 The Burning LandElfenla and her mighty dragon, Zar, had been flying for a couple of days and it was the first time they saw the Hadarac desert.
"Wow, it looks like the earth is burning from up here. It's amazing!" Elfenla was curious and made Zar land on the ground. She touched the sand with her fine hand. It was very hot. "It's a beautiful place. So quiet and peaceful." What's that? Something is moving in that direction. Elfenla looked in the direction Zar had pointed out and he was right. Something was coming against them. Elfenla was ready to use her green sword, if it was enemies. Ahmed had journeyed around the perimeter of the desert and, since his lust for adventure got the best of him, went inside it. He was beginning to regret it as inside his black cloak, it was very very warm. The blazing sun heated his hair to the point of it being hot to the touch and his waterskin was running low.
It was his thrid day traveling in the desert and something troubled him. He felt two presences coming toward him. He looked around and stood still. When he grabbed the handle of his sword, steam came off his hand however he didnt seem to mind it. He saw something however it was wavering. A glint came from the figure to the right and the figure on the left, another glint came off something it was holding. Ahmed realized that this could be an enemy and his palm glowed a cold blue. He also drew his sword and the dragons eye on the handle glowed as well. Ahmed walked forward. _________________ Forever Honor-bound, Forever Strong |

Erelnest let out a defiant screech as he clashed with the Wind Vipers. Verminard and he were fleeing the Boers to reach Du Weldenvarden. These giant birds were nothing but an annoyance on the way. As the mental assault began, Erelnest flipped upside down and raked open the stomach of the first. It fell, with its insides twisting and turning out of its destroyed gut.
Nice said Verminard. Thank You replied Erelnest, his pure white scales, slightly marred by crimson blood, caught the light and reflected up on to Verminards ornate helm. His fine Elven plate mail was resting lightly on his frame. His Elven reflexes and sense told him a few more of the birds were on their way. Erelnest readied himself for the next few. When they flew out of the clouds towards them, he let out a blast of pure white fire. With one incinerated, and two left, Verminard unsheathed his sword Urucàs, and leveled it out to his side. The blade caught the light, and shone brilliant and pure. The Diamond in the hilt glowed slightly from the power which was stored in it. Summoning some of this power, Verminard launched himself onto the back of the next bird, whilst Erelnest bit and slashed at the other. Landing on the brutes back, Verminard spun Urucàs in a circle, and drove in down into the birds spine. It cawed, and fell, it's back broken. Launching himself into the air again, Erelnest came like a bolt out of the blue and he settled himself onto the saddle again. Doing up the straps, they flew onwards, making frivolities to each other about the fight. Nice footwork commented Erelnest Verminard let out a bark of laughter. Once they were free of the mountains, they were over the Hadarac Desert. A decent tail wind was behind them, and they flew easily northwards. Verminard's ears keened in the wind, and he heard the tell tale signs of another dragon. Thud. Thud. Thud. Although as a rider he was used to the increase in pressure as the wings flapped, as an elf he could discern it easily, without pain to his eardrums from a mile or so away. Reaching out his mind, he felt think mental barriers, but the conscience radiated wonder. Turning slightly east, Erelnest descended towards the source. Once again drawing Urucàs, he raised his left hand, and tilted the steel guantleted palm upwards incase he had to do magic. "I am a rider and a friend!" Ghoum kicked his steed into a trot the sleek proud horse's muscles ripling with every stride. The horse spooked to the left as a hair jumped out from the dry grasses out side of the oasis, that Ghoum had spent the night at. The hair sped through the sand, the black horse following close behind. Ghoum pulled his bow back and tried to get a bead on the speedy little creatur, finaly he felt confident and let the arrow fly. The arrow hit the hair in the side with a resounding thrump. Ghoum pulled the horse into a sliding stop just befor the spot the dead hair was at, and he dismounted. The black horse lifted his head and and put his ears forward, looking intenly south east.
