fall alongside Galbatorix.

Mesaraih tried to follow his own advice, but the feelings of foreboding kept coming back to him no matter what he did.

Reik nodded and followed Crimson, still thinking about what would happen.

IC: Phal's eyes narrowed as she saw Crimson's attention drawn towards the window. Elcyon had been leaning dangerously close. Oh, no, you don't, the starry dragoness thought, already summoning a plan quickly in her mind. She concentrated on a ward that was around the castle directly, one Elcyon had not crossed. She manipulated the magic suddenly, and the ward flashed with multicolored lights so bright and flashing so quickly that they briefly stunned and blinded the group inside the room.

OOC: This is a bad time to suddenly develop epilepsy.

OOC: Aw, this is no fun! I was all ready for the listening of the plans!!! *pout* Ugh, now I have to improvise...

IC:

Elcyon hissed in frustration. How could they have known she was there? She had stayed perfectly hidden in the shadows! She looked high in the sky, nodded to Phalynx wherever she was and backed further into the shadows. They had gone through too much to just give up at this point in time. El was determined to find out more information despite the dangers. She wanted to help her family and her friends with everything she could.

OOC: Um... I think I'll wait a couple days, and then we can probably skip him indefinately until he speaks up.

OOC: Okay, I guess I'll go now. We can skip red till he comes back.

IC: Phal frowned, knowing her distraction had not lasted long enough. She had already begun her descent, but her concern was mounting every moment. Hang on, El, I'm coming to help! she cried into the dragon's mind. Her smooth scales cut through the air, but she was still not going fast enough. Anything could happen in a matter of seconds. Before Phal reached the group, she snapped open her wings, coming to a slower descent. She finally began to hover above them, and still out of sight for the evildoers. She knew she would have to cause a bit more mayhem than just flashing lights. She found one of the magical traps near the castle, one she had not destroyed, and moved it into the room with the others. She let it spring, and a few dozen arrows of ice sprang out of nowhere, hurtling towards all those assembled in the room. She knew there were too many for Dsurion to avert them all, and they would create a layer of ice on anything they hit.

OOC: Aaa! I know I know, been very busy. Sorry, I'll type now.

Elcyon let out one of her most deadly hisses she had ever forced from her throat. How dare you speak of my mother like that! she spat. You have no right to call her anything! She is far nobler than a murderer who slays the innocent! You call Equinox worthless…he has proved his worth to us over and over again! He is twice the person you ever were! Your hatred is unjust. And Dsurion, she added, a little more sadly, if you don't see the error of your ways, then I am forced to fight you.

She briefly looked up at Phal, nodded her thanks, and turned back to face her brother. My siblings will never fall by your claws. I’ll fight you to the death if I must. But you will never lay a paw on my siblings!

With that, El rushed up into the sky, quickly pulling off flying maneuvers she had practiced with Phalynx before they went into the mission. She only hoped she could avoid powers like Dsurion’s long enough to keep him away from the others so that they get a chance to escape or prepare for battle…whatever the case.

Equinox stood up, Savana and Tvashtar had been gone for too long. He looked around, but didn't see them coming. He knew it could take Phal and Elcyon a while, but Savania and Tvashtar were just supposed to do a single patrol and come back. He worried about them, ad also with everything that was happening, he just liad down. This is all a mess. he said to himself. He looked up and to his surprise saw to dragons flying towards him. Elcyon and Phal.
What? It can't be... no... At least you two escaped harm. he called out to Quasar with his mind to bring the others, his still didn't know where the two younger dragons were.
He looked up at Elcyon, trying not to remember what happened between them, instead, he addressed Phal first then her Did any of you see Savania or Tvashtar? They still haven't returned from their patrols.

Savania snarled as a group of ten terrabirds flew around her and her brother. There was metal, so she couldn't bend or contort any tokill the birds.
Leave us alone. You'll regret this. she demanded smoke flaring from her nostrils, but she was too young to breath fire.
"I'm sorry my young dragon, but our master wants you two... alive."
You'll have to take us out of the sky then. We don't surrender to swine. Savania snarled.
The terrabirds squawked in laughter, "Fine, attack, injure them, maimed them, but don't kill them."

Tvashtar snarled as the birds came in. He snapped at them, but they all turned away taunting them.
"Fight dragon, we know you want to. Or you afraid to right when your outnumbered?"
I will burn just like the oversized chickens you are. he said. They each laughed at him, but he did a deep inhale, all staring when a enormous plume of fire erupted from his mouth. It was so large it even sent him backwards a few feet. The birds scrambled, but surrounded them again, one was hit by the flame and crashed into the ground.

Equinox nodded to Elcyon and contacted Quasar through mind Quasar, I just got news from Phal and Elcyon. Crimson found out there were there, but the managed to weaken some of his magical enchantments. We need to get the troops ready.
Alright, I'll be there. Have Savania or Tvashtar shown up yet?
No... they haven't, but Phal said she is looking for them, and I think Elcyon is about to leave.
Quasar swore, I hope they're alright, the soldiers are coming.
Equinox broke constant and looked around, Be careful. he said to Elcyon and Phal. He hopped they didn't run into the same trouble as Savania and Tvashtar, and he hopped they were alright.

Quasar growled and looked at Eris Battle is ready, prepare yourself Eris in case you have to fight your brother.
Eris smirked and replied, "He's no brother of mine."
Quasar stared off into the distance, Does part of you wish he never betrayed us?
"I'm ashamed to say it Quasar... but yes. I wish he was still here."
Quasar wrapped her tail around her rider I do as well Eris. At least you and I are still here for each other.
Eris put his hand on his dragon's side, "Yes... at least we are."

Aaron stood in front of several of the foot soldiers, he was ready for battle. He looked at his sword and smirked, "This will thast the blood of several of Crimson minions'." he spat.

Ephidel led the cavalry, he would fight on foot once there, but he need to lead the cavalry for now, after all Aaron refused to ride a horse.

Klentear led the twenty or so terrabirds that were not with Crimson. They small in numbers, they made up for in skill.

Savania tracked the terrabird's movements, though both she and Tvashtar each killed one, she knew the bad situation they were in. She growled as one flew at her, and pecked her side. She clawed at it, pulling up a clump of bloody feathers.
"Surrender dragons." one terrabird said.
"Never." Savania spat.

Tvashtar struck the ground as two terrabirds gained up on him. One clung to his side and started to tear at his scales. He roared, and forced a fire barrier around himself. The two terrabirds squawked and broke off as their talons and lower body was signed.

OOC: I know, but the plot kinda rests on him, Astral. We need him to continue, so I don't think we can at the moment.

OOC: You can just say your charries were with the main armies and are now moving out with them.

OOC: You can post whenever you want, it doesn't matter. I don't think the others care either.

Without input from anyone else, as if a signal from the stars, Mesaraih and Fenirexes both knew it was time for the army to start moving. He looked around, but found that there was no leader to spur this movement on. He had never acted as any kind of leader for anything before. He really didn't know why, but even now, he didn't feel it was right for him to start mobilizing these forces. He climbed on Fenirexes' back and looked through the rank of soldiers. Finally, he found one with his sword drawn, looking down at it as if it held answers for something. Landing down next to him, Mesaraih said, "If you were told to become the leader of this army right now, would you know how to do it, generally?" The man looked at him for a long time, then slowly nodded. "Then get everyone organized to fight. We need to move out as soon as possible. If they ask you who gave you the authority, tell them to look up at the sky. You're now the leader of this army, and I trust that you can make the right decisions to lead us to victory." The man stared at him for a while longer, then started running towards the masses, having been slightly isolated. As Fenirexes flew up into the sky, he came to a conclusion for himself. He could be the most powerful person in an army, but he could never be its leader. He could ride out with them at the front or the top and be easily recognized as its icon of power, and act accordingly to that too, but he could never lead it. The authority of leadership was never something that could rest in his hands. He was simply the type of person who could come up with an idea for a group and organize everything in establishing, and then, at the end, when everyone started to ask him what next, he would tell them to ask the leader and assign someone else the authority. He had a hot, strong, and rebellious blood, but it was not the kind that would ever want to rule over others or make their decision. And upon realizing this, he felt as if something restrained inside of him seemed to open up and flourish, and although he knew now what it was, he felt sure that when an appropiate situation arose, he would know what it was and would be able to use it.

Telgor had managed to catch everyone's attention, and, as they all turned simultaneously upwards, they could see written in brilliant letters of fire, "The enemy is coming, and we must fight to live. Every one of you, as you fight, remember to keep alive your dreams and defend your honor."

From above, he could see how the army had started to get into formation at an admirable rate. As soon as they started marching forwards, Fenirexes flew lower until he was right above them. Mesaraih could feel the cool night air whip at his face and hair, and despite the knowledge that he was heading for what to many would seem a suicide battle, he could not help but enjoy the rush of wind. Slowly, adrenaline started pumping through his veins, and his eyes seemed to light on fire. Both him and Fenirexes seemed to emit a strange glow, and soon, the air behind them was trailing with fire. They were ready to fight.

IC: Savania roared in agreement with what Elcyon said. She watched as several wild animals darted out of the forest from her roar, it made her smirk in pleasure Crimson will regret the day he met us. she snarled. She darted off towards the camp with Phal, Elcyon, and Tvashtar. She knew something was coming, a large storm in the distance, ready to envelope them all.

Tvashtar let the flames reenvelop his body so he would appear to be just a flaming dragon, pure fire. He knew he would have to let it go so he wouldn't waste his strength for the battle, but still, he was ready. Ready to kill their enemies. Following the others, he checked the skies for more terrabirds, only seeing the ones that were on their side as they neared their camp. Good, we won't have to deal with those pestilent birds at least until we meet their army. he snarled, baring his gaping teeth.

Quasar glanced at Eris, she snarled, ready for the battle. Rider and dragon looked at each other, oddly, Eris felt even closer to Quasar than he ever had at this moment. He looked at his dragon and smiled.
"Quasar... do you think we'll win?"
She nodded, eyeing him oddly, Yes Eris, I do. The troops morals are high, and not to mention we have powerful warriors on our side. This seems familiar to me... this calm before the storm.
Eris put his hand on Quasar's side. He knew what she meant. This did seem like it was, their first battle, true battle anyway, during Galbatorix's slaughter of the riders.
"Are first battle since Throat Ripper died..." Eris muttered.
Quasar wrapped her tail around him and smiled, Then we shall fight as hard as ever little one. Throat Rip[i]per's memory will be remembered. His death will not go in vain.[/i] after a paused she said, Now, we must get ready to move out. Savania told me through mind contact they were on their way. Ah look, they come now. Quasar said, seeing four dragons in the distant heading towards them. Now, we should really get going soon. the copper dragon said impatiently and with her tail lifted Eris onto her back.
"I still hate flying." he said.
I know. Quasar laughed and flew up to where she saw another dragon above the army, Fenirexes and his rider Mesaraih, Are you two ready? she asked I'm glad you two got most of the army ready. Thanks for that. she said with a smile. She opened her mind out to touch Phal's, Elcyon's, Savania, and Tvashtar, Could you all come over here. All dragons and terrabirds are to fly above the army. she said. She looked over to see Equinox fly next to her and Fenirexes. Are you ready? she asked.
Equinox ignored her and grunted, What's wrong Equinox? she asked.
Nothing Quasar... he said.
Equinox, is it still,
I'm fine Quasar! he snarled and flew a bit away from her Stop treating me like a hatchling! I can take care of myself! he snapped at her. He was in another bad mood, but he didn't apologize to her. Oddly, every since they arrived Equinox had acted odd around her, Quasar noticed, but Equinox always snapped at her, Sorry, I'm just trying to help you. she said offended.
Well the next time I need your help I'll ask for it. he said rudely. He turned his head away from her, and Eris who was glaring at him.

Equinox shook his head at the two, they didn't understand how he felt, no matter how Quasar tried to make it seem like she did. She didn't have to worry about her mad rider trying to kill all her friends and family, and if his rider died he died too. Equinox shook his head, She knows nothing. he said to himself. Part of his bad mood was just that, he had no idea why he was in a bad mood, and that worsened his temper for not even knowing why.
Am I becoming more like my crazed rider? he asked himself sadly. She shook his head, he stared down at the soldiers, and at the group of four dragons, the terrabirds on their side had already arrived.
He glanced at Phal, Elcyon, Savania, and Tvashtar and said grumpily Glad you'll all ok. he turned away, the venom in his voice scared him What's happening to me? he said to himself. He felt a presence pulling at his mind, it seemed as if it was a part of him he left forgotten, as if it now was showing himself. He sniffed the air, and shivered It can't be... I've ignored it for this long... why is it showing now? he said to himself.

Klentear arrived with the other twenty or so terrabirds on their side. They flew above the army, and gathered around Quasar, and Fenirexes, "Ready yourselves, the fight starts here. We will show those traitors the punishment for treason, death." he told his fellow terrabirds. They each squawked in reply, a battle cry, though not at all like the ear splitting squawk. "The war is coming." he said.

Aaron went to the front of the ground forces, glad to see they had already assembled. He looked behind him at a soldier said, "Find whose ever responsible for readying all of you and thank him or her for me." he ordered.
"Yes sir!" the soldiers replied and did as ordered. Aaron gripped his sword, and waited for the command from Quasar to move out. His eyes sparkled at the thought of battle, "Finally to put an end to Crimson's madness." Aaron smirked.

Ephidel climbed on his horse, he would led the cavalry to battle, even though he was a foot soldier. He looked down at his bag, inside it was the magic seal. He had strict orders from both Quasar and Aaron to only use it when they absolutely had to. The seal would not discriminate, it would block both allied and enemy magic. He looked around at the cavalry, mostly elves and humans, the dwarves were generally foot soldiers, though there were a few dwarves in the cavalry, "Get ready! For soon we ride!" he shouted to them.

Crimson gave the order, the cyborg humans were taken out of their cages, each of them would serve him now, no matter how unwillingly. He did not care if they hated him, hated the outside world, they were his mind slaves, rather they liked it or not. Unlike his true human soldiers, and some elves, and the terrabirds, the cyborg human, and still a large amount of his elven and some human soldiers were his mind slaves. In the air, the terrabird flock was ready, they at least outnumbered Equinox's air power fifteen to one, at the very least. Though his ground forces were there, some were at other bases around his conquered territory.
He looked at both Galedrim and Dsurion, at his sides, "They should be moving soon. Have everything ready. For they will attack soon. And we will meet them head on. We have our own little surprise in store for them as well." he laughed. He snapped at Dsurion, "Ready the air force. Galedrim, ready the ground forces. Prepare the trap as well." he ordered.
Both bowed and did as ordered, "Equinox, you and your army will be marching to your deaths." he laughed, manically.

Galedrim went down into the fortress's depths. There was a small tunnel system that led relatively close to the ally camp. Once the battle begun, he would release the trap. The cyborg humans would attack them from behind. They reached out to him like mad men, as if they were crazed, and in fact, they were. Once taking over their minds, Crimson gave them a drug he and Galedrim, and Dsurion made. It made them much stronger, though they acted like beasts, as Crimson like what they truly would. After giving them their orders, Galedrim left, the command the ground soldiers. Up above, he saw Dsurion in the sky.

Dsurion rounded the terrabirds around him. They each were in groups, twenty terrabirds to a group, and they almost blocked out the son. Dsurion was at the led. Though the leaders of the enemy army knew he could contort space, he doubted they told the other soldiers, so it should be a surprise to him.
Elcyon, Savania, Tvashtar, you will regret not joining Lord Crimson. I will make you pay. Your scales will hang from the castle walls. And mother, I will make you pay for what you did to father. he said angrily to himself.

OOC: I don't know where red is, so I'm just going to go, sorry Red.

IC: Quasar flew in the lead of the army, and stared back at them all. A glint of hope, and family crossed her face. She considered many, if not all of their army as part of her family, some of them actually were. She looked towards where Elcyon, Savania, and Tvashtar were, and smiled, then looked at the rest of the army. Her face changed to sheer determination, and she gave a low, roar at them.
Everyone, it is time to go. We will avenge all those Crimson and his minions have killed! We will free the ones forced to serve him and his madness under mind control! We will rid the land of his evil! Let us fly and march to battle. For war again has gripped us, war comes, and it is time to fight, for our freedom, our lives, or friends, and our families! It is time, to avenge those who have fallen. It is time she gave a small paused in memory of Throat Ripper, and a small sigh about Scepter It is time! To make sure all of our comrades and friends who have died, have not fallen in vain! It is time for war!!!! she roared. Eris rose his arms in the air, and the humans, elves, and dwarves on the ground shouted their war cry. Equinox, Savania, and Tvashtar roared. Kleantear and the other terrabirds squawked in agreement with them.

It is time... we move out, and when we return, Crimson's head will be plastered on the end of a spear. Quasar growled, and led the army.
Eris looked down at the soldiers on the ground, and gripped his sword. He could feel Quasar's determination, and slight fear rolling through his emotions. The two let their mental barriers cross, so they could feel each other's minds.
Are you ready? Eris asked Quasar through mind contact.
No, but let's do this. We will win today Eris, I swear it. she said.
You sound confident.
Quasar snorted and replied, I have to for the soldiers sake. They can't see their general have fear. Besides, I am ready, I have fought many battles, and have fought this mad man countless times, I know what to expect. Be careful though Eris.
Aren't I always? Eris said, and patted Quasar on the side.

Equinox flew slightly behind Savania and Tvashtar and let Elcyon catch up to him. He still felt crabby, but wanted to talk with her. He still felt like something was prying at his mind, as if Crimson was for some odd reason trying to recontect his and Equinox's forgotten link.
He's trying to take over my mind. Why though?,,, Equinox asked himself.
He looked at Elcyon, and asked nervously Are you ready? He wasn't sure about asking her, not sure how she would act after their last conversation.

Aaron led the ground forces on foot. He had them seperate into their formations, the sound of hooves told him Ephidel and the cavalry had been readied. Aaron gripped his sword.
"I have a feeling this will be a tough fight... harder than any of them think." he said quietly, mostly to himself.

IC: Equinox nodded as Elcyon spoke, he felt a pit in his stomach, and it made him unable to reply at first. He was glad she was still talking with them though. Thanks Elcyon... he said quietly as she flew over to Quasar. I'll try and watch out for you on the battle field... he said softly. He looked towards the enemy army, he snarled loudly and looked over at all his friends. He hopped they would be alright, but he knew his job, to kill as many of Crimson's minions as possible. He looked over at Quasar as Elcyon arrived next to her. He and Eris met each other's minds.
Good luck. he said to both dragon and rider. He felt a presence attack his mind, but he ignored it, it felt oddly familiar though. He shook his head and cursed himself. He knew it couldn't be what he thought, just all the tension of battle rising in him, like an inferno, ready to explode, ready to tear apart every living thing in sight, like a war machine, like a crazed murderer. The sensation frightened him, he twisted around, to see if anyone noticed. He looked towards Phal, Elcyon, and Quasar, wondering if one of them could help him get the presence out of his mind.
What is wrong with me? he said desperately. He felt as it again jumped at his mind, trying to take control of him.

Quasar looked worryingly at Equinox, he was acting funny, he never acted like that before, he worried her, but she had more pressing issues at the moment. Are you alright? she asked him, but he ignored her... or was he? From what Quasar could tell, Equinox was fighting with his own mind. She shook her head and replied to herself Just what I need, Equinox to be going crazy right before a battle. Hold on Equinox... it won't be long.
She looked over as Elcyon flew next to her. She nudged her daughter slightly and said Be careful Elcyon. she said warmly. She looked over at Equinox and asked Do you know what's wrong with him? I couldn't get into his mind, he seemed to be fighting something trying to break in. she asked. She assumed she knew who it was, but she hopped, that she was wrong.

Eris let the dragons talk, he was too worried about Equinox, but he was more focused at the enemy lines, they were already advancing. He pulled out his sword and shouted to Fenirexes, "It doesn't look like we have a choice! Attack. Quasar, lead them on." he said to her.

Quasar jolted up when she heard Eris. She just saw the enemy approaching. Everyone attack! Bring me Crimson's head! This is for the freedom of Alagaesia!

Eris leaped off Quasar, and used magic to slowly lower himself in front of the advancing army. He looked over at Aaron was who next to him.
"Ready Aaron?"
Aaron smirked at Eris and replied arrogantly, "Of course, this battle's going to be child's play. Countless soldiers will lay dead at my blade."
Eris smiled at Aaron's remark, and charged forward as their front lines met Crimson's. The battle had begun.

Ephidel heard Quasar's orders through his mind, and charged the cavalry forward. He rode his horse into battle, and swatted at a man's head with his sword. He gripped the magic seal in his other hand, ready to use it if needed.

Savania heard the order, and charged into the front rank of enemy terra birds. One dove at her, and she darted out of the of the way, right into another one that slashed at her side. She growled, and clamped her teeth on its back, bathing it in molten silver. Angrily, and determined, she roared out Dsurion! Show yourself traitor! She plowed into another terra bird, claws, and feathers flying everywhere.

Tvashtar waited for his sisters, Phal, Equinox, the terra birds, and his mother to meet the enemies. He waited a few minutes, than charred into attack. He didn't like fighting much, but knew they had to now. He glared at an enemy terra bird, and surrounded himself in a shield of flames. He roared out, and a fiery wall flew towards several birds. Most dodged, but one was struck dead on, and its burning body crashed into the ground below.

Klentear rose into the air, and slammed right into an enemy terrabird. He squawked angrily at it, and started tearing at it with his beak. It was larger than him, but he was stronger with adrenalin pumping through his body. "Traitors of our kind! Black souls, evil joiners, you will parish for your treason.

Crimson observed the battle take place, and the front lines of both armies crash into each other. He grabbed his sword, and glanced at his two generals.
"Galedrim, Dsurion, ready for battle. We intervene, remember, wait until we spring the trap."
He watched Equinox fight a terrabird and smirked. Equinox had to know by now, as of now, Crimson was attacking his mind, trying to take control of the green runt. "You have caused me so much pain and trouble Equinox, but your sin will be atoned for. Once I have control of you, you will be forced to bear witness as I MAKE you kill you own friends and loved ones." Crimson said nastily, assaulting the dragon's mind again.
Crimson charged into battle, but intercepted a mind thought from the silver dragon... the younger one, Savavnia, as Dsurion said. An evil grin formed across his face and said to Dsurion, "Your sister cause you Dsurion. Why don't you go answer her call."

That I shall Lord Crimson. Dsurion replied. He roared loudly into the air, so the combatants on both sides would hear him. He took off into the sky, and angled towards his silver sister.
Do not worry Savania, I come. he said nastily. He spotted her fighting several terra birds, and contorting space, made it so the space between them was shorter, and he darted straight at Savania.

Galedrim gripped his sword, and watched Quasar fight from above. He saw Eris was not on her Now, now, now Quasar. Where is my worthless brother. he said to himself. He wanted to kill Eris just as he killed Throat Ripper. He felt as it made his betrayal more prominent, by the killing the once he once loves. He ran out into battle, and met another elf in combat. He jumped back from the elf and sliced at its legs. The two swords met, but he over powered the elf.
"Eris! Show yourself!" he said nastily.

Dsurion smirked as both Elcyon and Phal headed towards him. He saw the starry missiles Phal launched and smirked. He didn't dare bend them away, it would be a waste of strength, he dodged most, but one grazed his side. He flipped around and saw Phal head off again. Instead, he turned to his two sisters, Now now Elcyon, didn't mother teach you manners? Same goes with you Phal. Three against one is not fare. He dove at Elcyon, and bent the air around both of them. He made it seem like to her and Phal and Savania he would strike from the side, but he actually went under her. He focused hard to contort her scales, but was yet unable to contort a body, so he slashed at her.

Savania snarled at Dsurion as her teal brother attacked Elcyon. She dove at him, but oddly, when she should have made contact she slipped right where he was and almost crashed into the ground. She felt her cheeks grow deeper silver in embracement. Oopps... Phalynx, watch out, it's an illusion! she warned the other silver dragoness.

Tvashtar examined the fighting, than dove at a terrabird. His flame shield going strong and he plunged right into the over sized bird. It flapped its wings, but he made contact before it had a chance to blow him away with its wind gusts. Incinerating the bird, he flew away as it fell to the ground in a great fireball. Tvashtar flew towards another, but felt a sharp pain in his side. A large chunk of scales had been torn out by an archer. Roaring angrily, he let the flame shield engulf him, and he plunged into Crimson's lines of archers like a fiery meteror.

Klentear dove at an enemy terrabird, than quickly dove back. He called it lightning war, he struck at the large terrabirds, but before they had a chance to counter attack he quickly darted away. He dived bombed his next victim who had attacked several foot soldiers. The larger bird squawked, but Klentear grabbed its neck with his talons and snapped it.

Aaron went towards the ranks of enemy foot soldiers and continued to fight. He had a bad feeling about this. Something just seemed out of place to him. He stabbed an enemy through the chest and watched a spear strike an elf next to him. He picked up the spear, and threw it right through its original wealder.

Ephidel led his cavalry deeper into the enemy lines. They had managed to hold their lines, and enemy magic users were wrecking havoc on them. He gripped the magic seal, but still did not use it. He had to wait until things were bad enough to require it. His horse galloped forward, and he sliced at an enemy on the ground. He horse bayed, and he flew off backwards as several pikes pierced his horses neck. To his horror, an enemy soldier picked up the magic seal. The soldier did not use it, but ran off with it. Ephidel was in close pursuit.

Quasar was about to answer Elcyon, but saw her go off to battle Be safe Elcyon. Quasar said. The great copper dragoness flew at the enemy ranks of terrabirds. Her scales glittering in the sunlight as she flew on. It seemed all to real to her. Remaining her of her first battle. She was one of the few dragons, and much smaller than she was now. Just as then, she could sense the fear of her in her enemies eyes as she dove at them. They feared fighting the great copper dragon.
Quasar forced a terrabird, though larger than her, to the ground. She bathed it in coppery fire, than finished it off. Lifting up into the air, she grabbed several of Crimson's soldiers and tossed them into the air so they would slam against the ground. She hated war, but she knew it was necessary. If Quasar could have it her way, she would just kill Crimson, he was the main cause behind the suffering at this battle field. She looked down as Eris and Galedrim started to fight.
Be safe Eris. Quasar said to her rider.

Eris heard Galedrim call his name. Just like an echoing word, he relayed the message until the two found each other. Eris and Galedrim glared at each other, both identically other than Eris having human ears and Galedrim having elf ears. Both tore out their swords and glared at each other.
"Galedrim... you will regret betraying us. I've waited for this day. I will avenge Throat Ripper's death."
A wide smile formed on Galedrim's lips. "Eris, my brother, perpare to die. I will kill you just like I killed him."
"Galedrim... I pity you." Eris said to his brother.

Galedrim laughed at Eris' foolishness. How pitiful Eris was to Galedrim. He was too weak, too weak to no how good being on Crimson side, the side of power and evil was.
"Enough talk fool! Eris, I challenge you just as I challenged Throat Ripper. I fight to the death."
"Fine, I accept your demands. Say it in the Ancient Language Galedrim." Eris ordered.
Smirking, Galedrim leaped at his brother. They crossed swords in mid=air and slashed at the other. Both countered and matched the other. They knew each others moves well from training, and for years being conjoined. Though Galedrim had the speed of an elf, Eris had a reason worth fighting for, and Quasar's help.

Equinox soared in the air, he fired down bolt after bolt of lightning down at his enemy. A great burst of lightning came from his maw, and it struck a terrabird head on. It collapsed down, singed like roast chicken. Equinox dove at another, but felt something attack his mind. He struggled in the air with himself as someone tried to take his mind. CRIMSON! he roared angrily and worriedly. He had the urge to fight and kill, but not the enemy... is own allies.
Get out of my mind Crimson! he demanded.
You finally figured out? I was wondering if you would Equinox. Now Equinox, who would you like to watch yourself kill first?
LEAVE MY MIND! I will not!... I will obey... I will obey... No I... I will obey. Obeying obeying I will... obey. Equinox's eyes bulged, he felt Crimson taking control of him. He tried to scream for help, but he couldn't.
Now Equinox. That I have you under my control. Who should I have you kill first. Ah... Dsurion needs some help. Get Phal, she is the strongest and the greatest threat of the three fighting him. Crimson ordered.
Equinox tried to fight back, but he couldn't, it was too hard. He could not fight back. He felt pain tear through his whole body as he tried to fight back... Yes master. Crimson's cold laugh ran through his mind.

Equinox's eyes glowed red from Crimson's control. He targeted out Phal. The one causing Dsurion the most trouble. He positioned himself right over her, and blasted a bolt of lightning right at her.

Crimson finished his control of Equinox. He doubted Equinox would kill Phal, but he wanted him to at least injure her, and for her to kill him. Crimson wanted Equinox to attacked Elcyon, but he knew Equinox would break control then. Crimson had to weak of a control over Equinox's mind. But once it was stronger, Equinox would change targets.
Once control of the green dragon was done, Crimson turned to the battle field. He wanted to fulfill his promise to Equinox, to kill off his friends.
He ran forward, and saw a soldier run up to him holding a seal, "Sir, its the magic seal. I stole it from the man named Ephidel."
"Perfect, take it to the stronghold. It will come in use later."
"Yes sir."
Crimson went to where the man came from to confront Ephidel, and kill him. Before he could, several soldiers were in his way. Crimson smirked at them and started to fight them.

Equinox snarled as Elcyon flew down to try and protect Phal. Move away Elcyon. Or I'll skin you slaughter you just like I will slaughter Phal. He growled evilly. He was not used to the growl on him. The small part of his mind that remained in control recoiled at that.
Elcyon! Phal! No... get away from me! Equinox roared half trying to kill them, half trying not to. That small recoil, and Elcyon trying to help him played with his mind, weakening Crimson's control, just slightly enough for his real self to expose himself.
Get away.. I can't... I can't hold on Elcyon... Kill... his head snapped back and a stream of fire erupted from his mouth straight up and he raored deafiningly.
I... will... KILL YOU! He fired a second lightning bold at Phal and dove at Elcyon and snapped at her neck. At the last second Equinox made a small recoil as he tried to regain himself.
No... I won't hurt her...

"Futile dragon." Crimson said to himself. He laughed at Equinox's attempts to get free. Even with Phal and Elcyon, he was determined to not let the green runt escape his control. He had other plans for Equinox.
Surveying the battle field, Crimson launched a massive fire ball into the rank of enemy soldiers. It blew up and body parts went flying. He absorbed power from the grass and trees around them until they wilted and made a small tornado appear to suck up any enemy -land or air- near it and send them flying.
After the miniature gale was formed he said to Elcyon and Phal Do you really think you can free him? You don't what you're getting into dragons. This land will be mine. I will control it, and finish Galbatorix's job. I will wipe out every last dragon on this world.

Quasar nearly avoided the small tornadoes. It made her go or course and she collided with a large terra bird. In a rage she chomped on its back and before it go minister its ear piercing squawk she snapped its spinal column. With a huge roar she plunged into the rank of enemy archers and swatted, snapped, and breathed fire at them. The ancient copper dragon was too much for them, many new recruits. She had fought for hundreds of years, and many forms of fighting. She was no match for them. A few terra birds joined her in the assault and started to wear away at the lines of archers, hoping to break their ranks. She heard several roars behind her and looked back, surprised to see Equinox attacking Elcyon and Phal.
No... Crimson you monster! she snarled to herself. After biting to torso off another archer she flew up, and surveyed the battle, looking from Crimson.

Eris yelped as Galedrim's sword grazed his chest. He felt blood pool in his armor as the blade cracked the steel plate. He thought at least one; maybe two of his ribs had broken. He shielded his mind as best he could, to keep Quasar from feeling his pain.
"Are you about to call the rusty old lizard to help Eris? Are you that much or a coward. Come on! Fight me!" Galedrim taunted.
Eris knew he was outmatched by his brother. Galedrim was stronger, had a better technice, but Eris had determination on his side. Standing up he took his sword and with more fury than Galedrim could imagine leapt at his brother. Galedrim just had time to black Eris' sword from a fatal wound, but the sword slightly grazed his neck.
"You have it in you brother. Rage, anger, hate, you most learn to control it, be more like me. Join me brother. Join me or die."
Eris glared at his brother as the two locked swords.
"Only when hell freezes over." he spat.

I pity you. Dsurion smirked to Fenirexes. As the fire went towards him, he contorted the space so the flame double backed on itself, vanishing in the air. He flew towards the red dragon, his wings flapping towards him. You will be my first dragon kill. Dsurion said to Fenirexes. He dove at him, his claws out stretched.

Equinox hissed as Phal tried to fly above him. But with Elcyon in front of him he had to worry about her now. No... he shouldn't attack them, he shouldn't. He kept fighting with himself, but Crimson was over whelming him.
Elcyon... he gasped. He roared, though he wasn't sure if it was at her, or Crimson. He mind was so confused. I will obey... obeying oberying I will obey. he chanted. He readided a lightning blast at Elcyon, but at the last second shot it down at the enemies below.
He tried to do as she said, he could still here her in his mind, though it was a faint murmur, he could still hear her voice. No... I will not obey you... Equinox said. He felt a surge in his mind as Crimson tried to regain lost ground.
Elcyon... kill me. Kill me before he makes me hurt someone. Equinox said, almost pleading.

Quasar saw Elcyon, Equinox, and Phal to her surprise. She flew over to help them, but she could tell something was wrong; Crimson had Equinox under his control. She growled and flew over to help Elcyon and Phal. Crimson may be strong, but she doubted he could resist three dragons trying to force him out of the mind of another.
Equinox, listen to her. Quasar commanded sternly, but kindly, You are strong Equinox, you can escape his control. Please, listen to us.
Quasar... please... kill me if Elcyon won't.
No! I will not kill you Equinox. Crimson! I know you can hear me, let Equinox go. she ordered, growling lowly, and threateningly.

Galedrim kicked Eris's legs out from under him, but he caught the ground with his arm, and rolled away from his brother. He jumped behind him and sliced at his back, but Galedrim blocked the sword. He sneered at Eris who jumped at him and clashed their swords together. If he couldn't defeat Galedrim sword to sword, he would try to knock the sword out of his hand.
"Eris, you can't defeat me." Eris made another lunged at Galedrim, and he jumped away from his brother and punched him in the back sending him crashing to the ground.
Galedrim pointed his sword at Eris' throat, "Surrender, or die."
"I will do neither traitor." Eris spat and knocked Galedrim's sword away with his and jumped up.

Crimson surveyed the battle again by seeing through the mind of his soldiers on ground and in the air. They were losing ground, but not by much. He knew just how to break the enemy's lines. But first, he had to deal with Equinox, and make sure he was firmly under his control. He could feel the bonds around the dragon's mind weakening as he fought against him.
He fights well, better than I thought. But not well enough. Crimson said to himself. He felt someone speaking to him, Quasar. Make me Quasar. You are no match for me. Come, fight me if you wish you coward. he spat at her and closed his mind to her.
He waited for a moment, than raised his hand and blasted three black energy balls into the air. It was the signal to call their reinforcements.

From behind the battle thousands upon thousands of cyborg humans charged the rear flank of the army. Slower than humans, but had arms made of metal. So hard they could crush armor and bones. Even break through dragon scales after a few hits. They didn't need to wear armor since their bones were three times harder than that of humans, and four times as sturdy.
Attack them, kill them all and you will get your freedom. Crimson told them. They yelled, raising their metal arms and charged into the the battle.

Dsurion flew straight at Fenirexes, than at the last second contorted the space around him. Fenirexes would still see him headed stright for him, but he changed the air current around himself to strike at the dragon's side.

Elcyon... thank you. He said. He roared out as Crimson tried to force his way though Equinox's mind. He shook his head violently as he heard a cold voice say into him If I can't take control of him, I will kill him before you manage to free him. Crimson said to Elcyon from Equinox. Equinox struggled with Crimson when he felt a shield of sorts swirl around him. He felt the barrier Elcyon put up to help him fight against Crimson.
He shook violently as Crimson tried to tear through the barrier and Equinox. He coughed up a large chunk of blood onto the ground below. For a second his eyes rolled up in his head and he fell a few feet, but regained his strength.
I can... I can feel it. I think... I think we're winning against him Elcyon! Equinox said. He dove into his own mind to rid himself of Crimson. He found a strange part it glowed in the conscious of his mind. It was the part that connected him to Crimson for being rider and dragon. He could feel it now that he met it. Though so small and hidden in his conscious, he could now feel it. If only it can be destroyed. he said to himself.

Quasar watched Phal fly off to find Crimson. She quickly checked Equinox's mind, and saw he and Elcyon were putting up a strong fight against Crimson Good luck you two. she said. Soaring into the air, the great copper dragon descended down onto a un suspecting terra bird. It flapped upside down and beat its massive wings against her, but she chewed, clawed, and blasted fire at the bird. Once finished, she glared around the battle field. She could feel her bond with Eris, he was injured, he needed help. Snarling, she looked for Galedrim until she found him fighting Eris. With a roar, she descended downwards, ready to strike the traitor down.

Eris smashed against the ground as Galedrim blasted a gust of wind against him. He tried to block Galedrim's mind from magic, but the bond between them which connected to Quasar had long been severed. "Bind his body!" Eris shouted in the Ancient Language.
Galedrim froze as he readied to strike off Eris' head. Eris tried to stand up, but a torrent of pain rushed through his right leg, and torso. He collapsed and heard a snap he thought one of his ribs had broken off, giving him three broken ribs at least.
"Now, now, now Eris, haven't I told you not to play with magic?" Eris glared at his brother, Galedrim only sneered, "Weaken what binds me!" he shouted in the Ancient Language. Eris didn't bother trying to hold on, he was weak.
"Any last words Eris?"
Eris smirked and replied, "Do your worst brother. I will not bow my head to you." he panted.
Galedrim made to remove his head when a great roar and a plume of fire descended down on him. He jutted his hand up and the fire spread as if it hit a shield. Quasar knocked him away with her tail, and stood in front of Eris. She snarled at Galedrim, showing her razor sharp teeth.
"Ah Quasar, nice to see you?" Galedrim said.
Try me Galedrim. she snarled You have no hope against me.
Galedrim examined Quasar and smiled "Now Quasar, let's not get too ahead of our selves. Remember, I did kill-"
Before Galedrim could finish, Quasar roared into his face, glaring at him Don't bring up Throat Ripper! He will be avenged! Galedrim... your time here ends.
"A pity Quasar, I hoped you at least showed some sense." Galedrim replied.

Crimson could feel his control over Equinox weaken. All he had left was the small shred that remained of his and Equinox's mental link. He smirked, he hoped they found a way t break it Come on Equinox, break it? You know you want to? I thought you hated me? Crimson laughed at Equinox's hesitation. He knew the dragon knew the consequences, if the link between them was broke, Equinox would die, but he doubted Elcyon knew that.
He ended his communication with Equinox, and contacted her. Hoping to lead her on. He wanted her to kill Equinox, or at least get herself killed in the attempt, Elcyon, who do you persist? Equinox is nothing, just a fool. Come now Elcyon, stop this. he said in a taunting voice I will kill you anyway. All of you. Your hides will hang from my castle walls! This land will be mind!
Crimson observed the sky, watching the black and green dragon closely. It was then he noticed a glint of silver move. It was either one of two dragons. He doubted Savania she would be more interested in the cyborg humans. He smirked, Phal Come here Phal, dragoness of the stars. You want to fight me do you now? he said into the air, hoping she would here.

Dsurion halted before he struck into Fenirexes. He glared at the flaming dragon, but only smirked So you did learn? You are smarter than I thought you were. Dsurion taunted. Fine, let us fight fire with fire. Dsurion said, he didn't think it would have any affect if Fenirexes was on fire already, but it would give him time to plan his attack. He blasted fire, and bent the air so it would seem like an inferno headed towards the red dragon. As it went, Dsurion targeted a small pond. It would greatly weaken him, but it was worth the shot. He contorted the air around the water to have it fall right where the enemy dragon was, but it only made it a few feet. Damn it! Still not strong enough. Dsurion growled angrily to himself.

Aaron spotted the cyborg humans. An expression that to some may resemble regret formed on his face. As much as he hated saying it, he didn't want to kill the cyborg humans.
"Damn you Crimson. You will pay for this." Aaron said to himself. He faced the enemy reinforcements. And charged into him. With the dragon blood in him, he rivaled their strength. He slashed his sword at a cyborg human, it blocked it with its arm making a loud metallic cling, but his sword drove deep into it. He pulled it out, and struck at another enemy soldier. He jumped up with the speed and grace of an elf, but as he landed, a large arm smashed into him, sending him crashing to the ground. He got up and snarled at them.
"Heh, what irony, the one who tried to free you must now kill you." Aaron said to them.

Ephidel clung onto the magic seal. He finally got it back. He looked around he wasn't sure about using it now that enemy reinforcements have arrived. He watched in sorrow as the cyborg humans advanced. He and Aaron were the only ones on the battle field who understood them. He jumped away as an enemy ran past him on a horse. As the man turned back, he charged at him. Ephidel jumped out of the way, and threw his sword at the man. It struck, and he collapsed off his horse. Ephidel ripped out his sword and climbed onto the horse, heading towards the cyborg humans. He stared at them and watched the fighting.
Using his mind to shout out he said Cyborg humans! Join us! Join us and we will set you free!
As he expected, no reply. None of them would want to join the outside world after they were abused and enslaved. The nicest thing I can do for you is end your misery. Forgive us Cyborg humans, we have failed. Ephidel said to himself.

Klentear flew at an enemy. He forced it to the ground, and did a squawk it was quit though so it would only affect that one bird, not his allies also. It screeched out in pain, and he dove into it, finishing it off.

Tvashtar slammed into a terra bird, his burning body sent the streaking monstrous bird to the ground. He rose back up, and the flaming shield vanished. Growling, Tvashtar looked for his next victim.

Savania grabbed an archer with his claws, and crushed him between them. She blasted metallic silver onto the enemy ranks as the spread out, shrieking from the pain. It was then she noticed the call of enemy reinforcements. She flew up, and saw the cyborg humans. She snorted, amused This should be fun. Crimson will know not to use metal soldiers while I'm here.
She flew towards the cyborg humans and stretched out her wings. Her whole body begun to glow silver. She stared down as the cyborg humans hit the back of their army's lines. She struck down like a silver missile, and several hundred screamed out as the metal in them burned. He then tossed her head, and several cyborg humans lunged oddly as she controlled the metal in their arms.

Crimson saw Phal dive down towards him. He just had time to form a shield of earth around him, but the blast broke the shield and he smashed against the ground. He jumped up, cursing angrily. He glared at Phal's direction, paying no attention to his pain from the impact.
"Not bad Phalynx, not bad at all. You will make an excellent slave. It seems Equinox is a lost cause. He'll die no doubt. He can't live. But while Elcyon is focused with him, you will be at my merci." he spat and lunged into her mind, trying to force his way though her defenses. Her mind would be harder to break than Equinox's. Phal didn't have the connection of rider in dragon in her, plus she didn't have a tragic past as Equinox had which made it even easier to breech the green dragon's mind.
Crimson stabbed at Phal with his mind. He worked at the weaker areas while putting a burning sensation at the stronger sections.
Bear in mind Phalynx, only one has escaped my mind control, and he serves me now. Equinox and others only have with help. But look around, the dragons and magic users are occupied. he sneered.

Equinox winced when he felt Crimson's presence leave him. He stared in shock, he couldn't control his body well. He tried to fly, but his wings buckled, he just had time to see Elcyon fall until he collapsed, just managing to roll away from her.
Elcyon... are you alright? he asked.
Equinox searched the depths of his own mind and with a jolt realized what went wrong. It frightened him, he jerked his head and smacked against the ground from the reflex of his fright. Where the bond between dragon and rider was still there, a long deep scratch ran down it. He would die, slowly, if he could not be saved. He felt his joints weakening and he could no longer control his legs.
Elcyon... take my strength. You... must live. he said. He knew he would have some time at least, if he survived the battle. But how long? A week? Two? He did not know. All he could do was stare at Elcyon, and try not to let tears shed. He knew she was dying to. There was only one thing he could do to spare both of them. Join Crimson and hope Crimson would at least let Elcyon live. Reaching out with his mind to contact Crimson he felt a wall blocking him. Crimson had invaded another mind and was not allowing Equinox in. He focused back on Elcyon I'm sorry I put you through this. he said.

Quasar roared angrily at Galedrim. So loud several of the nearby soldiers stared at her, both friend and foe. She glared at them and was ready to lunged at Galedrim when a sight caught her eyes. Both Elcyon and Equinox fell from the sky. She winced at the sight. Her friend, and her daughter collapsing as if fatally wounded. Without warning Eris she took of into the sky and flew as fast as she could towards the two. She landed down heavily making Eris grunt.
Elcyon... Equinox... I'm so sorry I couldn't be here sooner. Quasar said, nudging the two gently.
Eris managed to slid down from Quasar and put his head against her food. He stared at Equinox, but was to tired and injured to say anything. Quasar looked at him worryingly, and back to the two young dragons.
Quasar...
The faintness of Equinox's voice made her heart beat run. It pained her to hear the dragon she considered a younger brother, maybe even a sun, to sound so horse.
Yes Equinox? she said kindly.
I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused you.
What?!
Quasar this has to end. I can't let Elcyon die. Eris is injured and can't heal her. I have to join Crimson, in hopes he may spare her.
Quasar glared at Equinox, pity and understanding formed in her face. She knew what it was like to do anything for the one you loved. She didn't do it persay, but witnessed Skeptar sacrifice himself for her. No. You can't do that Equinox. That's just what he wants. Do you really think he'll spare Elcyon? He hates dragons, and if she won't serve him he'll break her, or kill her. she didn't raise her voice when talking to him. She flinched when she looked at her daughter, and pain swarmed over Quasar at seeing Elcyon like that.
Quasar walked up to Elcyon and nuzzled her, she wasn't sure which one was worse off, but she hopped both would live. Elcyon, forgive me, I have been a horrible mother. But there is one thing I can do. I will kill the man who is responsible for this. Quasar said. Eris stared at her, trying to get up, but she snarled at him You are too injured Eris. Stay here with these two. I'll be fine. she said and flew off. She knew the only way to save Equinox was to sever the bond between rider and dragon. It was damaged and killing Equinox, but she knew one way that might be able to spare him, but if she was wrong more than one life would be lost.
Eris stared after Quasar mumbling the words I love you to Quasar.
And I you little one. she replied to her rider.

Ephidel fingered the magic seal in his hand. He was debating to use it or not. The cyborg humans were being destroyed mostly in part of Savania contorting the metal in them. If he activated it now, she wouldn't be able to bend the metal. Let alone all other magic users on their side would be barred from using magic as long as the seal remained activated. On the other hand, it would prevent Crimson and Dsurion from using magic. Crimson could still attack minds, but it would be more difficult for him if he couldn't use magic. Not to mention Crimson's magic users, plus the terra birds, there abilities stemmed from magic.
"Running out of ideas human?" a rough voice asked him. He whipped around and just had time to stop a metal arm from crushing his skull. He jumped back as the cyborg human lunged at him.
"The silver dragon will be nothing without magic." it taunted him. "Give it to me and I will spare your life."
Ephidel watch the cyborg human, trying not to let regret and pain over flow him. He knew how much they hated the outside world, for enslaving them. He could understand its want to hill him. He would to is strange creatures beat him constantly and forced him to do as they say.
"Cyborg human, I want to help you."
"That's what they all say!" it spat, cutting him off. "We were offered freedom, we took it, and were betrayed. We may have to serve Crimson now," the cyborg human said Crimson with much hate in his voice, "but we can still kill as many as you oath breakers and traitors as we can."
"I'm sorry. We meant to help you. It is my deepest regret that Aaron and I failed to free you." Ephidel said quietly. He hardly noticed an iron hard grip on his neck which threw him several feet away. He tried holding onto the magic seal, but it escaped his fingers.
"Finally," the second cybrog human replied, a female, "now this is in our hands." she picked up the magic seal and smirked in Ephidel's direction. "Magic seal activate!" she shouted in the ancient language.

The seal shot up into the air, one hundred feet rotated one hundred times a second. Black specs shot out from the sides and formed the perimeter around the battlefield. One hundred feet from each direction of the battle to where the seal hovered was shrouded in a dark purple light, halting the flow of magic inside its boundaries.

Dsurion snarled at Fenirexes. He had an idea, but it would be difficult to complete. He dove up and flew above the red dragon. Using magic he contorted the flames around his body to make a brake in the flames exposing scales. It was tricky work, he had to make sure he didn't bend the dragon's scales, if he did, the contorting would fail. As far as he knew it was impossible to bend scales or skin. When the bit of scales was exposed he meant air to make his angle of attack seem different. He dove towards Dsurion when a dark purple light shrouded the battle field. To flame around Fenirexes vanished, but so did his contorting, it was such a surprise Dsurion missed smacking into the red dragon. What? he snarled angrily No! The magic seal. the teal dragon cursed.

Crimson flinched when Phal opened up the light of her mind. He made him want to pull back into the safety of his own mind, but he refused. He would not give in. He would not surrender to her. He recoiled slightly to make her think he planned on retreating, then stabbed at the inner part of her mind with a knife of his mental barrier. He focused all his energy on tearing her mind, and if not that, at least causing so much pain she'd recoil even further than he did with the blinding light. Stabbing into her mind he sneered, he would win, he could not loose. He would just have to draw on Equinox's energy from the link between the two. Even if it killed Equinox, Phal would be under his control. Still stabbing, he reached deep into his own mind to the forgotten link of rider and dragon. He could feel Equinox lying on the ground. Equinox's pain powered Crimson even more. He felt more powerful when seeing his dragon dying. He supposed for other riders it would be for the dragon in pain, but for him, it was like watching one you hated die in front of you. He started draining Equinox's energy, and using it to combat Phal.
He felt Equinox's remaining strength start to drain into him. Using Equinox's strength, he reinforced his attack on Phal's mind. Surrender Phal. he taunted, making his voice come from every corner of her mind You know you want to. You can't beat me. Surrender, it's not worth it. You will escape pain. If you surrender, you will escape this pain. he said to her ever more draining Equinox's remaining strength.

Equinox looked at Elcyon, tears streamed from his eyes as he watched her start to slip away. He forgot about his own pain in his legs, wings, and side. He looked at Elcyon, as a large tear dripped from his eyes Elcyon, I will stay with you. I will... I will not let you die Elcyon. he said looking at her I will fight. I will fight against Crimson. I won't let you down Elcyon, my love. Equinox said to her. He stared up, he thought he could see Phal in the distance, but he was too weak to fly or even get up. Looking at both Elcyon and Eris in pain invigorated him. He jumped back into his own mind, to fight Crimson. I will not let you down. You will live Elcyon. he said.
To his shock, he felt something draining inside him. Going through his mind he found the connection of rider and dragon in him. If you won't join, than you will die. he heard Crimson's cold voice eco thought his mind. He flinched almost out of his mind as Crimson started draining his strength and energy from his body and mind. It all went to the link and travled from it to Crimson. With all his fury, Equinox tried to halt the transportation that took his energy to his evil rider. He could feel his mind slipping, he was too weak, Crimson would kill him No! I will... I will fight him... Equinox said to himself.

Thank you Elcyon. Quasar replied to her daughter. She branched out her mind to touch Elcyon's, Savania's, and Tvashtar's You three. I wish I could have seen you the day you hatched and protected you and helped guide you. I am proud to see what great dragons you have turned into.
Mother, are you ok? Tvashtar asked, not caring the message reached his siblings.
Giving a small rumble off affection to her son Quasar replied I love all three of you. Please, survive this war. For me... and your father. It wasn't his fault he was controlled by Crimson. Quasar tried to contact Dsurion, but he blocked her.
You'll live through his too. We all will. said Savania.
Savania... I hope you are right. Now, I'm sorry, but I must go. Equinox needs my help. Savania, Tvashtar, stop fighting the enemy. Go to your sister and defend her, Eris, and Equinox. The three are badly injured. she said and left Elcyon's, Savania's, and Tvashtar's mind.
Quasar was unaware of a small part of her mind still touching Equinox's mind. She nearily fell out of the sky with the intense roar of pain that erupted from him. She could barily keep the pain from going into her own body, but she could not pull out of Equinox.
QUASAR! GET OUT! HE'LL DRAIN YOUR LIFE TOO! Quasar recoiled by the sound of Equinox's voice. She could tell he was in great pain. How he managed that roar with how weak he was she didn't know.
Equinox?! What's happening? Are you alright? she demanded.
Crimson! He's using my strength to fight Phal and over power her! Don't worry about me! Help her! he shouted, trying to force Quasar out of his mind.
No. Keep fighting him Equinox. Stay strong. I will help you if I can. And Phal. She added I hope at the end, but didn't let Equinox hear that.
How will you do that? he gasped, weakening.
Just keep fighting him. And whatever I do. Equinox. Equinox! EQUINOX!!!!! Quasar swore, tears coming from her eyes, but she wouldn't let that affect her. She couldn't feel Equinox any more. He was still alive, but barely. Just clinging onto life which Crimson absorbed through the link. Rage and anger overwhelmed her. She realized the only reason why Equinox was still alive was that she was in his mind. She quickly gave him more strength. Even if Crimson absorbed it, it would keep him alive for now.
Quasar blocked out Savania and Eris who tried to contact her and directed herself towards Phal and Crimson. With a roar that rose birds from the tree, she dove at the and angled for Crimson.

Ephidel glared at the female cyborg human. He pitied her, but still felt anger at what she did. None of their allies could use magic. He reached out for Equinox's mind and his other friends but felt several of them injured. They couldn't be healed as long as the seal remained in place. Angrily, he glared at her, she only smirked.
"Why won't you believe me! I want to help you." Ephidel demanded.
She smirked, holding her arm in a threatening position. Though the normal size of a human arm, he knew it was all metal.
"Why should I believe you?" she spat "Look at what we are in now? He enslaved us!" she readied to lunge at him. He gripped his sword. He didn't want to fight her, not when she and the other cyborg humans were being controled.
"Why did you join him?"
"You think we joined him! We were enslaved-"
"I wanted to set your people free!" Ephidel retorted, "We tried and failed. And for that I'm sorry. We aren't all like Crimson. Join us... join us and we will set you free!"
She smirked at him, "No. If we win this Crimson promised us freedom-"
"You believe that!"
She smirked and replied, "He set it in the ancient language."
"What?!"
She smiled at him, "He did. I was surprised."
"Are you sure it was Crimson?"
"No, but I do know one thing. I want as many of you monsters dead!"
"I don't want to fight you!" Before Ephidel could say another word she attacked. He barely blocked her metal arm with his sword. He felt the blade start to bend under the pressure and he jumped back. He jumped around her and swung, but she blocked him again. He looked around and had an idea. When she jumped at him, he dodged to the side and struck at her. She jumped up and when she slammed down with her arm, he jumped away and kicked her in the side. He cringed as his foot hit her ribs. They were human bone, not metal, only one of their arms was metal. He felt her ribs crack under his foot. She snarled and sung back, smacking him in the face with her metal arm. Blood gushed from his nose and lips, but he only grimaced. She stood up, but he jumped at her and grabbed her metal arm and bent it in a way it was hard for her to move it. He grabbed his sword and put it to her neck.
"Give me the seal." he ordered.
"Kill me." she replied.
He gripped sword, but did nothing. He couldn't kill her. Not when she was being controlled.
He slipped his arm around her and felt for the seal and took it. "Fine. If you won't surrender that makes you a prisoner of war."
She smirked, "You don't have the guts to kill me? Fine, do your worst."
"How much do I have to tell you. We aren't like them." Ephidel said quietly. He doubted she, or any other cyborg human would believe.

Dsurion glared at Fenirexes he looked all confident on the outside, but on the inside, Dsurion knew he would be out matched by the red dragon. He hadn't practiced much without space bending. Some yes, but much know. Still, this should give him some good practice.
I am no coward. I challenge you. he said, and made a swooping dive at Fenirexes.

Crimson jerked as the mental images from Phal hit him. He flinched back, fighting to regain himself. He went back to his and Equinox's link. Fool. You do not understand it do you? he said to Phal Equinox will suffer in his last seconds of life. he said. He guided the images Phal sent him towards his and Equinox's mental link. Making a two way connection, energy filled Crimson, while pain filled Equinox. With that, he lunged again at Phal's mind, to break her control over it. He stabbed at one part, pulled back, then stabbed at another, to try and weaken her mental strength and hopefully her morale. If only he could use magic. He could flood her mind. Angrily, he pushed deeper and spread pain to the corners of her mind. Now Phal, will you kill Equinox to save yourself and defeat me? It was then he noticed a glint of copper diving towards him.

Quasar roared out as she dove towards Crimson. She could tell he was having a mind battle with Phal. She wanted to help Phal, but knew she couldn't. Her connection to Equinox was all that kept him alive. She didn't know how much longer he would last if she withdrew from his mind to help Phal.
Quasar... she flinched, the sudden thought of her mind made her hover above Crimson, inches over him, ready to bath him in flames.. It startled her, it wasn't anyone she recognized.
Who are you? she asked.
Quasar...
Answer me. she demanded.
Would you really kill me. If I die, so does Equinox.
Crimson! What? It can't be you. You are in Phal's mind.
I am. I am wrecking havoc in her mind. Forcing her images of pain to Equinox. My brief conversation with you won't give her too much ground. If any.
Let them go! she snarled.
Phal will serve me. She is more useful that Equinox. I did not take him over, yes, but he had yours, hers, and Elcyon's help. Quasar was about to reply, but Crimson cut her off Don't think about helping Phal. The moment you do, I will cut my contact with Equinox off.
Not like you'd spare him! You're draining his energy! Quasar retorted. Her snarl even came outside her body.
Ah, but here's the catch. If you try to help Phal, I'll kill her. I'm in her mind far enough where I could kill her if she was weak enough. She still putting up a struggle, but once she is weak enough, if you intervene, I'll kill her. Now, think about it Quasar. D you want to see Phal and Equinox dead? Or just Equinox dead but Phal under my control.
Quasar paused for a moment. She blocked her thoughts from Crimson than smirked. No Crimson. I have my own plans. she snarled.
A pity. Crimson replied and pulled out of her mind.
Quasar glared at Crimson, than looked at Phal and said to her, but so Crimson wouldn't notice I'm sorry I can't help you directly Phal, he said he'd kill you if I did. Keep fighting him for as long as you can, I am going to attack him. she said and pulled out of the silver's mind. She looked at Crimson. How would you like your mind invaded. she said for a change. She had a plan to save Equinox and Phal both. But she didn't know what the extent would be. She dove into Crimson's mind, and broke through his defense. He spent most of his energy on fighting Phal. Now, she just had to find his mental link to Equinox.

Equinox slowly slipped in and out of consciousness. He tried to stay awake, but kept finding himself weaker and weaker. He stared out of his eyes, he thought they were his eyes anyway. Everything was so fuzzy. His eyes twitched involuntarily and he saw strange creatures running around. Elcyon... he muttered lazily. Why are there so many dots in the sky... He tried to say something else, but was too weak. He looked at where Eris was, at least he thought he was, and saw so much fuzz he couldn't make anything out. He closed his eyes to sleep. He was so tired...

Dsurion flinched as his underside was torn open. He could feel the blood coming out, but he would live. Wincing, he glared at Fenirexes. He roared fiercely back at him, and dove into the air, and descended down onto him to claw at his back.

Tvashtar nodded to his sister. He knew she was right. He flew into the air and saw the battle going on. He saw Crimson and Phal in their mind fight. But also saw Quasar. She was next to Crimson. Wondering what she was doing She must be attacking his mind. he said to himself. I'll help mother. Elcyon, are you sure you can help? Your injured. Tvashtar said. He flew towards Quasar to assist her.

I'll help Phal then. Savania replied to her sister Tvashtar, Elcyon, both of you be safe. she told them and flew towards the larger silver dragon. Landing next to Phal, Savania glared at Crimson. She jumped into Phal's mind to try and help her push Crimson out Leave Crimson. You now fight two dragons. Savania smirked.
Foolish ignorant dragon. You should have heard what your mother said. Crimson replied both to Phal and Savania.
What do you mean? Savania snapped.
Now, Phal dies. I told your mother if she helped, Phal and Equinox would die. But, because you helped, Phal still dies.
Savania was startled, but retorted back How? You can't kill her without magic?
I have my ways Savania. Crimson replied. And lunged deeper into Phal's mind, while trying to fight back Savania.

Ephidel glared at the cyborg human, and was about to deactivate the magic seal when the cyborg human he captured attacked him. She smacked him to the ground with her arm, and he barely had time to swing his sword up and impale her. He rolled out of the way, and drew out his sword from her body.
She glared up at him, he missed vital organs, but she would bleed to death, "A shame... I failed."
"What do you mean?"
She smirked, and refused to answer. But after a minute she was quite forever. Ephidel glared at her. He knew he would have to fight more of them. He knew they wouldn't accept his help... or anyone's. Curse you Crimson. he said to himself. He gripped the magic seal and shouted, "Magic seal deactivate!" The seal flew into the air and black spires came out of it until the dark purple color of the area was gone. The seal landed in his hand and he looked towards the cyborg humans, "Some of you will get your freedom soon." he said, and grabbed his sword, returning to battle.

Crimson fought against Savania and Phal. He knew he wouldn't be able to keep his promise to kill Phal now. With Savania helping, both dragons would force him back into his own mind. He keep fighting, trying not to give up ground. Then, a fierce blow struck him in the mind. He staggered forward, and felt something pierce through him.
What? Quasar! he said, surprise. He never expected her to invade his own mind.
How do you like it for a change. Quasar taunted.
Crimson cured both Quasar and Phal. He knew he would have to pull back to fight Quasar. Then, something seeped through his body. Some kind of power. It made him feel alive. He could fight more. Magic. So the seals been deactivated. Ephidel, poor fool. Doesn't see what the cost in that. Too bad for him. Crimson smirked.
He left his own mind for a split second, and stabbed again at Phal's mind. Then when she and Savania tried to fight back, he sent a burning flaming pain through both their minds. He made them feel as if they were being burned from the inside out. He then added more to Phal, he made the parts of her brain that triggered pain activate. He sent attacks towards those areas. He sent a second flaming sensation at both of them, but more Savania to drive her out. Then, he made a sweeping turn with the mental fire onto Quasar. He increased the heat and began to scorch her mind.
Curse Ephidel Quasar for he has sacrificed yours, Savania's, and Phal's lives.

No Ephidel... Quasar said, not mad at him, but sad. He had no way of knowing this was happening, but she hopped at least he had not had the seal for just a bit longer. Through the pain and heat, she continued towards Crimson's and Equinox's mental link until she found it. It hurt so much, the pain, but she would make it through. She knew what she had to do to the link. With one final thought to Eris she said to him Stay strong little one.
She felt a presence in her mind, Tvashtar's, but blocked him Tvashtar, you must stay out of this.
But-
Do I say Tvashtar. Help your sister. She made a grave mistake by helping Phal. Don't worry about me, help her. before Tvashtar could reply, Quasar blocked him from her mind and said to her three children I love all of you. Stay strong.
She changed to Equinox and said to him You will live Equinox. Keep fighting. My dear little brother. Though not truly related, she did consider him her brother. She gave one last thought to her friends, and attacked Crimson's and Equinox's mental link.

Aaron crawled away from the main fighting. He knew he was injured and cursed himself for his own pride. He gave a smirk as the magic seal deactivated Why do I think that made things worse. he said to himself. He stopped by some other injured soldiers. They were more injured them he, so he started to do anything he could. All he had was a broken leg.

Klentear flew around striking at the remaining enemy terra birds. He smashed one into the ground and saw the magic seal deactivate. "Finally." he said out loud "Time to die cyborg humans." he dove at them and with great gusts of his wings sent several smashing to the ground from the force of the wind from his great wings.
